This particular place used to be pretty decent just a few years ago even before COVID-19 for the last year even with the same employees this place has gone to shit. Six times in the last month I have come to this particular location and their food is nowhere near hot, it is barely warm and even when you ask them to warm it up some the gentleman with glasses, the skinny one gets upset. Today I came and I asked him if he had any fresher impossible meat and he said there was no more. Not even 10 seconds after he scraped the bottom of the container someone from the back came and refilled it with fresher meat after I had already paid for mine. I didn't wanna argue with him because he probably didn't understand my initial question but you don't get this place together soon I'm afraid they're going to be closed. And even if you tell them that you are a vegetarian and you would like some extra vegetables even if you have to pay for them they get upset. They want to charge you extra for queso when even the vegetarian bowl should come with it as their menu says. It's a palling even the taste of the impossible meat just an hour after they opened and it taste super dry and blend. None of their toppings were covered that usually would be covered to avoid anything else getting into them. Sometimes I say not to replace the people but in this case they have been here way too long and don't seem to give a crap anymore about their job nor about the customers. If I could talk to the owner of this place I would definitely suggest him or her to take a look at the overall picture of this place. read more

I usually love Qdoba, but this location isn't the best. My mom and I were leaving the house at 8:30 pm to go get dinner here but something told us to call and make sure they were open. We called on our way there and spoke to Briana who informed us that they were closed. I asked why they are closed if their hours say they're open until 10. She tells me that she has no staff and tries to hurry me off the phone with a "have a good one". I asked her if I could speak to the manager and she informed me that she was the manager (not sure if she is or not) and when I asked how does she not have a staff, she very rudely tells me that someone walked out so they're closed now....as someone who has worked in customer service, one monkey doesn't stop a show. Her attitude was horrendous and I'm still trying to figure out how and why she's closing down saying there's no staff when I clearly heard multiple voices in the background. read more

Either the brown rice was a little under cooked or the ground beef was too fine, becuase the texture was more like sand. The flavor was great. Usually I love going here and I don't know what they've done to the old management or employees but the new employees have actually made me lose faith in this place. The last two times I went to QDOBA the burritos they gave me fit in the palm of my hand (picture attached) and the main bulk of the burrito is the tortilla wrapped over itself, there's hardly anything in it. This was my first time trying this restaurant. I've been searching for a new place to get my "bowl" fix. The place I used to go to (starts with a "C"), has lost my business with how bad the quality has gotten. My meal today at Qdoba was fresh, and my veggies still had just the right amount of crunch. Every time I go the food is great but I ordered through Uber tonight and whoever made the tacos at 6 ish tonight did a horrible job. They forgot multiple of my ingredients, didn't put any meat in them forgot 3 of my ingredients and they are all ripped apart and look gross. Qdoba is better than chipotle and I have been saying this for years. I wish there were more Qdoba locations in Plano. The pulled pork here is really good. I usually don't like pork because it can be fatty, but it's lean and full of flavor. Everything is fresh tasting and I love that they don't overcharge you for every little thing. Walked into Qdoba today with my ESA and was harassed by the lady. There was one person in the establishment and nobody in line. All I was trying to do was to get a bowl to go with my Emotional Support Animal. She asked if he was a Service animal (which is illegal) and if he had his ID card (which is illegal and there is no requirement to have on you). Well, as you just heard, Jenn and I went to Qdoba for dinner last night. I wasn't sure what I wanted so I waited for her to order and then got the exact same thing. Three soft tacos, one each of shredded beef, pork and chicken. I had shredded cheese and guacamole added to my tacos. As Jenn said, the pork was quite a bit spicier than the other two options, but I think that's why I liked it the best. The chicken was a lot better than expected, because it's, um, chicken.. and I never expect it to be good. I think my next visit I will try the fajita beef instead of chicken. I registered my Qdoba card this morning online and I have a free order of chips and salsa waiting for me. I will admit I have an entire wallet of those "frequent visitor" cards from all different establishments. Those buy 9 get the 10th meal free things that most places really don't expect you to keep up with. Those 10th meal free things can come in very handy the day or two before payday when I've gone overboard on my quest for new places to Yelp during that pay period. Aimee and I checked out Qdoba last night after my whirlwind "omg my husbands bday is tomorrow" shopping had commenced. I decided to try the taco plate and was happy they let me get 3 different meats (I like variety!). I got shredded pork, shredded beef, and chicken on my tacos and they were all pretty good. The pork was a lot spicier than I expected, the beef was messy but delicious and the chicken was better than I thought it would be. I also got an order of chips and queso and it was pretty good - I think freebirds has better queso, but this was closer :) I picked up a qdoba card so I guess I'll be going back :) It's the closest chipotle/freebirds kind of place to my house anyway. read more

