My go to maintenance shop! I absolutely LOVE this brakes plus location. They're are honest and tell me exactly what's wrong with my car. They're always finding ways to get a discount or lower the price if it's out of budget. And I can always trust that they've done the service right. Even on the rare occasion something doesn't work or isnt fixed , I can always come back and get everything corrected. I've never really had that problem though, usually whatever service recommended gets the job done. However after going in these last two weekends they didn't put down a mat to protect my carpet I know my car doesn't look the beta or isnt the newest car but I think all cars deserve to be treated the same especially when paying for a service. They usually put a mat down to prevent oil getting on the floor , I'm not sure what's been going on this last week or so. Last weekend it was one oily print , I didn't say anything and I should've because know my driver side carpet looks insane. Ac was checked here & was quoted $900 for schrader valve leak & new battery & new starter. I didn't go back for those services. I ended up fixing the leak myself for $80. I scheduled an online A/C check at brakes plus. My appointment was at 3pm and they were prompt (Much appreciated). They did the free visual A/C check and then let me know that they had to do a leak test which woukd be $100. My first thought was here we go, I thought this was a free inspection. They explained the difference and I was like okay go ahead ( I want to know where I stood with a possible repair). I was preparing for the worst because a lot of shops unfortunately are not always honest. They came back and to my surprise the repair was only $197. They were friendly, honest, and completed the service the same day. Also, they gave me a discount, bringing my total to $172. The valve was leaking and they had one in stock and replaced it. $172 out the door and my A/C is blowing cool air. I have to take it back for a free inspection in a week and will be doing a brake inspection. First time visiting a Brakes Plus and this location, based off this experience is second to none. I am disappointed. I feel like they were not being honest. I took my Tesla for wheel alignment last saturday. Jay checked me in. I clarified with Jay if they give free alignment check, he was pretty honest that it is free but it cost $199 if they have to make adjustment. Different person checked me out, upon checking out he charged me $199. I asked if they did any adjustment, he said no we did not. I did not make a big deal and just left. I called Monday to confirmed if they provide free alignment check and received same answer. I questioneed the person which so happened to be same person who checked me in. He flat out denied that nothing was adjusted and he can show me proof. A. My expectation is just like before they will show me the pre alingment report first and would ask if I wanted it get done. No pre and post testing report was provided to me, they said the printer is broken. They could have taken a picture insteadto show proof BUT they did not and just expect me to pay. I lost my trust on them. I used to tell my friends how good and trusted staff at Brake plus are.They are no different that the Goodyear nearby, At least they waived the fee when I ask for pre aligment testing report. I went in there today for a brake inspection , I explained to stoner the brake issues I was having , instead of taking a look first he assumed I needed brake calipers before service I refused and asked for a brake inspection and or brake flush . We argued and I left , took the car down the street to brake masters , they racked the car and found my rear brake hose had kinked causing no return of fluid to resivor. I have been taking my car here for years and everyone is always so professional and accommodating. They tell, and even show me what is going on with my vehicle before charging me or doing any service (much appreciated). Last time I went for a timing belt around their lunch hour and they even offered me some of their pizza! Came in for a tire alignment. Was told the wait for the service completion would be an hour and a half. After the allotted time, I returned to the store (was not contacted about any delay) to find out my vehicle had not been serviced yet. Only after I talked to an employee was my vehicle brought into the shop to begin the alignment. I had to wait an additional hour for the service. Poor communication from the Brakes Plus team and customer service. This seems to be a pattern for this location, upon my arrival another customer had a much worse experience than mine. Their vehicle had not been serviced correctly resulting in them waiting over 4 hours. Would not recommend coming to this location. read more

