Second visit to quotes for brunch and the food always hits for me. More than the food, the drinks hit harder lol our server Chrissy (i believe thats her name) was so so sweet and attentive. I will be asking dir her on my next visit.
This was such a great find! I met up with an old friend here and we had a blast! First of all, their happy hour is pretty solid. Discounted drinks and food from 5-7. We took advantage of that! Seven was our server and she is AWESOME! I can't tell you how many times she checked on our table and gave us fantastic suggestions. She needs a raise for her outstanding service. I honestly only want to come back and sit in her section. She made our visit special. The vibes are so good here! 90's rnb all day!!! We loved the quotes on the screens and we loved the picture wall setup. I can't say enough great things about Quotes and look forward to coming back. Some of my favorites were the Mango flavored smoky drink, buffalo cauliflower, buffalo lemon peppered wings, and jerk empanadas!
I loved the party atmosphere on a Saturday night, the vibes were immaculate and it's so pretty! The floral wall was perfect for pics and the lighting is such a bonus ! My pics were great ! It was busy however, we were seated immediately as a walk in for table for 2. I enjoyed my Creole Catfish but wish I asked for extra sauce , the dish has beef dirty rice, creamy sauce with crawfish and I had my fish fried! It was delicious , my Old Fashioned was perfect ! The prices are very reasonable! A great place for girls or date night as well as small and large parties ! I will definitely be going again ! It is a cashless establishment, so be prepared!
This was a nice Restaurant and it was very busy. Restaurant is loud and they have music playing. They have some really great cocktails. My only complaint was that it took a very long time to get my food and everything was not hot. Despite that the food was delicious and I would definitely come back. Another stand out dish I had was the oxtail quesadilla. We had a great server who gave us a great run down of the menu and made some good recommendations.
Yes yes and more yes. Came here and got the fried catfish with the fried chicken, rice, mac n cheese and green. It was superb. The inside is nice and looks upscale. They have a photobooth section to take pics. I thought that was pretty cool. The food off the chain. Glad when I visited Houston, I went there. For sure going back when i go back out there.
Good vibe, good ambiance, good food! Anytime I've ever gone in here it has always been a good time. They serve a nice Southern comfort menu with modern spins. The name Quotes is on display by the way they have video displays all throughout of quotes by people in the culture. One thing I can definitely say I've never gone here and had bad service. That seems small but it isn't. My most recent visit I went as part of a galentine's party (palentines for me lol) and our main waitress was amazing. She was attentive enough to notice that I was particular about certain things and recommended against one of the items I planned to get. She didn't think it was bad but just that it would not be to my preference. I appreciate that level of honesty and consideration. When you talk Southern comfort you almost can't do that without talking about fried foods and they do that pretty well here. The one asterisk I will say is that one time I went here and the wings were not up to standard flavor wise but every other time they have been on it. I went with the the quotes fish and shrimp platter on my most recent visit, which comes with two sides and a honey butter cornbread waffle. I got the smoked gouda mac & cheese and candied yams for my sides. Everything was really good. The only thing is I feel like the fish could have been seasoned a little bit stronger but great meal overall. Be bayou City pasta was what I initially planned to get but it's the item that she recommended against based on my tastes. I did try some of a friend's pasta with the oxtail option and it was pretty good but I'm not mad that I missed on it. I'm typically a gin drinker but they didn't have a chin cocktail I wanted so I went with the strawberry lone Star lemonade. It was a bit sweet but I also prefer my cocktails on the sweeter side so it was cool. Good drink overall. I had the French Rosé in the past which is a spin on the French 75 with a rose champagne and it was solid. I tried some of my friends dishes as well. I want to say the spinach dip is damn good to me! Like "oh damn I wasn't expecting this" good. And I like the cauliflower garlic bread it's served with. It's really soft so not a dipper but very delicious! The crispy sweet and spicy shrimp are also good but I will say a little bit on the sweeter side. The crispy cauliflower bites are very, very good. Of course prefer chicken wings but as an alternative they slap. The wings and waffles was one of the first things I tried here and I really enjoyed both the wings and the waffles so win-win for me. I'm usually good with just plain waffles but I really liked how they paired with the peach cobbler for waffle options. The waffles are a few small waffles instead of one large waffle but they're still really good and it's kind of a cute look, just not as filling lol. As I said before the wings do exactly what they need to do being crispy and delicious, and only once did they let me down. I've always had the wings served as whole wings but the recent visit a friend was serve separate flats and drums so I'm not sure if they changed to doing pieces on the wings. I have a friend who swears by the lamb chops and I believe I had a taste of them but it was a while back so I don't remember well enough to give my thoughts on them but she loves them. If I'm being honest as I look over the menu writing this review I honestly feel like I need to eat here a lot more often than I do now because when they are hitting they are HITTING! Can't wait for my next excuse to dive into something going in the menu.
