A pretty tasty option for fresh dumplings and tasty dishes! I ordered from Qi Dumpling Lounge on a whim. I was starving and sick at the time, and their food came to my rescue! I ordered on Grub Hub pretty late in the day, less than an hour before this spot closed. Again, on a whim and desperate for comforting food whilst ill. The food was done very fast and the quality was not diminished from delivery or late hours! I ordered their chili pork wontons and a box of scallion pancakes, two of my favorites items. Both were really good! The wontons themselves were super juicy and very filled with meat. And the chili oil sauce that coated them was super flavorful. I loved the inclusion of fresh cut herbs and pickled vegetables in this dish. Really bright and balanced all the flavors. The scallion pancake was perfectly friend and not too oily. Perfectly crispy with that slight chewiness, a pleasant bite. The pancake dipped into the wonton oil, so good! Overall, a super tasty spot! I hope to visit their restaurant in person someday but for now I will bask in the tastiness of their food from home!

I've been getting takeout from this restaurant for over a month now. I visit a family in the Oakland Lake Merritt area, and the elderly Mom said she likes this place. Also, GrubHub gives me a $10 discount on selected pickups, so why not order takeout? So far, the highlights of my orders have been the Mongolian Beef and Garlic Beef Chow Mein. Also, numerous Dumpling orders. Everyone had an opinion on the food, but here's my take: Mongolian Beef, Grade(5/5): This is the best Mongolian Beef ever! And Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite chinese dishes. This dish had a creamy gravy, with thinly sliced beef. It had just the right heat, and went well with rice. Served with onions and red chilis. Garlic Beef Chow Mein, Grade (3/5): It was just OK. Not alot of spicy garlic flavor. Maybe it's like this as to not overpower an entree. Dumplings, Grade(4/5): I ordered the Potstickers, Cilantro Mushroom Chicken Sui Mai, and Dragon Dumplings. I liked heavy potstickers, and tasty Sui Mai. But the Dragon Dumplings, I won't order again. Yes, it's supposed to have a seafood flavor....but a little too fishy. It was least liked dumpling. So, the overall opinion is the food is great here! And I will return!

I wish I had come here before I did. This place is legit. We had the wonton soup which is a large portion with 8 humongous wontons. the broths is light and had chopped napa cabbage and cilantro so the flavor was subtle but good. The wontons were packed with pork. It was sooo good. We also had the rice noodle salad with shrimp. The shrimp were large and very tender. Cooked just right with a very light batter. The dressing was light with a slight vinegary taste and very refreshing. I had to have the twice fried pork belly. The order size is generous and full of sliced pork belly. It was served with sliced carrots, cabbage, water chestnuts, thai peppers and slices of jalapeño peppers with seeds in a hoisin based sauce. It was really good. If you eat the peppers you get lots of heat. We ordered wine. And Issac was nice enough to let us know that the bottle had been opened the night before and gave us a chance to reject the wine and he'd open up a new bottle. We didn't reject the bottle, but the gesture was really classy. We're definitely returning.

Daughter recommended this place and no regrets. We ordered Sizzling rice soup with chicken, Pork belly sliders, Big Boss fried rice, lettuce wrap, salt & pepper fish, Cilantro mushroom chicken siu mai and Eggplant and crispy tofu. Sooo yunmy most specially the Pork belly sliders.

The Roti Dip was OUT OF THIS WORLD (6/5). It exceeded my expectations. The Roti was very soft and crispy and the dip had an amazing coconut/herby taste. The waiter saw how much we loved the dip and brought us another one to use for our rice. Big shout out to her! The chicken wings were okay. Not that spicy for me (I have a high spice tolerance) but I expected them to be more savory. They were cooked very well though. I would give it a 3/5 Unfortunately, I was pretty disappointed with my main which was the crispy whole dried fish. I am a sucker for whole fish dishes so I was pretty excited and expectant for something spectacular. The fish itself was bland. It was very crispy and cooked well but not really seasoned. I had thought the sauce they serve with it was intended to impart flavor on the fish, but the sauce was just very tangy and not flavorful. I did finish the fish though but it's not something I would get again. Overall a 2.5/5. Their coconut rice was good though I was expecting more of a coconut flavor with it. I would rate that a 4/5. It was cooked very well. I think this is a really nice place though, perhaps I just did not order the right or more popular dishes. I'll be coming back for the ROTI WITH DIP (It was that good) and to try the other items in their menu.

