such a fun and unique eating experience! I have a bad habit of scarfing down my food so building the rolls one at a time forced me to slow down and savor the meal, which I really appreciated. the flavors were explosive and I love how you can customize each bite. my only complaint is there wasn't more, so I'd say that's a pretty good sign. also wouldn't mind if there was a little more protein per dish

We got the banh uot and banh hoi at Quan Nhii. The stand out dish was the banh uot with crispy pork belly. The rice paper was incredibly delicate and soft and the crispy pork belly had a really nice crackly skin, giving the dish a great contrast in texture. I liked being able to build each bite with the pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, and cucumbers, then dip everything into the fish sauce. The fried shallots added another layer of crunch and flavor that tied everything together.

I love Vietnamese food and this is the only place where I've found this unique freshly made rice paper tower dish. It's a simple concept done so well. It is kinda pricey but it's definitely something I still dream about and wish they had a location closer to home. I've been here twice, once with my 2 gfs and we ordered 2 towers and an extra meat along with the egg rolls. Another time with my family of 6 where we ordered 3 towers, egg rolls and a rice dish. The rice dish wasn't anything special, fried rice with an over hard egg and lemongrass chicken. The egg should be over easy so it has a runny yolk in my opinion so it was a miss for me. The lemongrass chicken in the rice was the same as the one in the tower we got, good but just ok. I've gotten the lemongrass pork before and thought that was just ok too. The crispy pork belly rice sheet tower is where it's at. You get veggies, crispy onions and fish sauce. Def ask for more fish sauce cause it was delish. I always have to ask for it with no chili cause the chili comes standard. The egg rolls are a miss so pass on those. Plus it only comes with four which is kinda sad. 6 would be better. My mom got the papaya salad. I'm not a fan but the beef jerky on top was good. Service is fairly fast. They took our order quickly but the rice sheet towers took a while, maybe cause they're made to order; either way, they're worth the wait.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There are few places that have dishes that I dream about and this place is one of them, hence the 5 stars. Price point could be better but till I find somewhere else that has this, I'll still make the drive out.

I found Quan Nhii on social media and finally had a chance to check it out. It's tucked away in the Bolsa Mini Mall plaza, so it's easy to miss if you don't know where to look. I highly recommend joining the Yelp waitlist before you go because the wait can get pretty long. The standout for me was the banh uot heo quay with pork belly. It was absolutely delicious! The dish comes with 10 sheets of fresh banh cuon, vegetables, crispy fried onions, and a sweet fish sauce for dipping. Next time, I'd probably order an extra side of the shredded pork meatloaf because it paired so well with everything. I also ordered a side of the lemongrass chicken, but it wasn't my favorite. It had more of a curry flavor than the bright lemongrass flavor I was expecting, so I'd skip that next time and stick with the pork options. We also shared the Bun bo hue dac diet Combo, which came with two beef ribs. It was flavorful and worth trying if you're dining with someone. A nice bonus is that they provide complimentary green tea and Thai tea. Once you're seated, the service is quick and efficient, and all of the food came out promptly. Overall, everything was fresh and tasty, and I can definitely see myself coming back. Just be prepared for the wait--and use that Yelp waitlist!

We came back a year later and nothing has changed, which is good. I feel like the steamed rolls are perfect to eat if you want something filling, but not too heavy and light and flavorful. I like the food here and came back 2x during my most recent trip to socal. This time around, when we ordered the steamed rolls (10 plates), we got one protein and added on another protein at an extra charge. We ended up with grilled pork and roasted pork belly. Both tasted great and their nuoc cham/mam is delicious. I was satisfied both times and shared it with another person. Customer service is still excellent, despite them getting really busy on weekends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first time we went, it was lunch time in the middle of the week so they were not busy at all. The second time, was a weekend and almost all tables were full. They have enough tables to handle the rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I recommend and we'll probably try this place almost Everytime I'm in socal.

Saw the banh uot tower online and couldn't stop thinking about it. Stopped by on a weekday and got seated right away, which was nice. We ordered the banh uot with cha lua and the thit nuong, and everything was steamed fresh to order. The banh uot itself was soft and not gummy, the cha lua was tasty, and the grilled pork was super flavorful. The meat comes on the side so you can control how much for each plate. One of my favorite viet dishes. Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I'm craving fresh banh uot!

It was a fun and delicious experience! For some reason the server didn't want to give us our second tower until we work on the first tower yet other people around us had each of their own towers. We went on a Friday night and there was no line. We each got our own crispy pork. Would definetely go back again when I'm back to SoCal!

