Let me start off by saying I told this business I wouldn't post a bad review and the owner recorded me saying it but in fairness to others, I had to post my bad experience so you don't waste your time and money like I did. The other day I went to Queenies for my nail appointment at 12:00. 1.) I wasn't seen til 12:30 2.) The nail tech nicked me three times causing me to bleed which she ignored and just kept drowning the open cut with alcohol 3.) This appointments took 2 hrs!!!!! I sat down the lady seemed new. Ive had matte done before she did it a fast sloppy cheap way! Then halfway through the owner took over and proceeded to do a sloppy freehand white "design." I was then charged $65 while I was still bleeding I might add! I got home my husband and friends laughed at my nails. It looks like something my niece who is 4 did. I came here because my nail tech was booked and I needed my nails done in a pinch as I was traveling the next morning. I remember coming here a couple of years ago but couldn't remember why I never came back as the place is clean and the staffers I encountered the first time provided good service. Well I guess I remember that the quality of work was subpar. I requested a dip French manicure and French pedicure. The pedicure was not bad and the tech asked me how thin I wanted the white part which was good but as soon as I got in the chair for my manicure, it went downhill from there. I was trying to tell him how I wanted the shape as I'm very particular about my almond shaped nails. Every time I motioned to say something about MY NAILS, he would tap my hand away and dare I say hit my hand, basically telling me to stop and just wait for him to finish. The job was sloppy and not smooth. I was not happy and of course I was way overcharged. I can pay for something if the quality matches the price but this was simply not the case so footing this bill left me sick! By day two, I couldn't believe what my nails looked like and they were already cracking. I never have this issue at my current nail salon. Everyone knows I love getting my nails done and this place HAD become my fast favorites. As usual it's a great place and I like my nails. My nails technically exactly what I asked for so I can't complain much. I have 3 downsides to my visit. First was that 2 different people were doing my nails. For as long as I could remember I have ONE tech, could even be for years at a time, do my nails. And I spend a lot of money regularly on my nails so I am very picky and particular. 2nd 5 out of 10 rhinestones fell off my nails the same day, before I even made it home from the salon, and before I had the chance to even wash my hands. And now less than a week later one broke off. I have 3 extensions and the rest of my nails are real. But every time I come I leave with another broken nail. I was really loving this place and I believe if the same person had been doing my nails as my previous 3 visits I may not have had this experience. I moved back to Dedham so I've been trying different nail places. I went here last Saturday. Paid $65.00 for a full set of course no one can speak a lick of English. On Tuesday 5 were pulling off I called ok come in they weren't very happy they said 9:30 in the morning. I got there oh we can't take you till 12:00 and you have to pay for it all over again. YIKES. Have you ever had such a bad experience at a nail salon that mid-way through the pedicure you want to ask them to stop and pay them just to stop?! I got a pedicure and the person was doing a terrible job on my toenails. When I pointed out that I wanted my nails cut shorter, and this was the third reminder that I had asked her to cut shorter, she got really aggressive and rude with me. She also started talking crap about me, I'm half Vietnamese and I speak Vietnamese and understood all the rude and derogatory jokes she was saying to her co-workers. This type of racist behavior is completely unacceptable and inappropriate. I was beyond disgusted and humiliated by this type of discrimination and disrespect. In addition, she used dirty and used tools like she never took the tools out of a sealed bag on my toenails and got upset when I pointed this out to her. DIRTY, NASTY, and UNSANITARY!!! So dissatisfied today. The one doing the manicure was not friendly. she cut my skin, I jumped because it hurt and surprised me. She blamed me saying my skin was so dry!!! I came to this nail salon on Dec. 5th and did a dip manicure. Today is Dec. 12th and i am missing a total of 3 and a half nails. My nails started breaking at day 4. The nails that i still have are chipped, cracked and destroyed. I came here because my normal nail salon was full. I got a dip manicure and a gel pedicure and got charged $110 before tip. This salon is nothing more than its looks. It's very nicely decorated but the quality of the work they do is HORRIBLE. How do you charge so much money and your work is so cheap. I have been going to Queenie Salon for quite some time but yesterday after the wax lady dropped wax on my jeans and ruined