The energy of the staff was amazing the menu is creative AND thoughtful. My wife is among the pickiest people that I have met when it comes to food quality and Pure Kitchen is on it! My girlfriend requested gluten free bread, as she has an extremely severe allergy which she noted. The server gave her gluten bread, and the kitchen staff did not realize they had messed up until she had already started eating it. She then instantly became sick and started throwing up in the restaurant's bathroom. Very little attention to detail, or the customer. At the very least, this establishment should be ashamed and rethink their method of administering gluten free choices. read more

Double check their cooking processes because they are currently NOT vegan. I got food poisoning from cross contamination with meat. I've been vegan for a couple of years now. I ordered their vegan brussel sprouts and vegan chocolate cake. The cake in my opinion was not worth $8 since it was smaller and was somewhat good but not over the top. Their brussel sprouts were delicious, so much so that I asked how they cooked it. They told me they bake it and then they deep fry it for a couple minutes to order. With tip, my total was $32 for an app, tea and dessert. After about 30 minutes I started feeling abdominal pain, hot flashes with slight urges to vomit. Once I got home I tried to go to bed but tossed and turned all night. The next day I had 5 bowel movements with stomach pain throughout the day, tried to limit my food intake and focus on foods that are probiotic and prebiotic. I called the restaurant and asked if they cook anything else in their deep fryer and they said chicken. I ask if they change their grease and they mentioned they do not. Since I ate at the end of the night, who knows how many dead chickens were thrown in that deep fryer. I also don't know if they clean their grease every day, week, month. I explained to the manager that this cooking practice is not vegan and it is cross contamination. She agreed the only thing she could confirm is that the brussel sprouts are gluten free (classic). I asked her if I could get some money back for my pain since the meal felt overpriced and she asked if I had a doctors note. She offered a gift card but I don't trust their cooking practices anymore. She told me she would call me back the following day which she did. She mentioned that since I went hiking on the same day as ordering food that she didn't want to reimburse me for some of my meal. She stated that hiking at altitude can cause abdominal pain. She's not wrong, but I am an experienced climber/hiker and I have never had such pain like this from climbing/hiking. The only time I have had pain like this is when I eat something that is an animal product or cooked with animal products. I figured a place that is so vegan/vegetarian forward would know how to properly cook vegan food and provide a little bit better customer service when they know they fucked up (cooking brussel sprouts with chicken grease). I was excited to share this place with my partner as my last experience here was great, but not today. We were seated quickly as there were 5 occupied tables and the rest of the tables were open. We watched staff walk past us repeatedly and make eye contact but no one stopped to greet or serve us. The couple who walked in at the same time as us got their drinks and ordered their meal while we sat, ignored. Eventually we took the hint and left. Great mix of foods like bowls, pastas, and interesting appetizers. Lots of veggie options and mainly local farms and ranches. Lame. For a restaurant that purports to be about living a healthy life, they couldn't care less about anyone with a Food Allergy. Conveniently, at the bottom of the menu, they have a disclaimer stating that all of their food could be cross contaminated with any of the top FDA fatal allergens. So basically, they've stated we completely give up on any semblance of food preparation standards, and our process are so lax that any food can mix with any other food at any time. If a restaurant can't even reassure a guest they can keep major allergens separated from other ingredients, I wouldn't trust they cleanliness standards in general. Eat here at your own risk. Bought a condo next door. Had time today to go try the place for lunch. Had the lamb burger. Really good! Will try a dinner here soon and see how it goes. Maybe pricey for some folks here in Summit but in the real world it's what it costs to eat out these days. Nice environment and I sat at the bar. Camille was great serving me. Lots of millennial type guys walking around with their flat brimmed caps and stuff. Didn't seem very approachable for anything. Maybe they're the proprietors from Breck. Please leave that attitude back over their. Frisco needs to continue to be a bit more friendly to the customers. Lots of newly opened places that have lost the idea of customer service up here. The steak I had was pretty good but they didn't have salt or pepper on the table and the service wasn't bad but it wasn't good. It is definitely understaffed. One thing I liked was that it catered to gluten frees and vegans. But there menu isn't very big and I think they should add more to it. This excellent new restaurant opened a few months ago in the new Basecamp Mall across from the (also new) Whole Foods in Frisco. I might have given this place 5 stars, except some things need to be buffed up due to a very inexperienced staff. The food was amazing, very healthy, beautifully prepared and tasted wonderful. Portions were just right for healthy eating, but you won't be taking home leftovers. I recommend the Kari Chicken, which was delicious. The Summit Stir-fry had excellent flavors, though the vegetables were a little overcooked. A few minor negatives: No one seemed to be running the place and there were a lot of staff standing around. Water and drinks weren't refilled. Staff occasionally forgot their masks. The bathrooms had not been cleaned at all that day and were a mess. The toilet seats had fallen off the toilets. The towel dispenser was empty in one bathroom and improperly adjusted so that you couldn't pull out the paper towels properly. The soap dispenser was mounted improperly over a foot from the sink. Pure Kitchen has the potential to be the best restaurant in Frisco with better management. They were moderately busy this Sunday, being one of the few restaurants in town open for in-house dining. Let's see if the can up their game as Covid winds down. read more
