I sold my vehicle to Quirk Volkswagen at the end of March and subsequently canceled the vehicle's registration. Shortly thereafter, I received a toll violation from New York showing my former license plate being used on a different Volkswagen vehicle. When I first contacted the dealership about this serious issue, I was told someone would call me back the next day. No one did. When I called again, the manager I had spoken with the previous evening appeared to have no recollection of the matter. After placing me on hold, he returned and informed me that my plates had been returned to me. When I advised him that I had photographic evidence showing my license plate attached to another vehicle in New York, he asked whether I was sure I had not received the plates back myself. I was then told that the General Manager would contact me the following day. Again, I received no call and was forced to follow up myself two days later. During that conversation, the General Manager (I believe his name is Jason) was not only unapologetic, but claimed that he had previously informed me that my plates had been thrown away and that someone must have taken them from the trash. No such conversation ever occurred. What makes this explanation particularly concerning is that license plates are not supposed to be discarded in the trash. Dealerships are expected to properly destroy surrendered plates. Hearing a General Manager suggest that my plates were simply thrown away--and then speculate that someone may have retrieved them from the trash--only raised further concerns about how this situation was handled. The most troubling aspect of this experience has been the complete lack of accountability and professionalism shown by management. This is not a minor customer service issue, it involves license plates associated with my former vehicle being used by another vehicle, resulting in toll violations being issued in my name. As a result, I have been forced to file a police report and spend my own time addressing a situation that should never have occurred. Equally troubling was the dismissive manner in which my concerns were handled. At every stage, I felt that my reports were minimized, questioned, or ignored rather than taken seriously and investigated appropriately. As a female customer, I was left with the impression that my concerns were not being treated with the seriousness they deserved. If I could give the quirk Volkswagen service center no stars. Took our 2018 Tiguan due to an unfortunate power surge from the battery. They changed the battery and the alternator. Then we got the car back and we didn't even drive it off the lot and the heat was not working. We had told them at drop off it wasn't working. They yelled at me and told me we didn't tell them. We brought it back and they said it was the motor for the AC and Heat. They changed that the car was saying it was over heating. When I had the car it was not over heating. They said it was the water pump and thermostat. They changed the water pump and thermostat. That did not fix the over heating issue. At this point I was extremely unhappy. They had had my car for 3 months. I asked if we could get a loaner since we had been extremely patient. I was told no we don't do that here. They had my car far another week stating that Volkswagen thinks it's the wiring harness. At this point we had put $6000 into this car and it was still not guaranteed to fix it. My husband also has stopped in after work to talk with them on multiple occasions. When stopping in he felt that they had no idea what was wrong with the car and just continued to charge us and giving him very little explanation. At the end we asked if we could get some sort of discount for all the issues they could not solve. They stated no if we do that our workers won't get paid. We now have pulled out our car and it is with someone else. I strongly suggest you do not bring your car here. They have no customer service and they hire young uneducated staff who does not know how to work on a Volkswagen. read more

It was like a dream when the GM told me he had a White, SEL Premium R-Line that just arrived on the lot!!! I told him we were an hour away and asked him to hold it for us and he did just that!!! I took my 2024 Id4 in because the battery wasn't performing with the claimed range of 200 miles its range is less than 100 miles The tech told me it was the charger I was using and the car was fine. I told him I used a lot of different chargers in the area. He laughed in my face. They kept the car for a few weeks returning it without fixing the problem. I tried to take it to other dealerships but they turned me away. I had to give them another chance to fix it. I went back in they told me to go to a charger to charger the car and take pictures at certain points text pictures to them They text me back saying everything was fine If I use the heat then I only get a 60 miles range. They told me that's perfectly fine. I am driving an EV that won't even take me 100 miles on a nice day. read more

