Small boba shop with a variety of selections more than just boba. Great price and friendly service. Boba was great. They also offer a super size which is amazing for those warm days when a large just isn't enough.

    My new fave, pistachio smoothie

Still the best boba spot around! And I can trust to turn my cup upside down and the seal not break on me lol and I absolutely love that they have a variety of sizes and flavors to choose from. I don't care what anyone says, they're still my fave years later

First of all, the service was AMAZING! Seriously friendly and attentive staff. The boba was decent, but nothing special. I definitely like my Thai tea to have more of a punch of tea flavor. I also ordered the chicken bites and fries, the seasoning was tasty but so salty I couldn't finish the meal. I'd go again if I was nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Omg I hadn't been to a quickly since my college days in Berkeley like 15 years ago lmao. Very nostalgic. This one is super small inside. Lots of drink options and a few food - I think I saw popcorn chicken, fries, bubble waffles and some type of pandan pudding with ice cream. I tried the rose milk tea with mini boba (they were out of regular boba but I ended up liking the mini!). Boba were nice and chewy and tasted fresh. The drink was extremely sweet like very lol. Def would get less sweet next time. Also got the popcorn chicken with spicy seasoning (25 cents) and a honey mustard (25 cents). Chicken was tasty and a good fast snack.

Super size strawberry banana smoothie. Large white chocolate with ube and Boba

Staff, service, food and drinks were all amazing! I recommend this to everyone. They even have a cute little sitting area with small tables to enjoy your goodies. Everything was yummy

Horrible quality control. Served us a cup full of raw popcorn chicken. Batter isn't even cooked all the way.

    Honey Green Milk Tea..

Budget boba and budget quality. Purchase a matcha latte and honey green milk tea. Matcha latte didn't appear to have real matcha and tasted nothing like matcha. Honey green tea had the honey at the bottom of the cup and not diluted into the drink. Also tge honey tasted artificial. You place your order outside and only have to go orders. Nice staff and fast service.

Came here for national boba day even though I'm not a boba fan. I just like the drinks lol. Got the super in both of these: -Taro. Did not taste good. Had a weird after taste. Would not get again. 2/5 -Caramel milk tea with egg pudding. Really sweet, so I let all of the ice melt. Delicious though. 4.5/5 Would I recommend? Sure, but they've always been a hit or miss for me. Decent pricing and location close to me were why I chose Quickly over other places I know would have been better.

Tamarind & pineapple slush with mini boba and crystal boba
    Connie C.

I'm not much of a Quickly fan in general but this store had some stuff that's out of the ordinary. They have buko pandan desserts and got tamarind flavored drinks! Not just your usual milk teas and flavored teas. They also have some specialty slushies like coconut cookie crumble. They also serve eggpuffs here, with drizzle options for extra flavor. The store is by the entrance of a small strip mall, hard to miss. Plenty of parking during covid, you can wait in your car or in a few of the socially distanced chairs. They call out your name to pick up your order. Their tamarind flavored slush is great, it's on the tart side, probably better off pairing with something sweet. I was debating between pineapple and mango, ended up with a pineapple. I think I finished the slush a bit too fast with that combo. I've had their house milk tea and green tea. Green tea had very good tea flavors, which i was not expecting. The worker there said the house milk tea is pretty popular, it had good tea flavors but I didnt have a sweet tooth for the regular sugar level. Lots of surprises here.

Can I bring my own reusable cup? And also, are there any non-dairy milk substitute/options like almond milk or soy milk for the milk tea?

lol, no. Go to 7-11. How would the baristas know if you cleaned your cup well anyway to have it touch their clean coffee cooking area. Plus they dont know where you've been. Potential spread of germs.

I especially love their matcha selection they offer so many unique flavors to choose from. On my most recent visit, they were unfortunately out of the banana cream matcha even though it was still listed on the menu . The space itself is open and inviting, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. They also offer food, which I haven't tried yet, but I've heard great things especially about their waffle dessert that everyone seems to love. Definitely planning to try that next time! I also ended up going about 10 minutes before closing, which I normally try to avoid, but I didn't realize they closed at 9 PM. Ordering was super easy thanks to the self-service kiosk, and my drink was ready in less than two minutes. I ordered the crème brûlée brown sugar boba latte, and the crème brûlée topping was thick, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The brown sugar milk latte itself was definitely on the sweeter side. I think I would've preferred it if it had been made with milk tea instead of just milk, since the tea would've helped balance out the richness and sweetness from both the brown sugar and the crème brûlée. Even so, it was still a tasty drink. The inside of the shop is really cute and very clean. I noticed a few people working on their laptops while I was there, and it seemed like a nice place to hang out for a while. They also don't blast music in the background, so it's easy to have a conversation or get some work done. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other drinks because several of them looked really good.

