Today is the last day they're open before they move to their new location. Glad we got to try it one last time. We hung out in the outdoor space and it was nice and pretty
Food was exceptional and beautifully presented. I visited with a friend who I haven't seen for ages. Atmosphere is great for a casual date. Everything we ordered was sour, which is great! I like the noodles more than papaya salad though. Mango is ok. Sticky rice i didn't enjoy as much~ the dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste because of the sauce. Usually sticky rice's sauce has a touch of saltiness to it, but this one is plain sweet. But no wait time and we found parking right outside so it's still great experience
Wowwww! Ok, I'm a fan! My brother recommended this spot and it truly felt like a hidden gem. When I heard we were going to a restaurant in West Hollywood, I expected it to be in the in the very busy area that's hard to find parking. This place is blocks away in a quieter part of the city and coming during the week proved to be easy parking as surrounding businesses are closed by then. The ambiance is wonderful! Everything is purple. :) Outdoor dining on a charming patio paired with fantastic dishes, presentation and service with a total win. This place is an experience and vibe was on point. We shared several dishes, starting with the sampler. Everything was tasty and delicious. Of course we over ordered, but the leftovers heated up really well. Price point was a bit high, however, as mentioned before, it's an experience and with that in mind I think it's 100% worth it. I know i'll be back!
Ube pancakes: 3.5/5 couldn't really taste any ube. pancakes were a bit dry. Noticed I was adding a little more whipped cream and their house Ube syrup more than I normally would since pancake was on the dryer end. Overall just tasted like regular pancakes, but bled beautifully. Lobster tom yum noodle: 5/5 SO! GOOD! this dish was exceedingly good. I would go back to this restaurant just for this dish. Strong tummy on flavor and noodle noodles were cooked al dente. Wish I knew which noodles they used because I want to replicate. Never understood why people would say. They still dream about a dish, but I can finally relate. Yes this dish is that good and very reasonably priced. Lobster on WEHO for about $32? Why tf not Thai iced coffee: 3/5 too sweet and didn't taste any Thai tea? If you like Vietnamese coffee this is exactly what it tasted like. Ambiance lots of fake flowers very WEHO, almost always sunny outside seating. No wait on a Saturday morning brunch. Servers were very helpful and kind. I would come back, especially to try more savory and Thai dishes. I wouldn't let the pancakes deter you from trying this place.
Extremely expensive or I would go back more often. The bathroom is dirty and it doesn't work well and the soap is hot pink. Outside there is a speaker that is playing only treble and sounds completely off and is playing a repetitive like a broken record over and over again and is extremely obnoxious and too loud. Really ruins the vibe.
Overall: 5 stars Very captivating Thai restaurant filled with interesting creations taking inspiration from southeast Asian flavors that I want to try. Went for some reasonably priced classics and really enjoyed it. (Lobster Pad Thai: A) - Impressively tender lobster packed with that residual tamarind glaze and additional salt and pepper. The Pad Thai separately tastes great with that addictingly sweet, acidic, and savory tamarind palm sugar sauce. I found that there was a lot of egg in the noodles, and for it to be on the sweeter side, but nevertheless a sumptuous dish. (Mango Sticky Rice: A) - A rarity to find ripe and reasonably flavored mangoes in february but this dish was quite nice. This was a large portion, though I later found out it was a serving for two, which made sense because it eats like a full meal. This Thai-skewing Asian Fusion place is super convenient but damn is it disappointing. The coconut soup starts flavorfully but its watery broth is its downfall. Could've used more lemongrass, and the chicken was way overdone. The husband's shrimp looked cooked well. Orange chicken teases w a suggestion of spice, but def falls flat. Nicely breaded tho. The Hong Kong noodles over promised and under delivered. They forgot to put in the tempura mushrooms. Once delivered, the mushrooms themselves were pretty good, but were overpowered by the bottled sweet sauce they accompanied. The extra star is for convenience, really. It's cute, and they're dog friendly, but I expect more. Do better.
After getting completely turned away by The Front Yard, Queen Violet totally saved the night for my birthday celebration! We had a large party of 9, and they accommodated us immediately without a single complaint. As you can see, the vibes here are incredibly cute and floral. The drinks were presented gorgeously, and the food was delicious. I ordered the "Magic Noodles," and watching them change color from blue to purple was such a fun experience! Our waiter was so nice and sweet enough to bring out a slice of cheesecake for my birthday. To top it all off, the bill was incredibly reasonable--even with the service charge added, it came out to under $400 for food and drinks for all 9 of us. Highly recommend this spot for group dinners and birthdays!
I'm always wary of "aesthetic" restaurants with floral walls and neon signs since typically in those cases it's usually a trade off between menu quality and decor. However, happy to report that that wasn't the case here! Queen Violet is a super cute, adorably decorated restaurant with a really excellent menu. I've been here twice and was pleased both times. On my second visit, we had the scallops to start which were a bit small for the price but delicious. For our main course, most of my table had the Lobster Tomyum which was sooooo good. The tomyum sauce was creamy and the lobster tail was cooked perfectly. Literally wanted to lick the plate. To drink, I had the Peach Mojito which was ok. Wouldn't necessarily order again, but the presentation of the drinks in a little tower was just so cute so wasn't mad at it. Service was nice and pretty quick as well.
Beautiful patio. Great vibes. Pho was great. Will be back to try the other dishes. Friendly great service.
Terrific Asian-fusion restaurant located in the heart of Weho. Customer service was top notch. Our server was awesome, and recommended all great options. Food wise, I'd definitely go with the garlic fried rice, scallops, and lobster pasta. The lobster pasta was unlike anything I've ever had; I really liked it! They have a good happy hour menu too.
This place is gorgeous! From the stunning florals and garden decor, tot he cute drinks and food plating. Everything tasted so good too! I was alittle shocked that it was so empty when we went (brunch time on a sunny Sunday day!) the staff was super sweet. They did forget party of our order but by the time they checked back in we were so full we couldn't even stomach another plate. Drinks were yummy too! The menu is alittle chaotic. I think they'd do great to trim some items off the menu and stick to their staples.
Their noodles were too chewy and almost undercooked! But the prawns were great. I got the Jade Margarita and it was terrible! It looked like Shrek's drink. I would get a different drink if I got to choose again! That should not have been offered on the menu. This place is cute outdoors, but a bit pricey! Only street parking is available. They were so slow to bring out food out though.