Received an email from Kyle in the service department while I waited suggesting over $1,000 worth of work.. no one came to talk to me to explain why. Suggesting I need new brakes? After a year and a half? My services are free for five years so clearly adding on bogus charges will help make them money. So gross. I previously had a 2009 Jetta for over 10 years and had it taken care of in north Attleboro. The car was already 5 years old when I got it and they never added on random charges to make a quick buck. Requested, oil, filter, lube and tire rotation -nothing wrong, 8000 miles.Left there and a sensor illuminated. called when I got back home, told to bring back, I could not, had already taken time off from work. Returned 2 days later, sensor light still on. Also requested maps be updated. 3 hours later I asked for a progress report. Was told work in progress. 30 minutes later I took a walk around the facility. My car was in the service bay, no work being done. Went back to the service advisor to ask when would work start and approximate completion time. Was informed internet outage, nothing they could do. I was using their guest WiFi and was working on my phone. Another hour went by and I was called to the service desk that my vehicle was ready, no trouble found. VW sales departments appear to be well liked. Cannot say the same for the VW service departments. Definitely cannot be relied upon to solve issues, let alone try to understand them. Although cars today are electronics-heavy, they still have mechanical issues that are not fully understood by just reading a bunch of codes on a diagnostic reader (so glad we still have independent mechanics that still do try to understand the issues of a car). First Issue: Gave one of the VW service departments the TSB for a basic issue we had, and they ignored it (owner ended up fixing the issue themselves using the new replacement part number identified in the TSB). A very simple solution that was handed to them was ignored and instead replaced the part with the old part number. They literally were given the answers to the test, and they still failed. Second Issue: Later on, had a second issue (intermittent), brought it to a different VW service department (first place obviously was incompetent). They "worked" on it while it was under warranty and supposedly replaced a part. That didn't fix the issue. The warranty then expired. After a couple of weeks, the issue reoccurred. Brought car back for a follow-up which they put in minimal effort since the warranty expired (to their credit, at no charge) before they proceeded to wipe their hands clean to try to resolve it, as the issue did not occur while the car was in their possession. Now they choose to ignore all correspondence from the client who has provided additional observations to try and help understand the cause of the intermittent issue. Radio silence continues to this day (I am guessing they will respond to this review, though. Funny how that happens). I guess warranty work doesn't make them much money, so why bother supporting the client. In Conclusion: Wasted a lot of time with these VW service departments. The time that people waste at a dealership is usually reserved for the sales department (They love the standard delay tactic of "I need to talk to my manager"). I guess at VW, they back end load your valuable time (and money) and waste it during your service department visits. We still have the issue that they did not fix while it was under warranty. Top notch business model, if your definition of top notch is to ignore your client's needs and focus on sales (which isn't where their high profit margins are, so go figure). If your goal for a Return On Investment is zero, go to the VW service department. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and actually get your car fixed with an independent mechanic. read more

I have a 1999 Beetle w/54k miles on it. It's been dealer maintained its whole life & is in great shape. The check engine light came on & I called Quirk to schedule an appointment for service. They wouldn't take the appointment because they don't service cars that are more than 10 years old, even VW's. The average age of a car on the road today is 12 years. Hard to do business with a company that doesn't back its products. I won't be going back, other dealers are more than happy to service the car. read more

I bought a VW ID.4 1st edition which is mostly sold out around the country. We called ahead to ask about a test drive, they had it ready to go when we arrived and let us put our car seat in. They weren't super knowledgeable about the vehicle at first but gave us the literature we needed to answer our questions. They sold it at MSRP without unnecessary dealer upgrades or service plans, didn't pressure or rush us at all, tolerated our rambunctious noisy 3yo, and generally made it an easy experience. Attempted to have my seatbelt repaired because it was ripping. They accused me of allowing my dog to chew it and thus voiding my warranty. I end up with a bill for 400+ dollars to replace it. I was surprised to read so many of the negative reviews for this dealership. My experience was a good one. I went in with my husband so he could look at new cars. I had no intention of buying one myself until I laid eyes on the pretty little GTI over in used cars. Our salesman (Jason Plant) was understandably happy at the thought of selling two cars that day. That's what salesmen do. While he did my husbands paperwork, I went online and looked up the details on the car I wanted. The online price was lower than the price they quoted me in person. Also, their used cars do not display prices in the windows, guaranteeing you have to ask and endure a sales pitch to find out the price. Honestly, I expect such tactics from a car dealership, so I can't ding them for trying to make a little more money. Caveat emptor. As I was buying a used car, albeit one with a year or so remaining on its original factory warranty, I did opt for an extended warranty. It's entirely possible that the salesman and finance guy saw me coming, but for me, the peace of mind is worth the additional $20/month. In the end, they were able to get the payment down to less than my requested maximum, even with the extended warranty. The car had a couple of minor issues, but the maintenance guys worked to fix them before I drove off. I ended up having to return for a faulty computer module to be replaced, but it was done quickly. I will update this once I've had a couple of service appointments, but for now, I'm perfectly pleased with my new-to-me little car. read more

*IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME, SKIP THIS DEALERSHIP AND SHOP ELSEWHERE* Here's what I gather from my experience with this "dealership"... 1. Dishonesty is their policy. 2. They don't respect their customers time or wishes. 3. Sales driven with no customer service. 4. Should be reported to the BBB (which I've filed a complaint) and clearly in reading other reviews I'm not the only one. I was in the market for a 2019 Tiguan r line black edition... A fairly rare car. This dealership said they "had" and quoted me a price so far below average it was hard to believe. Ultimately it was because they never had the car. KEN was my "sales rep" over the phone. Really smooth talker we set up an appointment the next day to see the car. My appointment was for 6PM and it was a two hour drive for me to get there after a full work day. Well that morning by chance I happened to find the exact same R line available at a VW dealership local to me. I called that local dealer, letting them know I was going to make a two hour drive to see the same car (hoping to work out a deal and avoid the drive), and the local dealership said Quirk didn't have the car. WHAT?! Ken was seriously willing to let me drive 4 hours on the road after work knowing he didn't have the car? When I called him he acted like he had NO idea what I was talking about and said the local dealer asked to swap cars with them (quirk). EVERYTHING WAS A LIE. I asked Ken if he could make sure the car was there and he said "physically get up and go check to see it, and text me a picture"... as if I was bothering him to "get up and go check". I never got a text or a picture. But just as I would have had to head there to be there for 6 Ken calls and says he has someone looking at the car for 5:30 (and miraculously this "person ended up buying the car"). BUT Ken did say he had a model (a less expensive trim level from what I wanted) FOR MORE MONEY! I told him flat out what I was looking for and I wasn't willing to settle for anything else. What a joke, no other way to put it. I ended up buying the car locally because the honest dealership DID have the car, and the next morning Quirk marked it as "sold". I'd say they should be ashamed of their business model, but after reading others reviews it's possible management and ownership is the problem seeing as this "lying to get you into the dealership" is their business model. Avoid this place because your time is valuable. It's apparent how desperate they are for business because they will go to any length for it. I'm not blind to the fact that this can sometimes be a common pratice for shady dealerships, but when someone tells you they are not willing to negotiate on the type of car they want and you still don't respect that.. thinking you can sell them something else.. either their sales team is desperate or just ignorant. read more

Another month passes without responses to simple email questions and nobody seems to care. They obviously don't like to be called out for deceptive practices. Car is still not CPO because they didn't catch and address a recall from August 2019, a year before we purchased the car. If they performed the 100+ inspection required by VW to be certified, they would have caught it and addressed it. Now they are blaming it on a recall issued 2 months after purchase. I've finally given up and, for the first time in my life, filed a complaint for compensation with the BBB. Buyer beware. I was shopping for my third Volkswagen and looking to move up from my second Jetta to either a Tiguan or Passat because my daughter is growing like a weed! I had visited the Medford VW the day before and while I had a fantastic Sales Rep, the financing department was subpar in their offerings. For that reason, I went online and found Quirk to have an extensive inventory, with numerous pictures. I found a brand new Passat that I had to see but also found a couple of others that I had an interest in. I drove up, parked, and James Feeney was standing outside and greeted me with a smile. He fluently and thoroughly explained the features and differences between each of the vehicles that I was interested in. The test drive route that he directed me to is absolutely beautiful, I felt as if I were in a car commercial : ) When I decided to purchase my new Passat, loaded with features and a lovely interior, James was efficient in presenting me with the paperwork and necessary materials to get the ball rolling. I had gone with a pre-approval offer through Capital One Finance (I had financed and paid off my last Jetta through them), but their finance manager at Quirk was able to find me a better rate and I was thrilled about that! James then helped me order lunch while I waited for everything to be completed and was quick-witted and absolutely a pleasure to sit with. I am absolutely ecstatic with my purchase and look forward to sending them business from my friends and family. read more

