There was one server helping the whole restaurant. Luckily the location was super full, so service was good :) he made some recommendations for items. The place was very cute and had a few spots for taking cute pictures. Only issue is that if people are sitting at the tables by them, you're in their space. Lucky us no one was sitting by the cute purple wall though! They had some music playing in the background as well. Bathroom could use a touch up, not what I expected for this place. My lord. My god. This place is heaven for anyone who loves Asian food and loves a romantic beautiful spot that is perfect for enjoying said food. I love Asian food. Sometimes I think I should have been born Asian. If you're like me you need to not even think about it and come here. The egg rolls are heavenly. Crispy on the outside and fresh veggies on the inside. The onion pancake thing they sell is amazing tasting and the best part is that it isn't greasy and gross. Now I knew nothing about their magic noodles but they are magical. They start off purple then turn blue and are on a bed of veggies and drenched in a savory sweet type of sauce. You just want to tip the bowl and guzzle the juice. The noodles are delicate and thin but not over cooked. Absolutely amazing! Yummmmmmmmmmm. Also the kung pao shrimp are huge and breaded. No tiny or medium shrimp here. Humongous and delicious and filling. The curry with chicken is so delicious and perfectly made. Placed on the crab fried rice we bought it paired well. Wowwww! Ok, I'm a fan! My brother recommended this spot and it truly felt like a hidden gem. When I heard we were going to a restaurant in West Hollywood, I expected it to be in the in the very busy area that's hard to find parking. This place is blocks away in a quieter part of the city and coming during the week proved to be easy parking as surrounding businesses are closed by then. The ambiance is wonderful! Everything is purple. :) Outdoor dining on a charming patio paired with fantastic dishes, presentation and service with a total win. This place is an experience and vibe was on point. We shared several dishes, starting with the sampler. Everything was tasty and delicious. Of course we over ordered, but the leftovers heated up really well. After getting completely turned away by The Front Yard, Queen Violet totally saved the night for my birthday celebration! We had a large party of 9, and they accommodated us immediately without a single complaint. As you can see, the vibes here are incredibly cute and floral. The drinks were presented gorgeously, and the food was delicious. I ordered the "Magic Noodles," and watching them change color from blue to purple was such a fun experience! Our waiter was so nice and sweet enough to bring out a slice of cheesecake for my birthday. To top it all off, the bill was incredibly reasonable--even with the service charge added, it came out to under $400 for food and drinks for all 9 of us. Noticed I was adding a little more whipped cream and their house Ube syrup more than I normally would since pancake was on the dryer end. Outside there is a speaker that is playing only treble and sounds completely off and is playing a repetitive like a broken record over and over again and is extremely obnoxious and too loud. Could've used more lemongrass, and the chicken was way overdone. The husband's shrimp looked cooked well. Orange chicken teases w a suggestion of spice, but def falls flat. Nicely breaded tho. The Hong Kong noodles over promised and under delivered. They forgot to put in the tempura mushrooms. Once delivered, the mushrooms themselves were pretty good, but were overpowered by the bottled sweet sauce they accompanied. The extra star is for convenience, really. On my second visit, we had the scallops to start which were a bit small for the price but delicious. For our main course, most of my table had the Lobster Tomyum which was sooooo good. The tomyum sauce was creamy and the lobster tail was cooked perfectly. Literally wanted to lick the plate. To drink, I had the Peach Mojito which was ok. Wouldn't necessarily order again, but the presentation of the drinks in a little tower was just so cute so wasn't mad at it. Service was nice and pretty quick as well. read more

