The night we went they had live country music, which was really enjoyable and several patrons actually got up and danced. We went for happy hour, and the food was amazing! Generous potions, and the service was good as well. Happy hour pricing was good. I would recommend Quail Creek Café, but if going with friends you would like to have conversations with, the music is pretty loud so it makes talking a challenge. You get lush green grass, red mountain, and deep blue water views. @quillcreekcafe has a large covered patio overlooking their Raptor course. We popped in here after having no luck at Isabella's across the street and I'm so happy to have discovered this gem!! We had a larger group and they sat us without issues on the patio in front of the fireplace with a gorgeous view of the mountains. This is a more casual dinning spot but the service was friendly and attentive and the food menu had options for everyone! We started with the guac and chips which was a heaping serving with lots of large chunks of avocados, I had the shrimp Cobb as my main and it was such a well put together salad, my partner had the stirfry and enjoyed that! We finished with the cookie skillet which was as expected (delicious)! I would definitely come back as it was the perfect spot for a casual dinner out with friends!! Visited June 2025 I keep coming back to Quill Creek Café because... well, have you seen the view? It's like dining in a golf-and-garden magazine...pond, flowers, ducks, golfers, and a breeze that makes you forget your to-do list. It's where I go when errands run long or when I absolutely refuse to turn on the oven. The chicken wings? Crispy magic. I get the sauce on the side and always take extras home. And yes, my hubby has been known to order their famous Chicken Pot Pie in the middle of summer. It's huge, creamy, flaky, and way better than mine. Zero regrets. Also my gluten-free girlfriend absolutely loves the Club sandwich on gluten-free bread and her hubs loves the massive cheeseburger with mac and cheese in a tiny skillet (adorable and delicious). This is the only restaurant we visit for all of our special occasions- birthdays, holidays and anniversaries! We love sitting in the patio and enjoy watching the golfers, weddings or sunset. Our waitress Jessica did a great job and she made sure to account for my friend's dietary restrictions. They also did a great job on refills. You could improve just about everything ! I'm giving one star for the view , because the view is the only thing this restaurant has going for it ! From trying to reserve by phone ,no one picks up ,I had to call the golf shop and they went looking for the hostess ! We had dinner on Thursday 21 at 5.30 pm and the hostess did not even greet us ,just dropped us off at our table !!! Maybe some training for these 16 year olds ???? Two people chose the chicken quesadillas ,there was no chicken in them only corn ,unbelievable !!!! Then Emma our waitress who was nice enough until she wasn't ,dropped off the check while my husband was still eating !!!! We never asked for the check ,we were not finished !!! Then she disappeared and we had to flag down another server to get the dessert menu !!!! We had the brownie and the ice cream had freezer burn ,I told our waitress and she said oh I'll tell the kitchen ?????? She should have brought out another dessert or comped the dessert !!! Jessica! She needed to be listed first because she was an amazing server! Exceptional is an understatement- she made us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. She knew the menu, gave recommendations in every category, was attentive the entire time and made it a perfect experience. Despite the vitriol of my previous review, my family and I decided to relent and give this place another chance. We are glad we did. Handling of the bill was done in the traditional paper-based style, with nary a blasted iPad in sight, and all was again right with the world. Meanwhile, we all had great food at reasonable prices. Serving sizes were extremely plentiful and we all felt that we got a great deal for the money. Service was excellent as well. Way to go, Quill! I'm glad you apparently saw the error of your ways with that former iPad grab and have corrected it. We can now honestly re-rate you as five stars, recommend you to others, and will return. Came her for an early Mother's Day lunch with the family last Saturday and everyone was very satisfied. The Staff was well dressed, polite and attentive. We started with drinks and my brother-in-law and I had the Prickly Pear Margs, so good!! Then it was on to the entrees, I had the Chicken & Hatch Green Chili Enchiladas with the Poblano Chili Mac & Cheese as my side. I also asked if they had Jalapeños and was excited that they had fresh peppers so I asked for one grilled or fried. Everything was just delicious! We have been here only a couple of times when we came here to visit before moving here the end of last year. Will be looking forward to coming here on the weekend to try more items from the menu. We had dinner at QCC last night and the experience was disappointing. Our party of 4 sat outside which was nice. Great view of golf course. Beautiful evening. Our server warned us that they were short staffed and offered us chips and salsa as compensation for the fact that the kitchen was running behind which was a nice gesture. It went downhill from there. It took over an hour for our meals to come out. I and my friend's wife got the Prime Rib sandwich. Both dry and mine was tepid at best. Service was friendly but painfully slow as I said. We enjoy QCC but will hesitate booking again any time soon. read more

This is a great place to stop for a meal, the views are amazing and this location is fantastic for those of us who are in North Scottsdale. The outdoor terrace and fireplace area is huge and very inviting and the view across the pond is so lovely looking out into the GreyGawk golf course. I have been outside on the terrace many times, but this time it was a tad cool since the sun had set. I opted to stay inside and ordered the Nachos which were really good. We all ordered the Prime Rib sandwich, thinly sliced prime stacked on a warm roll with pepper jack cheese and a side of au jus and creamy horseradish sauce. I love this place and we come almost weekly. They have fabulous chicken and hatch green chile enchiladas that I have at least once a month. I also enjoy their nachos, teriyaki chicken bowl, and chicken pot pie. The French fries are some of the best in the valley. They cook them crisp and season with either buffalo or ranch. Can't decide, order them 50/50. Wine prices are excellent and they have a selection of finer wines priced more on the retail side and not the inflated restaurant prices we are all used to seeing. The Quill Cafe has become a family favorite spot for special occasions. It's a bit pricier as it's inside of a country club, but when you're willing to splurge a little it's a great spot to dine. I'm obsessed with their Navajo Corn Chowder, the best corn chowder I've ever had hands down. For their entrees, I've always stuck to their baby back ribs with are super tasty which come with seasonal veggies and I always choose their garlic mashed potatoes. I'm also a huge fan of their Halibut. It's cooked well and this time I subbed out the seasonal veggies for sautéed mushrooms which were yummy! They have a very large patio which is awesome during the nice months in AZ that overlooks the golf course. They have yet to fail my family! Always great service and food. The first thing that stood out was the unhappy ( hostess ) blond hair and jeans - she acted like customers are an inconvenience to her ... no warm welcome / no smile no HELLO . Just monotone mumbling with head down ( no eye contact ) - btw - at the time I came in their was about 20 customers in the whole place at most and those were being waited on and served food and attended too. so it's not like this hostess had any juggling or mass transits of people to seat or to manage or attend too. ( In fairness to the hostess I hope all is ok with her ans in her life as some of us just have bad days or come from a bad morning start or some personal problem that consumes us ) but we need to keep our composure if we're in the hospitality restaurant hostess biz as that's the first thing any customer will see -- your face your interactions ..
