Absolutely loved this Vietnamese banh cuon spot! We ordered the bun Bo hue and banh cuon tower with grilled pork and crispy pork. I think we would stick to the grilled pork next time, we liked the lemongrass flavor on it more. The BBH with rib bone was sooo good, their broth was good and we got spicy and it definitely had a kick! I loved the concept of being able to roll our own banh cuons with all the toppings you want. I also rly liked the fish sauce you dip them in, yumm!! Can't wait to come back again, been here twice and loved it both times so far!! Even their drinks are good! The restaurant is right next to the gelato place and service was nice and attentive.
We came back a year later and nothing has changed, which is good. I feel like the steamed rolls are perfect to eat if you want something filling, but not too heavy and light and flavorful. I like the food here and came back 2x during my most recent trip to socal. This time around, when we ordered the steamed rolls (10 plates), we got one protein and added on another protein at an extra charge. We ended up with grilled pork and roasted pork belly. Both tasted great and their nuoc cham/mam is delicious. I was satisfied both times and shared it with another person. Customer service is still excellent, despite them getting really busy on weekends. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first time we went, it was lunch time in the middle of the week so they were not busy at all. The second time, was a weekend and almost all tables were full. They have enough tables to handle the rush.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, I recommend and we'll probably try this place almost Everytime I'm in socal.
So happy I finally got to try this place!! They're right next to the animal gelato place that was once a craze. Parking was easy w/ a fair amount of spaces. Service was prompt; they did mess up on an order but wasn't a super big deal. We got the papaya salad, egg rolls, rice paper plates w/ shrimp/chive/pork belly (#6), vermicelli w/ pork belly (#11), bun bo hue rib bone (#14), & variety of drinks. Everything was delicious!! If you're coming w/ a big group, I'd recommend getting a lil bit of everything: at least #6 & #14 if you're in the mood for broth. My favorite was definitely the rice paper plates; so fun & a great balance of flavors. Very similar overall taste w/ #11; just depends on what texture you like better. The veggies were also excellent condition & the sauce/shallots were addictive. We look forward to trying more of the menu items
Stopped by around 2:30 pm on a Friday for a late lunch with a friend and we were seated immediately. They're known for their house speciality, Bánh Ướt. We ordered the Bánh Ướt Heo Quay (crispy pork belly) which came with 10 rice paper plates topped w/ minced shrimp + chives, veggies, fried shallots, and chili chive dipping sauce ($21.95) and the Bún Bò Huế Bò Bắp Hoa ($16.95). The crispy pork belly was perfectly crispy and tender and the dipping sauce was so good. The broth for the Bún Bò Huế was light yet flavorful and the noodles were perfectly cooked. Would definitely come back!
Restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and plenty of parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant had a few people in it which was nice. We could enjoy our meal and talk to each other without yelling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the specialty crispy pork rice paper tower and it was yummy. Got us full but in a good way not the sluggish way. We also ordered the vermicelli noodle with lemon grass chicken and that was a different texture and good.
It was a fun and delicious experience! For some reason the server didn't want to give us our second tower until we work on the first tower yet other people around us had each of their own towers. We went on a Friday night and there was no line. We each got our own crispy pork. Would definetely go back again when I'm back to SoCal!
Drove here just for the Banh uot tower I saw online, and it did not disappoint. It was so good, and very fun wrapping my own rolls! The veggie sides and pork belly paired perfectly together, especially loved the fish sauce. I could've drenched every roll in it. Banh uot and BBH after rave weekend...everything hit the SPOT! We were a group of 5 very hungry foodies and we shared 2 towers (one pork belly, one cha lua), 4 bowls of beef rib BBH, and 1 banh hoi w/ pork belly. We each had plenty of food and most of us took home leftovers! Love their fish sauce that comes with the tower. The service was friendly and attentive, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the restaurant was clean and never crazy crowded (we were surprised!).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lunchtime on a Sunday was super pleasant here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I just wish I didn't have to drive all the way out to Westminster from LA to come back, because I already want to run it back! Lol Not gonna lie, I was able to kill about 7 plates, my daughter 8 (which is a HUGE wow cuz she's a picky one and hard to plz..so she only eats a lot when she likes something), my son a solid 6 as well and my poor hubs had to finish the rest (9 plates). We were STUFFED! Not to mention, we got a side of egg rolls too. Haha The wait wasn't too bad this time around (we prolly had to wait about 10 mins or so), since we Yelp checked-in prior, on our way there ~ also factoring in that we ate on a weekday around 2ish, but this place can be poppin' busy..so be warned. Love the new foodie go-to option, for when we crave a filling & yummy meal. RxFoodie MUST TRY!!!
Forgive me for not knowing all the names. Everything we had was delicious! The pork belly *was* especially delicious, as the server told us. We had eggrolls, the tiered tower with pork belly x2, the scrambled egg roll thing with pork, and the folded rice noodles with the lemongrass pork. The iced coffee was also good and tasted like it was hand dripped.
Learned about this place on IG and had to check it out. We ordered the Bánh Ướt Heo Quay and Bánh Ướt Thịt Heo Nướng. My favorite was the lemongrass pork. My husband is allergic to shrimp and wanted to try one of them and they were able to accommodate us! The towers are deceptive in that you think you can finish them all by yourself, you can't and that's the best part because I thought they were reasonably priced for the amount of food. The spicy rib bone soup was also great and love that there were different spice levels. It's located in a plaza with lots of parking! Service was quick and while we arrived early, it definitely got busy about 30 minutes later. I put us on the waitlist before we arrived but when we got there, there was no wait. We wanted to split a check but they don't do that. So keep that in mind if you come with multiple people!
Quan Nhii is tucked into the corner of a very busy plaza, so parking can take a bit to find. There's a Yelp waitlist screen at the front; our wait was about 20 minutes on a weekend. The place is very clean, but the service was just okay. Our food and drinks came out fairly quickly, but we sat for over 10 minutes before anyone took our order and had to not very easily flag someone down. It didn't seem like anyone was really monitoring the tables. Their DIY banh cuon (steamed rice paper rolls) is an interactive concept and could be fun if you're new to Vietnamese food. The plain steamed rice papers come in "towers," and you add the vegetables and protein yourself to roll them up. It's nice that you can control the portions and ratios, but doing all the rolling while hangry made me a little antsy. It was overall good, but the proteins weren't exceptional in my opinion. For appetizers, we had the bot chien (fried taro/radish cakes). They were very crispy. The basil fries, however, were barely seasoned with just a few fried basil leaves on top, so there wasn't much basil flavor or aroma. It was interesting to try, but I still prefer the traditional pre-made steamed rice rolls that are more convenient and a bit more satisfying.

