I was buying delicious water from Pure Valley Water for a while before I had my reverse osmosis water filtration system installed 3 years ago. Holly was patient in answering my questions when I purchased the system. I have their technicians provide regular service to change the relevant filters every six months. I have never had any problems with the system. The staff in the office and those who come to my home are all friendly, knowledgeable and highly competent. After we opted for a new tankless water heater (no dice finding repair parts for the over-10-year-old installed one) PVW was able to be back the day after we gave the go ahead. London and his colleague were in and out in a couple of hours, removing th- old unit, altering the in - out water and propane connections for the new one, and giving it a thorough check out. Thoroughly cleaned up afterwards including all the water in the drip basin. Professional and cordial, and for all of my questions about the new unit either answered them or said that they'd look into it. We've only just scheduled our installation for our new ozone system for our well water tank but so far I've had an amazing experience with this company. They were the first place I called and I assumed I would have to go down a long line of numbers before I found what I was looking for (it's just what I had experienced in the past). But to my surprise, I spoke with Holly and all my questions were answered immediately and I knew I came to the right place. Within less then 5 minutes I was booked for service the following week and sent my invoice and numerous other packets of information that I really appreciated. I had to call back to check with Holly on something again and she was incredibly understanding and accommodating. We've been filling up our bottles here since 2015. We're renters, but if we were to own a home we'd likely get one of their house systems installed. Various other water places we've been to in the area and while traveling seem like out-of-the-way hole-in-the-wall joints you don't want to linger around. Not the case here. Pure Valley Water is inviting, sparkling clean, decorated with plants, and hosting a variety of colorful products, from water crocks, to personal and large jugs, and choice health products. We appreciate their water bottle sanitation booth, options for regular or alkaline water, and plentiful heavy duty carts to help get large jugs to and from the car. Parking is almost always available out front and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. Best of all, the water tastes like water - not bitter, metallic, salty, soft, or overly crisp, just clean water at an affordable price, especially when taking advantage of one of their bulk deals. Our place was affected by the CZU fire in 2020 and as a result we found out recently that the well on the property is dealing with residues of benzene, toluene, etc. as well as higher levels of various metals and unknown dissolved solids. Though the chemicals are currently at low levels, these are known carcinogenic toxins. We are grateful we weren't drinking or cooking with the well water during this time and have trusted in the extensive purification process used at Pure Valley instead. As they say, the body is over 70% water. When we're already exposed to countless unavoidable chemicals and toxins daily, why take a chance with the water we choose to drink? read more

I recently moved to Scotts Valley into a new Town home, and I started noticing calcium build up around my facets on my counters and water spots all over my new fixtures. I also notices my skin and hair where much dryer than usual. I ordered an at home water testing kit, and sure enough, I had hard water. Hard water effects every hot water appliance in your home, and since my are all new I wanted to keep them for awhile. I quoted a few places, but I knew right away that I wanted to work with Wendy and her team. She took the time to explain the system: how it worked and how to maintain it. Pure Valley is comparatively priced. The guys that put in the system where polite, professional and did a quality job. Our water system was failing after 30 years of service and our storage tank had rusted through. Mark and Wendi, owners of Pure Valley Water were very responsive to us, even though they were extremely busy with other customers after the CZU fires. Though our well water was safe, we never drank it or cooked with it, lots of iron and the water was cloudy. We had been buying water at Pure Valley Water for years. Mark came out, asked what we wanted, made some suggestions and gave us an estimate for a completely new water system (New storage tank on a new concrete pad, ozone treatement system, variable-speed pump, iron filter, water softener and reverse osmosis drinking water system). Wendi was easy to communicate with; the Pure Valley Water team worked quickly, efficiently and built a system that will last us for many years. We finally can have multiple faucets open at the same time without losing pressure. The water is crystal clear, tastes great and there isn't any iron buildup in our pipes and fixtures anymore! We just had a Pure Valley water softener system installed in our new home in Marina, CA prior to moving in and, based on our experience, regret that we can only give them 5 stars. From our first conversation to the end of the installation, Wendy and the rest of the staff provided service that was absolutely top notch. Usually they have a property walk-through to give an estimate. Since our house was newly-built, Wendy CALLED THE BUILDER HERSELF (!) and got the layout details so she was able to give us an estimate without the walkthrough. This saved us a ton of time, and was greatly appreciated. Our new house has a tankless water heating system that is efficient but complicated. Even though Pure Valley did not install it, they were kind enough to show us how to operate it. We had considered buying a water softener from Costco, but are glad we went with Pure Valley because the cost was equivalent, Puronics equipment is top quality, they provide on-going service (as opposed to just installation), and the customer service they do provide is exemplary. If you're moving into a new development in Marina, a water softening system is a must because the water is so hard. It's not hyperbole to say Pure Valley is a vendor you can rely on to get the job done right and to service you in the future. read more

They charged me $70 (they did discount $10 when I complained) for water samples, with missing and incorrect data. Very poor value. The written analysis (which I had to request) was incorrect. It said the iron was 0, instead of 2.2. And the hardness or Total Dissolved Solids numbers were wrong too. They did call me to discuss, blaming the analysis on a new employee. Ok, I get that. But they didn't address my questions. They still have not provided an accurate written analysis. Bad data + bad service = no sale read more

