Had to get 20 drinks for a party to pick up as soon as they open. I paid for it in advance. Owner was super nice and got it done right on time. He even call me to let me know when it'll be done. (My friends commented that he doesn't seem nice, but he is super nice when I chat with him in Chinese ) Drinks were yummy as usual. Great addition to my party!

Still the BEST popcorn chicken available! Juicy, spicy, fried to perfection not to mention those pieces of fried basil are delicious. I keep coming back just for the popcorn chicken. I don't understand why other places do not include fried basil which elevates the dish and why other places are unable to make it spicy when I asked for the maximum spice level. Only thing I wish for would be sweet and sour sauce with this delicacy. Place is a bit run down but I don't care much for aesthetics as long as what I'm going there for is above par. Parking can be tight if you arrive when the plaza is busy. Cash only.

Came here for a papaya milk and it was alright, but the guy at the register was rude and unhelpful. Shook his head when I asked for a regular size drink and told me "medium or large." Don't expect the best quality or service here, but it's a classic boba joint in the heart of San Gabriel. Cash only btw!

Cash only! And no bills over $20. The interior is quite old and they didn't have a lot of helpers in the front so it was one person making the drinks and taking your order. I ordered fries for $1.96 which is significantly cheaper than other boba shop (their fried tempura which is my second go to was also a lot cheaper at $2.99). The fries came out in around 5 minutes were just as good as any other boba shop and it was nice and warm! Definitely worth it for the price and will go back to try their drinks!

    Small front, been here forever.

I didn't want to write a review because I want to keep this particular Quickly a secret! It's a small mom & pop style boba shop even though they got stores around the world. It's not the best tasting milk tea or green tea but provide excellent value! I bought 3 large drinks for $6. Sometimes I don't care too much and want some basic green tea or milk tea and they give me what I want. The place has been almost the same for a decade or two. The food is basic Taiwanese minced meat rice and its delicious and cheap! I come here all the time, especially when I don't really know what I want. Don't come here when you're craving something really yummy. It almost feel like getting food fast but with rice and boba. I'm happy with the place.

Would give 3 and a half stars but I feel bad so I am rounding it. Decided to give this place a try since I was nearby! There's a sign that says 98 cents boba milk tea but that is NOT true. The boba milk tea is actually $1.50 for a small, and $2.05 for a large. I also got a Wintermelon Juice for 98 cents. There is also regular black iced tea for the same price. The boba is chewy and the milk tea is a bit flavorless(it may have been sitting for awhile or either they did not add enough sugar) but I mean you get what you pay for right! One of the best value Quicklys I have been to, from someone who has been to many Quicklys location, but this isn't one of the best quality ones.

Quicklys is like the original equivalent of a Starbucks. Its on "almost" every corner of a neighborhood near you. There are tons of different private ownership of these establishments. This one on San Gabriel Blvd is in my favor for the best one around. It's a bit beat up looking, yes from being around when orbit was the hit spot for Pokemon cards in 1999 and 2000. Not sure if it's been around longer. Anyways. This place holds very dear to me on terms of affordable milk tea and great food for an inexpensive price. 6.50 for a popcorn chicken rice combo with a free drink of black tea or I forgot the other (2018 current price). The food is tastier in my opinion compared to the Alhambra location near the wendys on Las tunas. Also they don't pack your Togo in a styrofoam container. The chicken is alot crispier and more seasoned. The pickled veggies is the winner with fried tofu and the rice with the minced pork and green beans, along with the tea egg. I've managed to come here budgeting for a filling meal for under 7 bucks and can't complain. It's always filling and VERY tasty but also inexpensive. Call ahead for orders or just show up. Thanks Quickly (San Gabriel) for always keeping it old school but fresh. FYI: cash only.

Both were very refreshing, and I really loved the sauce on the bakka salmon in combination with the mint leaves. Since I'm a huge seafood lover, I ordered the Thai royal curry with lobster tail, lime steamed Chilean sea bass and the royal crown fried rice. This was my first time trying curry and I found it delicious, I'd love to visit Star Leaf again specifically for this dish. I really enjoyed the texture of the fish roe on top of the fried rice - I've never had something like this before. I also ordered the truffle wok seared noodles with beef (I liked the mushrooms in this dish). For dessert, I had the Vietnamese coffee flan and the pink mekong. I loved the presentation of the pink Mekong, and the various fruits were yummy. As for the atmosphere, it was very cozy and I took a lot of nice photos in the front of the restaurant by the pond. The brisket is so tender and very ample, but it's not fatty, it's very lean. The pickled veggies add that nice crunch and balances out the flavors of the meat and light mayo. The cilantro and greens are classic Viet additions and greatly appreciated! Add some pickled jalapenos and that bite is just HEAVENLY! 10/10 (note: the beef consume was just ok haha it was nice to have on the side but I didn't like the dip like I normally do with things like birria tacos) THE FRIES! I love these fries! I asked for light seasoning and it was PERFECT. The crisp was perfection (lightly battered) and the inside was still nice and soft. I love me a good side of fries, this was a pleasant surprise! Now the Santa Ana pho was good, but I don't think I'd order it again. The flavors weren't unique enough for me to justify the hefty price tag. They were generous with the meat, but for nearly $30 after tax/tip, that's a bit too much for me. If you're a light eater, this could feed 2 people!! I would order a different pho next time though as the broth was pretty clean (didn't taste too salty) and they do offer extra noodles for free! Overall, I definitely plan to come back! Come check out this place and MAKE SURE to get the brisket sandwich!! Parking was great and it's inside the Glendora Public Market so there are plenty of options for your fam and friends. Seating was ample, space was modern, it was a great Sunday hang. Note: as with most food halls, it's self service for most things. Bus your own tray and I recommend bringing your own water or grab a drink at one of these places!

I ordered the Tai Lan, which is a fun cross between phở and a noodle salad. Sliced tender ribeye sits over garlic oil phở noodles on a bed of greens and fresh herbs, tossed with a shallot tamarind sauce, topped with crispy garlic, and served with a side of their 24-hour bone broth to sip or pour over. The ribeye was genuinely tender, the tamarind sauce had a nice tangy-sweet kick, and the crispy garlic tied it all together. Added some sriracha for a little more flavor and to give it a kick. Best phở I've ever had? No. But it's a clever modern take and I left very full and very happy, which is exactly what I needed. And if phở isn't your thing, the menu sprawls into wagyu phở, garlic noodles with filet, lomo saltado, sandwiches (which look amazing) and even Vietnamese coffee with sea salt foam. Plenty to explore. This is now the first spot I'd send anyone to in the Glendora Public Market, and a real step up from the ramen place that used to be in the same space. Already plotting my return.

I am genuinely thrilled to have such an upscale, quiet, and relaxing restaurant right here in my neighborhood. You can truly taste the chef's passion and dedication in every dish. Every time I bring friends here, they are absolutely amazed and delighted by the flavors. We ordered quite a few dishes today. The highlight was the Chilean Sea Bass. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!
