Best chips and salsa but every time we go we have to wait for the salsa to be refilled we figure to just give us two. Every time I go I always get the salad with chicken it's honestly amazing. So I would highly recommend that! And the service is always very nice and friendly. read more

Finally tried Que Pasa and it was Great! The service was exceptional; even the dining manager visited tables. My beau and I thought the menu was very interesting and dinner was delicious. Ate here 2 wks ago. Went for happy hr. The place was super packed so we opted for a table, and ordered dinner and drinks. Wait staff was prompt and friendly. Manager was great, gave happy hr price for drinks because we arrived in time but had to wait over 20min, then there was still no room in the bar area. The margaritas were tasty! Had it on the rocks with salt. My husband ordered the grilled chicken burrito supreme that had corn salsa which was fresh and delicious. I'm giving them 3 stars because I ordered the nachos. Which were like disgusting tasteless slop! So sad everyone said they were really good. :/ first of all there were hardly any beans on it at all, had to look for it. Went here on Saturday for lunch..service started off slow but the manager jumped in and saved the day. She totally took care of us and it ended up being a really great dining experience. I had never heard of QP before, but 5 of us stumbled in for lunch today on our way back from Arroyo Grande. At first service was pleasant but a bit slow. Food arrived and was very good for all of us. Service got much better and being that we were in a hurry, we were well taken care of. If you are ever looking to expand, come to Clovis or Fresno. What an unorganized staff. Stood for 15 mins while they tried to find my pre ordered taco tray. I watched 2 different parties get ignored and leave with out anyone saying a word to them. I have been here twice. Once with my parents and once with my boyfriend. Both times the food has been great. The first time I got the shrimp fajita and I was on crutches because I had a broken ankle. the hostess was nice and very accommodating. It was a packed night, and the server it was only her second night there had accidentally made a new pot tea not coffee for my parents. Service was prompt. For the second night I had the shrimp taco which was really good. The beans and rice where your normal beans and rice from other Mexican restaurants. We have eaten dinner here 4x and have had great service and their food has always been good. The only place around who can make a descent margarita I rate this restaurant a 4 star. We have been there 3 times now. First time, horrible service. The restaurant was only a month old and it was busy, understandable. The second time, not so busy, service again horrible and one of our kids didnt like his dinner. The manager happened by and asked if he liked his dinner. He said no. We believe jokingly he said, if you dont eat the dinner I will be firing the cook. Our kid took it serious so he ate the dinner. We of course didnt know till after the meal. Today was the 3rd time. Traveling back to Northern Calif. from Santa Barbara - we decided to stop for lunch and randomly came across Que Pasa Mexican Cafe in Atascadero. What a nice surprise! We sat outside under an umbrella and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Other customers were in the bar area enjoying the game and the lively atmosphere in there or in the charming indoor seating area. The food was delicious and authentic Mexican - and I have to say that our server, Oscar, was really fantastic. I have a couple of food allergies - and he went above and beyond to make sure what I ordered was safe for me - and suggested tweaks to my order that worked perfectly. This place is a keeper! Great Mexican food with a bit of a new aged twist. They have quite the select of drinks and tequilas. The food is always good and I have never had any issues with an order. The cons are that they don't take reservations (or at leader didn't the last time I checked) and the place is impossible to get seated at on Friday, Saturday nights with the theatre next door! But the atmosphere is great and we always sit on the bar side so we can watch the games and sit at a high table. I can be difficult to bring in large parties or get seats on the weekend during the evening but it is overall a great addition to the downtown plaza area! read more

