After a long day of traveling and flight delays, we were seriously craving a good steak, and Hal's ended up being the perfect choice! It was conveniently located within walking distance of our hotel, which made the decision even easier. From the moment we sat down, the experience was wonderful. Our server was an absolute delight (Houston), so kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We both ordered the filet mignon au poivre with a side of truffle mac and cheese, and everything was incredible. The steak was cooked perfectly, rich and flavorful, and the mac and cheese was indulgent and delicious. Even though there was a bit of a wait, the staff was so apologetic and accommodating that we truly didn't mind at all. We happily passed the time enjoying fresh bread, sipping on Moscow mules, and listening to live music, which added such a fun and lively atmosphere to the evening. Overall, this was an amazing first dinner in Nashville for me and such a memorable experience. I'm already looking forward to coming back!

Dalene was AMAZING! What a server!! I came here with a girlfriend for her birthday, we had some Aperol spritzes, and we split a wedge salad and a veal dish. It was very tasty. Perfect amount of food and the veal was thinly sliced. Dalene was knowledgeable, suggested items we would like, and she overheard me say it was my friend's birthday, and brought out a birthday dessert for her, which was so thoughtful and a great touch. Next time I'm in Nashville, I will absolutely request her!! Thanks for a great time and great live music!

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my boyfriend's birthday at Hal's. The waiter was phenomenal and very knowledgeable. The ambiance and live music added the extra touch to a nice celebration. The food was delicious and very flavorful!

The food was excellent. The Lobster Le Beaux was worth ordering twice. Condiments were not needed to complement the food. Everything was flavorful. We did expect larger portions of the sides (mashed potatoes & creamy spinach), which were $14 each. Live pianist was a nice touch to the setting. Traditional aesthetics with pops of light created a classic steakhouse atmosphere. Service started quietly but became attentive as the evening progressed.

Great atmosphere, good food and good live entertainment. It was a little loud, but we were in the back by the kitchen. We walked in without a reservation and were kindly seated immediately. They have great drinks, but not much in the way of non alcoholic beverages. My water glass was kept filled, so no complaints here. Our server was great, friendly and knowledgeable. We went the day after Valentines day so there were out of two things I would have lived to have ordered. But they made up for it with the beautiful roses on the table. Hubby had the duck l'orange and it was 10/10. Loved it. I ordered the veal picata. It was good but a little too salty. We had the creme brulee, and it was one of the better ones I've had in a while. The texture was perfect. We felt a little silly going to a steakhouse and not having steak, so we will definitely be back. The vibe is old school steakhouse and the plates coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. It is kinda pricey, so we will have to save up, lol.

A spectacular dining event to celebrate a milestone birthday! We arrived early for our reservation and the friendly host explained they wouldn't be able to seat us till our scheduled time but make yourselves happy at the bar. Enough said! They came to get us right on time and got us seated. Dark paneled walls with chandeliers and smaller dining areas make this a cozy dining space. There is also seating upstairs with private dining rooms. Taylor was amazing and made our dining experience fantastic. He was engaged, made great suggestions and checked on us often. He started with our drink order while we checked out the menu. They brought us the garlic toast and we ordered our meal. Food was 100/10! Steaks were done perfectly to temp. Taylor had suggested a peppercorn sauce which my dining companion tried and loved. The asparagus and mashed potatoes were also delicious. After dinner we were brought out a birthday treat to bring an end to our amazing meal. We've eaten at Hal's in Atlanta and now Nashville and while I love the team at home, Nashville and Taylor have won my heart!!

Our first restaurant stop in a city we've never been to. Hal's was walking distance from our hotel in downtown Nashville. This restaurant has been here for less than a year but sure is making waves. Our server, Mike, was literally the best server we could have asked for. His food suggestions from the Lobster L' Beaux to the Shrimp & Crab Remoulade were just amazing! I had the Filet au Poivre with a side of angel hair pasta and my hubby had the Bone-in Filet Mignon with the Truffle Mac & Cheese. We shared the brussel sprout side dish...delish! We had two Old Fashions and I had a beautiful Malbec red to pair with my dish. Just amazing. The ambiance was great with live music and a dark but classy vibe. It was definitely a classy and conservative design perspective. Loved our first dining experience in Nashville.

Enjoyed an evening here for a business dinner meeting in their private room. Seating was good for the 14 of us and the waitress was wonderful too. She did a great job with overview of offering as well as seeing that our glasses were refilled and everything arrived timely. The food was good. The only complaint is that they don't offer complimentary parking, but do offer discounted fee for valet at the hotel. At the price point parking should be complimentary.