During Tet week, I got to visit Garden Grove/Westminster a little more than I typically do. After visiting the Tet festival this year, I stopped by this spot because I wanted to grab something other than the typical Viet stuff. The restaurant is midsize, and there's usually a wait. I did like that they had an online waitlist that you could join before hand. Our table got the eggroll appetizers, banh uot, banh hoi, soda chanh muoi, and the plum soda. The banh uot came out as the tower, and while it looks like it's not filling, it actually is super filling when combined with the side fillings. The banh hoi was also very good, ours was paired with marinated pork. I haven't had banh hoi in ages, so it was nice getting to have it here. The salted sodas were both really tasty. The parking area here is pretty crowded so it could be difficult to get a spot with so many businesses in the plaza. read more

I ordered that rice cake plate tower and got the pork belly. It was fun to create my own little rice cake wraps with the fresh veggies. However, the pork belly was hard and chewy. I thought it would be tender and crispy. Also, there was a young man who came out to serve it to me. He didn't say hello, didn't look at me and looked like he was annoyed. I said thank you and he turned around without acknowledging me. That made me uncomfortable, like I was a bother. Back to the food that I was now uncomfortable eating-the rice cake wraps were fresh. I loved all the veggies. The basil gave great flavor however, honestly everything was a little bland. I understand the fish sauce holds most the seasoning but I wish the pork belly was more flavorful. And the fried, crispy shallots were so hard! They were more than crunchy, they were more like stringy rocks. I was surprised how hard they were. I began to think the meat and the shallots were not prepared fresh, and were likely sitting out and like dried up or something. The last thing is the wraps were slippery and wouldn't close properly. The rice cake didn't stick to itself so they were difficult to hold and dunk into the sauce. Going back for a redunk was almost impossible because the ingredients would fall out into the sauce. I ended up using a spoon to pour the sauce into the wrap, which worked well. It was fun to order that meal, initially. Everything looked beautiful but in the end the flavor wasn't quite there. The hard shallots and chewy pork belly were a let down. The attitude of that young man was uncomfortable. read more

