Rice rolls with assorted pork rolls & tofu

I was in the area and stopped by here for dinner. I did stop by Bep Viet once about two months ago but the restaurant was closed that day. I noticed that they have good reviews so wanted to try again. I am always up for good eats. :) It was a great decision. I learned that Bep Viet is also owned by the same owner of Quan Bun. What a coincidence! I love Quan Bun but haven't been back in a while since it is a bit out of the way for me. Had the House Special rice rolls (Banh cuốn dac biet) and canh bun, another house special and my favorite dish from Quan Bun. They both were very delicious. Rice rolls had the perfect chewiness and all protein that came with it were so good. Serving was a tad small though but it was fine. Canh bun, needless to say, was amazing. I ordered without the pork blood cakes. Service was fantastic. The young men with the glasses (server and cashier) was polite, respectful, and attentive. Restaurant is fairly new so it's super clean and beautifully decorated. Highly recommend this restaurant. A must return!

Came across Bếp Việt a few days before actually stopping by as I haven't been to this side of Mile Square park in some time. From checking out some of the photos from other customers, I figured we should give it a shot. What caught our eye is that they have a variety of soup and variety is always good to have especially if you're stuck between wanting to eat Bun Bo Hue or Pho! Not to mention how aesthetically cozy the restaurant is! FOOD Herbal Tea with Logan and Chia Seed Refreshing beverage on a hot day and pairs well with any dish! Well-presented too! Bun Bo Hue It was good but there's definitely room for improvement! Flavor consistency was fairly light but I suppose this would be a good introduction for someone's first time! And of course an abundance of veggies to soak up the broth! Pho Bếp Việt Great flavor and plenty of protein! I think this one hit the spot for me as I was craving Pho. I'm almost certain that this is probably one of my top 10 but just to confirm, I'll be ordering it again the next time we eat here! OVERALL Came here on a Friday evening around 6pm. There's plenty of parking and crowd was fairly moderate on noise level. As I mentioned, interior is very cozy and aiming for an upscale look with their marble-top tables with leather seats. Seems to be the new trend but also noticed that they have a 2nd floor which I was curious about. They even have outside seating too! Inviting atmosphere, attentive customer service, and a great selection of food! I think we'll be visiting again soon to try out some of the dry dishes and the Pho again! Thanks to The Bếp Việt Team for a delicious meal and first visit!

Back here again after 8 months, decided to bring a friend for lunch here on a Sunday at noon. Fortunately wasn't too crowded - plenty of parking in the plaza. We got a booth table upstairs as I wanted immediately (last time I was here, the upstairs wasn't complete yet. Ambiance - beautiful, clean, I love the two floor layout too, and the nice part is if you sit upstairs and need their help, you don't need to run downstairs to talk to them, there's a buzzer button to press and they'll be there. Love their attention to details like that! Service was really good - efficient, friendly, and attentive. We ordered Bo Ne with rice, Nui Xa Bo, and a Da Me (tamarind drink) for each of us. Food was delicious, everything was perfect and spot on! My friend and I had an amazing dining experience here overall and would highly recommend them and will definitely be back!

Nice clean, upscale Vietnamese restaurant with lots of parking. Their bun rieu was excellent; but their bo-ne was lacking. So called filet mignon meat was tough and chewy - tasted more like chuck beef. Bread was excellent and their service was great.

Stellar service here at Bep Viet. Brought my mom here for an early lunch. The banh cuon dac biet was delicious as usual and has a good amount of veggies to complement the dish. The meat spring roll was very light and filled with veggies to my delight. I think if it had another thin layer of meat it would've been perfect. The BBH (bun Bo hue) had a nice light broth. I felt it could've been a little bit more flavorful; I feel like since I came right at the opening time, early in the day, it wasn't as flavorful as I had remembered the first time around when I came in the afternoon. I will definitely be back again to try in the afternoon; I absolutely love the banh cuon dish here! Beautiful restaurant, inside and out, plenty of seats inside, upstairs, and outside as well!

Located in the same plaza as Nep Cafe on the other side with more parking, and across from Mile Square Park. They take online reservations via Yelp, open early at 8am, we came here at 10am there was plenty of seating so there is no need to make reservations. The restaurant is two level with nice decor of plant theme. We ordered canh bun a noodle soup with meat roll, crab meatballs, ong choy vegetable. The soup is flavorful and clean tasting. The only downside is service can be spotty and clumsy I heard dishes drop, and walking by the outside backside it smelled bad like trash. I'm not sure what letter grade they received from the health department. Fortunately the dining area looks nice.

