Today, (5/9/26) Chelsee and Chris (female) took care of my car. I had a burnt out break light that another shop told my husband would be difficult to change and would be a couple hundred bucks. Here at Valvoline they changed out the bulb in minutes and it only cost $17. Got a new engine air filter, bulb, oil, additional coolant and was told that my battery needs checked. It's under warranty at Costco so it's nice to have a heads up to go take it in there without being up sold on anything. It is nice to be able to drive in, get serviced without leaving the car in less than a half hour, and not be ripped off. Bringing your own parts is unusual (a bit like bringing your own food to a restaurant), but I wanted this specific OEM Japanese kit installed, and offered to pay any additional fees if they required. But they said no problem. They took a look at the kit to assess if it was complete, installed it in a day, and even packaged up all the old parts they replaced back into the box that the new parts came in. Went here to get tires swapped onto new rims and put those rims onto my car. After about an hour of…read morewalking around and waiting they call me into the shop to show me something. The car is on a lift, a mechanic holding an impact gun and the mechanic is saying that the gun caused a wheel stud to snap off. Second mechanic then proceeds to say "I wouldn't worry about safety, you're on 4 out of 5 studs. Do you want to pay another 120 or just leave it how it is?" I tell him i'll just leave because I had work in about an hour or so. I call back a week later trying to get ahold of the manager to tell him what happened and try and get this repaired for free. I tell him, he asks the two mechanics that were doing my tire swap that day, and they lie, saying that the damage was done with a torque wrench, not an impact gun. This matters because they say that the torque wrench can snap a wheel stud off when it's already damaged or cracked. I tell the manager thats not true, and he even told me that they use the gun while its still on the lift to get the lug nuts in place, then lower it onto the ground and use the torque wrench there. Well my vehicle was still on the lift when it broke off, so theres a pretty apparent lie there. He tells me to come in and they'll repair it for free. I show up and the mechanics on the job that day are still denying snapping the stud off with a gun. They also do not have any cameras in the shop area, so you could never be certain whether they're lying or not. Not only that, but i had a relative who worked here ages ago. They told me they're a shady place but i decided to take my chances. I shouldn't have come here. TLDR: Mechanics broke something then lied about it, manager offered to fix it for free, but I would not go here seeing how the mechanics are. Take your car to firestone instead.

I got an oil change with them a little while back that left me needing a completely new engine. Which was replaced by them, free of charge. So I do have to at least give them credit for that. But then I continued to have issues after getting the vehicle back. So I took it back to Brake Masters. They ran all their tests and "couldn't find anything wrong." Well come to find out, they put an engine in that was on its last limb. So of course I was going to have issues. Really disappointing to say the least. I just don't trust this location fully and wouldn't recommend going here. Peace of mind is of most priority and I just wouldn't have any peace of mind taking my vehicles to them.
