Truly like walking into an authentic Chicago pizzeria and Italian restaurant. If you want a real Italian beef sandwich this is definitely your place. First off, I have to say I've been a loyal patron of another pizza place, not that far away from this one, for over 20 years. Those from Stuart will probably know where I mean. BUT in the past year...I have been cheating on them with Pusateri's. The crust is awesome. The cheese is amazing. The sauce is a little on the sweet side, but that's all a matter of taste I suppose. The service is always very friendly. Seating inside is a little tight but they have outdoor seating that is more spaced out. I have tried the Italian Beef sandwich as well and though they aren't as good as my favourite joint in Chicago, they are as good as it gets south of the Mason-Dixon line. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to true pizza connoisseurs. read more

ive been coming to pusateri's since john pusateri opened it in the mid 2000s. their pizza has always been mouth wateringly yummy and the service excellent. today i stopped in with a friend for lunch. we ordered a medium signature sausage pizza. i asked for parmesan cheese. the waitress brought about 1 tbsp in a tiny covered plastic container. after using it up, i asked for more. the waitress replied "it costs a lot of money. if you dont use it, we have to throw it away. do you still want me to bring it?" i was very offended by her extremely inappropriate response. one expects to hear sermons in church, not at a restaurant. even if i was asking for my 10th cheese, she had no business saying that. a chicago maxim is "the customer is always right" (marshall field). on top of this, the pizza was mediocre. so.....this is strike one. read more

Do NOT call ahead for pizza. RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL Called and was gruffly asked to hold. Then told it would be a 5 to 10 minute hold or I could call back. Obviously I chose to call back in 15. Called back to be rudely asked to hold and again told it would be a 5 to 10 minute hold. I explained that it was already 15 minutes. She so rudely says what do you want? what do you want? What do you want? Just a medium pizza, I replied. 50 minutes for pick up. I would wait an eternity for pizza because I love it. Best Italian beef south of the Mason/Dixon line.

There is a severe shortage in the greater Palm Beach area of Chicago-style food. That explains like foodies like yours truly are willing to drive half an hour or more in search of the right taste. Chicago hot dogs are unique - they have a taste all their own, and its worth a trip if you've never experienced them. Ditto the Italian beef - this place even understands that the correct bread must be shipped from Chicago in order to be stuffed with a pound of juicy beef and hot giardiniera. The closest they come to Chicago thin crust is with the sausage pie - the sausage is authentic enough to give the uninitiated a reasonable idea of this (also) unique taste. The crust is not as good as most Chicago spots, since it resembles a matzoh more than pizza...great crusts have more than that. A real teaser are the Old Style signs...none of that great Chi-town swill served here - they said its 'illegal' - but don't they brew Coors in Colorado and Miller Lite in Milwaukee, and...well you get the point. If you need the taste of a real Vienna beef hot dog on a poppy seed bun, or an Italian beef on the best best bread onthe planet for this purpose...its worth a trip. read more

I grew up in NW Indiana, about 50 miles (give or take) from Chicago. My mother's side of the family was all Chicago; I grew up loving the Cubs (but not Sox), Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls. I was weaned on Chicago TV and radio (WGN, WLS when it was an AM rock station, WLUP, etc.); and I grew up eating Chicago food...lots of it. Especially pizza. Thin crust, thank you. Loaded with sausage. When I was in high school, my friends and I discovered a little pizza joint in our hometown called Pinocchio's. We hit that place so often, they would start our pizza when they saw my white 1964 Impala pull in their lot. Being that close to Chicago, I knew they got their sausage from the City. Sadly, Pinocchio's is long gone, and I rarely make it back to my hometown, anyway, so even if it was still around... For years I have wondered if I would ever taste pizza like that again. When we moved to Stuart a month ago, the first thing we did was try to learn some of the local restaurants. My wife and I had ridden our bikes past Pusateri's several times and went in once, but it was too crowded to get a table (it is a very small place), so we made a mental note to come back. Tonight, we did, and were we ever glad. First of all, the decor is all Chicago, which is great (I can do without the reminders of the Sox winning the Series in '05, thank you). We ordered the thin crust sausage pizza, and after the first bite I was transported back 32 years in time and about 1,000 miles in place. The crust is crispy without any burning (a rarity among thin-crust places); the sauce is sweet without being sickeningly so; and the meat tastes like it just came from a south side butcher shop. The 14-inch medium was enough to fill both of us up, with a couple pieces for my wife to have for lunch tomorrow. They offer several specialty pizzas,plus hot dogs and sandwiches, but you owe it to yourself to get the sausage--and keep it out of the garden. Note that Pusateri's is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Stopped in for the first time today! Born and raised in Chicago. Let me first settle something for those people reviewing the pizza. Chicago is not known for deep dish. They are known for their thin crust pizza! I can tell you firsthand, this is authentic. Crispy thin crust loaded with toppings. The sauce was spot on and the sausage was excellent! The service was excellent. I'm forgetting the servers name, young girl with blonde hair, was very accessible and helpful! She checked on us several times. We sat on the patio which was nice! Next time we visit it'll be for a Gene and Judes hotdog! We haven't had a decent hotdog, beef or pizza since we've been here. So glad we came! Luke spent a few minutes with us, and we ended up taking home a pound of Italian Beef with all the fixins including the bread! And..... a couple of tee-shirts! If I could give them 10 stars I would.