If you're searching for Quan Nhii, you'll find it tucked away in the Bolsa Mini Mall in Westminster. The restaurant is committed to doing one thing and doing it right: making Bánh Ướt (Steamed Rice Rolls)! Their specialty is served in unique, tall towers. How do you enjoy this delicacy? I believe their website captures it best when it says "Wrap! Eat! Stack!" I'd also add a Dip in there because you'll want to dip your wrapped rice rolls in their chive chili fish sauce. We tried their shredded pork meatloaf and soft fried tofu and then later added a side of crispy pork belly. The DIY rice rolls were so uniquely flavorful that we finished two towers and still wanted more. Once you try it, you'll understand why this Vietnamese restaurant is so popular! Loved this place! Fair pricing, quick service and lots of delicious food. This is like build your own spring rolls but instead with rice crepes! Got the pork belly and the lemon grass chicken combo. Revisited after a year and I'm so happy that they updated their menu. They added more offerings on top of their banh uot, which is still a must order for every table. I think the biggest thing going for this place is that it's hard to make Banh uot at home like this unless you have a million plates. Banh uot is Banh cuon's cousin. Instead of having everything pre rolled, you out the fillings in yourself. Not too much meat provided for the price. Lemongrass pork: 8/10. Good Lemongrass chicken: 8/10. Good Crispy pork belly: 5/10. Not that great. Very fatty. No one wanted to finish this one. We did not finish this It was good and probably around the same price you'd pay for Banh cuon, which is to say it feels expensive per piece. You'd need at least 1.5 towers to yourself to feel full. They don't give you more crispy onions or veggies when you order a second round (or maybe they do if you ask?). My pals and I visited this restaurant because one of my friends was craving Bánh Ướt. Which literally translates to "wet cakes." With that description, color me intrigued. She also told me how the dish is served with 10 plates stacked on top of each other. I don't know why but I am a sucker for food with height. We went around 2 pm on a Tuesday and it was quite empty except for one other table when we entered. The restaurant itself had beautiful lighting from the sunlight coming in on the West side. I liked the simple, polished wood feel of the tables and chairs. And there was a picturesque mural of Vietnam on one wall. We started off with the Bánh Bột Chiên, which was so crispy on the outside and satisfyingly soft on the inside. The main stars of the show were the Bánh Ướt Heo Quay (crispy pork belly meat), Bánh Ướt Chay (tofu) and Bánh Hỏi Thịt Gà Nướng (grilled lemon grass chicken). I mixed the meat together in a single wrap and it was so delicious. The sauce that they give you elevates the flavor as well. We cleared all 30 plates like it was nothing. The green thai tea was not too sweet and flavorful as well. Would come back again one day! read more

Tried this place while visiting OC. Conveniently right by Asian Garden Mall, in case you have other errands to run. We came for lunch on a Saturday and while the place was clearly busy, we were seated immediately. Tried out their notable banh lot (like a summer roll), banh hot chicken (cause I was craving it a bit), and a couple of the tea drinks. The service was kind and quick. Overall everything is quintessentially Vietnamese - fresh tasting ingredients, great flavors that blend well together, and tons of greens that sort of let you mix and match your bites. read more

