By the time we got to the restaurant, we just had to wait a couple of minutes, and we were seated. I really recommend joining the waitlist as this place gets really packed! As we were seated, the staff told us to order on the iPad and that drinks were all included, but you have to go get it yourselves, which is in the back of the restaurant in the fridge next to the sauce bar. The food came out pretty fast. We ran out of places to put the food! SO MUCH SEAFOOD! It's nonstop food! The staff was very attentive; once there was an empty plate, they took it away. And once the plate is full of leftover shell and such, they ask to replace the plate. 2 deals were going on when we were there. 1. If you pay by cash, you get - one LAANKEE (there is a LAANKEE attached to the restaurant at the front of the store) per person - one of the paid desserts from their menu 2. If you post on social media, they don't want a little red note, but any other social media is good; you get a lobster

I was only familiar with the Edison location and didn't realize there was a much closer one that didn't require a ridiculously long road trip. True to its nautical name, Chong Qing offers some killer seafood-centered fare. You can pretty pick from all the fruits de mer for your hot pot, but I want to take a moment to praise the apps: We got some delicious raw clams, crabs and shrimp marinated in a delectable sweet and savory soy/garlic-based sauce. It was so good, I nearly lapped up my plate like a hungry dog. And you better believe I smashed that re-order button, considering it was AYCE! Their sashimi--a la Arctic Surf Clams and other chewy pieces of the crustacean variety--were also fresh and succulent. We even got complimentary Australian lobster tail (to boil in our hot pot), which was definitely a win. All in all, the pescatarian in me was doing happy mermaid dances by the end of our meal. And the cherry on top? Or should I say durio? AYCE durian. Yes, yes, I know this fruit is controversial--and in the case of my dinner, I was the only one to enjoy it while everyone else stared at me like I'd grown six extra eyes. But screw it, I was more than happy to finish my hot pot with its pungent creaminess. Even if a few pieces weren't fully de-frosted. The only thing I'd avoid is their specialty tea offerings. I got a peach/jasmine lemon tea thing, and it was flavorless. Not worth the $7.

The best was the homemade passionfruit oolong tea that paired so well with our spicy broth and this sparkling lychee drink!! I grabbed so many of those while eating.. It's SO spacious and so pretty here, they even have aprons and bag up your jackets & bags so you don't smell like hot pot (although my hair did smell like hot pot cuz i was digging IN). Definitely worth the trip to deeper brooklyn!

The interior feels different from your typical hot pot restaurant and made a strong first impression. We went with the higher-end seafood package and ordered across the menu. Unfortunately, the food itself left us a little underwhelmed. The spicy broth ended up being too intense for several people at our table, while the tomato bone broth was much more enjoyable. The meats were pretty average, the vegetables were fine, and the shrimp were surprisingly small. I was also looking forward to the sushi, but it came covered in a red sauce that completely took away from it. The restaurant was also pretty tight, and where we were seated it felt especially hot. By the end of dinner, we all walked out smelling like spicy broth and grilled meat. I can definitely see why people enjoy Xiang. It is busy, energetic, and offers something different. But having tried quite a few hot pot restaurants, I expected a little more from the selection and quality, especially with the premium package. Fine for a place for group hangouts, but also not memorable.

The menu has plenty to choose from. Broths are flavorful. Service was good. I enjoyed their milk tea as well. The place is clean and everything tastes fresh. The ONLY thing I would suggest is to separate the seafood and vegetables when they bring out the items. One of our friends does not eat seafood at all and we let them know that, but they still brought everything out on one plate. And the music was just wayyyy too loud where we sometimes couldn't hear each other speak. Would absolutely go here again!

We stuck it out and got seated in 35 minutes. They provide a bag for you to put your jacket prior to eating so it doesn't get the food smell on it. The price is $35 per person and it is all you can eat, so we got to chomping! We got the typical meats. I will say this is one of the few places that offers interesting variety on the meats. They had angus beef (great for me as I prefer my beef leaner) and spicy beef. The spicy beef was ok, idea sounded better than it tasted but it wasn't too bad. The service was pretty decent except a few items I ordered were forgotten and we had to remind them about it. Overall a great experience!

The drinks and ice cream/desserts also help yourself, plenty of wet wipes to clean up. But most importantly, the food was so fresh and incredible. I've never had actual live shrimp before and will admit was a little nervous when they started jumping around. The star of the show is the fresh crab, offering a luxurious taste without the hefty price tag. For a sashimi lover on a budget, the quality here is a pleasant surprise, rivaling that of more expensive sushi bars. It's a delightful experience to enjoy high-quality sashimi without the worry of overspending. Wrapping up the meal, the brown sugar grass jelly with peanut and mango dessert is a standout. It's rare to find such a sophisticated and satisfying dessert at an AYCE restaurant. This sweet finale is not just an afterthought but a testament to the restaurant's commitment to quality across the board. For a frugal foodie in NYC, this place is a gem, offering an experience that's both wallet-friendly and deliciously memorable

Durian fans, take note, they serve unlimited fruit here too as well as durian desserts. I enjoyed the different mochis but note they are filled with flavored whip cream, not bean paste or ice cream. We got the hotpot and skewers combo and the experience was quite nice and different. We ordered the soup base for hotpot with the workers and the skewers as well. All the hotpot items are in the fridge in the back along with the drinks which is also included in the price (all you can drink). We ordered skewers and whatever offerings that came with this option and then went to get stuff for hotpot. I think they have a good enough variety and the fun part is to put the sticks in the hotpot and eat off of it as well. WIth the skewers options, I think each person gets a scallop with vermicelli but we didnt know and we asked for seconds (whooops). the lady was nice enough to give it to us anyway. The workers are super attentive and very helpful. As for drink options, they have a variety of sodas, wong lo jie, fruity drinks. I was def happy even though I tried not to drink too much. They also have "snacks" on the back side by the drink fridge that you can help yourself to. Will definitely be back to try the grilll fish option!

