This is going to be one of those "if I could give them negative stars, I would," or I wish places like this were not in business, since they give good companies a bad name. Absolutely terrible service, and just plain old bad people. Dishonest, and impossible to get an simple answer. I went there today to look for a vehicle. At first, the salesman was very nice, professional, and had a good understanding of the vehicle that I was looking for. Then comes the games. Either he did not know the answers to the questions, or this was a sales tactic that they use. Either way, it was terrible. We walked out out, and will never associate with them again. Maybe not even consider a GMC again. I asked simple questions: "Does this car come with Nav?" "No" "Is it available" "Maybe, I am not sure "Can I get it?" "I think so, let me check with my manager..." He comes back, saying, yes, we can get Nav. I ask how much, he says, I don't know, I have to ask my manager. I ask if the vehicle comes in all wheel drive, as this is what we are looking for: "This does not come in AWD" "Are you sure, I built the car online last night, and it gave me the option for AWD" "Nope, but let me check with my manager...." 15 minutes later, nope we don't have any within 100 miles. After much discussion, he checks with his manager again, and finds 2 cars with AWD, as I was asking for. They have a special running, $199/month for a lease, with 12000/year on miles. I ask if we can work out a deal to increase the miles per year. He checks with his manager, of course. Returns with an answer of yes, but will have to increase the price. I ask, how much, he says, I don't know, I have to check with my manager. This is basically how the entire event played out. I asked for simple questions, and got no real answers back. Obviously I was extremely frustrated after an hour of playing this game. I asked if this hidden man behind the curtain could come out and answer these questions, as it did not seem like he had any information that would help. The manager comes out, after hearing this, and attempts to rudely answer my questions. Customer service at this point was absolutely abysmal. He is basically yelling at me as to why I am asking these types of questions, like it was my fault I wanted Navigation on the car, and his salesman had no answers. I don't understand how simple questions are so difficult. If I ask if there is Nav available, don't you think the next question would be how much? Bottom line - either they are playing games and messing around with their customers, or they are very inept in the business that they run. I would highly recommend that you do not visit this dealership. I didn't even mention the shady transactions, asking, how much are you looking to pay for this car..... As we are walking out, I mention the horrible reviews, and how I would be posting another one. The manager turns his back on me, and yells, "Another bad review, go ahead.." read more

Check your service. I feel compelled to give a terrible review due to the utter lack of service and expectations not being met. 1. I arrived with my vehicle to get an inspection to determine why the engine light had come on. I also asked to take a look at why the door locks stopped working. Two hours of labor, $153/hour, so $306 for diagnostics. I am fine with that. 2. I am told to expect it ready by 6pm. I have to call them about 4:30PM to find out it won't be ready to pick up because the door panels are off. Ok, the fact I had to call to get status, bad. The fact that it won't be ready to pick up by 6pm, ok, but anothert bad. 3. On the second day of this I arrange to get there by 6pm to pick up the van. However, upon inspection of the door panels, knowing they had removed them, there are gaps between the panels and the metal of the door where there were no gaps before. Plus, the bottom part of the panel feels like it is hanging loose. I point this out to Jacob, my service representative, and he says they will fix it, but I will have to leave it. BAD. Poor inspection on their part. 4. On the third day of this, I call them at 2pm to get a status. It is ready, has been ready, and he mentions there are still gaps. ??? Where there was none before entering their service department, now there is plenty. I had looked at my door panels before dropping it off to get an idea of their current status. No gaps. I also noted a clear line of dust on the metal part of the door where the panel had originally been flush. Now there was a significant gap. A clear delineator that the panel no longer fits as it did when I arrived. 5. Plus, when I paid my bill on the first day, I paid for an estimate to repair all that was needed. What I got was a receipt of my payment, listing things, but no itemized estimate, and no written estimate total. I asked Jacob to give me an itemized list, and he bedgrudgingly gave me a hand written estimate that did NOT clearly outline the number he gave me over the phone. $306 for poor service. Ridiculous. I see some reviews for people buying cars. Sure, they carry cars. That is not a reflection of the quality of their service. My experience was poor from the beginning, and continued to get worse. I don't recommend them at all. I would rather pull out my own kidney than go through this three day extravaganza that only needed to be one day. I would have gone back to get the work done when ready, but not now. Not ever. Know the truth about th FRUD DEALERSHIP. Looks like the conman manager JORGE RODRIGUEZ wasn't happy about my review. I came in for a routine maintenance. I waited in the waiting room. For 6 hours! I finally was fed up and checked on where my truck was. LEO LY said there was a problem and I have to buy a new seat switch because my seat was broken. My seat worked perfectly prior to bring it to this JOKE OF A DEALERSHIP. The mechanic broke it while doing a recall. They said they have to order the part and it's a week away. After arguing to prove they broke the seat I drove off and was going to have to come back in a week to get it fixed. But wait it gets better. While driving away my brakes didn't work I pulled over to the side of the road and brake fluid is pouring out of my bleeder nut. The mechanic stripped it while he was putting it back it. I had to take my truck back and at his time it was 5 and they couldn't fix it. I had to get a rent a car and they took 2 weeks to fix my truck. When I got my truck back the chrome wheel was corroded from the brake fluid they left sitting on my rim for 2 weeks. The costumer service was horrible and the work they did was even WORSE. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere else. P.S. I have talked to many people after my experience here and many people have had similar experiences.r read more