Most people I know will shoot me for saying this, but I prefer Qdoba over Chipotle. Reasons? 1) Variety - ALWAYS a plus to have more options. They have quesadillas, tacos, nachos, salads, and even soup! Plus, they have also more options in their fillings and toppings for your burrito or naked burrito. 2) QUESO!! - I hate cheese unless it's in queso form. Seriously, it's the best. 3) I like the fact that I can get my burrito naked. And say naked. 4) Bowls - The last dozen times I've gotten Chipotle, my bowl somehow gets completely soaked through. I end up with a wet bowl and paper bag, and it drives me nuts. Here, I get a solid, leak-proof bowl! 5) DISCOUNT - I came here on a Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised that with a student ID, your whole order is half! I paid for me and my friend, and our bill came out to 8 dollars with tax. I think it varies with location though. So when it comes to the debate, Qdoba wins. I have come to personally prefer Qdoba over other similar establishments. You go right up to the counter and order your burrito, bowl, or tacos just like you would at Chipotle or Freebirds.  There are two types of rice to pick from and I believe two or three types of beans. I always order the spanish rice and pinto beans in my bowls.  Both the chicken and beef are flavorful and well seasoned so you can't go wrong there. For cheese there is a shredded option or queso. I've noticed that most people get the queso, but I think the shredded is just fine.  There are a variety of salsas and other vegetable options to add. I like putting the lettuce, red salsa, and tortilla strips in my bowls. For what you get and the options available, I find Qdoba especially delicious, quick, and reasonably priced. read more

The last time I went to Qdoba was more than 5 years ago while in Colorado - I always forget that there's a one on Park but while in the area recently I finally had the opportunity to grab a quick bite for lunch! This is much like Chipotle/Freebirds, but with more options and more calories. Had a salad/naked burrito sort of bowl, and it was good. I liked that the chicken was a lot less spicy than Chipoltle's. Another bonus? Queso. YES, PLEASE. LOAD ME UP! Yummy fast not-so-healthy food..but tasty nonetheless and I would totally go here again if in the area. read more

This was my first visit to any Qdoba and I am looking forward to a chance to go back. I am a huge fan of Chipotle, and I don't like Freebird's at all, so I was glad to see when I walked in that this was a Chipotle clone. The menu was a bit hard to follow, and the way the line formed didn't make sense. They could use better organization. The cooks offered us tastes and my friend and I both tried the shredded beef and I tried the hot salsa. I decided to go with a burrito. The rice and beans were exactly like Chipotle, which is good, I love that style of rice. The shredded beef was good, but a notch below Chipotle, as it did not have the spicy kick. I got the queso, which was a great addition to a burrito. I was disappointed in the salsa choices, the only medium choice was a salsa verde. I wanted a tomato based medium. The hot salsa was a little too spicy for me, but I tried just a half scoop on my burrito and that worked out okay. Guacamole and cheese topped off quite a tasty burrito. My friend got a bowl and she also got the grilled veggies and corn salsa. I commented that the veggies looked very fresh and I think that is true of all the ingredients - everything looked and tasted fresh. The restaurant was small but clean. I didn't notice any music. We arrived at the same time as a local school's lunch, so we ended up with a lot of teenagers around, but they were well behaved. Very similar to Chipotle, but I like the beef and salsa better at Chipotle. I'm looking forward to returning to Qdoba though and definitely recommend the burritos. read more

I know Glenn is elite and all, but I thought Qdoba was a pretty nice change from Chipotle. Even though I love the McDonald's chain and all except for certain locations with crappy service, the rice there is much better. But, I thought that the Qdoba bowl was pretty good. It's a large portion, and I am happy that I can make a satisfying one and a half meals out of it. The other plus is that one of the waiters had such flair when putting on queso on the Qdoba bowl. Oh yes, that is another thing. Queso in the bowl? Genius. I still got regular cheese, don't get me wrong, but the queso was a very nice touch. My friend and I went there on a whim, and now we go there as one of our spots to just grab a meal together. Plus, it's right next to Fat Straws, which is another guilty pleasure. read more

