BEWARE!!!!! just Bought a Corvette from these guys and it had multiple problems on my drive home. I live far from them (2.5 hrs) so I took it to another Chevy dealer near my house as soon as I got home and the car needed over $5,000.00 in repairs. I sent them all the diagnostic codes and estimates from my Chevrolet dealer. My dealer also told me that every Chevy dealer is supposed to fully scan and look over every vehicle before it's sold and they should not be selling vehicles with existing codes on them as mine had. They also said the codes were definitely there when quality had the vehicle. I have been calling Quality Chevrolet for two weeks now as no one wants to deal with this situation. I finally got a hold of "Jeff" a manager and he said they will pay $300.00 of the bill and I have to eat the rest of the $4,700.00 bill. This is unbelievable from a Chevrolet dealer. I was In contact via text messages with my sales rep Zach who sold me the car the entire way, he read all my messages but also did not want to respond or have anyone call me back. This is "LOW QUALITY CHEVROLET" DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CROOKS. There are much better dealers than these guys. I now have to sue them for damages waisting more of my time. When I asked for out the door cost they said "that listed price/discount was a mistake and it's actually going to be $3000 more" Classic bait and switch and this does not even include the dealer add-on after MSRP- a $2500 ceramic coating (BS) and $800 clear shield/enviro/theft fee (which no one could explain). I've purchased one used and new car in the last 6 months and they had a ceramic coat fee as well, but it was $500 (GMC) and $1000 (bmw) respectively. Avoid these crooks at all cost. Here is an example of their illegal and unethical practice outlined in my email to GM: Hi Lewis. I came in for the vehicle below based on cars.com listing: https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/3b5c4989-44b5-449b-96c7-54c68e1e2948/?similar_cars=true&attribution_type=isa I had extensive conversations with Anthony over few days. I kept repeating that I wanted the price without any add-ons and the only thing added would be was sales tax, license fee and doc fee. He assured me multiple times that would be the case since I was telling him that would be the only way I would travel 150 miles (each way) to come and get the car. So I drove down with my wife on Thursday, Anthony showed the car and had me fill the financial papers. Even then I was telling Anthony that the only thing added should be sales tax, license fee and doc fee. He confirmed. Then the floor manager comes with him and puts the contract in front of me with about $4K in "after market" charges trying to sneak it in. And when I asked him, he sleazed his way into talking BS. If I wanted to pay this much, I already had an option in Covina for a 3 miles vehicle for $23K. Why would I buy a used car with 5K miles for more? I felt that he was taking me for a fool and I was not going to pay a penny more and I told him. He tried his BS that Anthony had told me about this charge and I told him he did not and had confirmed no additional charges. Anthony stood there with shame on his face and no words (not to cross his manager). I know this is an illegal "Bate and Switch" practice. I left since I felt taken as a fool. I talked to my attorney friend and he sent me this: It is illegal for a car dealership in California to add mandatory "after market" charges if these charges were not included in the original advertised price and you did not consent to them. Dealers are required by law to honor the advertised price, with the only permissible additions being government-mandated fees (like taxes and registration) and a dealer documentation fee. Honoring Advertised Price: Under California Vehicle Code Section 11713.1(e), a dealership cannot sell a vehicle for more than its lowest advertised price. The advertisement on car.com for $19K is considered the advertised price. Mandatory Add-Ons are Prohibited: Dealerships often pre-install items like anti-theft devices, surface protection, or other "after-market" products. While they can try to sell these, they cannot make them a mandatory condition of the sale unless they are clearly included in the advertised price. Disclosure and Consent: The California Car Buyer's Bill of Rights mandates that no charges may be added to the contract without full disclosure and your written consent. You must be given an itemized price list for any optional "add-on" items, and the dealer must show you the price with and without these items. Your conversation with the agent confirming only tax and government fees would be added further supports your position. Deceptive Practices: Advertising a "bait" price to lure customers in and then forcing them to pay for undisclosed add-ons is considered a deceptive and unfair business practice under state and federal law. You asked me how you can earn my business. Here is my offer: Sell me the car for $19K to compensate for 2 trips of 300 miles each($380 is not much for 2 days of my time and driving 600 miles- I will pay $19380 if you can deliver the vehicle to me) + sales tax, license fee and doc fee.
