Easily made an appointment online for 12 noon. Signed in at 11:45am with no one running the counter. A few minutes later, a busy phlebotomist breezed by the counter and said to sit down in a very dismissive, unfriendly tone. So I sat and wondered how long would this take. A few minutes later, four of the staff were at the counter talking about their manicures. This must not be a very fun job...I understand...no one wants to be here. But truth be told, I was called at 11:58am, my blood-test was performed, and I was back in my car by 12:03pm. Don't expect southern hospitality. Get in, get out, and move on. Next! On a side note, you can also make an appointment on the automated phone line. I made a reservation on each system (phone and online) at the exact same time in hopes of getting the earliest appointment. Online gave me an appt for the very next day, while the phone system said the earliest appt was three days later. I always recommend smiling and being nice but it may really help if you do this at Quest. In my short time there, I actually got a couple of the staff members to smile. It makes a difference. Showed up 15 minutes early only to hear "we don't have you in the system, you can stay as a walk-in" The receptionist was actually pretty friendly, and said that it shouldn't take too long. This location is awful! 15 minutes into our wait the receptionist began to argue with a patient. The patient was confused on what to do w their paperwork, which is understandable, however not to the receptionist! She responded to her questions, "Well you can go somewhere else. You do not have to be here!" As she is saying this a nurse/doctor came out and loudly announced to the waiting room, "We apparently have two people that are getting sick in the back so because of them it will be awhile before anyone else will be seen. So because of them your wait will be longer"!! Seriously!!! This made my husband and I uncomfortable and unwelcome. Honestly not the way to approach any situation. Any and all medical facilities need to have compassion and patience this place is far from either!! From very long wait times in person or on the phone to rude customer service agents to incorrect charges on my bill this company never fails to disappoint. They truly know how to screw people over. Boyfriend went in with me this morning. We arrived at 8:30am. Female working behind the counter was too busy chatting it up with a guy and ignored us, shitty service, nothing new in this crappy town. I didn't get any rude employees like some of the other reviews stated, but there were a lot of people there and my wait time was exactly one hour(I got there at 12pm on a Saturday). The lady that I got was nice and apologized for the wait a bunch of times and even admitted that they were a little short on staff. Overall it was fine, no big deal. The Quest Diagnostics on South McCarran Blvd. in Reno, Nevada was disappointing. Many people waiting for service and very little progress being made by the sample technicians. After a long wait that made little sense and listening to their receptionist arguing on the phone with an insurance company for 30+ minutes for some customers, I finally received some incompetent service. The results from a letter sent out from Quest, a few days later, was that the two blood sample vials taken were contaminated by them and not fit for testing. Beware of this testing company. They may be a health problem? At the very least they will waste your time. There are much better testing labs available from my experience. read more

This place seems to not only have horrible service, but also dangerous and aggressive drivers. I just had one cut me off while illegally changing lanes in a intersection. I honked at him when he cut me off, he then proceeded to honk back while flipping me off. My son and I coming from our Doctor's appt and already fasting...so might as well get the lab work done. I could drive all the way to where I work or just go down the street and have the labs done at Quest. BAD CHOICE! No one really in the office and so we were helped right away. (The girl at the desk looked like Deena on Jersey Shore-just thought I'd add that) Got called back right away and my son went first. The phleb did not look confident at all looking at my son's arm and had to call the Deena-lookalike. She did not look confident either but poked him on the left arm anyways. MISSED! I can see my son starting to get nervous and he is actually doing well considering he is so scared of needles. (Poor baby) Then they keep asking him if he drinks water...OMG....I can understand if my son was sick and dehydrated but don't blame my son for you missing his vein!!!! Then they poke in the right arm. MISS!!!! WTF!! Are you new??? I can understand if you are new...but when you start telling me to tell my son to start drinking more water....you are lucky I did not poke you in the eye. How about saying you are INCOMPETENT and APOLOGIZE FOR MISSING THE VEIN IN MY SON'S ARM. What makes matters worse is my son tells me on the second try, the needle came out and they poked it back in. BAD!!!!!! Bad practice, and stupid girls. Where did you get your license??? Who the hell passed you???? You need to do more check-offs and not blame the patient if you miss! I see why this location gets bad reviews. I walked in 25 minutes age and still have not been called up to give my paperwork. Nobody is being called up to the counter! The place is packed, but it doesn't appear there is a full staff on hand to accommodate the Monday business, which I am sure is like this every Monday. My mom is currently enrolled in hospice and needed blood work. The hospice nurse stated they sent over the work order to quest. Upon my arrival a very nice attendant at the door greeted me, I didn't have an apt but said she would take me as their last patient. They were closing in 10 mins. My elder mom is very difficult to get out of the house so I was extremely grateful. It was moms first time out in months. When entering the room for BW, the tech couldn't find the work order. I offered to call the nurse to see the disconnect, she very loudly said "we are closing in 3 mins so it will need to be sent over NOW", I said no worries give me your fax. The tech then went to the room next door to use another computer while talking to the nurse who sent the order, she kept repeating we close in 2 mins so this needs to happen quick. At this point in time, I'm upset because my mother is sitting in the chair and it's principle and empathy to an elder patient needing something so do what is right and own the issue and stop counting down minutes as it New Years. I said to my mom, i understand they are closing but her saying it like we are a bother is very rude! Another very kind nurse stepped in and took over, I want to say her name was crystal. She talked to nurse got their acct # they forgot to write on order and had them resend it correctly. She greeted My mom, drew her BW and was extremely patient. I couldn't stop thanking her, as a human we sometimes need to do a little more for the vulnerable, she was our good karma and angel sent. I also have to say while waiting there was this African American woman who also was very patient and kind with another patient. It's disappointing this young tech made our experience not so pleasant but everyone else seems to make it better. read more