The food tasted delicious. I had the pink lemonade, spicy edamame, pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. My friends ordered their food and I got to try some of it and it tasted delicious! There was one server helping the whole restaurant. Luckily the location was super full, so service was good :) he made some recommendations for items. The place was very cute and had a few spots for taking cute pictures. Only issue is that if people are sitting at the tables by them, you're in their space. Lucky us no one was sitting by the cute purple wall though! They had some music playing in the background as well. Bathroom could use a touch up, not what I expected for this place. But it's still fine to use. read more

I visited this restaurant while passing through the city. I feel deeply offended and annoyed by the lack of customer service. Before recounting my experience, I must mention that I was the only customer in the place. To start, I ordered a dish that arrived extremely salty. They exchanged it for "Campau chicken," but what they brought out was a failed attempt at the dish--basically orange chicken--which was also salty. I had to ask for plenty of lemon just to counteract the excess salt. I also ordered hot water, but the cup arrived stained. Furthermore, the waiter barely attended to me; he approached only twice, and the last time was after I had already finished. He walked past me five times without once looking at me or asking if I needed anything. Yet, once I had finished and another couple arrived, he served them wonderfully. You know something, Reina Violeta? My money has value, but your reputation is devalued because of your terrible customer service. Never tried to be nice on the end of your service, make your tips from the beginning. read more

I came to Queen Violet with a group and overall had a really lovely experience. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, and they were delicious--fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. Around the table we also tried the French toast, the berry pancakes, and the Thai omelette with crab, and everything was genuinely yummy. Great menu for sharing and tasting a little of everything. We sat outside in the courtyard area, which was such a cute vibe. The entire space is very violet-themed and aesthetically pleasing, with lots of fun photo opportunities throughout--definitely an Instagram-friendly spot. One thing to note: while it looked like they had great coffee options, we were told they were only serving black coffee that day, so we didn't get to try any of the specialty drinks, which was a little disappointing. Service overall was fine--nothing particularly memorable--but when we were leaving, one of the women working there kindly took some great photos of our group, which was a really nice touch and ended the visit on a positive note. Overall, a fun and stylish brunch spot with tasty food, a beautiful setting, and great photo ops. read more

