I contacted Kevin (Quantum) as the A/C unit for our main floor wasn't working. He wasn't able to come out immediately and I could hear the conflict in his voice and manner of speech. He wanted to come help me immediately, buy had commitments with other customers. I appreciated his honesty and caring. After scheduling an appointment with him, I had the idea to lookup online if there was anything simple I could do to diagnose it. It turns out that my circuit was tripped (probably related to a recent power outage). It's working now. Kevin really hooked us up. I work in the hvac industry so I know a good price, what a professional does, and what should be included. He hit all the marks. Keep in mind as I am writing this (Summer 2021), there are NATION WIDE equipment shortages, for every brand, every where. At least for now you can expect delays getting equipment. We got an awesome heat pump installed and couldn't be happier. Our Bosch unit was installed and purrs like a kitten. I found Kevin at Quantum (quantumclimatecontrol.com) when dealing with my temperamental old heat pump over a year ago. Kevin was clearly very knowledgeable so when I decided to upgrade to a new heat pump I went to him first. (In past projects at my old job, we would install hundreds of AC units each year.) Kevin offered lots of advice and noted which vents and ducts should change (which he could swap out). He also offered a very cost efficient quote for a quality new system that was superior to other quotes both qualitatively and quantitatively. Kevin was amazing to work with. He was professional in all aspects, moved the project along quickly, and flexible with my work schedule. Kevin always made me feel that my project was the only one he was working on. On the day of switch out, Kevin made everything go like clockwork. He removed my old heat pump, added my new 5-ton Bosch heat pump, swapped out the vents and ducts we agreed to, and wired, installed, and set up my new smart thermostat. It all went very quickly with Kevin, his small install team, the crane operator, and the delivery/cart-away truck driver. In a few hours, I was left with a brand new system, better-looking and better-operating vents, and a thoroughly cleaned up home, roof, and yard. Kevin even offered some recommendations on future work that could be done at my house not technically related to the heat pump. He also followed up weeks later to make sure things were fine. This heat pump change out was done in 2022, but I just noticed that I did not review Kevin's work here at that time. Especially after this hot summer of 2023, I am still very happy that I chose Kevin (Quantum) to do my heat pump swap-out and the associated upgrades to my cooling/heating system. read more

We were referred to Kevin through a friend that had recently used Quantum. He didn't disappoint! He took the time to go through all of our new AC unit options as well as the current available SRP rebates. His crew was on time and finished the job early. Kevin then took the time to walk us through how the new unit worked, the thermostat settings and how to apply for the rebate. Finding businesses that value their clients is unfortunately becoming more rare. Kevin was an amazing contractor to work with! I had 2 heat pumps installed outside, 2 air handlers installed inside, and a brand new wifi thermostat over two years, all through Kevin at Quantum Climate Control. I did the upstairs unit one summer and the downstairs unit the next summer. Kevin gave me multiple options, explained the pros and cons of all and then let me decide. Low key, no pressure, and he never once tried to change the pricing or nickel and dime me. He submitted the warranties for me, emailed me copies of them, etc. He did every single thing he said that he would and always showed up on time. Undoubtedly, the best contractor I have hired. Kevin actually saved me from certain disaster. I had some cold and damp tiles on my bathroom floor and I assumed it was a leak under the floor. I had a plumber come out and he gave me two options, tear up the floor to fix the leak or cut through tons of drywall to run new pipes. This was right about the time I was considering my downstairs unit so I called Kevin to tell him I had to cancel the unit because I had some major expense in the works to fix a leak in my bathroom. Kevin advised me that the plumbers assessment didn't sound right so he came out and took a look. Turns out my old heat pump had developed a Freon leak which was causing my lines to freeze over. He did some troubleshooting and was able to confirm the Freon leak was the cause of the damp, cold feeling on my bathroom tiles. With that said, I moved forward with replacing the unit and it fixed the problem. I can't even imagine if I had ripped up my bathroom chasing some phantom leak!! That was just crazy, lucky timing for me. So glad Kevin knows what he is doing! We had Quantum perform a checkup on our system and are extremely satisfied with the service received. They arrived exactly when they said they would and got it taken care of. We had been told in the past by several other companies that there was an issue that needed to be fixed and would be fairly expensive. Kevin checked it out and dispelled that. I had a really expensive quote from another AC company for a massive rip-and-repair of existing ductwork and an old AC unit, so I wanted a second