Service needed was brake pads and rotor replacements on all four wheels of my van. After entering the work requested in Yelp, Rems was the fastest to respond and had solid overall reviews. After reviewing all responses from mobile mechanics, I felt Rems had the best balance of reputation, cost, and fit for my specific needs. We set a window for him to arrive at our home; he arrived promptly within that window, enthusiastic and ready to get to work. The work was completed quicker than I expected, and he walked me through all that he discovered while doing the work. Price was very reasonable. A few days later I discovered some mild squealing coming from the rear, and asked Rems about it; he made a special trip to my house to check it out at no additional charge...turns out the rear shocks may be worn, but he showed me the rotors, pads, and snow shields were not causing the noise (rocking the van produced a similar noise to what I was hearing, confirming it was shocks over brakes). Since then, I've had no problems with the brakes (noise, stopping power, or brakes pulling to one side when applied). I feel like Rems works ethically/honestly, is responsive to customer needs, communicates well, provides great price-to-work balance, and they care about the outcomes they produce. Should be no stars !!! Rem is a "tech". In Vegas he works for Mobile Mechanic as well. Tem worked on our truck breaks. Pit new routers,break pads and calipers on the trucks. breaks were somewhat better but still soft. We trusted that he knew what he was doing. As we were driving back to Canada we quickly discovered the breaks were still not working. we had paid REM $2200. cash. USD so about $3000. Canadian. when we got back to Canada we took the truck to local mechanic. The calipers were put on left on right side right on left side. also cross threaded a lug nut. cost $700 CDN. so approx $3700 for breaks. REMs boss Steve talked to REM when we called for a partial refund. I was told by Steve who said he was the dispatcher but found out he is the owner to phone REM. Now no one answers our calls.