A group of us (8) were there Friday evening. The hostess acknowledged the guy (party of 10) who came in after us and seated his party almost immediately (without a reservation). We were kept waiting over 30 minutes before being seated. Even after we told the hostess several times we would be willing to be broken up into two parties of 4. Multiple parties of 3-4 were seated before us. The service was horrible and the food terrible. Chips were cold and hard, tacos were soggy, tasteless food. My husband and I stopped in for a bite after taking in a movie at the Galaxy next door. Our meal was decent but the exception was the amazing server named GABE P. This young man was spot on. He was not only polite and attentive but brought water, extra napkins without us even needing to ask. We dine out a great deal and I have to say that Gabe is one of the best servers we have ever had. Food was good. Service was extremely horrible! Waitress name was Julie. She asked everyone at our table what we wanted to drink except for my friend. So I asked her if she was going to be taking my friend's drink order.. which she finally did. We both ordered the same margarita with sugar on the rim, both were brought to us without. The guy who brought them out kind of looked annoyed that we sent them back to be made how we ordered. Then, Julie returned and got everyone's food order...except for mine. Didn't ask me, just walked away. Seriously? So when she returns to the table, I ask her why she never asked for my order. She thought she had. Really? No. I'm the last person sitting at the table. You asked my friend who sat right across from me. Then I get my bill and wasn't given an option for a tip. She automatically charged me 20% for a tip, when she didn't deserve one in the first place! We used to love this place but after our last visit- we're done. We went for dinner with my parents and were seated in the bar(we weren't asked where we wanted to sit, just placed there). It's great for what it is, and you know what to expect. It's a chain restaurant. It's not authentic. It's not a cheap hole-in-the-wall. We went in with our 15 month old. Everyone was nice and didn't act like they were annoyed that he was with us. He even ate some rice and dropped it on the floor but the floor staff said it was no big deal. My experience at Que Pasa last night was VERY disappointing. There was an obvious misunderstanding regarding the cost of soda water. We had, in the past, ordered soda water from the tap and were not charged for it. When the bill arrived we were charged for two "Sierra Mist @ $2.75 each". I brought this error to the attention of our waitress, Maria, that we had ordered soda water and not Sierra Mist. In a rude manner she said " I know, we always charge for soda water". I informed her that we had never been charged in the past. She was extremely loud and rude, and continued to argue the point finishing with "I'll just get the manager". Omar, the manager, arrived at our table and proceeded to explain that they have always charged for soda water. He was also very rude which surprised us coming from the manager of the restaurant. We paid our bill, IN FULL, left a one cent tip (which is all we felt the service was worth) and exited the restaurant. We were talking outside of the restaurant, when suddenly the waitress opened the door, shouted angrily "you forgot your change" and THREW the penny at us and hit a person in our party in the back of the head. My husband and I decided to try this place even though we were a little reluctant because of the reviews. Boy was that a mistake. Worst food I have EVER had. I got 2 enchiladas and beans and rice. It took 40 minutes to get our food. STONE cold, so I sent it back. Came out a few minutes later, Plate was hot, food was STONE cold. Sent it back again. Came back again STONE cold. And mind you it is the same food after sending it back twice. They said it wasn't microwaved, But I think that is a lie. After warming up my food twice, my husband sent it back again and asked for a whole new plate. That came out luke warm, and by this time I was starving so I ate the enchiladas that were mushy. We were charged 30.00 dollars for this nasty food. And the manager did NOTHING to comp us or fix the problem. We spoke to him after we were done and all he said was "maybe we need a new cook" People if you read this review don't do what I did. STAY away from this so called restaurant. I just went back and read some of the other reviews and when a restaurant doesn't comp someone on there check after finding hair in there food you need to run away from this restaurant. Mediocre food and beverage...horrible customer service! Went in for drinks and some food before a movie. After ordering our first round we had friends join so we moved to a different table. We ordered two pork tacos and a couple signature cocktails that were each over ten dollars. Over thirty minutes later we still had no food, our drinks were finished and our movie was about to start. We did not have a waiter in our vicinity for quite some time so I got up to ask someone for our bill. I told them to forget the food and we will just pay for our drinks. They said the food was ready so I tell them we will take it. I tell them exactly everything we ordered and needed to pay for. We pay our bill and on the way out we are told we still had two happy hour house margaritas we didn't pay for. I told our server EXACTLY what we ordered and he messed up! Not my fault! And the two happy hour tacos that took over a half hour to pull off a hot cart should never of ended up on my bill! I pay the second bill after trying to explain to the manager I thought I told the server what we had on our bill and we paid it. The manager did not seem to understand what I was saying and I couldn't really understand what he was saying. Never go to one of these crappy chain restaurants!!!! read more