My second time here and the food is good. I could give the food 5 stars. But the smart a** cashier/ Lead Guy working was rude as hell!! I ordered a mini burrito bowl and when I got to the end of my order the smart ass cashier/ head person gonna say to me after I question the total "Do you think this bowl is mini"? I use to frequent the Qdoba on Coit & Campbell long before the proliferation of the Chipotle, Freebirds, and Planet Burrito style burrito joints throughout the Metroplex. It used to be nice to have a burrito fashioned specifically for me with fresh, quality ingredients. Over time, this experience became more commonplace as the competitors grew and I was reluctant to trek all the way to Richardson to get a burrito. Qdoba had one thing that still elevated itself above the pack, however. The Chicken Mole version was awesome. I absolutely love mole sauce, which can generally only be found at nicer Mexican restaurants on expensive dinners. Qdoba had it tucked away in a $5 burrito. When I found that there was a location 10 minutes from my job , I was ecstatic and Qdoba was a regular on lunch rotation. Well, I'm sad to report that mole is no more-ay at Qdoba. When I showed up with cash in hand in hopes of tantalizing my taste buds, I was summarily dismissed by the tortilla filler. No apology. No remorse. No mole. No more business from me. Maybe that is a harsh reaction but honestly, without the mole, Qdoba is little more than average. With 2 Chipotles only half the distance away and gas at a premium, I am officially breaking up with Qdoba. I'll leave 3 stars as my farewell but 2 1/2 would be more accurate because that stands right in the middle of the Yelp grading scale, average as can be. read more

Qdoba is a good burrito place similar to Chipotle but not as spicy. They primarily offer burritos in chicken or beef varieties. It starts with lime rice and your choice of black or pinto beans, the meat of your choice, then your choice of salsas... pico (mild), corn (medium), green chili, and some other spicy options I'm not familiar with. They have shredded cheese and sour cream as well as shredded lettuce as options. Other options include a quesadilla or nachos. The 3-cheese nachos are really good. They start with chips drizzled with their nacho sauce, then skipping the rice your options are basically the same as for burritos. You can get just chips and salsa or queso. For dessert they have store baked chocolate chip cookies which are soft and gooey as well as brownies which are pretty good too. They have a frequent visitor rewards card that earns you a free meal. They have standard soft drink options, but my pet peeve is that they don't brew their own iced tea, offering instead tea from concentrate which just doesn't taste right. It's kind of bitter and "off" tasting. This location is near where I work and I like bringing a big cup of iced tea back to the office with me, so I don't go here anymore because of the bad tea. This location is also near several schools and gets overrun by kids around lunch which can make it rather crowded and noisy. read more

Speedy service so you better know what you want! I am not a regular, so I actually felt rather rushed by the abrasive service. I hardly had time to look at the options before I was to the end of the assembly line and paying! I went because I wanted to try their new queso flavors. I felt like the sampler was just 3 regular sides of queso with lots and lots of chips. I didn't care for the new flavors but their original is decent (although not the best in town). I won't be rushing back for the food. It was good that they were able to move the lunch crowd quickly, however when I went it was not busy and nobody was in line behind me, so I guess that's why I felt overwhelmed. I have been a fan of Qdoba for years. This location is currently the one I go to the most because of where we live now. While I do like Chipotle, Qdoba is still my favorite- mostly for variety. While Chipotle has 'quesadillas' on the kids menu, they're steamed in their burrito-steamers. Qdoba actually has presses they use for their `dillas.. so they're nice and hot and slightly crispy the way they SHOULD be. They have your standard offerings, including a queso that they can put ON your burrito (for an extra charge). They also have Tortilla Soup year-round. It's actually quite good, too! My favorite for the past couple of years is a pretty new dish to the menu: The Mexican Gumbo. It's basically like a really really hearty soup... Rice, your choice of black/pinto beans, your choice of meat (chicken, beef, pork), veggies if you want them, tortilla soup, crispy tortilla strips, then your choice of toppings (regular-style salsas, corn salsa, pico; cheese, guac, sour cream) all served in a big bowl. It's seriously awesome. My boyfriend gets his with TONS of Habenero sauce (because there is something wrong with him), and I get corn salsa and tons of cheese (because I don't like TOO much spice). This way, we're both happy. Highly recommend. I have NOT tried their breakfast yet (this is a new-ish thing), and I want to do so, I just am either LONG at work by the time they open or I'm off work that day and sleeping in, damnit! Also, I've had a Q-Card for YEARS now. Originally, they were just paper punch cards.. after 5 burritos, you got chips and salsa, and after 10 you got a free burrito. Now it's all electronic and you accrue "points" rather than 1 for 1. Certain items have higher point values than other and can get you to your free burrito/bowl/gumbo/quesadilla faster than others. I also get a free burrito on my birthday (well, it USED to be free, but now it's buy one, get one free. So not too bad, but still lamer than it used to be). read more