I've driven my 2010 Civic into the ground and was super excited to test the Tiguan today. Met up with a nice, newer sales rep and took two models out for a drive. I decided to think on the vehicle I'd like to purchase and come back - definitely leaning towards treating myself to the brand new model. I realized the team still had the keys to my Civic and started to head inside to get them but also realized my car's front bumper was literally on the ground. Now, that bumper was loose and hanging on for sure - but not off completely. I went in to understand exactly what happened while they assessed my trade and the general manager immediately responded snakily "It was like that - you can come in Monday and watch the security cameras." No offer to help, maybe bungee cord my bumper up until we passed papers on my new car. As I walked away, I saw him laughing. Laughing at me! A room full of guys and not one offer to help. So here's the thing: I only buy my cars from good humans who take the time to be kind. You lost a nice cash sale, folks, because I'd rather drive my Civic - with the bumper hanging off - to a dealership where they'll treat buyers with kindness and respect. I honestly feel for the young salesperson because he's the one that really missed out. The GM needs a serious refresher on how to treat customers. read more

A year and a half ago I went in for a simple oil change and on the way got a flat tire so asked the service department to address that as well. When my car was returned to me after two hours, I started driving and smelled a terrible smell from my vents. It smelled like mold had been building up in the air vents, mind you, I do not let my car get more than a few crumbs on the floor before they're cleaned up. I drove for a little bit thinking the smell would pass, but it didn't. I called the service department, told them what happened and brought it back in the next day. I sat in the waiting area for 2 hours only to have someone come tell me they didn't smell the gross moldy smell. I told them to drive the car in the parking lot and the air will come through the vents and they'll smell it. Sure enough, after hours of this they told me I was right- yeah, I know! I was so annoyed by this situation that I avoided going to them for anything for 1.5 years. Finally, a few weeks ago I decided I'd use a coupon I found to get my 30k check up and figured my experience couldn't be as bad as the first. It was. They completed the service and I drove away and immediately thought my tires/ride felt very bumpy. The tires had been rotated so I tried to keep that in mind that somewhat unevenness can happen after a rotation. I drove it for a week and finally brought it back because the car just wasn't driving right. Sure enough, they called me up and said "yeah it's because one of your rear tires was different than the other three so it didn't match the others." Well, they're the ones who put that different tire on there 1.5 years ago. So they rotate the tires back and refund me a measly $30 of the $300 I paid. When I went to pick my car up, they had broken a piece of plastic under the car near one of the tires. It was immediately visible to me, I had not brought it in like that. I drove the car home and it felt kind of funny- uneven again and bumpy and brakes didn't feel great. I figured I'd give it some time. Well my tires still are not driving smoothly, the brakes don't feel as smooth as they used to and I'm constantly hearing different noises from my front tires. I want to bring my car back to quirk so that they can fix what they caused, but I don't trust them. I have to go spend money elsewhere with a mechanic I trust and should've gone to in the first place. That will teach me. Never going to quirk service again. read more

By far the easiest vehicle purchase I have ever made in my life!! I finally found the vehicle I had been searching for, for quite sometime. with in 3 minutes my phone was ringing and I had an appointment with Yuri for the next day. I arrived to the dealership and was met by Yuri with an embrace like we had been friends for a lifetime. The vehicle I was interested in was right out front and was clean and running and waiting for me to take it on a test drive. Yuri went of a few things about the vehicle that he thought I might like and sent me on my way. Needless to say I loved the vehicle and when I arrived back at the dealership Yuri was very helpful with answering any questions I had about the vehicle. I guess while I was gone they had already assessed my trade and we sat down and went right to work. Yuri stayed with me the whole time throughout the whole process which was a nice change from normal dealerships where the sales person ships you off to a finance person who's only job is to sell you everything and anything they can. This was not like that at all. Yuri knew what I wanted, explained everything in detail to me and made sure I understood every option I had. And just like that we had a deal. My brand new Volkswagen was brought to the back and was cleaned up and set up while I added the vehicle to my insurance. By the time I was done, my brand new car was already waiting for me outside the front doors. Yuri walked me around the vehicle showing me everything! How this button did this and how that button did that and this button changes this setting. He helped me download the Volkswagen App and pair my phone and set up the app so I can unlock and lock my doors and even start the car from my phone. He took the time to make sure I did not leave with any questions but did tell me if I had any questions at all I could call him when ever and he would gladly help me out. Honestly you can't get service like that ANYWHERE. If you are in the market for a new car and you hate the typical sales experience of being pressured into something, you are not going to find that here. Check this place out and make sure you ask for Yuri, he will make sure you feel comfortable and is able to answer any and all of your questions. even the dumb ones which I had a few. read more