them, I will not be going back. She did say she was sorry but her attitude was "you can go home and wash them" after putting a solution on it. I tried to get stain out but to no avail, thus, I can no longer wear these new jeans. This lady also does nails and after a few days the gel bubbles around the cuticles. I pointed this out to her and she could not care less. Her attitude is of indifference and seems to be more interested in her surroundings rather than the customer. Walter and MI do a super job so kudos to them. Hmmm... Came here on a fluke because AQ Nails in Dedham Plaza would not take my sis and I because we didn't have an appointment. Pros In my opinion they do a wonderful job focusing on the CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE! They take walk-Ins, they are warm, friendly and welcoming, they speak in English so you don't feel like they are talking about you, they provide water and delicious snacks (we were given these amazing coconut crackers), they give you unexpected neck and shoulder massages while your nails dry, they joke and make you feel like a friend, they have a number of spa offerings for you to choose from, they use the callous grater which takes the most dead skin off of your feet than any other method. The place is immaculate and comforting. I had Mary who was so sweet and did a fantastic job on my spa pedicure and gel nail polish!! All this and they have plenty of parking in the terrific Lambert Plaza! Cons They charge $40 for the spa pedicure which was pretty steep compared to neighboring salons like AQN who only charges $32 and takes almost 45 minutes to perform...the Mani and pedi seemed rushed and did not include the foot massage or the foot clay mask which really softens my feet. This may have been due to the fact that they close at 6pm and that time was fast approaching, but it did leave us feeling like we didn't get what I paid for. I also received my manicure by someone else while I was getting my pedi and did not feel like it was thorough. All in all, it was still a pretty good customer experience! I'll go back because of that, yet a little earlier next time to see if the treatment is consistent and if i get the extras I believe I'm paying for. read more

I've been looking for a new nail salon around Dedham and I can say I found it! I sent a message to request a same day appointment at 7:25am on a Sunday and received an answer back from the owner within 5 minutes. That was just the beginning of the experience - the salon was peaceful, they had a good selection of colors and they were thorough in cuticles and filing. There are a few perks they offer here that have disappeared elsewhere - the little bottle of water, the shoulder massage and even the owner calling me by name when I walked in. I had one of the best manicures that I've had in years here! My manicurist was a perfectionist about getting the shape right. I never even had to say a word. Then she could tell I was wavering on my color choice and made a suggestion that was exactly the right "nude" color for my skin tone. To top it off, the thickness of the gel polish is perfect. Although extremely clean, I will not be returning to this salon. I have been doing dip powder manicures for years and they typically last 4-6 weeks without chipping. I recently moved to the area and have been looking for a new nail salon. I read good reviews about Queenie Nails and decided to give it a try. After paying $55 for a manicure after tip, I was disappointed that there was no hand massage and no lotion during the manicure. I've never had a manicure where they didn't at least lotion my hands even during covid. The next day I woke up to 3 of my nails chipped and cracked. I did not work within those 24 hours or do anything that may have caused my nails to chip. I am going on 1 week now and I have 5 chipped and cracked nails. I am extremely disappointed, I have been using dip powder for years and have never had an issue like this, not to mention after just one day. I had to run on Yelp to give this place a review, because THAT'S how much I loved the service. Extremely clean; I even noticed that the foot scrubs were individually packed in cookie jars to prevent contamination. Everything is single-use, and they have an autoclave to sanitize the tools after each use. I received a spa pedicure and manicure, and I was blown away. My tech took their time, but was very precise and efficient. I usually always do a French manicure for work, and this has probably got to be one of the best French manicures I have ever gotten. I went there on 1027 for a gel manicure with a simple ghost design requested for Halloween weekend. The nail tech insisted on a dip which I agreed to. Sadly, it came out very thick and very short. I was very clear and saying that I was not happy with the length. The tech could not correct what was done and knew I was not happy. At this point I did not pursue the design because I was not happy with my nails. I question whether the tech had the credentials to do my nails in the first place.
