Apple Pie Vegan Pancakes, Scrambled Tofu, Tempeh Bacon

Amazing! Dined here for a solo birthday breakfast, and each part of this meal was perfect. The apple pie pancakes were so warm and well-portioned, the scrambled tofu was packed with texture and the tempeh bacon was shockingly flavorful. The environment was also so calming and delightful.

Wow! We found this place as a last-minute dinner stop after spending the evening shopping in the area. The menu looked great, especially since it is FILLED with many vegan and vegetarian options, so we decided to give it a try. First of all, this place is so quaint and cute! It's small, but feels cozy. Eclectic decor and sweet, soothing music. Overall great vibes! My husband and I ordered the Crispy Honey Garlic BBQ Buns, the Vegan Buffalo Wild Wings and the Blackout Chocolate Mouse Cake to share (all of which are vegan). EVERYTHING we ordered was absolutely delicious! The buns were a satisfying combination of crunchy and soft with a savory flavor. And vegan wings had a "bone" in them!!! The "bone" was a wooden skewer, but it simulated what a bone-in chicken wing would be like...except no meat involved. Such a wonderful treat for us as we used to love eating wings before we gave up meat. The flavor was also delectable! The cake was (dare I say) moist, saucy and decadent. We ate every last bite, including the berries that were plated next to it, in record-breaking time. Lastly, the service was impeccable! Our water glasses never went less than half full. I dirtied up my napkin from the wings (whoops!) and sometime between taking the old plates and bringing out the dessert plate my napkin was magically switched with a fresh one. These are just a few of the ways that our server made sure to take care of us. We will DEFINITELY be back! Especially when we're craving some wings.

Cute spot with great music and food! Went with three in our lunch date. I had the tofu curry stew and it was amazing! The tofu, carrots, coconut milk and other seasonings were perfectly blended for a complete meal. The lentil rice was the perfect side to accompany this stew. One friend had the salmon with garlic, brown rice and veggies. The loved it all! The friend that suggested it ha the Katzu chicken with a side salad and they were pleased with everything that they have eaten from here. On a winter's day we all opted for the hot green tea. They also do have beer, wine and prosecco available! I WILL return!

We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and the price of the lunch specials. $15. Wow! I will be back to try a few vegan options soon and will add to this review. The owner is a sweetheart

    Vegan Brunch!

Beautiful, flavorful food, served with mellow cheer in a warm and cozy space. Just a wonderful place with lovely service. Both I & my vegan wife leave cooing and happy every time! Too many excellent items to name everything, so will cite their brunch & desserts in particular as knock-your-socks-off fabulous. Huge, fluffy pancakes, any number of different combinations meats & eggs (farm or vegan), and a rotating list of seasonal specialties for desserts - pies to tarts to all sorts of other goodies. (the fall pumpkin specialties are particular faves!). Has also been a go-to for "occasion" dinners, & the occasional casual night out. Give Quantum Leap a try, and see if it doesn't become a favorite of your own. Cheers!

Probably the best sweet potato fries in NYC, and the best fish tacos we have had Anywhere, Ever. My kid loved the vegan hot dog too, so they have got things figured out here. On suggestion: for the chocolate bean butter shake, substitute a frozen ripe banana for the ice chunks. Ice was clogging the straws

Sad sad reason for visiting, but the food warmed our hearts. Was looking for a vegetarian place while my dog was in the ICU at AMC. It was a short walk in the rain, but the food was amazing. I had the satay skewers plate which tasted just like chicken satay. The sauce was divine, and it was very filling. Steamed vegetables were great too. Partner had the happy Buddha bowl and he devoured the whole thing. He's not vegetarian, and still loved the fried tempeh. Would definitely stop here again if I was in the area.

We came here for dinner the other day and this place was a great find! I really loved this place. The interior is small, so it isn't the best for large groups. However, they can still accommodate groups of 6-8 people. The menu is very vegetarian friendly and the food is fantastic. You won't miss the meat at all. Some of our favorite dishes: Philadelphia Cheese"steak" - not quite as savory as traditional cheesesteak. There is a sweeter BBQ component mixed into this. All in all divine Summer Rolls - amazing, fresh and ready for the summer. The lychee lemonade was also incredible! IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

I accidentally found this gem. This place is small if you blink you might miss it and that would be unfortunate. It has that nice comfy home feeling. Service is prompt and the servicer was very friendly. The food was absolutely delicious. As you can see, I started eating the dessert before I took the picture. I was almost finished before I realize I hadn't taken a picture. Will revisit.

Quantum loop is an incredibly delicious plant- based restaurant that feeds both the hunger and soul. The restaurant owner is kind, comforting, and insightful, reflecting the passion she has in her food. We can't wait to come back again soon to try the rest of the menu!

The bowls are pretty substantive and they have lighter starters/sides too for those who just want to dabble. You can choose one of their signature bowls (the Tibetan Mama, with its satisfying curry base, comes highly recommended), or build your own from a lineup of bases, sauces, toppings, dressings and garnishes. The food tastes fresh and clean, and I include this place in my rotation of healthy quick salad/bowl/vegetarian meal options in the neighborhood. I love that they have raw vegan treats, an increasingly rare find since several of my favorite raw vegan spots in the city closed down over the years. I'll admit I was first lured in by the antiquey aesthetic and the colorful vintage florals, but the food and environment are both very pleasurable.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. Beyond Sushi was in Midtown near where I was staying, so I ended up coming here---on Valentine's Day, which happened to be a mistake! Since I didn't have a reservation, the lady who checked me in told me I had to find a seat at the bar. Her attitude was not the best, as when I looked over the menu and made a decision on what I wanted to get, she dismissed me when I waved her over, saying she is not the person taking orders. Um, okay? Then who is? One guy at the bar was nicer, and was able to take my order. I started off with a hot tea since NYC was cold in February, and then decided to have as much as I could of two dishes---the "chicken" yakitori skewers and the Korean BBQ skillet. The skewers came in a set of two, with a white mayo-like sauce drizzle and pickled cucumber on the side. Super delectable, though very filling because of the protein! The skillet was made with classic Chunk Foods protein, the go-to plant-based option for all the meat dishes at City Roots restaurants as far as I know. This was incredibly filling, but the sauce and the texture were all around delicious as well. I could NOT bother to finish the brussels sprouts the skillet came with---way too much to stomach, and I was going to focus on the "meats" since I can always have brussels any other time! The bill by the end of it was PRICEY. That's why I only go to one of these restaurants as a special treat when I visit NYC. Watch out if you order hot tea...$13!! I guess that's the NYC way, but still!