Called Johny this morning and brought my car in. Answered a few questions and they got my vehicle up for a free brake inspection. After about 20 mins Jared and Johny explained to me what was going on with my car. I felt like they both were super knowledgeable and honest men. I felt very informed and confident of my choice today. They quoted me just the front brakes and gave me information on the life of my back breaks. Premium brakes package with the lifetime warranty was $315 out the door and after discounts/coupons, I got an oil change as well so a total of $381 out the door for services today. I've had AC issues with my car, that I put up with for a long time because I dreaded having to take in, be Outrageously charged for everything, and given the run around. This was DEFINITELY NOT the case here. They were very friendly and helpful. Gave me two free inspections for my Break Rotors and AC. Patiently answered my questions and took the time to make sure I was informed about the work that needed to be done. So I was able to make informed decisions. Took my Saturn Vue in for a brake check and after almost 2 hours of waiting with just the hood up and very few times of a mechanic looking at it got an estimate of over a $ 1000.00 for work which did not have new pads on the list. After going to another mechanic, it needed new pads all around. The work order from Brakes plus stated that the master cylinder in the rear needed to be replaced! Made an appointment to have my alignment checked as my front tires were shaking when driving. Upon arrival Johnny greeted me and was very professional. I explained what I had going on with my car and he knew right away what it was. We walked to my car and he showed me with the AZ heat tires are getting warped or bubbled rather quickly. My vehicle steering was pulling towards the right when I took my hands off the steering wheel. The steering wheel was not centered straight and when I went at a higher speed my vehicle was shaking. It was suggested that I might have a suspension issue but that my tires were good to go. I had scheduled, online, an appointment for an alignment service with the store. Upon arrival I walked in the office and observed a jovial conversation happening between a consumer and an employee. Soon after I was acknowledged by this employee and assured that they would be right with me. The office had a pleasant tone of energy that was positive and bestowed confidence to anyone that walked in. This was the atmosphere that was brought by the employees as they interacted with each other and the other individuals having their vehicle worked on. When it was my turn, the General Manager, Allen, was energetic, honest, and welcoming. After the service was completed I was once again greeted with a positive attitude by a gentleman named Jared who quickly attended to me. It goes without saying that every person at this store had a smile and bestowed such grace in their outreach which was calming and appreciated. Mr. Allen then addressed the alignment that was fixed and reviewed the findings on two, not one, but two tires that I was driving on that were "ticking time bombs". His concern was communicated with care. I appreciated that since I felt as though someone was looking out for me this time. At one point the Manager stopped and recognized his technician, Sony. Giving Sony a "good ol boy" for being the individual who identified the tires and saw concern. To witness a general manager giving credit to a technician without skipping a beat in front of a client was an impeccable moment for myself. It spoke volumes to what "Team" really means to this location. It was the best customer service experience and gave the "cherry" on top feeling when he had done this. What an incredible team. Now the kudos in a nutshell. There is a line of excellence that I stand on. On this line there is valor, integrity, brilliance and honesty. Followed by empathy, understanding and true grit to get the job done by doing the right thing because it is the right thing to do. Now the individuals that stand on this line do not speak to those who are below this line when there is an issue, we do not attempt to explain or argue with these people. Why? Simply because there is no point in doing so. The ones who fall under this line give excuses, are not open to change, do not want to change and they love to complain without taking action to better themselves. They refuse to help anyone but themselves unless it benefits them in the end and worse do not take ownership in their mistakes. So what would be the point in interacting? I stand proudly on this line. At times it is lonely and can be scary when it seems as though it feels you are truly alone in the world, especially in the world we live in today. So you have to ask yourself a question now, are you below this line? Or are you standing on this line right next to me, shoulder to shoulder? Without a doubt, I know that the individuals at this business location are standing with me on this line, shoulder to shoulder, sharing this line of excellence that only we can be truly proud of each and every day. I had a Saturday 1:00 brake appointment and arrived on-time. After about 75 min I looked outside and saw my car still in the lot. Asked for an update and was told they are running behind. Should be about 5 min. 15 min later the car is still there, so time to leave. Why I wasn't told they were behind when I checked in I don't know?? When getting my keys, they didn't ask about rescheduling or offer any type of discount. I guess schedule early morning or be prepared for a long wait. I took my 2005 4Runner in for an alignment check after replacing the struts and shocks. It was found to not be out of alignment, but they adjusted the steering center (which wasn't off center when I went there). I drove around on several straight roads and everything is good except that the steering wheel is slightly right as the wheels are centered going straight on level road. I took my vehicle back to be corrected, and after waiting a while, they adjusted the steering center again. It's better than it was, but not perfectly centered as it was when I took it in. I sort of expected my alignment to need adjustment after replacing the front struts, but it seemed fine. I took it for an alignment just to be sure that it's right. Maybe the mechanic just felt that he HAD to do something, since the alignment was already good, but I wish he would have left it alone. I've had alignment work done here before and the work was perfect the first time on those previous occasions. Pricing and location is good, but I doubt I'll be back at Brakes Plus anytime soon. They were polite and professional, but I'm not happy with my steering being off center now. I took it back for a 3rd time this afternoon, but the alignment guy was gone for the day, so I'll try again Tuesday. Update: The next day, I took my 4Runner elsewhere and the steering center was corrected within a few minutes. I also got most of the tool damage repaired. My steering is centered and perfect now. If you're particular and care about your vehicle, you may want to avoid this place. read more

took my car in at 8am on my only day off due to really bad pulsation. they quoted me $1350 for 3 repairs which were front brakes , back brakes and some whee bearings but employee told me " for the pulsation to go away you really need to do these 2 which were front brakes and back brakes so I said okay let's do that if it fixes the problem he said yes and they went away with it . 6 hours later I finally get my car back with my windshield cracked , my DASHCAM disconnected and the problem still occurring. only to find out they took my money basically to change out my brakes when that wouldn't even fix the problem and all I was able to get from them was a " this was a misunderstanding " never going back again . read more

Lately I've had several friends of mine tell me that they're upselling females for parts they don't need and just a lot of really incorrect stuff. So I took my car in and they tried to sell me $2,000 worth of repairs none of which would have even fixed the problem. I took it straight down to another automotive repair shop and it cost me 711. And it was for a different part that brakes plus wasn't even going to change so I still would have had the problem with them after paying $2,000. So yes they do try to upsell. The guy I spoke to was very patient and explained to me that they go by each individual car and that the maintenance on every car is different I am so glad I called to talk to them.
