Came here with a friend who was visiting from the Bay Area and getting pedicures is our thing to do together. I had recently moved to Pasadena and I usually do my own pedi at home so I didn't have a regular go to in the area. Found this spot on Yelp and it looked nice and clean so decided to give it a shot. Made appointment the day before which was pretty easy to do and we got there in time. The pedicure in and of itself was pretty mediocre. It took all of 10 minutes and my friend and I were stunned at how quick it was. We usually get to relax in the chair and catch up for at 30-45 minutes but this felt so rushed. Not only that but before the polish even dried, the receptionist came up and told us that we were the last customers and if we could please pay now. WHILE we were still in the massage chairs. Ummmm okayyyyy?? The paint job was ok but there was no level of service after it was done. Usually I have the techs check in afterwards and ask how I like the color and then either help me with getting my flip flops on or provide those disposable sandals. Prices were pretty in line with what's expected but given the rush and lack of service I will not be going back. read more

Best nail shop, hands down! David is so friendly and responsive. Appointment making is a breeze! Holly and Kate are my girls fo life! They make me feel so beautiful and well taken care of! Music is on point and there's an 85° bakery across the street. Need I say more? Try it out, you won't regret it! To be frank I was disappointed with majority of the experience. The glow is Tanya! She is fabulous and meticulous. She took her time and really perfected the nails. I am overall happy with the nails The meh parts: (yes plural) I called to make an appointment and since they were allowing walk ins. I was 4 minutes down the road so I decided to come straight in since the receptionist said there was no wait. I also asked what the price for dip nails would be and was quoted $40. I got there and I waited over 30 minutes before even getting to pick a color and sit down. I was upset because you have to pay for parking with the meters and I would've just arrived later had I known of the wait. I know it's not a big deal but I was stressed with the 2 hour limit and possibly getting a ticket had I gone over. I ended up getting tips done which I asked what the extra charge would be. I was told $5... apparently it's per hand because I was charged $10 for it. It took roughly an hour and a half to remove my regular nail polish, cut cuticles, do the tips, and the dip powder. Which was fine... but for being an upscale nail salon I had to ask for lotion and the top coat to be put on. I literally thought it was a joke. They overall experience was ruined for me when I literally heard them charge more than they quoted the lady next to me and then they tell me $60 for my nails.... I asked about the original quote of $40 and then the tips charge and they came up with some excuse of a pandemic charge. The girl who came in after me did the exact same dip powder just a different color and got hers for $40. She spoke the receptionists language though. This place is a sham in the sense that they don't advertise prices and just charge you whatever they feel based on your looks. I can only hope these nails are worth what I paid. THE OWNER EVEN WRITES $40 ON YELP. So disappointed. read more

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION EVERY TIME! I've been coming to this salon for more than a year and it has never failed me. Everyone there is extremely kind, detail oriented, gentle, precise and do such a good job. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I've had my nails done by almost every gel X manicurist there and they have ALL done a fantastic job. I have been going to this nail salon every few weeks for 5 years and have never once been disappointed with the quality of my nails! They have so many color choices and services to choose from! The customer service is also amazing! I really dislike when a nail artist constantly steps away from doing my nails, making my appointment unnecessarily longer. That never happens at Pure Nails! They also make sure to keep the salon clean and always play good music! 10/10 would recommend! read more

After my usual nail girl at my salon left, I was on a mission to find a new place. After countless places, I stumbled upon this place and let me just say- wow! I've always been a little iffy spending a little more than what I'm used to but everything about this place is great! I got lucky with Tera the first time I came and will be continuing to go to her. My first set with her lasted an entire month and still looked perfect. I've had the worst of luck and am soooo happy I finally found a place I love! I've been a regular here since I moved to Pasadena a couple years ago. It made sense that I'd bring my bridal party here to get our nails done pre wedding. Pure Nails did a wonderful (over the top) job and even had balloons set up for us. I always see Susan for gel manicures. She's very meticulous. It's worth noting though that everyone that's ever taken care of me has been great though. read more

