The service was fine, but the customer service was disappointing. I came in for a simple oil change and provided all of my vehicle information. I wasn't given a quote or a breakdown of the cost beforehand and was simply told to sign the paperwork. The oil change initially came out to around $62. I showed the front desk employee that the website advertised a full synthetic oil change for $39, and I was told the additional cost was because my vehicle required an extra quart. That brought the total down to around $52. Before agreeing to the final price, I asked if the paperwork could be reprinted so I could confirm the total I was signing for and have a copy for my records. Her response was, "You want me to waste more paper?" The tone and attitude were completely unnecessary. I explained that I simply wanted to see what I was signing and keep a copy for my records, but I was met with even more attitude and was told it was "just so the technician knows what he's doing." The actual oil change service itself was fine, but the interaction at the front desk really left a bad impression Unfortunately, because of that interaction alone, I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

My sister-in-law took her car for a oil change through a Groupon then as soon and she left about a 1/4 mile away the check engine light came on with the check oil light. She called me asap to tell me that she got a oil change and her car was making weird noises and pulled over to wait for me to get there. She called me again to tell me that they forgot to put 1.5 quarts of oil in before she left but it should be running fine now. She then asked if her car will be okay and Phil said "if your that worried check for yourself". I arrive to the shop to her sitting in her car waiting and ask to see who worked on her car. The person comes up and is nonchalant about it and carefree. The service manager said that the car would be fine and never apologized for what happened and said they couldn't do anything about a refund because they don't get any of the money through Groupon. Went in for Groupn oil change and smog check. Serviceman came out and got me to show me where the gaskets were leaking and dirty fluids needed changing. I told him I had a car warranty and he told me warranty didn't usually cover any of that. I was ready to take my car elsewhere when he did offer to call warranty company. They did indeed cover gasket repair. I was asked to pay upfront for repairs which I don't usually do. I took car back next day for 5 hr repair. They did get me an Uber home. read more

I arrived at VIP Auto and asked if the Groupon for a smog check and full synthetic oil change was valid at this location and if I could use it before purchasing it. I gave them the make and model of my vehicle, and I was told I could buy the Groupon and use it there without any issues. However, as soon as I purchased it, the man at the counter had someone check what type of oil my car needed. I was then told the Groupon wouldn't work because they don't stock that type of oil. When I questioned him, he said they could do the service for $169 and tried to claim that was the normal price for my vehicle. My car is a 2020, and I've never paid anywhere near that amount, so I declined. I did have the smog check as they already pulled my car back and I needed it done immediately. However I will never return to VIP auto. They were unhelpful, and when I asked about a refund, they ignored me. I found the whole experience dishonest, and the customer service was terrible. The girl at the register also had a very rude, snotty attitude--probably a relative, because I can't imagine that behavior being tolerated otherwise. I would stay far away from this place. read more

My sister-in-law brought her car in to have the a/c diagnosed. It was working fine while driving but not at idle. The estimate was the worst upsell scam I have seen in a while. They said he compressor was failing allowing metal shavings to enter the system requiring a complete replacement of the a/c system. Oh yeah there was an indication of a radiator leak at the bottom of the radiator and it should be replaced however no extra labor for that because the radiator had to come out for the repair. We declined and picked up the car to find the a/c no longer worked at all but they claimed it did. We had the a/c recharged with leak detection added and had the coolant system leak checked. The a/c is working fine and the coolant system showed no signs of leaka. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not let them work on your Mercedes. They are incompetent in that area. They made six error codes come up on my dash when there weren't any when I brought it in! They used the wrong parts and sensor and the wrong parts were not OEM. On top of that they would not refund my $1500. Stay away! They are also liars because they assured me that wheel hubs would not alert the sensors! They promised me my vehicle the same day and I didn't get it until two days later. They told me they would pay for another service center to turn off the sensors. All lies. They should change their name to L.I.E. Auto Service Center. Walked in advertised $15 smog said it'd cost $40, cool whatever. Mention I have a manual and would prefer to not have anyone drive it. Told me no and not once did it enter the workshop. Said I passed then said actually we're failing you for "cracks" in gas cap, "we charge an extra 20$ to get it delivered here" Said no I'll buy my own ($9 at O'reily) then they wouldn't update my smog test unless I paid $40 for a re smog or go to the DMV in person. Not a place I'd recommend for smog trying to charge a total of $60-$80 depending on if I wanted to buy a part or re smog :) unfortunately for them I'm a mechanic who just happened to be dressed up nice so they thought they could get extra money out of me smog isn't $40 gas caps typically aren't $20 and they could've updated my test no need to "restart the whole test" terrible first and last experience here read more