I've never written a review on anything before. I never felt anything was worthy of praise, but something finally is. Last week my husband and I bought a car from Putnam Cadillac and was very impressed with the dealership. But, what really made our experience worthy of this praise was our salesman, NOE SANCHEZ. I was looking for a certain car and NOE searched every day to find me just what I wanted and kept me informed every step of the way, always friendly and promising he'd get me just what I wanted, and he did. When he called to tell us he had the vehicle, he already had it in being detailed for us. When we went to the dealership the next day he saw to it that everything went smooth. Everyone we dealt with was knowledgeable and friendly. Paperwork was explained clearly to us and done quickly. We drove off in our new car within a couple hours. We have since returned to the dealership to set up an appointment for some servicing, and as we drove into the parking lot, NOE came out right away to greet us. True to his word, he set everything up for us. Not only do we have a new car, we now have a wonderful new friend. For those of you reading this, please don't waste your time going anywhere but to Putnam, and by all means, ask for NOE SANCHEZ. I guarantee you'll be glad you did. read more

A couple of years ago I purchased a used Cadillac CTS from a luxury used car dealer. It was the car I had always wanted. A few months went by and my check engine light went on so I rolled to PepBoys only to find out Cadillac was the only place that could fix the problem so I went to Putnam Service where my folks had gone for years. A gentleman by the name of Chris Pitambar helped me out and was very patient when he saw I wasn't leaving without my CTS. After a few hours they pinpointed the problem and that's when I became nervous about the price. Apparently there was still warranty left on the vehicle which they transferred to my name and a $900 repair ended up only costing me $150. I had a few more problems over the next year and a half because of the overzealous nature of the way I drove. Chris helped me get an extended warranty which saved me thousands of dollars over time and because of my frequent visits there we have become good friends. One thing I do have to say is that I received the same friendly welcome and help from everyone there no matter who I dealt with. I brought my GMC Acadia for a check up as I noticed a grinding sound on the rear suspension, Service adviser Charlie Szetu came with me for a test drive and simply by driving just around the block Charlie had a very clear idea of what was going on. Due to the fact that we had to wait for the repair authorization from the manufacturers warranty, Charlie was supposed to set me up with a rental car while my truck was being repaired but instead Charlie showed what top of the line customer service is about and told me that he did not want me to wait for the rental car and instructed staff from the repair shop to set me up with a car loaner and within minutes I was out. Once I picked up my truck, Charlie took his time to explain what repairs were performed with a detailed explanation. On Sunday 6/30/19 my husband and I (both seniors) went to Putnam Buick/GMC in Burlingame hoping to find a slightly newer, affordable used vehicle (ours was 20 yrs old with 175m on the odometer) but thanks to our Salesman, Charles Vella, we left 2 hrs later with a 2016 20m, Buick Encore with affordable financing. There was no high-pressure used and Charlie invited us back the next day for a 1 hr review of all the programs the Encore offers, service we never experienced at any other dealership. Charlie also arranged for the windshield (which had damage from previous owner) to be replaced, including the use of a loaner as my husband had movement limitations. Today (10/11/19) we returned for a minor repair and again were treated with Charlie's gracious service.
