My daughter and I were exploring the neighborhood and came across this place. There's a paid parking just beginning it but supposedly it's free parking after 6pm. We were hungry when we got there so we over ordered. The Green Onion cakes were crispy and tasty. Soup dumplings were also surprisingly very good. By the time the fried rice showed up, we were at the full spectrum. We had some and it was delicious. The patron that served us gave her a couple of apricots (from her tree) to try. After catching a movie with my daughter at the Grand Lake theatre we walked past Qi Dumpling lounge and decided to try them out. We ordered the wor wonton soup, dragon dumplings, Shanghai soup dumplings and an order of potstickers. Everything was delicious. You do have to ask for chili oil if you want it, it's not just out on the table. The soup was rather bland without it, but with it and a splash of soy sauce it was delicious. The reason I'm giving this spot only 3 stars is because something so weird happened I still can't believe it. I dropped one of my potstickers on the floor, I was picking it up as the waitress walked by, she took it from my hand and I said "would you mind" she interrupted me saying "yes, I rinse" I turned to my daughter saying, "that's not what I was going to ask her" we both crack up laughing and sure enough she rinsed it with hot water and brought it back to me! Hahahahaha! I was shocked. She was saying things like "it still good" "don't want to waste it" I don't know if it's because I'm an overweight white woman that she thinks I want to eat food off a restaurant floor but she was mistaken. We went on a Thursday evening into an empty restaurant, and wanted to try a new spot. Service was quick, accommodating and kind. The restaurant itself was nice and clean. We were very happy and impressed with the food! We got the hot and sour soup, dragon dumplings and Peking chicken. Everything came out fresh and hot, and had so much flavor to them with large portions. Truly the best hot and sour soup out there and we had great leftovers to go. A pretty tasty option for fresh dumplings and tasty dishes! I ordered from Qi Dumpling Lounge on a whim. I was starving and sick at the time, and their food came to my rescue! I ordered on Grub Hub pretty late in the day, less than an hour before this spot closed. Again, on a whim and desperate for comforting food whilst ill. The food was done very fast and the quality was not diminished from delivery or late hours! I ordered their chili pork wontons and a box of scallion pancakes, two of my favorites items. Both were really good! The wontons themselves were super juicy and very filled with meat. And the chili oil sauce that coated them was super flavorful. I loved the inclusion of fresh cut herbs and pickled vegetables in this dish. Really bright and balanced all the flavors. The scallion pancake was perfectly friend and not too oily. Perfectly crispy with that slight chewiness, a pleasant bite. The pancake dipped into the wonton oil, so good! Overall, a super tasty spot! Qi Dumpling Lounge is where we most often go before our Grand Lake Theatre outings. If you arrive around 5pm at the parking lot behind it, you'll get a spot. Then the servers are so friendly and helpful. And the food is excellent: we love the hot and sour soup with wontons, dragon dumplings, Shanghai soup dumplings . . . the spinach and green bean dishes are stir-fried to perfection. They were lovely when I went to pick the food up. But the Mongolian beef and the potstickers were not that good. The flavor of the Mongolian beef was OK but not typical Mongolian beef. The meat was pretty tender, so that was good, but it was not very spicy, almost no green onions just some green bell peppers which I do not like. The potstickers had way too thick of a wrap. I was looking for some good takeout after watching a movie at grand Lake theater, and this was the perfect find! The service was great, and when I walked in on a Saturday night, my food only took 10 minutes to prepare. I walked around the corner to Walden books, so there's plenty to do while you wait for your food if you wanna walk in. The food itself is great! I ordered the wonton dumpling soup, which was filling and tasty also feeling like a lighter soup. I also ordered the scallop and shrimp dumplings, which were delicious! Also, GrubHub gives me a $10 discount on selected pickups, so why not order takeout? So far, the highlights of my orders have been the Mongolian Beef and Garlic Beef Chow Mein. Also, numerous Dumpling orders. Everyone had an opinion on the food, but here's my take: Mongolian Beef, Grade(5/5): This