If you're looking for a cheaper but satisfying spot for sushi I highly recommend QQ! Dining in, their plating is gorgeous. Takeout they really pay attention to details and take care to box it up nicely. I got a roll to go that was topped with scallops and a spicy Mayo sauce, QQ boxed it up with the sauce on the side so the sushi didn't get all soggy, something not a lot of restaurants think about or do! QQ has reopened for dine in, although they are adding on/remodeling they only have 2 tables currently to sit at. Go early or opt for take out. My only negative comment is that the sushi pieces are TOO LARGE. They are difficult to pick up and eat in a bite. Half the size would be so much better, and a more enjoyable experience rather than either stuffing a huge piece in your mouth, or trying to bite a piece in two. By far the BEST sushi in town. Moving from Southern California I was worried about finding a great sushi spot. In the past I've tried Toro Sushi & Wasabi Bistro and I was greatly disappointed. QQ Sushi was my final attempt at having sushi in this town and I'm so happy I did! The owner gets his shipments of high quality fresh fish twice a week and he will refuse anything that doesn't meet his standards. The entire staff provides excellent customer service everytime I dine here. They have very reasonable prices and are very generous with their portions. I recommend QQ Sushi to all my friends & family and have yet to have anyone be disappointed. If you LOVE quality sushi then QQ Sushi will satisfy your cravings without a doubt. This place was just ok. I wish I could give it more stars for its spicy tuna roll alone, but the California roll was... strange. It had a weird sweet flavor almost like there was sweetened cream cheese added. Definitely DO NOT recommend. I ordered take out when I got there and was very glad I did. The restaurant itself was tiny and I constantly felt in the way as I waited for my food. The poor girl answering the phone orders was so overwhelmed. Quality sushi at comparable prices, but this place makes pretty big rolls compared to everywhere else in town. The fish all looks and tastes fresh, I have even seen children enjoying their sashimi and nigiri-a rare sight for me. The tiger's eye is simple but definitely my favorite as a big salmon fan. The fire lion king roll is always fun and pretty approachable for a new sushi eater. I've been a few times and never had issues with service. Plus, I've been given complimentary small desserts or appetizers before which is very appreciated. I always look forward to the fun presentation too! We have dined here for dinner many times. It's not our favorite sushi place in town but it's the closest. So when we are tired and it has been a long week, we pop in for decent enough food. Tonight the service was so bad that my wife says "we are never going back." And she said she will remind me of that when I suggest it for a convenient sushi craving. We arrived and most of the restaurant was empty. Only 2 tables sat. Waitress comes by 3 minutes later and hastily asks if we've made up our mind. We give our order and wait. And wait. And wait. The restaurant fills up and all the tables sat after us receive food. Every single one. We just keep sitting and waiting for food. Don't even get our starter or my wife's single piece of ikura nigiri. Waitress says nothing to us. Comes over and asks if we want another beer. My wife says yes and before I can even answer "no" she walks away. Beers arrive. Still waiting for food. Then one roll is dropped. Just one. Still no starter. My wife didn't want to eat until I got my food. Finally one of my rolls shows up. So we both start eating. There is still a starter, the nigiri and my other roll missing. 45 minutes after sitting down we finally receive all of the food. There is no wasabi or ginger dropped so we ask for it. When she brings it, she has another dish and says "this is the jalapeño ponzu that comes with your roll...I forgot" and just walks away. The sauce paired with the roll I already ate 5 out of 8 pieces of. We cannot believe what's happened and just want to leave. We ask for boxes and the check is dropped with them. My wife wanted to leave a 12% tip to show our dissatisfaction. I look at the check and see that the beers weren't included so I figure she comped them in exchange for the poor service. So I tell my wife we need to leave a big tip for her generosity. We are about to leave and she comes over and tells us she "forgot" to ring us up for the beers and she asked if she could run our card for them. We are confused and tell her we thought she did it on purpose and she gets weird, mumbles and just walks away. In the end we got the worst service, the most inept waitress, and left a really good tip because we thought she was making up for such an awful experience. I really hope she takes the tip and pays for the beers with it. read more

