    Oil pan cover

I took my truck in initially for an oil change, and had asked about the brakes. I was told they would inspect them, and let me know. After inspection, we agreed that new brakes were needed. Can you get it done today? "We can. It's going to be 3-1/2 to 4 hours. We will call you." That was at 9am. 2:30pm - silence 3:00pm - I call lookin for an update and was told someone would call me right back 3:30 - I show up because nobody called me, to see my truck on the lift, brakes torn down and nobody working on it. The tech with an attitude problem was working on something else. 5:00pm - I finally get a call saying it was done. I told them I can't pick it up, and will be there in the morning. I show up to my truck sitting outside. Not washed (that used to be done every service at the old shop), my back window rolled halfway down and the drivers seat not moved back. Then I walk out to my truck this morning to see that they never fastened the tray underneath. I used to take my vehicles to quick lane for regular services - but never again. I'm beyond disappointed in them.

I brought my Hyundai Elantra in for an A/C diagnostic because the system was blowing warm air…read more I dropped the vehicle off around 9:30 AM and was told they would "get right on it." I understand shops get busy, this location is "first come first served", and I don't expect anyone to magically make time appear or drop everything to check out the new car. I don't work there and I walked in, so I have no idea what things look like behind the scenes. The issue wasn't that they were busy, it was that the expectations set didn't reflect reality. After walking around the area for about an hour after drop-off, I returned and noticed my vehicle was still sitting in the same guest parking spot at the side of the building where I had left it. By 11:00 (after waiting over 90 minutes/nearly two hours from drop-off) with no phone call update and no apparent movement of the vehicle, I went to the front desk to ask about the status. Shortly after I asked, the vehicle was brought into the shop and I was assured the diagnostic would take "about" 30 minutes. It ended up taking closer to 50 before I got up again to ask about an update. My main frustration was not the diagnosis itself, but the communication and expectations throughout the process. Everyone I interacted with was polite and reasonable, but I was given the same optimistic timeline despite the shop evidently being backed up. If I had been told up front that it would be hours before the vehicle would be moved, let alone looked at, I would have planned my morning differently. I do want to clarify that the issue wasn't attitude or service, it was a lack of clear and realistic communication. Better coordination internally and more honest timelines for customers would make a big difference.
