Had my wedding band and engagement ring resized. They were able to do the job on the spot. I was invited to watch the process in the back, which was very interesting. They have a laser welder, so the rest of the ring's metal doesn't get scorched in the process. After resizing and welding, they had a 3 part cleaning process, 2 solutions, steam blaster, and something with vibrations to really clean off every last bit of buildup. It's a mom amd pop shop with a smaller footprint, but they really have all the tools and technology to do the job right, and to do it fast. The last time I had my ring resized, I had to wait a week to get the ring back, and the jeweler showed me the diamond's GIA number upon receiving the ring, and also when returning it to me. I asked about whether they did that here, but since they did the entire job right on the spot, it was unnecessary. The pricing here was definitely more than the last time I had it resized, but it was done right on the spot, and it's been a few years so I guess that's inflation. The ring came out looking like a beauty. I didn't notice until later that the back was not completely filed smooth, but I'm still very happy with the whole process and the state of the ring. I remember the owner also telling me if there are any welding issues to come back, so I imagine he'll take care of it if I stop by in the near future. My LensCrafters frames delaminated above both lenses after a little over a year, conveniently just outside of the one-year warranty offered by their protection plan.