Soooo in love with my new nails! I was looking for a new place and so after doing some intense Yelp research lol I came in to Pure Nails Spa. I waited a little for my appointment but it was no biggie to me, it gave me some time to look at all the color options they have. Tara was very nice and gentle which I liked and she never gave me "rush" vibes even though I ended up being the last customer and she was one of the last employees there. She still took her time and she did my nails like a pro! Parking did suck cus it's paid meter. This was my second visit and I asked for Jenny per a friend's recommendation. I asked for a gel manicure and showed her a pic off Pinterest and just asked her to change the colors, file my nails down with an oval shape and she delivered. She took her time carefully removing my old gel polish without stripping my actual nail bed and was really intricate with cleaning up my cuticles. She did such an amazing job and was so thorough. I went here with my daughter for a mommy-daughter day and they were amazing! The nail tech who did my 5 year old daughter's nails was so patient with her. She offered her water while my daughter was waiting for me to finish. Also, their gel manicures last way longer than any place I've been to! My gel polish has been on a month and are totally grown out but the edges have not peeled AT ALL! 4 weeks. No chipping. No peeling! I will be going back soon and plan on making this my "go-to" nail salon. read more

This isn't your average nail salon, this is the best nail salon in Pasadena. I've been going to Pure Nails for over a year. I go exclusively to this salon because all of the technicians are friendly, perfectionists, and professional. I had a manicure with Joann today. She did a fantastic job. Joann made sure I was pleased with my color choice, the shape of my nail, and she ensured I was comfortable. The receptionists keep everything organized, are efficient, and lovely to talk to. They charged $260 for two pedicures and two acrylic full sets. The full sets didn't cover our nails entirely and some of the nails were done so it looks like the nail is lifting up. The employees were very sweet, the nail job wasn't. Before the business responds with their hot take on how this all happened, I'll say this: * Their employees did not disclose how much all of this was going to cost. Had that happened, I would've chosen to patronize another nail salon. They asked me what I wanted, I told them, and then they got to work. * No, their prices are not online anywhere, not even their website. * Instead of arguing with clients about their negative experiences, please do better. The prices were reasonable and even though I was working on my laptop at the time the technicians were very understanding and accommodating which I appreciated. I am a HUGE fan of this spa and now wish I lived closer to go regularly. I made an appointment and came on a whim before I went back home to Vegas, and I'm truly glad I found this place through Yelp. I immediately made an appointment through Yelp and the owner got back to me within 3 minutes. My manicurist had a keen sense of attention to detail and consistently asked if I was pleased with the work. That is something I truly appreciated because she did what I liked and wanted. Beatriz, we do follow cleaning/sanitizing procedures from Board of Cosmetology. All the tools are cleaned/sanitized and place in sealed bags.

I've been coming here for a minute now, and they never disappoint. All of the nail techs I've had are amazing, for manis & pedis. They respond fast and always accommodate me, no matter how busy they are. They are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I don't see myself going elsewhere any time soon. I'm very happy with Pure Nails Spa... They're pretty good at designs, too! The ONLY thing I don't really like is being charged for "cuticle care," which should ALWAYS be a part of the nail services like (mani, fill, new set, etc); but that's minor, so I just eat the cost. Love Pure Nails! I've been to many nail salons, and this one is by far the best I've ever visited. I usually get a gel manicure with French tips, and they offer a beautiful selection of colors to choose from. From the moment you walk in, everything is clean and well maintained, including their tools. It's a relaxing experience while they do your nails. I also love how patient and precise they are! They never rush and always do a wonderful job. All the nail techs who have done my nails here are great, but my personal favorites are Tera, Nancy, Susan. It's crazy you say that because I asked the manager to check the cameras and she refused to do so. Which leads me to believe that your employees stole my headphones. Now you're telling me you checked the cameras? Then why didn't I receive a call? Or why didn't the manager ask for my number to call me back. Instead she hung up on me. So please stop gaslighting me. I was there last week for a manicure/pedicure. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the salon, right when I walked through the door, the receptionist welcomed me warmly. They were offering me drinks and mimosa was an option from their drink list. Yay!!!! That's a plus when you needed to destress while enjoying your mani/pedi. The vibe of the salon was very calm and peaceful. My nails also came out the way I imagined. My technician was really gentle but did a great job at the same time. I accidentally found this nail salon after having lunch at Boiling Point next door. I am amazed at the collections of both regular and gel colors that they carry here. So many options. I'm skeptical at first because they have only a few reviews on Yelp. But I found out later that all their reviews are under hidden section. Maybe because they are new. Found this place by accident as i was walking around Old Town the other day. Even though the shop was quite busy when I came in, they were able to take me in after 10 mins without any problems.