I still believe that this is the best sushi in town. I've been going here ever since they opened and they've never disappointed. The sushi always taste fresh and the owner always came out to check that we were happy with his food. I know this place got a bad rap when the video came out, but the owner did the right thing by closing up shop for a bit and getting rid of all the staff. I was looking for a good sushi place to go for my birthday. The reviews of this place were so good and the pictures enticing I just had to try. First off, it is a small place with limited seating. We went on a Monday night and was able to sit right away but it was quite busy the whole time. We started with The Heart Attack. It was delicious, not too spicy and I waited until the kids were done before I told them there was fish in it! 2 of my kids got chicken dishes for which they liked. The rest got bento boxes. Mine was with sushi and sashimi. Very fresh and satisfying. The portions are huge and great price. I can't wait to come back and try a roll. I'm here from Atlanta so I researched Yelp for the BEST Sushi restaurant in the area and I discovered QQ Sushi & Kitchen. My daughter-in-law and I went there for lunch yesterday and we were blessed with Indi as our server. She is fast, efficient and really made us feel taken care of-the perfect combination. Now-the food. The menu is extensive and we had a hard time deciding and what we chose was perfection. My seaweed salad had the perfect amount of toasted sesame oil and the Fire Lion King baked roll arrived at the table literally in flames. I have never had a baked roll before and now I'm addicted. I am super disappointing in my last 2 experiences that I have had at this sushi spot. I have written a super positive review of this place in the past but it quickly went downhill. The last two times that I have been to QQ I have had the worse customer service. The waiter never comes back after giving us our food we even have had to go up to them with our glasses of water/soda to get refilled and even to request the check after sitting with empty plates for over 10 minutes. Also, the last time I ate here there was food debris in my water and I was very disgusted after noticing it because I had taken a huge gulp. With all this being said I still think the sushi is amazing but I just can not go back and enjoy a meal no matter how amazing this sushi is when the service is just that terrible. read more

Ordered takeout because that's what you do when you have the house to yourself. I thought two rolls would be enough, it was more than enough. I also got a side and some soup. All the food was really good, but honestly the presentation is really what knocks it out of the park. I am really glad I ordered it as takeout because it was super busy inside. Update from my review a couple years ago I ended up trying this place again for I really did like it in the beginning and then it went downhill for us and I had a review on here and showed pictures of how really bad it got but something's changed now the last time I went in everything was back to amazing and tasted wonderful price is still a little iffy but I got the same things that I used to love before and they went back to the Great Expectations that I had from the beginning so I'm very happy that things have changed again. Their Coconut shrimp with coconut sauce us so yummy and the shrimp was a way better size! Their crunchy shrimp roll w the eel sauce is just ad I remembered back when I went all the time to get it! I had the sashimi plate for $18. It was pricey but well worth it. The fish was nicely sliced and the serving was more than ample. The service was good. It is a surprisingly small restaurant and was extremely busy. It was very noisey and had little to offer as far as atmosphere. It would be a five star except for that. Then the waitress realized she brought the wrong plate for my husband and said she would go get his food. We waited about 10 minutes with one plate on our table. I then flagged down our server to tell her we had been waiting with one plate and I was told the kitchen lost the ticket, which I don't believe since I got my plate. We waited about 10 more minutes while I stared hungrily at my sushi. As people around us who came in after us received their food I became more irritated. Finally we left, paying for our drinks but not the food we didn't get to eat. I can't speak to the food quality since we didn't get to eat, but the service was bad. I won't be going back. read more

First, I have to start off by saying that we are sushi fanatics. We have eaten sushi from all over. Seattle, California, Oregon and QQ Sushi is BY FAR the best sushi we have ever had. We absolutely cannot get enough. Every roll I try is better than the last one. My favorites are the Mexicali Roll and the Bao-Chicka-Wow-Wow rolls. The latter of the two rolls comes with a jalapeño ponzu sauce. It is so good that I want to dip everything in it. If you come through Spokane and do not eat here, you are absolutely missing out! The staff is friendly and amazing. Our waitresses today were Dalila and Mirela. Both are super personable and very attentive. As soon as I walked in I was recognized by the waitress and chef and they had big smiles seeing me in again, even talked with the waitress about me being away so long (as they knew my voice calling in to go orders and knowing exactly what I wanted) I took my mom and her fiancé there ( she's hates seafood) she ate the tempura shrimp and cali roll!! The red dragon roll is "the perfect roll" according to my husband. Exquisite. The Las Vegas and the lobster rolls were also very tasty! We also received a complimentary piece of a fried cali roll. I normally never order a cali roll anywhere. The fried aspect and sauce served over it were ah-mazing. The place is doing good business. The staff do their best to accomodate you quickly and get you seated. They took our phone number on the second visit this weekend and called us in our car as soon as the table was ready. It was too cold to wait outside. Be patient if you go and it's crowded. A sassy lady obviously was not aware we were before her but waiting outside for the call and she threw a fit and left making a scene. The mgmt might post a sign or something to ease that blow if you think you are next and the only peopke waiting.
