The oil was changed and my wife was Happy. Friday evening we were in the carpool lane heading into Phoenix when we heard a loud bang and continuous scraping noise. My gauges were fine, no smoke, no significant change in the ability to steer the car so I exited the freeway and pulled into the first safe place to stop. I called Sun Devil Auto and left a message (it was shortly after 6PM and they were closed). That phone call was not returned. We got a tow truck and paid for them to tow our vehicle to Sun Devil Auto. As of this writing, we haven't been reimbursed for the cost of the tow. I submitted the requested receipt on Saturday. Sun Devil called Saturday morning because our car was in their lot and they had our keys. I explained what happened. To their credit, there was no pushback and they agreed to do the repair. We were notified at 3:30 yesterday that the car was done. We were watching a movie at Harkins which didn't get out of until 30 minutes after they closed so I said we'd use our other set of keys to pick up the car and get the keys Monday. Bottom line - Exceptionally bad experience with the oil change, promising response (the jury is still out since we haven't been reimbursed for the tow) September 11- Update. When I picked up my keys on Monday Jacob promised to call when the towing reimbursement is approved. No phone call yet.

The problem I have is very common issue with jeep compasses: parasitic electrical draw (electronics not turning off when they should). I told sun devil employees that I'm bringing it to them because I'm tired of replacing batteries and want to get to the root of the issue, and they assured me they would fix it. Lo and behold, they call me and tell me the battery is the issue, it's not holding the charge. I told them the battery is like that due to the parasitic draw and if they just replace the battery it's just going to kill another battery. Their response was "well we warranty our work so just bring it back". So here I am, battery is dead again (5th battery btw) and I had to get my car towed to sun devil this morning. They have had my car for several hours now and I called to ask them if they are going to file a claim with my warranty company so that I can have a rental car in order to be able to go to work. Louie or however you spell his name had an attitude and treated me like I was unreasonable to ask if they're going to keep it overnight that they file a claim today so that I can have transportation, seems reasonable to me ESPECIALLY since it's coming back a mere few months later for the same exact issue! And ESPECIALLY since I tried to tell them replacing the battery will not fix the issue. He said something along the lines the lines of "well we haven't looked at it yet and things take time" seems to me like 6 hours is plenty of time to verify that the battery is dead. His response was to pick my car if I don't want them to look at it. I repeatedly asked him if he could at least give me an estimate of when they would be able to file the claim and he just kept saying he didn't know maybe tomorrow. Horrible service and ethics. These people do shoddy work, get people to buy parts and get you in and out, and claim if the customer has any issues they will fix it under warranty. What they don't tell you is they will put your warranty work on the back burner while they do all the customer pay work first because they want the money in hand now, versus spending time to fix their mistakes.

Last year I started using GY Tire serv. in Litchfield.The first truck for oil serv. Is a 4X4 w/ large tires and 8in lift. I told them please rotate tires because I will be getting an alignment at a place that accommodate this size truck. When I picked up my the tires were not rotated. ( I marked the tires with white chalk) The tires then were rotated. Second chance: 2006 PU that only gets used about 6K mi. per year and is garage kept Again the tires were not rotated I was told because the tires were almost 8yrs.old ( They are less than 6 yrs.) when I called them out they were willing to do the rotation. It was late and i was tired to wait. Last chance: 2006 Toyota Tires were not rotated! I was told they needed replacing soon.( Tire depth on my paper work on all 4 reads 4/32.) One tire is newer do to a replacement late last yearIt reads 7/32. Thank you GY tire serv. on Yuma rd. for confirming this last week,Thank You.for offering to replace at a prorated price. I was subjected to their taste in waiting room videos... language that would make a convict uncomfortable. VERY inappropriate and downright offensive. Thankfully there were no children present. We're talking very sexually and racially explicit stuff. Unbelievably there were TWO corporate reps there allowing this! In regard to my car, this place tried to rip me off and say there was something wrong with my brakes. I just had my front and back brakes done 2 weeks ago. There is absolutely nothing wrong with my brakes. They were simply trying to drum up business by lying. Especially laughable was when they explained that they thought my brakes seemed "spongy", using a subjective term so as to carefully not point to anything specific which could get them in a lot of trouble with the better Business bureau. They knew there is nothing wrong with my brakes but thought because I am a woman they could get away with flat out lying. To say that I don't recommend this place is an understatement. I'm still in shock at the lack of professionalism and downright abuse of their customers. Suffice to say I will never, ever go there again and DO NOT recommend anyone else subject themselves to this extremely unprofessional, poor excuse for a business.

The front suspension of my old Sonata had been making a variety of noises for a while; I took it to this Brakes Plus (Indian School and Jackrabbit) to have it checked out. They determined the problems were control arms and ball joints. They expeditiously repaired these, and so now -- no more squeaky front end noises! Yes! Silence is golden, right? I've been patronizing Brakes Plus and this particular location for a number of years because (1) the parts and labor charges are always reasonable (2) they apprise me of other issues I need to be aware of without any pushy up-sale techniques, and (3) everyone I've encountered at this business falls in the category of "good people". Specific kudos going from me to Rose and David, who always take good care of me in ways like offering coupon discounts without my even asking and ensuring warranties on parts are honored -- again without my asking. Always pleasant and considerate, these two. So, bottom line don't hesitate to take your vehicle to these folks to have issues diagnosed and repaired. They work on a lot more stuff than just brakes, so give them a call to see if they handle whatever repair you're looking for. My last review I remarked I'd give them a 5 star review if the rate on oil changes were more competitive, and I found that their rates are actually quite competitive, especially when you use the coupon discount you can find by going to their website. No complaints here!