Hal's "The Steakhouse" is a classic steakhouse experience. The tablecloths are snow-white, we had a live musician, and the waiters are very professional. The prices are mid-range for a steakhouse (still quite extortionate). The steak was good quality, but the sides were a bit underwhelming. Here's what we tried: -Filet Mignon Au Poivre: 9/10 - I got mine cooked Pittsburgh style and rare, while my boyfriend got medium rare. Both were cooked perfectly to our desires. The steak had a lovely flavor, and was a good portion. The cognac sauce was also to die for. Couldn't get enough. -Brabant Potatoes with Garlic Butter: 7/10 - They were good, nothing special. I honestly couldn't taste the garlic butter at all, but the crispness of the outside with the soft potatoey inside was nice. -Sauteed Spinach: 6/10 - Run of the mill. Garlicky, nothing special. -Brussel Sprouts: 8.5/10 - Loved these Brussels!! They were clearly deep fried which gave them the utmost crispness with a super rich flavor. I didn't love the addition of the onion/bacon bits, though. -Truffle Mac: 6.5/10 - It was okay. The flavor was good at first but soon the truffle became sickening (and I LOVE truffle). The sauce was also a bit grainy.

Solid mojito and margarita, and a feast for the eyes and palate.

Truly extraordinary service. Unlike so many restaurants post-COVID, this place was very well staffed. In addition to our attentive and witty waiter, there were probably 4 other staff clearing plates, pouring water, refreshing our fresh baked garlic bread basket, etc. We ordered a lot of dishes-including a second serving of the shrimp with remoulade and cocktail sauce-so good!! They came out in very timely fashion and with flourish. The chef made me a special dairy-free version of the Chilean sea bass, which was just luscious. The combination of flavors and textures produced by the melt-in your-mouth fish, light, crispy topping, and silky spinach all in one bite was truly memorable. The dark paneled wood interior and white linen tablecloths made for an elegant dining experience, & our waiter simultaneously matched our Midwestern vibe--keeping things fun and unpretentious for us, which we appreciated. Enjoyed being able to hear live music earlier than a lot of other restaurants offer live music. Friendly from first greeting-exceptionally well managed. Welcoming of people with food allergies and disabilities. Highly recommended!

    22oz bone in ribeye

I stopped in for a solo dinner tonight and had a wonderful dining experience thanks to William. He was very attentive and explained the menu and gave great recommendations. I ordered the 22oz bone in ribeye and a small side of creamed spinach. I was very impressed with the ribeye. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and I was able to cut through it like butter. The quality of the steak was fantastic. The creamed spinach was also delicious and not too salty!

Top notch service! Front start to finish. Even went the extra mile to hold my leftovers while we did a show so we didn't have to take them to the car. Even allowed us to extend our valet. The food was phenomenal. And you will love the compliment garlic bread. Nice location, great valet spot. Dim light and even had a pianist. Craig was our waiter and he was AMAZING as well!

Excellent old school steakhouse located in the same hotel complex with Marriott AC hotel and next to the Joseph Hotel (best hotel in Nashville!). Live music/piano player as you walk in the bar area. Staff is amazing starting with the hostess/bartenders and food runners. Excellent wine selection by the glass/bottle. Bartenders were very accommodating to allow tasting of 2 of the Cabernets offered by the glass. Food menu is excellent lots of offerings Beef/Seafood/Poultry/Veal and Pasta. House garlic bread to start was tasty. Followed by House Chopped Salad with House Vinaigrette. Star of the meal was the Filet Medallions pictured below! Cooked perfectly med-rare and blackened. Did not expect 3 nice sized filets so much food for 1 had to get a to go bag (since staying at the Joseph the leftover was given to the doorman who was beyond thrilled). Did not try dessert but can only imagine it's excellent. If traveling solo and staying at nearby hotel definitely worth end of work week dinner and sitting in the bar area. Also noted the high top tables in the bar area are 1st come/1st serve. Highly recommend this restaurant when in Nashville and will return based on Excellent Service, Quality of Food and Wine and Atmosphere.

With a 4.77 aggregate rating across all user-driven platforms and nearly 1,700 reviews to date, Krustaceans is much better on paper than it is in reality, a very overrated restaurant! As the highest-rated seafood joint on the entirety of Highway 70 across the America, it simply did not live up to the hype as I passed through Nashville. Perhaps I should have ordered crab or shrimp or some other boiled seafood which seems to be more of their specialty. But the fish and chips caught my attention. Beware, these aren't the fish and chips you'll find in the UK or the Northeastern United States. Instead of a crisp, beer-battered exterior, this is more like a catfish breading. And it's not bad, but it's just very different than the name would imply. The batter is probably too salty, but the fish is very fresh! The Cajun fries are horribly mediocre. They're definitely just frozen fries from a local supermarket with an uninspiring spice mix. The employees didn't seem very welcoming either, which was kind of sad since I was excited to be there. It's not a bad meal at all, but the ratings are way higher than they should be! If you're haphazardly shelling out five-star reviews, you've probably never had real seafood on the coast and have only inflated the truth for online viewers. Don't expect too much out of Krustaceans, hope for a decent meal, and you won't be disappointed.

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended. While it is one of your more expensive area stops for dinner, you will appreciate the food quality and presentation at Gannons Nashville for your next special occasion.