He really expressed an interest and assured me he is definitely buying the car so I do not need to advertise it anymore or consider any other buyer but he would be able to do this transaction on Monday as their finance department is closed. I took his word and removed my posting. Guess what??? No calls until Monday afternoon so I called him and got a reply that he will call me back in 10 minutes. That 10 minutes never came!!! He wasted my time, I lost an opportunity of other potential buyers meanwhile trusting his words. I finally received my car after babysitting the whole process. They did not, however, have the spare key or owners manual and said it would be sent out the next day. I'm still waiting on the key and owners manual after multiple weeks, multiple calls, and multiple promises. Do not go here if you can avoid it. I am on my second lease from Quirk VW in Braintree. I had no problems with the first car. With my current vehicle, I have had nothing but problems - not with the car - but with the service at this dealership. I moved about an hour away from the dealership, but still took my business there as we had a great experience the first time. I purchased, what I thought, was the Volkswagen service package so I can go to the VW service center that is closer to my house. That was not the case. I spent $165 out of pocket to get my first service and when I called Quirk to let them know they duped me, they were unapologetic and unhelpful. All I asked for was a reimbursement of the $165 and I will suffer the long drive to get the rest of my servicing done. Their offer was to cancel the package (which will then cost me hundreds of more dollars for each subsequent service). No thanks. I will never lease a car from them again. I will suffer through my services and never return. read more

WORST EXPERIENCES EVER. Pat in customer service is the only person here who I have had a good experience with. I took my VW here on a Friday for several issues I was having, one small thing I asked them to fix was one break light. After waiting two hours after they said my car would be ready, I got in to drive away. My friend was behind me in the parking lot and noticed that the light was still out - even though I paid for it to be fixed. I went into the garage to tell the mechanic that something went wrong and he said that he didn't know he was supposed to change it. (once again, it was on my bill). He gave me some attitude, but ended up changing out the light. Once again, got in my car, this time I wanted to test it in the parking lot before driving away, and it still did not work! I got the same mechanic and showed him. He complained that the shop was closed for the day now and he couldn't help. I said that would be unacceptable and told him it would take 2 minutes to fix. It turns out the bulb he replaced it with was BROKEN. How would he not notice that? I have had so many problems with my VW since starting to take it to Quirk, I could write a handbook on reasons to not go here. If you live in the greater boston area, take your car on the mass pike and go to boston VW in Watertown. There service reps are not as good as Pat, but there mechanics are much more polite and trust worthy. read more

I just this past weekend bought a new GTI from Quirk with Yuri as my salesperson. From the moment I stepped out of my trade to the moment I picked up the new car I was treated fantastically. The car had been featured on their website and the discount off MSRP was fair and right in line with what I had researched online. The sales managers I dealt with were friendly and the process was actually quite smooth: no typical hassle, no trade keys held by manager, no pressure, no endless negotiation. Just fair overall! The car, quite cool!! It was delivered clean and free from the little defect I saw during the test drive. The GTI is an amazing car and great value, most VWs have a feeling that they should cost much more. During my purchase I also got some stuff from the Parts Dept to round off the new vehicle and had a nice experience there too. Highly recommend Quirk VW read more

WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE. $25,000 for a used VR6 Jetta that was an "executive's car". I don't know if the previous owner was an executive for a demolition derby, bkuz he totally beat that car to shit! They never provided me with a second car key (as promised) they gave me floor mats out of a Ford. And I had to pay a few hundred $$$$ to put the cd changer back in that they stripped out. JERX!! Luckily there were federal laws that protected me on SOME of the emissions problems I experienced within a few thousand miles (My ECM died twice -- $3,000). The managers were the WORST, and dragged things out until after the lemon law coverage expired. :'( After the car was paid off, I got a $500 credit towards another car at 128 SAAB. :'( read more

In a word---"worst" I really regret that I bought my car in quirk. I took a service after a period's use. But two months later, it shows "service now" again. When I took my car to service, they told me that they just forgot to reset the system and let me go. I thought it was okay. Then later it had check engine light, they told me there are many problems and asked me to pay $2000 on it, cuz neither issue is under warranty. I did not believe them, but finally my car suddenly stopped on highway and cannot drive any more. So I towed my car to another vw service and they told me everything is under warranty and my car was repaired by free. Whatever happens, they always say none of the issue is under warranty and charged weigh more than regular price. I hate everybody works there. read more