We arrived WITH an appointment for my adult son with disabilities..who needed to lay down for "Needle Shock" which is shaking and jerking of arms and legs before passing out. It's not fear, but fear makes it worse. This he has had his whole life. With his Dr's help of a calming medication and the CALM HELPFUL staff., the was the FIRST time his whole life when he did not pass out. MARIA was calm and patient....God Bless Her. I, being a confused; nervous senior citizen had the help at the front desk who walked around the counter to assist me with the sign in process. It is very hard to find nice people working in the medical field. All employees were very nice. I have incredible anxiety when it comes to having my blood drawn, I am almost 30 years old and yet, I cry like a baby when I have to do it. The lady drawing my blood, was not only nice and understanding, but incredibly sweet and patient, she took her time to make me comfortable and even joked around to lighten up the mood. I apreciated the kindness in such a vulnerable moment for me. Outstanding service! My advise is for you to make an appointment, you will be in and out in no time, if not, get ready to wait a bit (which would be your fault for not making the app) read more

I live out of state and was recommended to come to this Quest location. I had blood draws 2 days this week and will never return to this location ever again. The front desk receptionist Carri assisted me with check in and insurance both of those 2 days. On the first day I explained being an insured with Kaiser of Calif. She became very snotty saying we don't take California insurance her tone of voice and mannerisms were very rude. On the early morning of day 2 she was apparently overwhelmed with over 20 patients coming in for draws right at opening. She was so insensitive and down right rude to many in the waiting room. Other patients waiting noticed her ignorant behavior just shaking their heads in disbelief. The only good thing I can say about this location was the wonderful professionalism and compassion from my 2 different lab techs within 2 days. My first lab tech was Luvi Tongson she was an amazing lab tech with a great personality and smile. My second lab tech for my 2nd day draw was Maria Torres who showed great skills and a friendly disposition. The two stars are for the lab techs they deserve some kudos too bad they are employed in a lousy location. read more

She was extremely rude and sent me away without helping me even though the office was still open another 30 min. I pleaded with her and she refused to help me. This place is always a hit or miss. I was finally called after only 20-25 minutes of waiting. I did not have an appointment but they put priority over regular clients or individuals who do have appointments. I been procrastinating and it's been long over due for my review! I needed blood work to be done last month but was hesitant on coming to this location because of the bad reviews. The location was so close to home and convenient I figure why not, what's the worse thing they could do besides poor customer service or long wait??? I got in around 9am, not much people waiting and was greeted. I got called in within 15 minutes by Luvi T. and she was very friendly and explained to me what she would be doing. She took her time and was gentle unlike other location where they was just trying to take your blood and rush you out! I was in and out of that place in 30 minutes!! If ever needed their service again, I'd definitely be returning to this location!! read more