Cute , clean restaurant. Service was good our waiter was friendly and attentive. My daughter had Bún Thịt nướng and chả giò ( rice vermicelli noodles with grilled pork and egg roll ) 7/10 She also had Vietnamese coffee 8/10 I had rice vermicelli noodles soup with crabmeat balls (canh bún). Flavors were good just a bit salty. We will come back to try other items on the menu.

First time here, And I love the food so far We 4 people try Dried Pho, Bun bo hue, Banh cuon dac biet and sizzling Steak. They all taste great, the portion is good enough for me. Service were very nice and welcoming We will be back to try other dishes soon

This spot was okay. I'll start with some of the positives. Positives: -parking, being further out of the main little Saigon area it had a large parking lot and finding parking was easy. -size, the restaurant is very large and can easily accommodate more that 5 people. Note that if you bring six or more you're getting that 18% California automatic tip surcharge. Just leaving that here because it can be a shock when you pay. -service was quick and friendly. They also pay attention to you which is a plus for Vietnamese restaurants. Negatives: -food was okay. My wife got the dry pho. The broth was too herbal (strong cinnamon and star Elise taste). I got the bun rieu and it tasted good at first and had a good amount of meat.. Though I got a head ache later. I don't have a sensitivity to MSG unless they put too much. Overall 4/5 My parents paid for us and they actually liked this spot which is rare. However, I would not come back unless someone else is paying. Being that it's a little more expensive than the spots in main little Saigon, we're gonna be more critical of where we eat.

Nice space, average quality Vietnamese food. Plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. Please come and create your own adventure.

Went here to grab some lunch since we skipped breakfast. Parking is good since they have a big parking lot. Since it's holiday therefore abit of waiting for both inside and outside (big group occupied). Once we sat down, friendly staff gave us the menu. Simple and small menu with plenty of good choices of varied dishes. We ordered quicker and with reasonable time for turnabout , the foods came out. The place is clean, airy, spacious with 2 floors inside and big patio outdoor seating. Minimum with simply refresh and chill decors. They have both booths and tables seating type. The foods are well presented and good tasting. Nothing special, except big portion and plenty of toppings for sure. Very fulfilling. Pricing is going well with the portion. Overall, nice lunch with good foods, good service & good pricing.

Interior is a little on the small side, at least on the ground floor. Came on a Saturday at 1pm and got seated immediately. Bun Rieu - The broth was very good and felt very comforting. Bo Ne - Very good. Loved the pate and the meat was tender. Sauce is a little on the sweet side. Fried chicken wings - Good flavor and loved the crispy bits. It's not really wings, each wing was broken in half so it's more like chicken shards.

Bếp Việt is a wonderful spot located right across from Mile Square Park. After spending some time relaxing at the park, I stopped by for lunch. The restaurant has two floors and is decorated in a clean, cozy, and welcoming style. I ordered the bò né and the special bánh cuốn. The bò né was light for my taste, but it may be suitable for those who prefer less fat and a less oily version. The portion was a bit small for $21.99. The special bánh cuốn was delicious, though also on the smaller side, but at $13.99 the price felt fair. The interior is spacious, yet cute and inviting. The restaurant is usually not crowded, which makes for a pleasant dining experience. The service deserves special praise. The staff are genuinely friendly, polite, and attentive, they even asked me for feedback on the food, which really showed that they care about what they're serving. Parking is not hard to find.

The yuzu and lemonade didn't overpower each other, and a nice touch of the mint leaf! Kei Coconut Ube had a nice taste to it. The sweetness was nice, super purple in color, and worth trying at least once. Drink definitely does not look or taste like a beer so think of it as a sparkling Ube drink when you try it. Beef Tongue appetizer was very tasty and the appearance was pretty. The sauce was very delicious with a hint of citrus. Beef Bowl Udon was delicious as well. The udon noodles are in the middle of the thickness level. Broth was nice and refreshing, and the beef belly was super soft and tasted amazing. Seafood Tom Kha Ramen was really good. Seafood in it were shrimps, scallops, and squid/calamari. Not too spicy, but had a nice kick to it. Veggies were nice and mixed well with the seafood ramen! Unfortunately, the eggs do not come with the udon or ramen, but they do have free unlimited ramen noodles!!! They let you get it for the udon broths as well! Would definitely come back to this place when I'm back in this part of town!

It's a great place to go whenever you are craving a fresh and flavorful Asian fusion type of meal…read more I like sitting on the outside (?) area where it has cute lightings and plants around. The inside area is a bit cramped and doesn't really have a good ambiance. The service at Kei concept restaurants is pretty solid, the workers are very nice and considerate. My favorite dishes are the Asian pear salad and the Lomo saltado fries with filet mignon. I really recommend the pear salad because the arugula, burrata, the dressing with the Korean pear is so refreshing. One downside is that they're a bit too pricey now so I don't go as much as I did before.