Arrived early after opening.been meaning to try this place for a while. So happy we came! Lunch on a Saturday. Ordered: #6 Banh Uot Heo Quay- with add'l greens & grilled lemongrass chicken. SOOO tasty. Very thin fresh rice papers. Grilled chicken had great flavor. A touch dry since it was the breast, which was ok. Pork belly with crunchy skin-oh yeah, just the right amount of meat to fat ratio. We love greens, so needed another side. #14 Bun Bo Hue Rib bone- 3 very meaty beef ribs. Great tasting broth, fat rice noodles. Ratio of broth, meat & noodles was great. Of course the added veggie accoutrements: bean sprouts, slivered carrot, lime wedges, slivered cucumber, culantro, basil & shiso leaves. Appreciated the shiso which was a first for me at a Viet place. Wait staff was helpful, clean & modern decor Come early or expect a wait. Yelp does offer an advanced wait list option. If you're craving Vietnamese rice rolls, this is the spot to visit! I love the tower concept and getting to wrap the meats and veggies into the rice paper yourself. On our last day in LA, we decided to stop by the Little Saigon area in Westminster to check it out and decided to grab dinner here at Quan Nhii. I've heard about this place before and wanted to give it a shot before heading back home. We ordered the bun bo hue with the beef ribs and the tower of 10 rice wraps with crispy pork belly and a side of lemongrass chicken. The bun bo hue broth was very good and flavorful. The beef rib was good too, but it did not fall off the bone and was not as tender as I had hoped. I knew my daughter would like the idea of wrapping her own rice rolls so this was definitely a hit for us. Everything tasted very good. I felt the pork belly and chicken were both a little dry, but overall, still very good. We had a great experience here and would definitely stop by if in the area again. OVERALL : Been hearng about this place a lot on social media so I was excited to try them out! The main star of this place is the freshly-made banh uot (vietnamese thin rice crepes) that is presented individually on plates that are stacked high on a rack. You choose your protein and it comes with a side of veg and nuoc mam (dipping sauce). We had a party of 5 that was seated immediately. Their menu has a lot of classic vietnamese dishes such as chicken wings, papaya salad, bun bo hue, Bánh Bột Chiên, Bánh Hỏi, as well as Rice and Vernicelli bowls! They also have tons of drinks such as fruit teas, lemonades, and coffee. Service was quick and efficient, and the store itself was clean and casual, perfect for a lunch. PARKING : Ample parking in the plaza on a Sat afternoon! FOOD/DRINKS : Basil Fries - Seasoned french fries topped with basil served with aioli for dipping -- nice shareable side, but not too much of a standout. Bánh Ướt Heo Quay (2 orders) - 10 rice paper plates topped w/ minced shrimp + chives, side of crispy pork belly -- the pork belly was crispy and flavorful, loved the DIY experience of creating my own wraps with the toppings and veg. Bánh Ướt Chả Lụa (2 orders) - 10 rice paper plates topped w/ minced shrimp + chives, side of shredded pork meatloaf -- 10 was plenty! I started getting really full after the 8th one so I think the portion was just right for me. Our travel wives came to town and tried Quan Nhii in Westminster. TFTI lovelies... After hearing about their meals, we couldn't wait and went to the restaurant for lunch. The restaurant specializes in banh uot, which is a Vietnamese dish consisting of thin, steamed rice crepes filled with a savory mixture, typically ground pork and wood ear mushrooms. At Quan Nhii, we tried the crispy pork belly and grilled lemongrass chicken. We also tried their egg rolls and papaya salad. Everything we ordered was good. Both pork and chicken were tasty, we even ordered an extra side of chicken for our meal. We had a really fun time making our own spring rolls. The interesting thing was actually the papaya salad. We had many Thai papaya salads before and never had one at a Vietnamese restaurant. It came with beef jerky and the sauce was more on the savory side (not your usual sweet and spicy). We kind of like it, but couldn't decide if we love it. Overall experience was ok. While the food was good, we had received the authentic Asian service. Nothing was offered, but we would get it if we asked for them. They were not rude, but probably just overworked. With that said, we would still go back again and recommend this spot for everyone. Lastly, you can get on the wait-list from the Yelp app. Don't wait in line for that one person who has been tap tap tap at the tablet for 8 minutes. read more

Unique and fun experience with decent flavors. Came here for the banh hoi around 6pm on a Sunday and it wasn't crowded at all. I would suggest sharing 2 towers among 3 people. We ordered the lemongrass pork and the crispy pork. They come with the typical veggies for spring rolls or banh cuon like bean sprouts, herbs, pickled carrots, and fried shallots. The fish sauce based dipping sauce is bomb but a kinda spicy. You place the pork and the veggies in the rice paper that's already on the plate and roll them up. The whole combination is refreshing and flavorful. I liked the lemongrass pork more than the crispy pork because the lemongrass one was more seasoned. read more

Fire banh uot in OC!!!! I been eyeing this place for a while and I'm glad I tried it. This is a super unique concept since I never seen banh uot eaten this way. There wasnt a wait when I went and the service was quick. I got the heo quay and thit nuong combos which came with 10 banh uot plates, a plate of veggies and fish sauce. Very filling for 3 people. If you wanna try something fun to eat, this might be the place for you! When me and my party walked in, we were greeted and seated almost immediately. That is always a plus in my book. We got their rice rolls with crispy pork belly. It was really tasty and fun to eat. The only thing I didn't like about the dish was the price. The place was clean and the service was great. Food: Bánh Uớt Heo Quay (10/10) - Yummy, flavorful, nicely cooked and crispy pork. Fun adding everything together and wrapping it. Cool display of the dishes. Loved the crispy fried garlic topping and the sauce as well. Bánh Bột Chiên (9/10) - Cripsy, flavorful, nice egg to rice flour cake. Loved it with the sauce and veggies too. Bánh Hỏi Heo Quay (9/10) - Nicely cooked bánh hỏi and crispy pork. I loved eating everything combined together and dipping in sauce too. Service: Decent service! There was no wait when we arrived and they were decently attentive. Ambiance: Regular sized restaurant that is pretty lively and busy! Bright with a colorfully painted wall. Came here an hour before closing on a Monday night and was swayed promptly. Everyone is here for the towers ie the number 1 Bahn Uot. All over social media, this is the item to get and it was great. If you are a party of 2 and are only slight hungry, this should be good. The pork was super crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed a great flavorful punch. I felt great after this because the amount of veggies that you can fit in here coupled with the umamai tasting dipping sauce. Was great. The other item that was recommended was the Bahn Bot Chien. It's fried rice flour cakes with scrambled eggs. Great option to get more carbs in all while be tasty as well. Green Thai tea was alright, nothing crazy special and definitely on the sweeter end. Overall, food here was full of flavor, and left me satisfied. Coupled that with the prices and the clean atmosphere of this place with light wood aesthetic, this place is a win. I wanted to visit Quan Nhii specifically because this famous YouTuber named "Phuc Map" hyped it up on his channel. The service was nice and quick. The inside was a bit modern looking but still average and clean. I got their popular "Bánh Ướt Heo Quay" which includes 10 rice paper plates topped w/ minced shrimp + chives, side of crispy pork beliy ($19.95). The special part about it is that they give you the ingredients and you basically make the roll on your own which is pretty cool. The flavor of everything was just okay to me. Good, but just okay. The pork belly wasn't crispy enough for me, and the portions of the meat and veggies were a bit small for the price in my opinion. I feel like this place was a bit overhyped and overpriced for the quality, but it was still good. read more

