I came on my lunch break abt 3:30. I guess earlier lunch crowd wiped them out because they were out of so much. But I was able to get me some oxtails and curry chicken. It took a good min for it to be cooked and I was really the only sit down customer but I believe they had a lot of take out orders to make. Anyways, once the food came out it was well worth the wait. Meat was so tender and flavorful, cabbage was beautiful and cooked perfectly. Rice was awesome and those yams definitely were not from a can. Overall good experience and I would certainly go back. Only reason why I knocked down 1 star was because I couldn't see what their grade was, I don't know if I completely overlooked it but usually I would expect it right there in plain view behind a register.

I expected more spent 139.00 on food for it to be nasty. Service was good they definitely had plenty of service but I was highly disappointed

This is my FAVORITE Jamaican restaurant in Charlotte. I moved to Atlanta and make it a point to come here when I'm in town. It's my JAM! Authentic, flavorful and ridiculously delicious. Go here, NOW! Ambience: Last year they moved to larger location with booth seating, as well as counter seating. I LOVE the counter seating, you can watch the ched do his thing. The restaurant is clean, large and well lit. If you come in on Friday or Saturday you'll probably hear the owner jammin' along to the music. Great music btw. The good: THE FOOD!!!! Good Lawd it's good! I have never been disappointed with an order. Things to note: If you order anything seafood related or vegetarian, the cook time is about 30 minutes. The plates are plentiful. Tip: order to go, even for dining in. They stuff the containers. My go to is brown stew red snapper with rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. The snapper is a WHOLE FISH, head and all. My bf gets the curried veggies with rice and sweet potatoes. I have never had a bad meal here. Everything is flavorful, prepared well and plentiful. The bad: Sigh, the service. When they relocated they hired a lot of inexperienced employees. They need to take the time to properly train them. Ordering can be frustrating and time consuming. The wait for food can be long at times. Order in advance, even for dining in. All in all, it's a solid restaurant that is going through growing pains.

We decided to try Quidley's since they were open until 9:00 p.m. We ordered ahead and went to pick it up. When we got there we saw quite a few people waiting for their food. My husband waited mostly outside since it was difficult to practice social distancing with the number of people waiting inside the restaurant for their food. We almost canceled the order since we were waiting at least a half hour for our order. Finally, we received it. We had the stewed chicken with rice and peas and cabbage. It was very good. My only complaint was that there was too much sauce and some of the chicken was tough, like it was overcooked. But overall it was very tasty and I would definitely consider returning. Next time I'd request that the food not be smothered in sauce. Hopefully they'll have a better system in place by then so we won't have to wait so long to receive our food.

Food was Super Authentic and Delicious! Best Oxtail I've had since I moved here from NJ! The cabbage was super fresh with great flavor. The staff was very nice and welcoming...and the restaurant was very clean which is always a bonus! We will be back for sure!!!!

I've eaten at a few Caribbean cuisine spots around Charlotte and I have to say this is the best I've eaten thus far. The restaurant is very clean and spacious and the service was good, but a little slow. The food was very flavorful and fresh. I was just a little saddened that they were out of Cocoa Bread... The food is cooked to order and is well worth the wait. The Brown Stew was so flavorful, I could've eaten/drank it by itself lol. The cabbage was also flavorful and still had a fresh crunch to it- it wasn't mushy at all. The plantains were also fresh as well. I will most certainly return here soon to eat and hope they have some cocoa bread next time :)

I believe the chicken in this patty is not cooked all the way.

Not good, a waste of money. Took 15 minutes to get this and ended up having chicken not cooked all grey an mushy. Do NOT recommend

I hate doing this because, I've had so many good experiences. But yesterday was the last straw for me. We ordered 3 different plates, the rice was not cooked all the way(yes it was hard). The fish was super dry & had barely any flavor. I love supporting this restaurant, but the owner needs to do some revamping. It took almost 2 hours to get food that was awful.

I have been contemplating eating here for quite some time, I'm very skeptical because finding good authentic Caribbean food is like looking for a needle in a haystack in Charlotte. This meal was as expected. The brown stew consisted of 4 hunks of overcooked meat (not fresh) brown sauce and a piece of potatoe.. no veggies in the stew at all. I'm very disappointed with the effort they put in this dish. Definitely will not return. Mama Caribbean's is the best spot if you're looking for real Carribean food in Charlotte.

