I hired him for four things. The first problem - my car smells badly of gas. He changed the gasket on the fuel pump that is under the backseat. My car still smells like gas. The check engine light was on. And my car sort of starts up slowly. He put the diagnostic tool on the car and it told him to change the thermostat. So I bought the thermostat. He replaced it. Unfortunately, The check engine light is still on, and my car still does not start up normally. It takes turning over many times to start. The third thing I hired him to do was to fix the car vibrating when you hit the brakes at higher speed. I test drove it after he finished the work, but I guess I did not bring it up to high enough speed to feel it vibrate. He basically lubricated the brakes and he said that should take care of the problem. But it did not take care of the problem and the car still vibrates. He claims that he did good work because he lubricated the brakes. But he did not fix the problem. The fourth thing I heard was change the rear camera. That works. one of the three things that I hired him to do, does work better. Now he's over here arguing with me that he did all this work. But he can't seem to understand that he didn't actually fix three of the four problems have. Basically, I paid him almost $500 to do a bunch of work that solved almost none of the problems that I was having with my car. Somehow he feels justified that he actually did some work so he feels like he earned his money. But I didnt hire him to do random work, I hired him to fix problems. He does not seem to understand that.

Before heading over I called and spoke with Grayson. He was very professional and informative. I…read morementioned to him that the check engine light and trac off light were on. He said he would have the mechanic take a look and evaluate once I got there. Once I arrived Grayson was at the front desk and let me know that there was 1 person ahead of me. It only took about 15-20 minutes for them to get to my car and diagnose the issue. He stated that the mechanic observed the rotors measured low and the brake pads would need to be sanded to be even. The service was great, Grayson and "Grumpy" were both very nice and explained things where I could understand. The estimate was between $200-$600. I paid toward the higher end, not sure whether or not it was a good deal, I just needed it done and it got done. They also checked some other things for me...so I guess it was a good deal. They were efficient and thorough. I would go back again.

ANN RD 89149…read more Feb '26 I was pressured to pay out of pocket $1488 for transmission & motor mount repairs after being lied too that Endurance Warranty would not cover the work because this was considered "Normal Wear & Tear" by Joe K. I contacted Endurance & was told they would cover the motor mounts; Endurance approved the claim & AA Auto Care 800 was paid immediately $685. When I picked up my car & requested the $685 be paid back to me. Joe K refused & fraudulently wanted me to apply the credit to my mother's car. My mother did not want to do business w/ AA Auto 800 after the stress, lies, & BS Joe K had put me through. I disputed the charge w/ my bank & after 6 weeks I was credited & won the dispute. I had contacted an attorney, was going to send a certified letter & take Joe K/AA Auto 800 to Small Claims Court. However, I am going to report this incident next to Nevada Consumer Affairs & the BBB, to report the billing practices, as the shop retained payment from both me & the warranty company for the same repair & declined to correct the issue when given the opportunity.