I normally service my water system myself, but Pure Valley Water has done a little work for me (albeit by accident - long story). Because I hadn't requested the work, they ended up not billing me for the services rendered, which I thought was fair. In exchange I did ask them to replace my ozone bulb, which they did for me smoothly. Overall, I found Pure Valley Water to be very fair in how they treated me. read more

Unfortunately I have had to fire Pure Valley Water. We ran into a situation where they performed service on my system and left it inoperative. They sent me a bill for more than $600 in repairs without checking with me first. They charged me for a part that didn't need to be replaced, and were about to charge me to replace my tank when all I really needed was a single O ring replaced. For whatever reason, we started to run into issues over the last year and a half. I don't know the reason. I do know the company really tried to do a good job and they eventually got my system working perfectly. For me, it boiled down to feeling like my business was being taken for granted. I don't think they want to operate their business like that. I did give them lots of opportunities to correct, and in the end they did come through. But I don't have the trust I once did. that's the most important thing for me read more

Love the wonderful service at Pure Valley Water! I'm in there almost weekly to fill up six 5 gallon bottles. Our water at the top of Whispering Pines isn't fit to drink. Using Pure Valley water, our coffee makers don't calcify and the small appliances don't gum up. Everyone is always so helpful. Pure Valley Water of SV is wonderful! I had been concerned about the water at our new house, especially since my 2 year old was drinking it. It went through our refrigerator filter system but still had a funny taste and some occasional sidemen...gross. Not too mention the hardeness of it was ruining my fixtures and my clothes felt starchy after washing them. Anyways, they came out and installed a full softener system and also a reverse osmosis drinking system, and it made an absolute night and day difference! I think this place is a really good business. Water is friggen AMAZING. Seriously incredibly refreshing and the best ever, and I buy so much bottled water. The owner is really cool. It is so clean tasting, yet not soft or flat. It seriously is like a fine wine to me. The facility is beautiful. The staff is always beyond kind, as is the owner. She treats you with a good deal of energy and enthusiasm. That said, I would never cross her. There was a competitor who moved in across the street into her old location. I think that was rude of them. She used some serious gorilla business tactics to shut it down quick. Boarder line slit the new company's throat then took pictures smiling over its dead corpse. I give her props for that. She's a cut throat biz lady who did what she had to do, and I applaud it! Best water ever! TIP: Buy water in advance and save $. Our water system developed a leak on a Thursday afternoon and we were concerned it might fail over the week end. Wendy rescheduled her service appointments for Friday and the technicians arrived by noon Friday. Rick quickly determined the source of the problem and had the correct parts and equipment on the truck to correct the problem. The leak was fixed quickly and then they discovered an electrical component that was about to fail and would have caused our system to fail completely. Again they had the correct parts on the truck and were able to bring our entire system up to full operating condition. We have used Pure Valley for 10 years and they are always wonderful to work with, I strongly recommend them. read more

I especially like the owner, Wendi, and have come to see her more as a friend in the neighborhood. I recently purchased a home which came equipped with a water softener system as well as a reverse osmosis drinking water filtration system. I received a service noticed that my systems were due for cleaning and Service. I had David come out yesterday and I was thoroughly impressed not just with his knowledge but overall friendliness and attention to detail. David and his coworker (satchel?) did a phenomenal job at my house. They educated me on the difference between using salt versus potassium and I learned that I was wasting my money going with the expensive potassium. There is a real need to use that however my need did not fall in that category. I would highly recommend Wendi and her team to service or install any system into your house. One day my daughter was interested in going to a movie that was no longer playing in SV and June helped call SC and figure out when it was playing. She then gave my 9 yo a complimentary water bottle. We walked away feeling like we had just experienced the best customer service ever in our lives. Have connected with her again and she offers to test our water for chlorine which will be great. Pure Valley Water is much more than water filtration systems! We've been customers of PV for over 13 years and have a soft water system and a reverse osmosis system. They have always been responsive and all of their service technicians are punctual and professional. Pre-Pure Valley, we ruined a lot of sink fixtures and grouting due to the hard water delivered to us by the city. Not only did it take a toll on our housing investment, but drinking SV is nasty and anything that tastes and smells so bad, can't be good for your health. I also really notice a difference in using the filtered water in my cooking....steaming vegetables, poaching or just adding water to a recipe. Everything tastes fresher and better. Last Sunday, we awoke to a broken water heater. These things always happen on holidays and weekends at my house. I knew PV did tankless heaters and thought to give Wendy a call to investigate replacing my regular tank with a tankless. I also called a large plumbing company for another bid as I needed to get this done ASAP. Wendy called me promptly back on Monday morning and she informed me that they installed both kinds of water heaters, tank and tankless. The large plumbing came out in the AM and gave me a bid that I thought was quite substantial, especially when I could look online and see the retail cost of the tank heater. I went in to visit Wendy and she looked at the bid and within a few calculations could have the job done for almost $700 less, exact same water heater, apples to apples. She really honored our loyalty to them over the years and juggled the schedule around to get our replacement in on Tuesday morning. Her plumbers are awesome, got the job done in 1/2 the time quoted by the other company and even hosed my patio off afterwards. I have endless hot water now and couldn't be happier with yet another great job by Pure Valley. Thank you Wendy and thank you for being a really great local company that puts out a better product at less cost than the "big guy."
