Driving back from the mountains, my hubs and I stopped here for lunch. He loves coming here on his way home from boarding in Breck so I figured it was a good choice for lunch. It's a sit-down restaurant with super fresh and healthy options. I ordered the salad with the salmon and was extremely disappointed in my choice. The entrée cost $22 and the piece of salmon was mostly skin and inedible. I should have said something to the server, but I just ate what I could and we left. My husband loved the bowl he ordered, so there's that. I just don't think charging $9 for salmon is appropriate when the salmon is that crappy. read more

Nice atmosphere, excellent service and a menu setup that offers a nice variety of dishes that covers vegan to meat lovers by having a bowl or salad and adding a protein of your choosing. Should I find myself in Frisco again I will definitely eat here again, maybe twice. read more

I thought the food was good and service great. My complaint is a management one. I chose this restaurant because I'm a vegetarian. I ordered a dish and it came out with chicken. No big deal. I asked if I could have the dish without the chicken . It came back out one minute later with the chicken removed. I explained that it is an ethical choice in my life and I can't eat a dish prepared with the meat and please could it be prepared that way. If a place advertises as vegan and vegetarian friendly it should go without saying that the staff should be aware of those choices. Again, not the fault of the staff. They were great. read more

26 Nov 21 - while spending Thanksgiving with my son and grand children in Frisco we had a late lunch at one of his favorite restaurants. There were five of us and I ordered the lamb burger and my husband had the beef cheese burger. Both of them came with an abundance of home made potato chips. We both ordered our burgers medium and they were cooked to perfection. We also had a very friendly waiter by the name of Jesse who has been his waiter before. Even though we were five we did not have to wait a long time for our meals to arrive. It is also vegan friendly and has lots of vegetarian meals on their menu. My son who is vegetarian had a nice vegan salad. Stop by this restaurant if you visit Frisco which is located in the Whole Foods shopping center, you will not regret it! read more

As a vegetarian who happened to be visiting Frisco, Pure Kitchen seemed like the best place to check out when arriving in town for the night and hungry. The ambiance of the place is interesting. It has the feel of a usual bar/restaurant but, because of its menu, also has a hipster feel to it. In some senses, it could be off-putting because it has an almost laid-back/ski town/hipster/bar/vegan vibe all combined into one but somehow it works all right given the area you're in. I mean, our server had his hat on backwards and you can add a CBD shot for $10 to one of your fruit drinks if you want if that gives you the feel of it all. And the other guests certainly covered that array as well from one guy sitting at the table next to us who looked like an 80s villain/member of Cobra Kai to two women sitting at the bar and, as I walked by, one said to the other, "You got married today!" Huh? I wasn't expecting all of this on a weekday! We ended up ordering a variety of vegetarian items off the menu. Spring rolls, spinach and mushroom flatbread, organic lotus bowl with tempeh, sweet potato lasagna, jackfruit tacos. All the food choices were good. I wouldn't say they were necessarily great as compared to the variety of vegan/vegetarian restaurants I've been to around the country or in L.A. where I live but still it was much appreciated given such an option exists in the area. In particular, the jackfruit tacos and organic lotus bowl stood out of all the items. The other items were fairly standard but still enjoyable. I don't drink alcohol but I did choose one of their non-alcoholic "refreshers," a prickly pear lemonade, which was enjoyable if you're in the mood. The price point is a bit high but understanding the uniqueness of the restaurant for the area and that they express a commitment to those hot words of "fresh" and "local," it makes sense. One hiccup from our dinner was that we ordered during happy hour (5:30 PM). I even asked our server if it was happy hour and he confirmed. But when we received our bill, the prices were not reflective of happy hour. I wasn't paying and my friend didn't care so I didn't push on it. I imagine if we had brought it up to our server, he would have updated the bill. However, just keep this in mind if you did come here for happy hour and were hoping to have that experience/pricing. Ultimately, it was a good experience and, again, I appreciate when such an option exists in a town/area of this size and close by to the hotels, etc. It's far better than having to deal with mainstream, corporate chain restaurants. I would return again if back in Frisco and needing a dinner out. read more

The selection of healthy plates here is top notch. We started with the Shishido peppers typically, I'm not a sauce girl but it was a light glaze on top with sea salt. Moral of the story, when it comes to the peppers, don't skimp on the sauce. Totally worth it. I've been a few times now with my family. I truly can't get enough of the quinoa and black bean patty and the activated charcoal dressing. Again, not a dressing or sauce person. If it was socially acceptable to lick the ramekin of dressing, I probably would have. Other things to order: sweet potato lasagna. Sliced thin sweet potato with the other more traditional ingredients of lasagna. What a creative twist on an Italian classic. I also love that you can see the fresh produce right when you walk in along with some dishes being prepared. It gives the restaurant a homey, farm to table feel. The service was a tad slow but if that's the only slight knock I can give, I think Pure is doing all right! read more