This is my first time writing a review and I have to say that Quirk VW is the worst place to buy a car or have your car service! I bought a 2009 VW GTI from Quirk last month and am totally disgusted and disappointed with them. The salespeople are aggressive and scummy. I told him I wanted a used car but he kept selling me the new ones. And they don't even know their own cars! They played the monthly payment game trying to trick me to pay more. That looked really silly 'cause I have a master in finance and I doubt any of them had a real college degree. The salesperson went back to talk to his manager several times and Finally they agreed to give me a $100 discount on this $20,000 car and acted like they were doing me a BIG FAVOR. "It's like the first monthly payment is on us!" They even stood up and shook my hand congratulating me BEFORE I made the decision. And then I was trapped to buy unnecessary add-ons and extended warranties. I know I have a pretty good credit score but don't understand why they couldn't give me a good interest rate and why they ran EIGHT hard inquiries on my score in the same day. The car had some dents that they had promised to fix when I was test driving it but after I bought the car they said they couldn't. Oh, and they gave me 1/4 tank of gas "for free"! After driving the car for less than a month the car started to make a clicking sound when turning. I took the car to another VW dealer and was told the thing was not under warranty. Now I have to make an appointment with Quirk services and I am so afraid of what they're gonna charge me. :( I will never recommend anyone to go to this place. I came in and leased a new Jetta from Michael Kingsley, who may be the most incompetent sales person I have ever come across, cars or otherwise. First he botched the lease paperwork 3 separate times. Then when I came to pick up the car I sat in the dealership for 40 minutes while he walked past me 5 or six times without even acknowledging the fact I cam to pick up the car he sold me the day before. After I left he started texting me about a survey for him to make extra money off of the deal - I told him I would fill it out, but that I was traveling oversees for 2 weeks. When I returned I had 10 messages from him on the last day of the month asking where the survey was so he could get paid. Upon completing the survey and giving him an 8/10, which was generous at best, he sent a text message asking why I even bothered filling out the survey if I didn't give him a perfect score and it was my fault he didn't get paid for the deal. WTF this guy is a complete imbecile. I called him and rather than apologizing he said it wasn't his fault and he should have gotten a good survey. Literally the most maddening worst customer service experience ever here, I would not recommend purchasing a car here ever, unless you know sleazy salespeople are your thing. read more

Whatever you do, for the love of God, don't give them your email address. I had a horrible experience from start to finish and trying to get off of their emailing list service is like trying to get a sticky booger off of your finger (um, so I'm told). I've Unsubscribed multiple times and they just keep coming and coming and coming. Why is doing business with you people so difficult? It is a requirement that you be dishonest and annoying to sell cars? Excellent car, the 2010 Jetta TDI I bought. HIGHLY recommend! But use the AAA buying service. Apparently, they speak BS well enough to serve as a middle man between soulless car dealerships and the consumer. read more

We pulled into the Quirk VW parking lot on a Saturday afternoon hoping to just look at a few used Jetta's we had seen on their website. A few hours later, we pulled away with my new-to-me, used Jetta! We had a relatively easy time buying the car at Quirk. We had done our research beforehand so we knew what cars of this criteria were selling for and most importantly, I had a number in mind that I thought the car was worth TO ME and I knew I would have to walk away if they didn't work with us to get the price to the that point. They recognized that we had done our due diligence but most importantly, we made it evident that we were willing to walk away from a deal that wasn't in our favor and I think that helped our bargaining power. The longest part was waiting for the finance papers to be processed but there isn't really anything to be done about that. To others blaming Quirk for trying to sell them a car they can't afford, it's your own responsibility to say NO when necessary. Everyone has bills to pay and they are salesmen so that's how they pay their bills. If you can't afford the car, then walk away. read more

I was there a couple years ago, to have a recall part fixed, and they told me that I needed new brakes, and I shouldn't wait to get them replaced. I asked them to save the brakes for me, which they did. I'm not a mechanic, but I did in an auto shop for a summer, mostly changing tires, performing inspections and doing some brake work. With that said, the brakes they saved for me were at the very least, well over a year away from being replaced! I honestly believe I could have gotten about two or more years out of them. I tried calling the manager twice. I left a message but he never called me back. After talking to other people who have gone to a Quirk dealership, I have found that similar situations are not uncommon. That was definitely the last time I ever give business to Quirk! read more