We didn't eat here, but are going to post this review to let upper management know how trashy and awful this store looks. The area by the cash register is cluttered with paper, pens, tape, scissors etc. That's the wrong place for a bunch of office supplies. It looks really trashy and makes me wonder why they can't have a place for store business out of my view. Really unprofessional, and seems to show a lack of caring about appearances. Speaking of not caring about appearances: the first thing you see when you come in is a small catering display meant to attract business, but it's tacky, messy, and gross. The display is an empty oven roasting pan in a stand, with a mess of brochures and cards scattered. It's in a table covered with a black plastic table both that is too long for the display, so it's been knotted up in back. If this is how the Qdoba catering set up will look, I can do better a more attractive myself with Deli trays and utensils from Walmart. read more

This place has all the right components, it's only problem is it's not chipotle. I don't think that can be helped either. I've noticed among my friends at least that you either like chipotle, free birds, or qdoba but you don't like all three. My heart is with chipotle but I still enjoyed the food. I got a big burrito and loaded it with fresh ingredients. I didn't get spiciness or flavor in my steak so I was a bit disappointed after spending almost $10 on lunch. The restaurant is clean, but packed, and not packed with regular people packed with teenagers from the local high school, it's best not to go in during their lunchtime. It's better than Chipotle and anyone who says it isn't is flat out wrong! Every single time I hear someone rave about Chipotle I get mad because Qdoba is so much better. The steak and all the meats are better, the service is wonderful and Qdoba actually has queso... and really good queso!! PLUS Qdoba has lime-salted chips! In closing, Chipotle sucks... She was barley preparing my order so I asked nicely if I could get a little more rice and beans and she told me with an attitude " you didn't put that on the ticket" so rude and I call for . Then when she was done with my complete order gave me the bag and proceed to ask for it back since she made a "mistake" took out the regular cheese dip and gave me a small . Never had someone that gave me a little extra ask for it back when it was their fault . No napkins or forks for my bowl . Went back to ask for some . The food is delicious. I love this place. I have come here for years. My go to is nachos, and I am never disappointed. I've never had any problems here. Also, try the cookies, you will be glad you did. I cannot leave here without buying one. Only reason for not having 5 stars, is cause I normally can't find a clean table. Chipotle or Qdoba?? I still haven't decided. I do have to admit, in comparison to Chipotle, Qdoba does have a more authentic Mexican taste. Chipotle has a bit more of that powerful seasoning which I like but Qdoba definitely has a more traditional flavor. If you haven't been here, it's pretty much just like chipotle where you pick your own ingredients for a burrito the size of your forearm. Hm...ok that's exaggerating a bit but that's what it seems to me atleast when I'm eating it. I liked adding tortilla chips to mine. It gave it that extra crunch with every bite :) The tortilla was noticeably good. Wasn't too overwhelming and dense to make you feel horrible after your meal. Next time I must add guacamole! Would have been a great addition. The one thing they have that chipotle does not add is the queso and how you can request to mix your ingredients before it's wrapped! Maybe they have this at chipotle and I'm just not aware but regardless, that's cool! I'll definitely be back to try the other items on the menu :) happy dance from me! read more

I give more of a 3.5-4 and here is why it's good but not chipotle good. To me, it didn't stand out as much as chipotle did. Chipotle's rice for one is much tastier and I'm almost positive Chipotle has better flavored chicken. Maybe more salt? Dunno. But that's not to say qdoba wasnt good. It was fast, clean, and filling. My friend told me that his friend told him that qdoba came before chipotle and that qdoba made their own tortillas? I'm not positive on that but if qdoba came first how come I am only hearing about it now? I came from San Antonio last January and this is my first time. I ordered a chicken burrito because it looked like it was grilled but was tossed in all sorts of chili powder and spices and shit. I tasted like plain chicken. I loaded it up with everything including that melted cheese goop. Bland and so underwelming! Meh. They gave me about 3 chips so I asked for more but turns out "that will be an extra $2.09." I wouldn't be surprised if they charged for forks and napkins! I would give zero stars if I could....ordered delivery online, 10 minutes AFTER the food was supposed to be here I called.....1st time the guy tried to say it was ready for pickup after I verified my name. When I said I ordered delivery he then stated or it was delivered, when I asked when he hung up. My husband and I just want to make you aware that we are highly disappointed in the Plano location. We drove 25 minutes to get the the Plano location and when we got their, the doors were lockes and the employees were just staring at is. They wouldn't open the door EVEN THOUGH IT WAS 10 MINUTES UNTIL CLOSING TIME! You may not care but you all have lost 2 loyal customers. To not get served just because your employees want to leave earlier than normal or get out on time is no excuse for no service! We are or were paying customers. We just thought you may want to know what type of people you have representing your brand and tour company. It reflects badly on you all for 2 reasons. The first one is no customer service and the other is you have employees that give off the vibe that your company doesn't care about serving customers because they dont want to work up until the actual end of their shift.