It was a really fun experience making your own food with your own preferences on how much you put on each roll. Tried the pork and chicken and they were both delicious but I prefer the chicken a little bit more. The sides completed the dish. Service was fast and direct to the point but still friendly. My only complaint if I had to have one is a bigger table would be nice. 3 of us got the tower and the table was full. Still happy that it was full of delicious food! read more

Tried this place after seeing it on TikTok. We didn't have to wait for a table on a Saturday afternoon, but it definitely got busy after we sat down. We ordered two banh uot towers with crispy pork belly and lemongrass pork. You get 10 plates per tower but the amount of filling that comes with each is not enough. It's $20 a tower and you get just a small bowl of protein and various veggies. The food itself does taste fresh but it didn't feel worth the price. It was fun to try once for the experience but I wouldn't come back. read more

Wow. What a treat! I wanted to order another batch. :) So fun to eat! Thin chewy texture to wrap in the crunchy pork belly. Loved the veggie sides to add to the banh uot wrap. I've never seen a wrap like this before. Unique, creative wrap! Worth the hype! Ambiance -- Your typical Vietnamese aesthetic. Clean tables and restroom! We walked in quickly. The Banh Uot tower is a game changer! It's like a DIY spring roll station but much more elevated ! Even with the restaurant being busy, our "tower" arrived very quickly. I also liked the signature fish sauce. It ties everything together perfectly. It's fun, fast, and fresh. I'll come back to stack more plates next time ! read more

This place had one of the most beautiful spreads in a long time. Some of my favorites were the fried chicken wings and the tower of shrimp rice rolls which we wrapped with crispy pork belly and other vegetables. I really can't wait to come back here as this was an incredible experience overall. This spot is definitely a 'you just have to be there' kind of a place. read more

I like the thin wraps banh uot! I found them to be really filling. They don't travel well so its best to order less and as needed. I would order just one set of ten and then add extra sides of tofu and pork belly. I did not like the lemongrass pork. I would come back again with a group - it's a lot of fun. I also like their variety of drinks especially the mango lychee and strawberry lychee. The bone soup also looked good from the table next to us. I think it can get pretty busy but you can join the yelp waitlist before you get here! read more

The amount of crispy pork belly was really limited and disappointing especially given the cost. Overall, the dish tasted good but not worth the price. I felt I had to ration the pork belly so there was enough to portion across 10 plates. read more

We've been here twice already and they have changed the menu from the first vs. second time we were here. The first time we came - they had an awesome combo option... but that was gone the second time we came. Both times, we brought our friends from out of town (awesome place to bring guests since it's a cool dining experience!). When the food comes out, it might not look like much but you'll get full fast! Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the options on the menu because it's all delicious. Their drinks are refreshing too! Parking can be really challenging in this plaza as the parking spots are really tight. The two times we came, we didn't have to wait long -- but there may be a wait if you go at peak times. Be sure to check Yelp waitlist! read more

Didn't have to wait. -Shaken filet mignon side. 3.25/5 -Crispy pork belly side. 3.75/5 -Banh uot heo quay (crispy pork belly). 4/5 I would come back. Is it the best bang for your buck? My mom saw this place on TikTok so we went to check it out. The menu is straight forward and the food is very very tasty I definitely recommend. We went in the morning right as they opened and had no wait to sit and VERY little wait to receive our food after ordering. Staff was nice and quick which is always a plus! read more

I have a peanut allergy and there were no peanuts in the banh uot with crispy pork belly! i had no issues at all. pretty sure none of them have peanuts but I would always double check with the server to let them know!
