I can't even explain how much I love this place. The first time I walked in, I had literally never owned a plant in my life and was pretty nervous. The sales associate was so kind and answered all of my questions, as well as made plenty of great recommendations as to which plants may best suite me since I am a beginner. I have since come back and just bought my second plant today because I had to make a deal with myself that I can only buy one plant per month since I want all of them! Have you ever felt as though you've opened the 5th gate of heaven and you're so close to the spiritual realm you could melt? Because that's about as much of an explanation to how this place makes me feel. First things first, Bennie the Boxer, the VP of Marketing, is a darn cutie. If she was for sale I'd have purchased 5. She recognizes me now and gets so excited to see me! Michael does an awesome job of creating a no pressure sales system and it feels very.... Think Pokémart. This store is fantastic and the people work there are so knowledgeable about all the different plants and succulents. Everything is very well cared for and healthy. The sister store named Pueblo on 10th and perice is brand new it's also a great store. Such a large selection of plants that you can't find anywhere else. This place has some amazing specimens. If you're looking to add some green to your space, this is the place. Employees are also very helpful and knowledgable so don't be shy to ask questions about your new friends. There are also some incredibly stylish pots and home decor so leave some extra cash in your wallet to pick some stuff out. It's so important to support your local plant store so make sure to check this place out! My only criticism is they don't sell any soil so if I pick out a new plant I have to go somewhere else to get it, which is a huge bummer in my opinion. I've always been really intimidated by big nurseries. Mainly because I'm not a gardener whatsoever. So I was ready to feel really overwhelmed and to google each plant I looked at for information about watering, light needs, etc. I was pleasantly surprised that I absolutely did not need to. Firstly, The Bosque is super cute: there are a lot of really neat things to just look at, besides the beautiful plants. Secondly, the boxer there is just so sweet. And thirdly(and the most important), is that Michael (the owner) was so incredibly friendly and informative. He gave me all the info I needed, and also urged me to contact him if I had any questions at all. I was not overwhelmed in the least. An adorable and unique little plant shop. They have quite the variety: air plants, succulents, hanging plants, Venus flytraps -- you name it, they have it! I'm NOT by any means a green thumb, but I love the way house plants improve any environment, so I chatted with Michael (the wonderfully sweet and knowledgeable owner) for a while before settling on a little potted plant from Be Coffee's tables and a hanging purple and green plant (sorry, I don't know plant names). Michael gave me lots of advice on how to take care of the plants and helped me pick out a cute pot for the smaller one that would fit my budget. Love this place. The ambiance is perfect - if they were shooting for "tasteful but lived-in plant-obsessed naturalist's study," they nailed it. The range of plants is quite charming, as are the pots, and everything is so mind-blowingly reasonably priced that I felt like I'd somehow cheated by walking out with a pot and a plant for under $15. I feel like there's room to grow in terms of art/prints, but that may be a good thing. If they ever stumble across the perfect botanical art that I never knew I wanted, I'm screwed. I love The Bosque. Downtown Phoenix is all the better for it. It's definitely not your average plant store. I see so many cool and unique and weird products in there all of the time. The owner, Michael, is such a sweetheart and so knowledgeable. His approach to educating customers on each plant and how to care for them always instills the confidence that I am going to give my plants long and healthy lives. n.b. this is a HOUSEplant shop - hoyas, ficus, spider plants, etc. I was expecting a nursery with a shopfront. Still, this is a cute little shop with friendly and helpful staff, and the humidity inside is a welcome break from the dry Phoenix air. Nice selection of tillandsia and everything looked healthy and happy (speaking as a former certified nursery worker, I know what healthy plants look like). A bit on the pricey side for pretty common houseplants (a $35 little hoya?) but I like to support local businesses when I can, and besides, I'm all for helping small independent shops move in to previously blighted areas. I am absolutely crushing on this little store. For me it doesn't get any better than a plant store that is immediately adjacent to a wonderful coffee shop. Sure it's small, but they have a pretty varied selection nonetheless. Succulents, cacti, indoor house plants, and big statement plants are to be found here. When I get other plants from big box nurseries, I usually have to change out soil, treat for gnats, prune dead leaves and generally help them recover. This is one of the coolest places in Phoenix! The interior is fabulous and their plant selection is awesome. They also have the coolest planters, mounted ferns, misters, etc. It's not always easy to obtain difficult-to-find plants in Phoenix but this place has tons of variety and they're always adding more.