The service technician rotated the larger tires to the front and smaller tires to the rear incorrectly. This mistake caused the shocks and struts to blow out costing me $1300 in repairs and irreversible damage to the tires that need to be replaced. I spoke with the region manager John Louis and he said it would take about 2 weeks to retrieve and review the video and get back to me. That took a month. After continued follow up, we finally talked and they admitted the tech made a mistake. He said he would get back to me in a few days to discuss a resolution... That was 3 weeks ago. I've called and texted John multiple times but no response. He's ghosted me!!! Bottom line, if you can't do a tire rotation correctly, something tech's learn on day 1 of mechanic school, I wonder what can you actually do that I could trust would be done correctly. If ghosting a customer is there way of doing business, it clearly shows how they feel about you as a customer. Completely unprofessional on both fronts. I won't be going back and I suggest you go somewhere else too... I'll be taking them to small claims court and I'll be asking for more than the $1300 now.

I brought my car into Brakes Plus and was greeted by Mark, who was very welcoming and professional from the start. Originally I was quoted for one issue, but after taking a deeper look they found out the problem was actually bigger and that the compressor needed to be replaced. Even though it turned out to be a larger repair than expected, the team did a great job explaining everything clearly and keeping me informed. When I came back to pick up my car, Mark happened to be out of the office, but David stepped in and took great care of me. Both of them were exceptional and made sure the whole process went smoothly. The communication throughout the entire experience was excellent, and the mechanics clearly knew what they were doing. My AC is now blowing colder than it ever has before and the car feels great. Big shout out to David and Mark for going above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future.

While visiting my folks in Goodyear, AZ, I came out to a completely flat back tire on my car…read more I wasn't sure where to go to get help, so I 'Google'd' Tire Shops in Goodyear, AZ. Although many tire shops came up in my search, one company stood out to me -- that wasn't even a dedicated tire shop. It was Wilhelm Automotive. The reason they stood out to me was because of the glowing reviews from customers, like myself, who have limited knowledge surrounding auto-repair needs... or knowing who to trust! (Especially for those of us who tend to feel intimidated by auto-repair shops that have been dishonest, are all about 'up-selling' services & parts you don't actually need and/or those who are 'shady' at best. I was also surprised to see an auto repair shop that came up on a tire shop search. But right at the top of their reviews, there was a review surrounding Wilhelm providing excellent service that involved tires/tire fixes and replacement. After filling the tire up with air, I noticed a nail with a slow leak, and since they were so close, I drove out their way. I just have to say that deciding to go to Wilhelm Automotive when I was having an issue with my tire was the best decision I could have ever made. Not only did they fix my flat tire, they also looked at and fixed another tire that I had been having issues with. No shop in Los Angeles would fix it for me, insisting that I needed to purchase a brand new tire (which actually meant buying two new tires because of the all-wheel drive situation on my 2015 Subaru Outback). Even from the exact tire shop that I had originally ~ and recently~ bought 4 brand new tires from!!! Wilhelm Automotive fixed both tires no problem and with none of the issues I was repeatedly told there would be, by multiple shops I had asked to. (I was a bit shocked, and when I asked how they ended up fixing it... with a patch or plug? I was told that they did a combination of both to ensure that the tire is solidly and permanently fixed, is completely safe and 'as good as new')!! They also had my passenger side windshield wiper blade in stock (that I had asked about as well) and replaced it for me after fixing my tires. When I went up to the counter to pay my bill after my car was brought out for me (only 40 mins later, I was told 'you're good to go! we're good! just please consider using us for any other car repairs that might come up')! I could t believe it!! I was in total shock... they wouldn't even let me pay for the wiper blade and I pretty much had to force them to, at very least, take a tip from me!!! I was ~delightfully~ in shock the rest of the day. I have made my folks (& their friends & neighbors) promise me to ONLY go to Wilhelm Auto from here on out!! I'm sorry to report that this review is {finally} here ~ so long after-the-fact, but life as a hard-working single Mom has a way of coming in between such things. But exceptional, honest, professional and CARING service is never out of fashion -- nor is a review for it!! ********************************** It's incredibly rare to find an auto repair shop these days that encompasses all of these and more!! I'm extremely disappointed that I even have to write a review like this…read more I recently brought my truck into this shop to have the A/C checked it was blowing warm. They told me they could not find any issues so they did a drain and recharge with dye. $600 I asked for a copy of the machine report breaking down amount removed amount put in. I was told they would email it they never did. After picking it up, I drove straight home and parked it. Today, I opened my center console and discovered that my coin holder was missing. This wasn't something loose that could have accidentally fallen out or been misplaced. It was mounted into the center console and required effort to pry out and remove. It was taken. I contacted the shop and spoke with Eric. He told me he checked the technician's toolbox and said it wasn't there, suggesting that I must have misplaced it. That explanation simply doesn't make sense given how securely the holder was installed. What's most concerning is that if someone felt comfortable removing and taking something as minor as a coin holder full of change, it raises serious questions about what else could potentially be happening with customers' vehicles and belongings. Eric suggested I file a police report and stated that their employees are "too busy to steal." I'm not looking to get anyone into legal trouble over a coin holder, but I do expect honesty, accountability, and respect for customers' property. This experience has completely broken my trust in this shop. I will not be returning for future repairs or service, and now I'm left questioning whether the work performed on vehicles is even being done properly especially since I never got the email. To current and future customers: I strongly recommend removing all personal belongings from your vehicle before bringing it here. Update June 5th it's been over two weeks since speaking with a district manager. He was able to pull up and send me the work that was done to my vehicle. I was over charged for the service "performed" he then told me I would receive a refund for the overcharge of service. I reached out to customer service about it then Nick Lee called again informing me they would refund me the over charge in another way but still nothing yet. At this point I want my money back for it all this is a joke! They take my belongings They over charge me They tell me false information Stay clear of this place