We had a wonderful experience at Queen Violet! The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying a meal with family or friends. The Chinese-Thai fusion menu was unique, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The steak appetizer was incredibly tender with just the right amount of spice, and the waffles with fresh berries were delicious. Every dish looked as good as it tasted. A special thank you to Cesar, our waiter, who made the experience even better. He was attentive, friendly, polite, and checked on us throughout our meal without ever making us feel rushed. Great service like his really stands out. The entire staff was welcoming, and you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We left happy, full, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend Queen Violet if you're looking for great food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere! read more
Queen Violet has been on my Yelp list for a while--I'm thrilled I finally got to visit this week! As I imagined in the pictures, the interior design is strongly floral, girly, colorful, and romantic. Inside, there's an intimate setting with dim lights, plenty of table, and a gentle ambiance with privacy. Service is incredibly amicable and fast! We got our water glasses filled often, orders taken early (though to be fair, we came right before dinner rush), and our food arrived only 10-15 minutes after we ordered. We both had the red curry with shrimp and chicken as well as the tuna tartare! We loved everything and found our food satisfying, warm, flavorful, and comforting. I drank the curry broth like no other. Will gladly be back but I want to try their brunch menu! The magic noodles, crab omelette, and mango sticky rice looked fantastic! read more

I went to Queen Violet and had their Thai tea coffee and it was good! It's definitely strong so if you like a strong coffee this is for you. The service was good. I was helped quickly and my drink came out fast. The ambience is great. As you can see, they have a very aesthetic wall to take pictures in front of, they also have a fountain, and eating there is kind of like eating in a garden. read more

I am obsessed with their coconut chicken soup it's so healing and delicious. I always get udon noodles added to it. Their food happy hour is also great, I highly recommend the scallops and empanadas. Staff is friendly as well. read more

The most charming and warm space with tons of photo opportunities. Happened upon it while walking to breakfast and came back for an early dinner. Had the magic noodles which were way too spicy for me to eat. The grilled shrimp were delicious. Hostess was an absolute delight. read more
Met up with my family visiting from New York for lunch and we had a really nice time! The ambience was pleasant, and my nieces loved taking photos and selfies for IG. The food was decent overall, though I wouldn't say it was the most authentic Thai cuisine I've had. There was only one server for the entire restaurant, so service was quite slow. Good thing we weren't in a rush. However, every time we needed something, we had to get up and go inside to get her attention, which was a bit inconvenient. Parking can also be tricky. There's a small lot, but it's easy to miss since there's no visible sign. If that fills up, finding street parking can be a challenge. Overall, it was a decent experience and I'd go back again with my family. I just wish the service was a little faster. read more

Food: we ordered THAI OMELETTE , LOBSTER PASTA , MANGO&STICKY RICE , THAI COFFEE , all beautiful and unique presentation of the dishes , tasty and delicious but the portions was a little small for the price. Service: Super friendly and knowledgeable. The staff girl took the time to tell us about the restaurant and walked us through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations . The atmosphere : was gorgeous quite welcoming and nice on a summer day as the decorations has a fairy-like vibe to them with flowers and plants surrounding the place. We dinned here on a whim and it was beyond magical. Cesar greeted us and was a wonderful and attentive host, shared his favorite suggestions. The food was delicious and the drinks were excellent, exactly what the doctor ordered. All within an enchanting patio, covered by flowers and a stunning water fountain. I was looking for a place to have brunch with a group of 4 that had both savory and sweet options and this place has that on their menu. I was also intrigued by the purple decor and the aesthetic from the pictures but honestly it looks so gorgeous in person even as you walk up to the restaurant. They have seating inside and outside and a variety of flower walls and decor that does the queen and bee theme. I would say the service was a little slower than I would like but we offered grace because it was packed including multiple larger groups and they apologized. Additionally, there was so much detail in the presentation even with drinks that weren't alcoholic (wasn't expecting it). Really though the reason why I am coming back and giving them high reviews is the food. Everything I had was tasty and even the things I couldn't eat, the people who I was with who did enjoyed in and I had no leftovers to take with me Highly recommend and look forward to my return! read more
Had a delicious meal here, caught up with friends, and had excellent service from the lovely Earlgrey host. The window seat was perfectly comfortable as was the food perfectly spiced and warm for our rainy day. As you can see from my entrance pic, Queen Violet is a visual stunner - a true showstopper. The design is elegant and whimsical. We opted for lunch on the patio, and while the street was hot, the patio remained cool and inviting. Speaking of inviting, the table setting (see my pic) was both stylish and serene, with a light scent of lavender that lingered delicately without overpowering the meal. We shared our lunch family style, starting with the Pad See Ew with beef. The beef medallions were tender, adding richness and a depth of flavor that played beautifully with the soy-slicked rice noodles. The noodles were soft and satisfying, while the crisp vegetables offered a welcome contrast in texture. Next came the Crab Fried Rice, which was impressively light. It featured delicate blue crab folded into perfectly scrambled eggs and fluffy brown rice. The overall flavor was subtle but well-balanced, especially when paired with the house sauces - one a bright, tangy chili pepper and the other a savory soy-based sauce (see my pic). These provided just the right punch to elevate the dish. We finished with the Holy Basil (see my pic). Generous portions of flavorful ground wagyu were paired with rough-cut vegetables and vibrant Thai basil. The beef was rich and tender, with the basil offering fragrance and spice without overpowering the dish. The vegetables remained crunchy, adding both texture and a fresh edge. read more