Absolutely loved this Vietnamese banh cuon spot! We ordered the bun Bo hue and banh cuon tower with grilled pork and crispy pork. I think we would stick to the grilled pork next time, we liked the lemongrass flavor on it more. The BBH with rib bone was sooo good, their broth was good and we got spicy and it definitely had a kick! I loved the concept of being able to roll our own banh cuons with all the toppings you want. I also rly liked the fish sauce you dip them in, yumm!! Can't wait to come back again, been here twice and loved it both times so far!! Even their drinks are good! The restaurant is right next to the gelato place and service was nice and attentive.

Quan Nhii has been a spot I've had bookmarked for ages! I see it all over tik tok and let me just say it lived up to the hype. There was a line on a Saturday morning but so worth it and the workers are very efficient. The steamed rice plates were thin and the sides were decent sized. For only $21.95, 10 steam plates is such a deal. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're interested in trying something fun and fresh!

So happy I finally got to try this place!! They're right next to the animal gelato place that was once a craze. Parking was easy w/ a fair amount of spaces. Service was prompt; they did mess up on an order but wasn't a super big deal. We got the papaya salad, egg rolls, rice paper plates w/ shrimp/chive/pork belly (#6), vermicelli w/ pork belly (#11), bun bo hue rib bone (#14), & variety of drinks. Everything was delicious!! If you're coming w/ a big group, I'd recommend getting a lil bit of everything: at least #6 & #14 if you're in the mood for broth. My favorite was definitely the rice paper plates; so fun & a great balance of flavors. Very similar overall taste w/ #11; just depends on what texture you like better. The veggies were also excellent condition & the sauce/shallots were addictive. We look forward to trying more of the menu items

Stopped by around 2:30 pm on a Friday for a late lunch with a friend and we were seated immediately. They're known for their house speciality, Bánh Ướt. We ordered the Bánh Ướt Heo Quay (crispy pork belly) which came with 10 rice paper plates topped w/ minced shrimp + chives, veggies, fried shallots, and chili chive dipping sauce ($21.95) and the Bún Bò Huế Bò Bắp Hoa ($16.95). The crispy pork belly was perfectly crispy and tender and the dipping sauce was so good. The broth for the Bún Bò Huế was light yet flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Would definitely come back!

Drove here just for the Banh uot tower I saw online, and it did not disappoint. It was so good, and very fun wrapping my own rolls! The veggie sides and pork belly paired perfectly together, especially loved the fish sauce. I could've drenched every roll in it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was very clean, and was not busy when i went during a Friday evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd definitely would come back again, it was so tasty!

Restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had a few people in it which was nice. We could enjoy our meal and talk to each other without yelling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the specialty crispy pork rice paper tower and it was yummy. Got us full but in a good way not the sluggish way. We also ordered the vermicelli noodle with lemon grass chicken and that was a different texture and good.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

Phở 79 received the prestigious James Beard America's Classics Award, and it's easy to understand why after one meal here. This restaurant is truly an Orange County icon. The restaurant will soon be moving to a new location, as signs throughout the restaurant announce the upcoming move. While I'll miss the original spot, I'm excited for the new space--hopefully with more parking! Some places are worth the wait, and Phở 79 is absolutely one of them.

From the moment it hit the table, I could smell how rich and flavorful the broth was. You can tell it wasn't rushed--it tasted like it had been simmering for hours. Every spoonful was comforting, packed with depth, and had the perfect balance of savory flavors. The beef was unbelievably tender, practically melting in my mouth, and the noodles had the perfect bite. This is the kind of meal that reminds you why pho is one of the best comfort foods out there. What really impressed me was the freshness of everything. The herbs were vibrant, the bean sprouts had a great crunch, the jalapeños added the perfect kick, and a squeeze of lime brought the entire bowl together. Every ingredient complemented the broth instead of overpowering it. I found myself slowing down just to enjoy every bite because it was that good. By the time I finished, I was honestly wishing there was another bowl waiting for me. The service and atmosphere made the experience even better. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. It's always a bonus when great food is matched by great hospitality. Pho Redbo has officially earned a spot on my list of favorite pho restaurants, and I already know I'll be back to try more of the menu. If you're searching for a pho spot that delivers on flavor, freshness, and overall experience, don't sleep on this place--you'll leave happy and already planning your next visit.

The flavors of the pho and fried rice were perfect! Savory Wagyu fried rice with that rich Wagyu taste. And the combination pho had a lot of meat which was all very good and tender. The broth was a win too. You get a taste of all the spices that are supposed to stand out in a bowl of pho. I liked that the thin noodles were chewy and not overcooked. The fries were also really good and our boys of course loved them! Eggrolls were off the chain!! The service was outstanding. Our waiter was so kind and accommodating with our requests. It's a pretty decent sized restaurant