Let it be known throughout the realm that I have discovered a tavern of such…read moreexcellence that bards ought compose songs in its honor and kings should send their finest knights to partake in its bounty. From the moment mine companions and I crossed the threshold, we were greeted with warmth and cheer, as though we were cherished guests returning home from a long and weary journey. Upon our departure, the farewells were equally heartfelt, leaving us with the feeling that we had dined not amongst strangers, but amongst dear friends. The atmosphere within was calm and comforting, familiar in a way that soothed the soul. In a world filled with noisy feasting halls and chaotic marketplaces, this establishment stood as a peaceful sanctuary where one might rest and enjoy a most noble meal. The serving folk were nothing short of extraordinary. Attentive without hovering, quick of wit, and brimming with personality, they carried themselves with the sort of genuine hospitality that cannot be taught by any guild or academy. Every interaction felt sincere and full of heart. Now, let us speak of the pan-fried gyoza, for I fear words alone may fail to capture its greatness. These glorious parcels arrived golden and crisp upon the outside, yet tender and delicate within. Each bite tasted as though it had been crafted by hand moments before reaching the table. Were I granted a chest of gold, I would gladly spend it all upon another plate. And lo! The White Peach Seltzer. Good people, I have sampled beverages from many corners of the kingdom, from noble feasts to humble roadside inns, and never in my years have I encountered a seltzer so divine. It was refreshing beyond measure, kissed with the perfect essence of white peach. Had a celestial spring existed in the heavens themselves, I imagine it would taste much the same. Perhaps most admirable of all was the story behind this fine establishment. The keepers spoke of their history and journey with such authenticity and pride that one could not help but feel invested in their success. Nothing felt rehearsed or hollow; their passion was as real as the food upon the table. I departed with a full belly, a joyful heart, and a solemn vow to return many times henceforth. This shall become one of my regular gathering places, and I shall recommend it to all wandering souls seeking comfort, hospitality, and a feast worthy of legend. Five stars. Five crowns. Five royal decrees of approval. "Should destiny guide thee to this ramen house, enter without hesitation. Thy taste buds shall sing songs of victory long after the meal is done."

[Missing noodles, expensive ramen, bad customer service, and no reason to come back.]…read more I visited this restaurant to place a to-go order and picked up my food during a late lunch around 1:40 p.m. I ordered two items, including a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. When I got back to work in Santa Ana and opened my bag around 2:30 p.m., my ramen had NO NOODLES. It was literally just broth and toppings. I called the restaurant expecting a simple apology and a reasonable solution. Instead, the manager would not even speak to me directly and chose to communicate through a waiter the entire time, which made the situation even more frustrating. We went back and forth multiple times with the waiter acting as the middleman. First, they told me I could come back and pick up the missing noodles. That was not realistic. I was already back at work, and it takes me about 25 minutes to get from Fountain Valley to Santa Ana. Driving all the way back for a side of noodles made no sense. So I asked for what seemed like the easiest and most reasonable solution: a complimentary bowl of ramen on my next visit. Instead, I was told no, but they could give me "extra noodles" next time. Extra noodles next time? What exactly was that supposed to do for me when I was sitting there hungry with no actual ramen to eat that day? Then the manager, again through the waiter, said she would personally drive noodles to my job. I even told them that did not make sense because by the time she got there, it would be around 4:30 p.m. At that point, my lunch break would be long over, the ramen would be cold, and all of it would be a waste of my time, her time, restaurant resources, and gas. But I agreed, because at that point it was obvious they really did not want to simply offer me a free bowl of ramen on my next visit. And to be clear, I was not asking for some huge free meal. I was asking to be compensated for the ramen I already paid good money for and did not even receive correctly. For how expensive ramen is, that should not have been a difficult ask. About 10 minutes later, the waiter called back and said the manager would give me a free bowl of ramen next time I came in, which was the exact solution I had suggested from the start. I can only assume she realized how far the drive was and how unnecessary and impractical that solution would have been. Mistakes happen. Forgetting the noodles was one thing. But the way this was handled was unnecessarily difficult, inconvenient, and honestly kind of absurd. I did not ask for a refund. I was looking for an apology and some common-sense customer service. Instead, I got a lot of back-and-forth and a manager who would not even speak to me directly. Kudos to the waiter for doing their best to mediate the situation. Even they thought the situation could of been handled differently by the manager. Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to others based on how this situation was handled.