I had problems with my transmission. I had an engine code done ( for free ) at AutoZone. So I had a place to start from. VIP told me they offered a free inspection and a diagnosis for 79 ( credited towards future repair to be fair. ) When I asked what the difference was at the shops she told me, " well the free one is just a quick look. The diagnostic is much more in depth. Ok fine. So then they do the same code scan I got done for free to tell me I need a new transmission. At this point I'm annoyed to be out $79 for what I already knew. But whatever. Gotta fix it right ? Over 3200 I was quoted. And I limped that truck right on home. Planned on selling as is. Until I found a competitor that fixed it OUT THE DOOR for less than 1/2 that. With a 6 month warranty. Done in 48 hours of start. Absolutely shameful of VIP. Go literally anywhere else. I travel for a living, as a result I put a lot of of miles on my car. When I need major service, there's only one place in Las Vegas I go to, and that's VIP Auto. I've used this location multiple times. Last time it was my starter. This time it was the alternator and a belt. Even though it's a couple of years in between when I go there, they pull up my file, evaluate the current situation, and when the mechanic and I talk about the issue I always feel comfortable that they know my car. I also know that I can trust them not to overcharge me. I go online and check out the price of the parts and what the labor should cost. They are always right on the money. They always get the job done in a timely manner. Jaun drove me back home while they did the this job and came back to get me when they were done. He was so nice. Sibelle was also extremely helpful. She is very good at her job. The mechanic also let me know, by showing me, that I need new engine mounts. He knows I drive long distances and all the miles I put on that car has made them loose. I'm so grateful he noticed it. He will be fixing that in a couple of weeks. Trustworthy mechanics, good prices, and excellent customer service. I went for a simple oil change but that did not matter to the staff as they treated me like a high value client. The mechanic available provided excellent service and insight on what is wrong with the car. The staff up front made sure I was aware of any possible fee that may arise afterwards from tax to disposal fee. Stay away from this place. Avoid businesses that scam customers, and I hope everyone distances themselves from this establishment. Think carefully before using their services. I was initially one of those who thought their service was good and reasonably priced because I read reviews on Yelp and saw offers on Groupon. I purchased a voucher through Groupon, and the first issue I encountered was that this place tried to charge me extra fees, even though Groupon payments are supposed to cover everything without additional charges. The most appalling thing was that they never informed me in advance about these extra charges. Afterward, the front desk staff took my phone and redeemed my voucher without my consent, even though my car hadn't been inspected yet. They later refused to service my car, claiming that the engine oil was leaking and the mileage exceeded the allowable limit for an oil change. When I tried to request a refund, they denied it and shifted the responsibility onto me, suggesting I deal with Groupon myself. I told the staff it was inappropriate to redeem the voucher without prior agreement, but the owner or manager rudely yelled back at me, saying, "Why didn't you tell us it was leaking or over the mileage so we wouldn't have redeemed it?" This response was extremely unprofessional and rude. If I already knew about the issue, why would I have come to them for an oil change? This behavior was disgraceful and disrespectful. They charged me for work where they put the wrong parts in. they diagnosed faulty wheel hubs and sensors and there was not a check engine light on. After I paid for my car, six error lights were on. VIP promised they would take care of the diagnostic fee because I had to pay to have my car fixed somewhere else. This all occurred on April 15 and they will not refund any monies. This was a $1500 repair. And they want to refund $160. All the while promising to make it right for two months. Simply, they are inefficient and they are liars. So now we are going to court. Arrived with Groupon for the special $14.99 oil change. Notified the female of the Groupon oil service. Now I'm not one whom believes in lying only for the truth always makes it way out. They claimed to have performed a $79.99 oil service w/o my consent to do any upgrade. Brian the shop manager for the location threatened and badgered when I refused to pay for services I never requested. It was at closing and he stated to charged storage fees if they closed and the car was not paid for and left over night. I subdued and paid the $79.99 for the full synthetic oil and filter replacements. Folks they didn't put oil in the car. Folks they didn't replace any filters. Over a month later I'm checking my oil and the oil stick is coming up dry, I thought I was doing it incorrectly. I asked some bros in the car wash bay next to me for help...Same results. The dude unscrewed the oil cap and said look bone dry as he rubbed his finger across the inside cap. I bought and put three quarts oil in the car. A week later my air conditioning isn't blowing cold air at high it felt low. I stopped at a free air condition garage... they pulled the cabin filter and it was caked with mold, debris, dirt. I'm so sad for that manager whom claims to be a mechanic that would perform such heinous work ethic and to over charge but then to not even perform the key function for the vehicle. I have video footage of this entire situation. A claim is also being filed with the consumer fairness agency of Nevada for a investigation to be launched on such ludicrous behavior from a person you place your trust for services the are key functions for your automobile. I came in for an oil change and was quoted $64.00 by the receptionist. I asked them to look at the brake pads. They said the pads were basically "brand new" but the sensor was bad. And that I needed to pay $360 to replace all the brake pads, rotors and sensors. I declined, as the pads were fine. They double charged me for the synthetic oil change. It turned out to be $124. I immediately told the blond receptionist who told me they must have needed more oil, and the different mechanic said there is more labor to a synthetic oil change (really!). The bill states the original oil change includes 5 quarts of synthetic. And my car has a 5.3 quart capacity, so she was clearly lying as were the mechanics. *****CONSUMER BEWARE***** Dear VIP Auto Service Center and Future Consumer, I am very disappointed in the lack of communication from your company. I placed the trust and safety of my vehicle and myself in your hands on 3/25/2024. My vehicle broke down in Las Vegas and I entrusted V.I.P Service to complete the services they promised. I luckily drove back to California safely. The next day my vehicle began leaking coolant from the parts VIP was supposed to have completely replaced and guaranteed their work 12,000 miles/1 year. The same day my car began to overheat and I had to drive it to my local mechanic. Turns out, VIP never replaced the parts as promised, which I paid over $1,100 for parts and labor. I have video, picture, and a written statement from my mechanic stating the parts were not replaced. On top of this, I've contacted VIP Service and spoken to Ati on various occasions, including sending a formal statement through their Gmail. Not one person from VIP has contacted me to try and resolve the issue, or even discuss some agreement in three weeks. I have put a stop payment on my credit card and will be filing a formal complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair to protect future consumers. In addition, I will to take the company to small claims court if needed, and charge them for my flight to Vegas and time lost from work. I have never written a YELP review...and I thought consumers should be aware of the lack of professionalism of this company. read more