I reserved for three to sit in the main dining room. The next day we arrived right on time for our reservation and still had to wait about 10-15 minutes and was asked if we could sit outside and then we were seated upstairs. I was a little bummed we didn't get to sit in the lower dining room like I booked on our reservations. It was still cute upstairs and good company always makes brunch even better. The servers were quick and helpful. I wanted something light so I just ordered the chicken and waffle bites. My husband got French toast and a side of chicken and my friend got a main entrée of a sandwich with some fries and a little soup. All of the food that came out looked amazing even at other people's tables. For brunch, the price is a little pricey, but I would like to come back to try other entrées when I'm more hungry. We asked one of our servers if he had a light as I brought a little candle to celebrate my friend's birthday, and as he lit it, he also decided to join in with us as we sang happy birthday, which I thought was really sweet. He did not have to do. He even got other tables around us to sing happy birthday as well. It felt like a special moment for my friend, which was a nice surprise. I did really appreciate this part and look forward to coming back.

We arrived shortly after 10am and our wait was just under 30 minutes. The restaurant is cozy (on the smaller side) but has an interesting layout. There's seating both indoors, outside, and upstairs. You may have to squeeze by a few tables to make your way to the restroom. Customer service was friendly and attentive. Pricing for food & drinks was a bit high. Our total for 2 entrees and 2 drinks was $60 before tip. We ordered two drinks (orange juice and an iced mocha) which were provided promptly. The orange juice was a little too sour and my mom had to add some sugar to improve the taste. The iced mocha was good, not too sweet. One thing to note the wait for our food took much longer than expected, and it may have been due to how busy it was. My mom opted to order the salmon yuzu benedict and I got an egg plate (scrambled eggs) with a side green salad. My mom mentioned the potatoes lacking salt but she enjoyed the salmon benedict. I thought the scrambled eggs were good, but slightly bland & needed salt and pepper. The side green salad was alright, but the vinaigrette had a bitter aftertaste. Overall, the meal was pretty good and timing wasn't the best. I'd likely return for brunch on a non-peak day. Definitely recommend joining the yelp waitlist prior to arriving if you can!

Upon arrival, they looked full in the indoor area in the front, but they actually had seating in the back, which is where they sat the two of us. This time I got the following: Thai Tea - This tasted as expected, so that means it was good. I told them I didn't want a straw, and they remembered! I usually keep a reusable straw on me for such occasions. Mi Krob (Special) - This dish is more of an appetizer. It was tasty and crunchy; a little sweet and a little spicy. A couple of the pieces were a bit large for small bites. Thai Basil Noodle - This was very good because of how flavorful it was. It was also slightly spicy. Since they brought the dish with chopsticks, I told them I didn't need them, so they took them away. I used reusable chopsticks that I typically keep in my purse. Massaman Curry (with beef) - This was decent, though the other dishes were better. We asked them to make it mild. The curry itself tasted good, but the main issue was that the beef was a little boring and dry. Overall, this place has delicious food (aside from the beef in the curry), so I would come again. Service was a little rough since there was only one person working, so we had to flag them down whenever we needed anything. That said, I completely sympathize with how tough it is to run a restaurant in the current environment, and I appreciated the effort. We started with the kimchi arancini balls, which were excellent. They were fried nicely, the filling was ooey gooey and cheesy, and the kimchi aioli added a great cooling balance to the dish. For my main, I went with the 2 taco platter, which comes with a small salad and chips, and it was more than enough food. I tried one steak, egg, and cheese taco and one surf taco, and both had great flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fried egg added a really nice richness and creaminess, and I loved the fries inside, which reminded me a lot of the Cali style you usually associate with San Diego. The only real miss for me was the panko batter on the fish taco, since I prefer a lighter, more delicate tempura style batter. The flavor was still solid, just not something I'd order again. My bigger hesitation overall is the price, since the tacos are pretty steep at nearly $8 each and over $20 for the 2 taco platter, which makes it hard to imagine coming back frequently even though I did enjoy the overall flavors.

Some of my favorite bites were the egg custard tart with bonito and trout roe, the Taiwanese-style sausage on steamed brioche, the Half Moon Bay black cod, and the Liberty duck served two ways. The sausage was especially fun and memorable, almost like a tiny tasting menu hot dog, but with that familiar Taiwanese sweetness. The duck breast was beautifully cooked, the pasta with leg confit was so satisfying, and I loved the little pretzel croissant served on the side. Dessert kept things fruit-forward and refreshing, but one of the best surprises came after that: off-menu fries with ketchup.
