The food contain a lot of MSG make my teeth and throat hurt after eating. My first time visit the store to experience the new style of Bánh Cuốn but I feel very frustrated about the menu and how the staff treat their customers. Paying almost $50 for tiny portion is such a rip off and the food is not even good. I ordered the same dishes which included in their combo. Since I was not familiar with the menu, I was asking them to change my order to combo after ordering but they refused to. They said that you already order so accept it. lol. I was excited to try this place since we typically go to Quan Mii for the Banh Xeo. I ordered the tower with heo quay, which was pretty good. They didn't have any steamed rice dishes (only fried rice). So I ordered a side of grilled pork and asked if I could order a side of steam rice. The server said yes. About 10 min after our food arrived, another server came to say that they don't serve steamed rice, only fried. She said they can't give us the steamed rice since it's used for the fried rice, but we can order fried rice, which we explained that my daughter only likes plain steamed rice, but she was willing to try the fried rice, if there was no other option. So we ordered a whole fried rice entree with chicken. As I thought, she only ate the chicken and picked a little at the rice. All would was good until we got the check, when to my surprise was a charge for a side of steamed white rice. If they don't serve steamed rice, then how did they charge me for it? If they wanted me to just order the fried rice and meat at $16.95 rather me ordering a side of meat ($6.95) and steamed rice ($2.95), then just say so. Today, I brought my family to give it a try since my family really love banh uot, plus we are fans of banh xeo at Quan Mii. We ordered both combos 13 and 14 for 4 people. Banh uot is thin which is great, and I like the stack of Banh uot presentation, but in contrast; i don't like the idea to wrap it either with barehands because it's very oily or using chopsticks to roll it since it felt over the plate. we love the crispy belly pork, and others dishes were okay. We tried 4 drinks which are included in the combos and I personally didn't like it because they're sweet and the taste almost the same. I understood why they charged $48~$50 for each combo since it also comes with 2 drinks. However, I'd rather not having the drinks because I'm not a fan of sweet stuffs but I don't have a choice since it already included in the combo.