In response to some of you uneducated car slugs. I have had many old muscle cars and motorcycles. As well as new cars. I have used Quirk Ford for over 20 years. So like everybody else in the past two years, I was hit with money problems due to the screwed up economy. So I had the sad choice of having to get rid of my 08 Ford super duty truck. I went to Quirk V.W. in Braintree. There I was greeted better than any other dealership I reviewed. And just to make sure I was not just dreaming I check with several other Vw and Ford dealerships. And none of them could touch Quirks deals, or the professional sales reps Like Kenny Elden and how beautiful the showrooms are. A lesson to you slugs that think you know cars and dealerships. Lesson 1-look for how clean the showroom, service area and bathrooms are. 2- how well dressed are the sales and service reps are. 3-How well do they know their product. Follow these easy rules and you can't lose. I could go on and on about how good Quirk dealerships and staff are. , But you would just stop reading. Overview: I just bought a new VW from Quirk. I'm only giving three starts because I have not used the service area so I can only comment on half of what Quirk does. But it seems from reviews that service is bad here but since they are about 30 minutes from my home I won't be using them for this anyway so for quirk that mean they had a 4 star max. New Car: My car buying experience went well. I did what everyone should do and contact multiple dealers online to get quotes for the car in the color I knew I wanted. Quirk gave me the best price of the 4 places I contacted. This was $450 less than the closest other dealership and $1300 less than the highest. Needless to say I got a good deal and was happy with the price of my new car. Trade in: I was initially offered from Quirk the same quote for my car that I was given at 2 of the other 3 locations. Luckily 1 of the other 3 quoted my car at 1K more. When I went in to Quirk and after getting there price I said listen, I was offered $xx elsewhere for my car. If you can match it I will sign up today since you have already offered the best price for the new car. They had there big boy manager talk and agreed. Conclusion: 3 stars instead of 4 because they took forever to do the paperwork. In their defense I think all car dealerships take forever. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING ABOUT BUYING A CAR IS RESEARCH AND INTERNET SHOPPING. If you let the sales people pick prices at the dealership you will pay MSRP or close. I've done it and so have many people. Do research and get multiple quotes and give one lucky dealership to give you the best of all worlds. read more

I had a check engine light on in my less-than-a-year-old car and I needed to get it inspected, so of course I searched for the nearest dealership to my new place in Dorchester. Quirk Volkswagen was not only open until 8pm for service, but they were super nice and accommodating - both on the phone and at the actual service area in the dealership. As soon as I pulled into the lot and got out of my car, at least 3 guys in suits came up to me to ask how they could help me. Not 5 minutes later, a service rep came out to move my car where it's supposed to be and said that I could wait inside. A sales rep opened the door for me on my way into the dealership and asked me how I was after saying hello - like he actually wanted to know and genuinely cared how I was doing. Fabulous! I was in and out of the service center within 5 minutes after dropping off my car. They said it was probably a computer error, it was covered by warranty and they'd call me when it was all set to go or needed to stay longer than anticipated. Jump to 9am the next morning when I get a call saying my car is done. Nice. Went to pick it up at 6pm that night and spent about 5 minutes signing a paper and paying for the service that wasn't covered under warranty (oil change). The oil change was a bit expensive, as they all are at the dealerships, but I'll def go straight back to Quirk if and when my car needs to be serviced again. read more

I leased my golf from Quirk VW last summer and I got a great deal. Vadim was my sales rep and he was very patient throughout my test drive, and reviewed my purchase v. leasing options. All the transaction went smooth and he gave great accomodation for the shuttle ride service. Since, I live in a residential suburb, Vadim personally delivered the vehicle to my house and carefully reviewed the important documents and all the tedious functions of the car. Just last week, I took my car for the annual service, and the VW repair service did an awesome job on checking the tire pressure and renewing my inspection sticker. Vadim remembered my name (and my husband) and greeted us so politely. While waiting for the service, I wanted to test drive the Tiguan and he was more than helpful with the test drive and all the information I needed. The dearership is prestine clean and has plenty of helpful agents who is willing to work with you for your ideal price. If you do your share of research on your desire vehicle and have good financial/credit history, then there should be no problem negotiating an awesome deal. read more