I scheduled an appointment last week on their website. When I arrived for my 7:15am appointment, I was greeted with an employee stating unless I had a mask I could not come in the building because policy changed due to COVID19. Great! I respect that. What I do not respect is that I received a confirmation text with no information about a mask or a courtesy call with that information. I got, "it's the new policy made this week and it's on the website." Neither of those explanations helped me at all. I would have been ok standing outside until my appointment or had someone offer to reschedule and I would be priority. Instead they are accepting walk-ins filling the waiting room. If this is the new normal there should not be any walk ins until things settle. I felt like I was given the middle finger and sent on my way so yeah I'm pissed!! Worst Quest location EVER. It has nothing to do with making an appointment or not because even WITH an appointment your wait time can be 45min. Signed in at 9:59 and was called up at 10:12 to hand over order. I filled out authorization form and advised that I needed my OLD lab results from 1/11 and 2/11 to compare BEFORE I am called up to due blood work. At 12:00 I stepped up to ask if they got the old results yet and they handed me 12/11 which was faxed to them at 10:38. I'm confused, not only did you wait 1.5 hours to give it to me. You gave me the WRONG month. After explaining YET AGAIN I needed 1/11 and 2/11, I get a snappy answer back that they need to request it from client services and have them fax it over. FINE! Do your part because I did mine when I filled out the auth form. After a back and forth for 3min I get the CORRECTED form 5min later. YUP all in 5min like they couldn't have done that 2 HOURS AGO! As if that wasn't painful enough, I didn't get my blood drawn for 2 hours and 15 mins. Many people were upset that they ALSO had been sitting there EVEN WITH AN APPOINTMENT! Appointments at THAT time were about a 45min wait not to mention they lost a patients paperwork and the patient was RUDELY snapped at as if it was HER fault they lost her paperwork. Reps were snappy and rude! Telling people either to wait or go somewhere else not to mention begin rudely advised to make an appointment next time so they don't have to be so upset. This location is UNPREPARED and RUDE. They talk about their patients once they leave and they laugh at parents whose child cries from getting a blood draw. I've seen twice where they bargain between each other on whose going to take what patients as if taking a child needs to have straws drawn just to do it. I will NEVER go to this location EVER AGAIN!!! read more

Not so much a review of the over all service, as much as it's the experience I've had as of late. I've been going to this location for years, and I've never really had much of a problem. But, the past three visits, I've come into a cramped waiting room. I've only really had to wait about 20 to 30 minutes the first two times, and the room has a very uncomfortable atmosphere, with everyone grumbling and complaining that they've been there way longer than I've had too. This hasn't happened in the past, normally it's relatively quick. Having to have had worked in costumer service, I'm giving the staff the benefit of the doubt and guessing some higher up in the company decided to implement a terrible new system that makes everything slower. This last visit I decided to schedule an appointment. And I was waiting for maybe about 5 or 10 minutes, and I was out. But it was still pretty gloomy in the lobby, and I even had some grumpy old fart bust in while I was getting my blood drawn incoherently complaining about how long he's been waiting I guess? I don't know, he eventually just stormed out by the time I was finished. read more

I made an appointment for wife Tuesday morning and went online to change to Thursday at 10:30 for this location. The confirmation number was mmw56094. She arrived before 10:30 and the African American lady there was very rude to start with. She said she doesn't have an appointment and there's no way to check the computer system for the appointment confirmation number. It's now what you say it's how you say it! First, that doesn't make any sense you can't check the system. Second, I was told to come back in an hour for the test so after being very rude to her as a customer. Upset, but she came back in an hour for the test. This lady saw my wife drinking water and said now she can't take the test. The back of the form says you can't eat or drink anything but water for 10-12 hours before the test and JUST DRANK WATER! This lady said nothing about making sure you don't drink water one hour before the test UNTIL AFTER she came back an hour later! So she leaves the place in tears after being treated poorly by your staff and we have to reschedule. I'm a Chief Marketing Officer and I can tell you that none of my customers would be treated this way without consequence. Either you have a terrible training program, you allow this sort of behavior because you can OR this lady needs to find some other form of employment as customer service is clearly not her skillset and not a representation of the rest of Quest Diagnostics' staff. read more

I been to this place a few times as a walk in & I started booking online appointments. As a walk in, it wasn't too bad as they get packed quickly & it is a small waiting area so it has taken up to 30 mins. For appointments it takes a good 7 to 10 mins. When you sign in now, they are tablets on the far right of the counter which makes sense since they always seem busy & in a rush, you just do that yourself & wait for someone to call you up. The only main issue I have is with the billing because twice they have told me it's over $65 which I go ahead & run my card & it stays pending for a week & then my issuance kicks it down to only $3-$5 the most. Also they have send me bills of $15-$20 additionally after I pay & I have to call to sort them. Today I went in & was there for 20 mins total. The lady taking the samples was nice, held a conversation with me & she even remembered me! But she said I had a balance due (I don't know where that came from again!?) so I paid the $12 bucks in order to get anything done. Now I have to call billing again... Overall nice friendly staff, clean building, good service but crappy billing. read more