When you arrive at this venue, it's like you've entered a flowered oasis with twinkle lights, plants, and umbrellas. It gives off a very tranquil and relaxing vibe. Lots of photo ops. The waitstaff was very polite. We enjoyed the Guacamole Bites, Chicken Fried Rice, Five Spicy Chicken. The Lavender Lemonade looked beautiful but it just tasted like regular lemonade. I loved the food presentation especially the Five Spicy Chicken. Very creative. Has vegan options. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's good for cozy dinner for two or a large group. There's a mini lot parking next door. I always end with, "Will I return?" Like the logo, I'll "Beeeeee" back!!! read more
This place was great! Service was 10/10 with everyone being super attentive and helpful. The restaurant is super pretty and has a nice outdoor courtyard. My only complaint here is that our table had a drainage grate under it which was kind of gross, I think they should avoid seating people next to that as there are flies and things around it and it's gross if you drop anything near it. Other than that, I thought the food and drinks were great, and would definitely come back. I really enjoyed the crab fried rice and pad thai. read more

Definitely an Awesome place for brunch, lunch or get away with the girls. The Atmosphere is filled with great aesthetics for pictures. Everywhere you turn is great for a selfie or group photo. The portions are great per person and tasty! But the drinks are fire meaning good ! On pictures the place look so big, it's not ! Very intimate setting. read more

We came right when they opened on a Saturday and got seated right away. Our server, Early Grey, was amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to tell us about the restaurant and walked us through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations. Drinks came out fast, and they were attentive without being overbearing. My boyfriend and I both ordered the WeHo Brunch, and I'm so glad we did. The Queen Violet pancakes were absolutely incredible. So fluffy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It's a really generous portion, definitely enough to split or save for later. The space is gorgeous. We loved the mix of color, florals, and European-inspired decor. The mural adds a vibrant touch, and the flower wall with the Queen Violet neon sign is super Instagram-worthy. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back! read more

Brought my wife here for Valentines Day. The spot is pretty and has a very nice vibe/theme going on. Aside from this it was all just downhill. Had to wait about half an hour for them to bring one drink. Our first appetizer came in over an hour later after ordering. I understand that it was probably busy given that it was a holiday, but multiple guests that arrived after us received their food well before we did. It was only after we brought it to their attention, twice, that something finally came out. The order of our dishes was spastic as well. Since we ordered from a set menu that day, we ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. Got one of our appetizers first, then an entree, then another appetizer, and finally our last entree. All kind of just throw at us within 15-20 minutes. While I understand that the initial dish took some time to come out and they may have rushed the rest, it definitely seemed unorganized. The lamb chops and curry were tasty. However, the steak was extremely disappointing. I shouldve seen it coming when they didnt ask how we like it prepared. Pretty dry, despite it being medium, and it wasnt served hot or even warm. We ended up requesting the desserts to be to go'd, one of which was supposed to be a strawberry cheesecake. Opened up the box and well the rest is pretty self explanatory lol. Sample size piece of what looks to be regular cake. Kind of a slap on the face after what was already a pretty negative experience. Overall, the experience is cool and the theme is a great photo op. Food was decent (not for the price). Service definitely needs work. The way I see it, its honestly just a basic restaurant hidden behind a false persona full of a bunch of flowers and fancy cloths. Nothing that should've needed a reservation for. Was it worth almost $250 for 2 people? I'll let you decide that one. read more

Wow! What a beautiful brunch spot in the heart of WeHo! From the lush entryway to the lovely, cozy dining areas, I felt whisked away to a magical garden. And I haven't even shared how incredibly unique the Thai brunch was. Everything we ordered from the Queen Violet ube pancakes to the Magic Noodles were worthy of all the rave reviews. Oh, and even if you think you don't have room for dessert, you MUST still order the mango sticky rice! You won't regret it. Believe the Buzz about this place!