opinion. Kevin was prompt, professional, and smartly suggested just replacing some crushed ducts to fix the hot rooms before doing anything else. Doing incremental work to see how much it helps before the massive repairs was appreciated and much more cost effective. Our air conditioner stopped working right before we were heading out of town. When we got back to town we called 3 different companies to get a quote - all with very high yelp ratings. I have dealt with a lot of AC technicians over the years as I have nursed along my old Goodman units, and I finally reached a point where it was time to replace the worst of the 2 as funds would not permit a full replacement of both. I found Quantum's address as being local to me and Kevin the owner came out same day to quote me a price. On first meeting him he handed me a business card, shook my hand, and introduced himself - the first sign of a professional. I explained that I wanted a replacement quote, but instead of going into hard-sell mode (which is what I am used to) he asked if a repair was an option - and proceeded to inspect the unit and climb up into my attic. Identifying that my unit was low on R22 even though it had only been refilled a week ago he offered to refill it, I declined as obviously there was a leak but Kevin offered to put some recycled R22 in there to keep me going over the weekend - for FREE, and R22 is anywhere up to a hundred dollars a pound right now. After all of this he never asked for a penny and had my new system quote with me just 2 hours later. You simply do not find AC technicians like this in the valley - even the good ones are not THIS good. Kevin is quite exceptional. I have lived here for 15 years and this is the first positive AC technician review I have posted, ever. Kevin did a fantastic job installing a complete new air-conditioning system for me in the middle of summer in fact on the Fourth of July holiday 2015. I was fortunate enough to have a good friend that I've been swimming with for seven years and her husband is pretty good at fixing things but he took a look at my air conditioning and said you need my guy to take a look at this and see what needs to be done. He sent over Kevin who took a quick look and said that my compressor was broken. He said other than that and the air-conditioner was in good shape and was actually only 10 years old which apparently is a baby in Arizona. I asked Kevin how much it would cost to replace the compressor and give my system a good service. Kevin said it would be $2000. It would be more expensive because I had been running the AC thinking if I ran it, somehow it might magically repair itself. Then I asked Kevin how much it would be to get a fuel-efficient up-to-date modern new air-conditioner. Kevin informed me that he could put in a complete new system that would run economically and be eco-friendly for around 4 1/2 thousand dollars. That price would include all his labor. No-brainer of course I would go for a complete new system it seemed incredibly reasonable. And also informed me that by 2020 all systems would have to be compliant and my system used Freon and new systems in 2020 would no longer be using Freon although if they were an old system and you had a stockpile of Freon you could use it. I care a lot about the environment and in all cases I prefer to use environmentally sound products. Kevin had to special order my new AC unit and in the meantime I purchased a freestanding unit and spent the next few days in my bedroom trying to stay cool. Once my new unit arrived Kevin worked extremely hard to install the new system starting first thing in the morning and working outside and tremendous heat until it was dark. Took Kevin to full days to install the new system but once it was up and running and it was an incredibly smooth and quiet system and I was amazed at how efficient it was. I have always been economical and using my air conditioning since I live alone in a house that is two stories. I had my way I would have individual unit air conditioning her room as I think central air-conditioning is such a waste for a single person living alone. Sadly the homeowners association will not allow us to have individual units as they say it is unattractive to have units showing in the windows it's perfectly ridiculous. So I have to cool my entire house which to me seems great waste of resources in these days when we are wasting precious energy and polluting our environment. However my new air-conditioning system is so efficient and powerful that within an hour of turning it on my house seems very cool where is the older system would take 4 to 5 hours to cool down the house. Send noticed that my electricity bills are much lower now with this efficient new system I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone who is looking for an honest hard-working and very pleasant man who really knows what he is talking about as far as all aspects of air conditioning are concerned. Kevin is hard-working and diligent and will give you an extremely valuable and efficient service. When I turned on my air conditioning for the first time this year it came on and was very smooth and cool. I did have one blimp when somehow the air handler got flipped off and I had not realized it but Kevin came over at the drop of a hat and switch the switch back on and everything is running smoothly again. read more