I can't speak to the tacos sold at a place that does drinks as I haven't tried them, but I can say the following: Ambiance (3/5): Small but cute, they don't skimp on AC even as it's a sunny little shop. Great for studying if you're able to nab a seat; they have three tables that seat 4 (maybe 5 if you bunch up on the bench). The natural lighting makes it pretty nice to so some work in there. They have an extension cord with multiple outlets tucked in the corner under the corner table. Service (4/5): Server was friendly and quick. I'm glad he asked if regular milk was okay because it reminded me that it's not for my husband. It's a small thing but it's appreciated! I also loved the little surprise of getting some extra smoothie in a small cup, perfect for my daughter. Why can't other shops be like this? Appreciate it! Drink (4/5): The strawberry banana smoothies tasted fresh. Real fruit bits and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. My husband and I both noted that it had great flavor. My only gripe was that it was still a bit icy; it was hard at times sucking the smoothie out of the boba straw we used. If it were blended fully and smoothly, I would say it would be near perfect. Would we come back? Based on this experience, if we need a quick stop for a drink before the freeway, this makes for a good stop. I wouldn't mind trying out one of their match drinks next time (those look pretty good)!

For my very 1st review as an official Yelp Elite All-Star (which I extremely earned by doing 31…read morereviews in 1 month last month!!!), I choose to do my 1st February, 2026 review on this gem of an Asian-owned business in the heart of Carson, California: Avalon Cafe & Boba! It may be a small establishment for now, but this little place has such a BIG heart and quality via their in-house drinks and foods! My very 1st taste of this place was thanks to my wifey for bringing home their Chicken Pesto Sandwich; which was the thing that got me HOOKED and wanting to try more of their stuff! Everything from its texture balanced out with the juiciness of the grilled chicken, toasty grilled bread, their seasonings and all around flavor just straight up HITTTT! For $10.75, it's honestly not a bad sandwich and I put it up against any other delis around Southern California because it is that damn good, IMO. Now...originally, we wanted to try another spot near this place, BUT there was a line and we didn't want to wait, SO ....we ended up going to Avalon Cafe & Boba instead. It was meant to be because I wanted to honestly try their other foods as well as their drinks. I believe my wifey got the Peachy Like Me with lychee if I'm not mistaken? while I got their regular iced Thai Tea. Her drink was very refreshing and my drink was great because it wasn't watered down with too much ice like other Thai Tea spots. Food-wise... Like I stated... I wanted to try their other stuff, so I ended up getting their super proteined-up Breakfast Croissant! I told the owner to just load me up with that ham, cheese, bacon and sausage, so he did!!! LOVED IT! Tastes way better in gourmet quality compared to donut shops. Hard to fully explain, but you have to just try it for yourself. I also wanted to try their Pastrami Melt and damn.... Bruhhhhh... compared to other famous delis out there, THIS was just amazing because you got that crunch from their toasted/grilled bread, along with their specially seasoned pastrami with all their fixins! It's not even oily or too drippy! Nothing but perfect balance and such a gourmet/homely flavor compared to other pastrami delis!!! On the side, I had some of their seasoned tater tots, but the sandwiches stole the show for me. All in all, this little place was just so warm and welcoming all around literally out of nowhere. It was our jump-off, but ended up being such a hero/star/main eventer in our hearts and tummies that day of rejected hunger due to the other spot nearby being too trendy and popular to where we couldn't partake in that other journey; but hey... Avalon saved the day and it was such an F'n delicious experience! THANK YOU and YES! We WILL be back to try the other drinks and foods!!!

I told him I wanted to mix matcha with thai, and he was honest enough to tell me that it probably wouldn't taste the way I was expecting because they use powder, and it doesn't always blend well. I appreciated him so much for that because if I had spent money on a nasty drink, I would've been upset. So my backup plan became the Fruity Booty, and it was SO good. I don't remember everything that was in it, but I know it had mango and strawberries. The only downside was that it melted super fast. By the time we got back to the car, there was already juice collecting at the bottom of the cup. Even with that, it was delicious. I've ordered twice now, the most recent time left me with the "yeah I'm not coming back" feeling. I place the uber eats order: 2 shrimp fried rice 2 garlic noodles with filet mignon, peppers & onion 2 popcorn chicken The issue was the service. There were 2 very young girls working the front end. They took forever to acknowledge me waiting at the counter for my pick up order. When one of them finally approached me I showed her my phone and said that I had a pick up order via uber eats. She disappears for 10 minutes. Comes back out and started doing other stuff, gives me no update or anything. I waited an extra 25 minutes after my "promised time" on uber eats. I understand that the younger gen doesn't talk to people but that's just crazy, like at least update the customer ?? If I was a delivery person for someone an extra 25 min wait is insane They even forgot about another lady that was also waiting... The shrimp fried rice is pretty good, of course there's only like 4 shrimps in the entire container. The noodles are okay, obviously they're garlic noodles so you'll have the heavy garlic breath. Very oily and slippery, feels like it'll break my skin out. Popcorn chicken is not traditional to what I am personally used to. One of the pieces had a bone in it and I'm glad it was me and not someone else in my family that got it. There's flavor, the breading is weird and doesn't entirely cover it? Either way, I haven't been here in years and I think this solidified that I don't need to come back. The outside says Veo cafe now. They only use the door on the side for entrance. Still same ambiance and hiccups light up signage inside. Restrooms inside. Street parking or in a free plaza behind it.