Everything was delicious and I love how easy it is to get more skewers on your own. They also have a large selection of drinks from soy milk to herbal teas. In the end, you also get ice cream although the flavors are pretty basic here. Note that if you pay in cash, you get free durian, which is nice and creamy.

We sat at a big table and it was the reservation for ten people in total. Service was okay-ish and somewhat attentive from semi-friendly staff. Hard to get a few napkins from staff, so ended up getting up myself to find them. But, it was also understandable since it was extremely busy during rush hours on a Saturday evening. Its ambiance felt spacious even though it could get crowded fast. The AYCE Pricing Tiers on Both Weekdays + Weekends: *Weekday Lunch Specials (Monday-Friday, Open to 4:00pm) - Hot Pot or BBQ: $20.99-$21.99 per adult - Both Hot Pot & BBQ: $26.99 per adult *Dinner, Weekends, & Holidays - Hot Pot or BBQ: $31.00-$32.99 per adult - Both Hot Pot & BBQ: $36.00-$37.00 per adult Everyone at the table must either do just hot pot, just K-BBQ or both. If doing both hot pot + K-BBQ, then it's $5 extra for each individual. The pricing is actually considered as typical like other Manhattan & Brooklyn spots. None of the drinks are included within the AYCE pricing, each drink is paid separately. There're discounts available towards children. But there were no kids with us at that time, everyone was an adult. We had chosen to do both hot pot & K-BBQ. $5 extra wasn't too bad to begin with. There's quite a variety of meats + seafood + fish balls + soybean products + noodles + veggies available from the menu. All of us wanted to try eating/grilling/cooking the ingredients in both ways. Additionally, the restaurant offered each patron an unlimited access to the self-serve Hot Appetizer Food + Fresh Fruits + Desserts + DIY Sauce Bar during the 2-hours. Hot appetizers such as sweet potato fries, fried chicken, fried dumplings or whatever options they'd offered on the day you decide to visit the location. Desserts like Hong Kong styled sweet soups and mango pomelo. Sauce Bar includes soy sauce, oyster sauce, hot sauce, peanut satay sauce, hoisin sauce, minced garlic, chopped green onions, cilantro, chili peppers, sesame oil etc. *There're currently 9 soup base varieties: - Thai Tom Yum + Mushroom (Vegetarian) + Healthy Herbs (Chicken Broth) + Japanese Miso + Szechuan Spicy + Korean Seafood Tofu + Gluten Free + Tomato (Vegetarian) + Golden Chicken (Kpot Special). I had selected Healthy Herbs as my soup base because it's non-spicy and has a creamy/milky taste. Additionally, it's not overly salty in any way. Packed with goji berries & red dates in a chicken-styled bone broth. My friend chose the Szechuan Spicy since she has a high tolerance level of spiciness. Packed with peppercorn + chili peppers + chicken/pork stock. Ordered different parts of beef/ribeye/briskets + salmon + lamb + fish balls + quail eggs + shrimps + oysters + clams + fish cakes + mini sausages + beef meatballs + lobster balls + fish roe bags + beef tripe + fried tofu skin + bean curd sticks + napa cabbage + spinach + watercress + corn cobs + sliced pumpkin + king mushroom + taro + enoki mushroom + pineapple + rice cake + udon. All the ingredients gave my Healthy Herbs Broth just the right amount of saltiness & savoriness it needed from the meat + seafood + veggies. My all-time hot pot favorites are the beef/ribeye/brisket + quail eggs + beef tripe + oysters + clams + shrimps + lobster balls. Same favorite ingredients for K-BBQ along with the salmon & pineapple slices. My friend's boyfriend mostly grilled the meat for us and then sometimes from the staff. Such a fun time to eat dinner with a group of friends together.

I stopped by for the complimentary birthday meal that I've enjoyed here for the past several years. In the past, if you came in on your actual birthday, you could receive the birthday meal even if you were dining alone. I've always tipped 20%+ based on the full menu value and have also dined at your restaurants as a paying customer on many other occasions. When I arrived, a supervisor at the front told me the policy had changed and said I should have checked the website beforehand. I pulled up the website on the spot and showed her that it had not been updated to reflect the new policy. She acknowledged that the website was inaccurate, but simply shrugged. I politely explained that I had checked the website before making the trip and that it should be updated to avoid situations like this. Her demeanor then became noticeably dismissive. Being turned away on my birthday after commuting there and looking forward to dinner was unnecessarily frustrating and, frankly, felt a bit petty.