So while my never-ending battle to get my beers counted in real-time still remains the bane of my ubiquitous existence here, at least the staff make it a little less maddening. To be fair sometimes it is tech issues where the app (which I have a neverending love/hate relationship with) will decide to do some new, weird, baffling yet enraging thing that mucks up my beer count, but I can always count on my Ladies in Charge Izz & Kels to work their magic. I also gotta give shoutouts to my girls Maddie & Stella & Katie for always taking care of me and finding ways to turn my frowns upside down! I have enjoyed the different styles and breweries they have recently been bringing into the mix (I thought I had died and gone to beer heaven when I saw they had 6 yes SIX 3 Floyds beers on tap & in cans!), but have noticed they haven't been adding as many local NC beers like they used to, which makes it hard for a regular, such as myself, on her 17th plate to come in for $5 NC Drafts on Sundays. I appreciate the new daily specials on Fridays/Saturdays and showing more appreciation for BeerKnurds that have been added (notably 1/2 lunch for BKs on Tues from 11am-3pm), but REALLY REALLY wish they would do more stuff (as in ANYTHING) for MOUs (BKs w/5+ plates). All that being said, you really can't beat their $5 off any draft on the wall or hard liquors + wine Mondays or their create your own pizzas (might I suggest my personal creation & fav the "Tickle My Pickle?); the food menu is just solid as their kitchen staff are some of the best (and nicest) in the biz! So, if you're looking for a spot where the staff make the experience just as much as the beer & food and that is the literal embodiment of Cheers once you've established yourself as a regular, then look no further! Come for the great beer shirts/hats + collectible glassware and stay for the beer/booze, food, and people...until next year!

It's seat-yourself, so we had to pull a couple tables together to fit everyone. One thing to note: it was very warm inside, so I'd recommend sitting toward the back where it's more comfortable. My boys really enjoy this place, so I wanted to like it more, but the food was just okay and a bit pricey for what you get. Most items run about $14.99-$21.99, even appetizers are at entrée prices. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries appetizer ($15.99) after hearing they were "fire." The steak had good flavor, but the portion was light--fine for sharing, but not very filling. One entree, Big Dipper ($15.49), a roast beef seemed overcooked and there wasn't much meat on a large bun. Two people from the table ordered pizza. Neither ate more than 2 pieces. On the positive side, the beer selection is excellent, with plenty of options on tap and in bottles and cans--from Guinness to local IPAs. The atmosphere is also unique: plates cover the walls and ceiling from guests who've completed their beer challenge, which makes for a fun, quirky vibe you really have to see in person. Dart boards for those who want to be a bit more active. Overall, it's a great spot for beer and atmosphere, but the food and pricing didn't quite match the experience for me.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the staff who were courteous and attentive. They even took time to read my order back to me bc it was large. The restaurant is small with maybe 20 seats, mostly stools. For our limo, we opted for 4 Royales (2 patties, with cheese, LTO, pickles and special sauce) and one OG (2 patties, pickles, onions and special sauce) along with 5 orders of fries. They will also modify burgers upon request (I will not bore you with all my picky fams modifications). Let me say they are really impressive at packing everything in a custom box instead of a bag. My only complaint is that the fries and curds were smashed. The food is amazing, the burgers were great and my entire family raved about them. The cheese curds were good despite being smashed and the ranch sauce and special sauce were great. We did not really care for the cookies, they just had too much going on. You could tell the staff really cared about making sure guests had a great experience. That level of hospitality always stands out and made the visit even better. We started things off with the Choose 3 appetizer, and it was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We ordered the spinach dip, Wisconsin cheese bites, and queso, and every single one of them was delicious. The spinach dip was creamy and full of flavor, the Wisconsin cheese bites were perfectly crispy, and the queso was the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're done. The fries were served hot, perfectly seasoned, and crispy -- just the way I like them. The only downside was the burger bun. Unfortunately, it was cold and tasted like it came straight out of the bag. After a couple of bites, I ended up removing the bun and finishing my burger with a fork. Three of us ordered burgers, and each of our buns was cold. I highly suggest Cheddar's start toasting their buns -- that simple step would easily take their burgers to a perfect 5/5!