I feel like 80% of the time I pay for a new service or experience it's bad and I just wasted my money. My soda was flat. My beer was flat. I got the Thai Bowl and the chicken was cold, the noodles were cold and were not in tact. I could tell the noodles were pre prepped and hand scooped into the bowl, breaking them into 100 tiny pieces. Waste of $35 for just myself. Why does this happen to me 80% of the time. It's because it's america and nobody cares. Very disappointing. The service was a little lacking here. Had to wait at the bar for 10 minutes just to get ketchup (after asking our server for it)! We never got our waters refilled either. Two of our party had burgers and they were burnt. Two of us had the sweet potato lasagna, which was good. amazing menu! I have celiac, as well as a dairy issue. my husband can eat anything! so, I was excited to find a restaurant where we could both be happy. I'm so sick of a choice of no bun hamburger or salad when traveling. at pure kitchen I could order gluten and dairy free meatloaf and mashed potatoes (no milk!!) with a seriously good gravy. I almost got a flatbread but they didn't have anything with toppings that I could eat. a red sauce with rustic pepperoni and olives would be a good addition to the menu, or a Thai pizza without cheese. just a thought. my hubby had the ago tacos, which were good, but he kept stealing my meatloaf!! it was soooo good! also, soup of the day was chicken pot pie soup. it was so good that we got one "to go". staff was great too. read more

Fantastic addition to the Frisco and Summit County scene. While service was a bit slow and the server a bit new in her role, the food and concept are awesome. Fresh farm to table, organic, vegan, tasty dishes served in a friendly way with attentive service. Duck tacos and cauliflower tacos were awesome, hummus was garlicky and delicious, ancient grain "crackers" were tasty although a bit salty and forbidden rice noodles with the addition of sushi-grade tuna was fantastic. We went to celebrate a significant anniversary with dinner. We were seated right away, and the waitress was quick to take our order. Then, the wait started. 1 order of tacos, and 1 Mediterranean bowl. We waited 25+ minutes while the waitress never gave us an update or made eye contact. When she finally brought the food, she had made a mistake on one of the dishes. She tried to convince us that her mistake was still a good dish. Then she offered to have the kitchen remake the dish we had ordered. We were not happy, and chose to take the one correct item to go, after paying for it. I have been trying to talk to the manager but he hasn't attempted to call me back. Deeply disappointed that despite 2 attempts from me, he is too busy to do so. read more

1. Everything on the menu sounded AMAZING. 2. Ordered sandwiches with kale salad. My chicken was over cooked. The burger was cooked correctly. The flavors were delicious. The kale salad was not a kale salad and was not good, we didn't eat it so $16-18 for the meal wasn't worth it. As other reviewers said, lettuces were wilted and it wasn't from being overdressed. They were old, once green leaves were yellow. Should have stuck with the homemade chips I think based on others plates. 3. The vibe was not great when we were visiting. There was about 6-8 employees around the host stand and bar doing a mix of PDA, playing music from their phone, eating, and chatting. 1 star all day for the poor service. Not friendly, not attentive. We were sat at a not busy time, around 1. Server was quite nonchalant, not welcoming, showed us to our table, dropped menus and left. There we sat for about 20-25 minutes without a single server acknowledging us though basically every employee we saw walked by at least once. Then finally the same guy that sat us came over and again, poor attitude, to take our order. By that time he had walked a past about 6 or so times, we just figured it wasn't his section. Go figure. We had a lovely and delicious dinner at Pure Kitchen. It's a cute place with an open kitchen, inviting bar, grand windows, and a terrific patio. They are doing a great job with COVID signage and precautions. We started with cocktails and the cauliflower hummus, and they were terrific. Then we each had a bowl topped with tempeh. Fantastic stop after a day of skiing. This restaurant features thoughtfully designed, delicious food. Organic ingredients, including high quality proteins, as well as excellent labelling of gluten-free and vegan options. We ordered the duck tacos and the Forbidden rice bowl. Both were delicious, but be aware that the chile-infused sour cream on the duck tacos is VERY spicy. We are traveling with a vegan so it is very difficult to find places that offer vegan food. The rest of us have pretty restrictive diet as well and they seem to be a good choice. I chose the Mexican bowl as written no protein. I actually thought it was very good. I would eat it again. Two of our group chose Ahi tuna tacos. The way you prepare I he is you just warm it up and that should be right pink. Both seem to be over cut and dry. They said they would never get it again. Two others ordered the flat bread pizza and seemed to enjoy it. And the vegan ordered a vegan taco and seemed to enjoy it. We had a large group and sat right away and had very good service. I guess the four star is for that ahi tuna being cooked and not just seared. read more

Seriously love this place! Have never had a bad meal and have been here several times. Most recently, my fiance and I chose to break our COVID restaurant "fast" and Pure Kitchen was the first restaurant we sat down out to eat in months. It was great. The staff has a flow set up for patrons to stay safe, tables are set up far enough apart, mask wearing, etc. I had the lamb burger with the delicious cream of brussel sprout soup. Seriously sounds weird but it was so good. The only part I didn't love was that the lamb burger had chips on the bottom bun. Yes, like potato chips. It is on the menu that way though, I just personally really didn't like the chips because they got a little soggy from the burger and pesto. My fiance got the Kale salad with steak. The chef didn't like how the kale looked and had our waitress come chat and give other fresher options. He ended up with a spinich and arugula mix that was amazing. The steak was incredibly tender. Also, always worth splurging on one of their fancy (nonalcoholic) drinks! This time I had their raspberry iced tea and my fiance had the strawberry Italian soda. Both sooo good! Poor service at bar and then restaurant which was not full - only two other people at the bar, bartender basically ignored us, took 10 minutes to order a beer and was never asked what I would like to drink. Bartender turned away to get the beer, one beer two patrons? When seated in restaurant staff seemed visibly annoyed by requests eg ordering another app or beverage - food was so-so not great, for the price the food and service should have been excellent. Have dined here before and had good experience, the concept is desirable - big disappointment, mud season is no excuse. Overpriced for the experience :( read more