I came to Queen Violet with a group and overall had a really lovely experience. I ordered the blueberry pancakes, and they were delicious--fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. Around the table we also tried the French toast, the berry pancakes, and the Thai omelette with crab, and everything was genuinely yummy. Great menu for sharing and tasting a little of everything. We sat outside in the courtyard area, which was such a cute vibe. The entire space is very violet-themed and aesthetically pleasing, with lots of fun photo opportunities throughout--definitely an Instagram-friendly spot. One thing to note: while it looked like they had great coffee options, we were told they were only serving black coffee that day, so we didn't get to try any of the specialty drinks, which was a little disappointing. Met up with my family visiting from New York for lunch and we had a really nice time! The ambience was pleasant, and my nieces loved taking photos and selfies for IG. The food was decent overall, though I wouldn't say it was the most authentic Thai cuisine I've had. There was only one server for the entire restaurant, so service was quite slow. Good thing we weren't in a rush. However, every time we needed something, we had to get up and go inside to get her attention, which was a bit inconvenient. Parking can also be tricky. There's a small lot, but it's easy to miss since there's no visible sign. If that fills up, finding street parking can be a challenge. I was looking for a place to have brunch with a group of 4 that had both savory and sweet options and this place has that on their menu. I was also intrigued by the purple decor and the aesthetic from the pictures but honestly it looks so gorgeous in person even as you walk up to the restaurant. They have seating inside and outside and a variety of flower walls and decor that does the queen and bee theme. I would say the service was a little slower than I would like but we offered grace because it was packed including multiple larger groups and they apologized. As you can see from my entrance pic, Queen Violet is a visual stunner - a true showstopper. The design is elegant and whimsical. We opted for lunch on the patio, and while the street was hot, the patio remained cool and inviting. Speaking of inviting, the table setting (see my pic) was both stylish and serene, with a light scent of lavender that lingered delicately without overpowering the meal. We shared our lunch family style, starting with the Pad See Ew with beef. The beef medallions were tender, adding richness and a depth of flavor that played beautifully with the soy-slicked rice noodles. The noodles were soft and satisfying, while the crisp vegetables offered a welcome contrast in texture. Next came the Crab Fried Rice, which was impressively light. It featured delicate blue crab folded into perfectly scrambled eggs and fluffy brown rice. The overall flavor was subtle but well-balanced, especially when paired with the house sauces - one a bright, tangy chili pepper and the other a savory soy-based sauce (see my pic). These provided just the right punch to elevate the dish. We finished with the Holy Basil (see my pic). Generous portions of flavorful ground wagyu were paired with rough-cut vegetables and vibrant Thai basil. Brought my wife here for Valentines Day. The spot is pretty and has a very nice vibe/theme going on. Aside from this it was all just downhill. Had to wait about half an hour for them to bring one drink. Our first appetizer came in over an hour later after ordering. I understand that it was probably busy given that it was a holiday, but multiple guests that arrived after us received their food well before we did. It was only after we brought it to their attention, twice, that something finally came out. The order of our dishes was spastic as well. Since we ordered from a set menu that day, we ordered 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts. Got one of our appetizers first, then an entree, then another appetizer, and finally our last entree. All kind of just throw at us within 15-20 minutes. While I understand that the initial dish took some time to come out and they may have rushed the rest, it definitely seemed unorganized. The lamb chops and curry were tasty. However, the steak was extremely disappointing. I shouldve seen it coming when they didnt ask how we like it prepared. Pretty dry, despite it being medium, and it wasnt served hot or even warm. We ended up requesting the desserts to be to go'd, one of which was supposed to be a strawberry cheesecake. Opened up the box and well the rest is pretty self explanatory lol. Sample size piece of what looks to be regular cake. Kind of a slap on the face after what was already a pretty negative experience. Overall, the experience is cool and the theme is a great photo op. Food was decent (not for the price). Service definitely needs work. The way I see it, its honestly just a basic restaurant hidden behind a false persona full of a bunch of flowers and fancy cloths. Nothing that should've needed a reservation for. I came here for lunch with my cousin traveling from Texas, she's the one who put me on this restaurant. Fun fact she saw it on Selling Sunset. Immediately you're welcomed with beautiful purple and light colored wisterias. The moment you step in feels like you've traveled to a magical place.
