Costata di Maiale (pork chop with smoked mozzarella & prosciutto) side of sauted spinach and potatoes
    cj l.

Food, service and ambiance were all great! Armando, Leo and Alberto took care of us throughout the entire meal. Armando would check in on the experience and share more about their ingredients and history. Leo checked on us well before we could ever need to ask for something but also gave us the space and assurance that there was no rush. Alberto never let a glass go empty, a dirty plate or utensil sit on the table and timed everything that was brought to the table around the conversation being had. Based on the front of house staff and the food that came out, I can imagine we'd have just as great of an experience if we had dined in the kitchen there. We ordered the clams to start, followed by lasagna, butternut squash ravioli and the pork chop. The pork chop will be a signature dish there for sure! Both pasta dishes were incredible and I think the 3 of us could order the ravioli every time. If I had one tiny hesitation it would be that the potatoes were under-salted but my goodness they were so perfectly crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pesto they serve you upon arrival. The menus are the perfect size too. Plenty to choose from and try the next time but not overwhelming. Great wine or beer options. They have specials too! Armando shared that they make everything in house, the cheeses are imported for quality and that they use wild caught seafood! Yayy!! We will definitely be back

The calamari itself were about as good as I've ever had! The meat was sweet and tender, and the fried crust was light and not too oily. Perfect. Our daughter (calamari lover) loved it too. She doesn't care about any sauce, marinara or aioli. I would have like some aioli. The pappardelle was perfectly cooked fresh pasta. Lastly the pork chop was amazing. The potatoes were a perfect foil for the flavors of the pork and gravy. And the gravy! I was concerned that it might be not needed but it worked well! The spinach was the perfect temperature without getting mushy. We LOVED it and will be back many times.

The food was amazing so fresh not salty at all. We had the veal Marsala which is not on very many Italian menus also an amazing salad and it came with homemade !! Delicious!! We were greeted by Leo which was so nice and attentive not to mention Armando the owner was so kind and went to every table to see how everyone was doing. We went on Christmas Eve. It was a great dinner and a great night. Can't wait to go back it's so beautiful decorated inside as well thank you

I took my mom to dinner here tonight. The food was incredible. So amazing. The service was superb and the owner is just a super great guy. 5 stars. You must go here. You will be amazed at the presentation brought out to you. I had the pork chop and it's the best I have ever had. The ravioli with squash was incredible this sauce that made the flavors pop. So fricken great. I will be back soon. It's where the old Stella's use to be in Newbury Park across from the Alamo

The place looked packed, but we had reservations so we were seated in a timely manner. The place was very lively, they had a live performer singing and we saw some people were dancing and really having a good time. Kendal was our waiter for the night, who assisted us beautifully. He made sure to prepare our setting was clean and new after each course. We were also kindly assisted by Gavo who was the manager. They have this really cool wine on tap where you can sample a bunch of different wines! Gavo showed us how to use it and later came to our table to check up on us and tell us more about the restaurant. They have a girls night on Wednesdays and all day happy hour on Sundays! Now the food, it was a set menu with appetizer, salad, pasta, entree and dessert. Everything was perfectly portioned and delicious. The menu is on a small iPad so you can click on a picture a see what the menu item looks like. I liked this feature so I knew exactly what I was ordering. We decided to order the crispy cauliflower, the short rib hummus dish, and baba's chicken. The crispy cauliflower was delicious. I liked the sauce and crispy chickpeas that came with it. We really enjoyed the short rib with the hummus and pita too. The meat was tender and the combination of the flavors was excellent. Baba's chicken was amazing. It was better than I expected. The flavor of the chicken with the couscous and carrots was great. We would get all of these items again. We ended the meal with the chocolatine dessert. This was one of the best desserts we've ever had. The warm chocolate Crossiant bread pudding with the horchata ice cream on top was perfection. I loved the little detail of the sprinkled honeycomb. As pescatarians, we found the menu somewhat limited. While the food was competently prepared and attractively presented, it did not justify the final bill of $213.77. The meal began with a complimentary amuse-bouche of burrata cream on watermelon tasting which was elegant and flavorful, but small. For starters, we ordered the Hamachi, Salmon Tartare Tacos, and Smoked Trout Toast. Each dish had an interesting concept, but none stood out. The salmon and tartare were ground so finely that they lacked the texture and freshness we expected. For our entrées, we had the Tomato & Burrata and the Sea Bream. The sauce accompanying the burrata was excellent and was the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the sea bream itself was slightly overcooked. We also tried two non-alcoholic drinks: a hibiscus mocktail and a lychee lemonade. Both were pleasant but unremarkable. For dessert, we ordered the peach galette and the chocolate dessert. They were nicely presented but tasted average. The chocolatine contained croissant bits. Given the restaurant's prices, we expected desserts to be better curated and with memorable flavors. Instead, they reminded us of supermarket-quality desserts. Overall, this is a beautiful restaurant with excellent service, but the food did not live up to either the presentation or the price. We'd consider returning for the atmosphere, but not for the value.