is the best Mongolian Beef ever! And Mongolian Beef is one of my favorite chinese dishes. This dish had a creamy gravy, with thinly sliced beef. It had just the right heat, and went well with rice. Served with onions and red chilis. Garlic Beef Chow Mein, Grade (3/5): It was just OK. Not alot of spicy garlic flavor. Maybe it's like this as to not overpower an entree. Dumplings, Grade(4/5): I ordered the Potstickers, Cilantro Mushroom Chicken Sui Mai, and Dragon Dumplings. I liked heavy potstickers, and tasty Sui Mai. But the Dragon Dumplings, I won't order again. I wish I had come here before I did. This place is legit. We had the wonton soup which is a large portion with 8 humongous wontons. the broths is light and had chopped napa cabbage and cilantro so the flavor was subtle but good. The wontons were packed with pork. It was sooo good. We also had the rice noodle salad with shrimp. The shrimp were large and very tender. Cooked just right with a very light batter. The dressing was light with a slight vinegary taste and very refreshing. I had to have the twice fried pork belly. The order size is generous and full of sliced pork belly. It was served with sliced carrots, cabbage, water chestnuts, thai peppers and slices of jalapeño peppers with seeds in a hoisin based sauce. It was really good. If you eat the peppers you get lots of heat. We ordered wine. And Issac was nice enough to let us know that the bottle had been opened the night before and gave us a chance to reject the wine and he'd open up a new bottle. Great pot stickers, one of the best hot and sour soups I can remember having (and the option to have really good wontons IN the hot and sour is a dream come true). This came up on Yelp (of course, right?) and decided to give it a try. There's a parking lot in the rear if you can't find any spots along Grand Ave. Nice interior upon entering. Sat down and my friend and I were given menus. We decided to try a little bit of everything to give us a good idea of their food and whatnot. Went with the Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), Fire Cracker Pork Won Tons, Pork Belly Bun Sliders and the Szechuan Pork Noodles. The food came out one by one, which worked out. Soup dumplings had nice texture to them. Stuck to the paper and caused some dumplings to leak out some of the soup when trying to put one onto your spoon or plate. The inside was a bit bland. The Fire Cracker Pork Won Tons were good. Flavorful and a nice bite. The Pork Belly Bun Sliders were probably my favorite thing that we ordered. The pork belly tasted a bit overcooked and was a bit tough to bite into. The buns it came with were nice and soft nonetheless. I went ahead and skipped adding the hoisin on the side. Could have used a little spice maybe? The Szechuan Pork Noodles had a nice bite to them and a decent spice. Enjoyed this for the most part. Overall, the service was great. Super nice. For inside seating they are still practicing social distancing, vaccine checks and masks when walking through the restaurant. Fine by us. For food we got three dishes. Shanghai Soup Dumplings are little bao served with a vinegar sauce. These were light and fluffy. Not too filling but tasty. We also got Soy Glazed Pork Belly sliders. These were little sandwiches you fill yourself with crispy and scrumptious Pork Belly and pickled cucumbers. The bun was soft and pillowy which was a good contrast to the pork. We also got Garlic Noodles with added shrimp. This was my favorite dish we got. We are garlic lovers and there was plenty of that, the noodles were thick and chewy in a good way, there were green beans, scallions and then the added shrimp was a good meaty contrast. After finishing all our food we wanted one more dish. The waiter (who possibly is the owner as well?) suggested potstickers which were fresh made. They came out blazing hot. We didn't care for the dipping sauce it came with but otherwise it was another awesome dish. Definitely the best Potsticker I've had. Overall all fours dishes we had were 5/5. Pretty standard Chinese restaurant. I got To Go on a Friday Night. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived- not sure if they were doing dine in but the waitress was very kind and attentive to us. I really enjoyed their fried pork dumplings. The veggies dumplings were okay but honestly would have rather gotten more of the pork after trying it. We got the sqechwan pork noodles which was really good. I liked the thickness and consistency of the noodles. We also got the garlic green beans which had a really good flavor and were cooked well! There was a nice crunch.