The mimosas are always nice! The chicken and waffle sliders were more than generous in size for brunch! I ate that for leftovers the next morning too! I hate that I didn't get a picture of my entree, but those grits were creamy too!
Came here for happy hour and it has a lot of potential. The happy hour drinks were all $10 for the specialty cocktails. Different assortments for everyone. The egg rolls were good but I could have used a different sauce maybe... the wings were great. The regular fried chicken was nice and crisp... at first I didn't like the Brussel sprouts but the sauce is at the bottom and that was a came changer. Mac and cheese was ok. But the corn bread waffle thing was the best part. I advise sitting at the bar as the service at the tables around us seemed kind of slow. They play really good music and for the most part everyone was pretty friendly.

Short Summary: This experience was a miss for me. -1 remove from 45 minute waiting list, without notice, when sitting at the bar, holding seats. -1. Mojito Virgin smoky strawberry lemon drop. Taste like carbonated water (from spirit soda). Zero flavor, of the two flavors. No mint at all. -1 replace drink with strawberry lemonade or raspberry lemonade and the lemonade is MINUTE MAID brand. Very tart, and zero flavor of the strawberry/raspberry. -1 mango sweet tea. Flavor was off taste like tannins was release from steeping to long and lack of flavor. -1 water taste funny. No lemons came with it as requested. -2 my server informed me that they will not remove my non alcoholic drinks that were very bad taste. Seafood tacos: Flavor 4/5 Texture: 5/5 Temp 3.8/5. First taco lukewarm, other two tacos is cool and cold. I like how the topping was placed on the side beautifully. Crawfish étouffée. 1/5. Flavor is very off, texture was good. Did not eat it. Waiting list was 45 for a table of three. I arrived before my friends so I got on the waiting list and sat at the bar since it was first come first served. ( since chairs open, I place reserved in the seats just in case they arrived before our waiting time was complete). Full details: waiting list -1 To my surprise I received a notification on my phone saying I was off the waiting list, as groups continued to enter. I immediately spoke to host (I think Jordan) to place me back on the list, And I'll prefer a table with a seat with back rest verses sitting on bar backless stools. He told me he thought we were going to be at the bar since I was a sitting there saving seats. He was very friendly and kind about his message, it was just lack of communication that was a no no. He didn't bother to ask if I still prefer a table. My table was ready now, (less than 45 minutes), which is why he removed me from the waiting list without notice. -2 Drinks Even the ladies at the table tasted it. Taste as if I would have drank that entire glass I would've been sick (sincerely). The GM told me that I was going to be responsible for the drinks I did NOT drink that was Horrid and was removed from the table. Which were $5. (Didn't see a price or inform prior to this point), so to be fair I told them they can replace it with at spirit drink. They return to say they will take it off this time. But you can't order something to try and remove it if you dislike it. This is the moment where my mind was made up to not return to Quotes, until they remove this policy. I will never feel comfortable ordering something that was prepared HORRIBLE and be financially responsible for something I did not consume. I don't even feel comfortable returning and having them feel or speak as if they doing me a favor when the ball was dropped from the company. The birthday dessert was bread pudding since the chocolate cake was complete out. It was packaged for take out. It wasn't that good to my liking. But I'm not a bread pudding girl either. I wouldn't get this again even if it's comp. (Not to mentioned the flies and gnats) If I was to return: I'll might try for Happy hour and the chocolate dessert.
I've always seen this place on the side of Willowbrook mall and never made time to try it out, but I finally got around to it and I wasn't disappointed. My coworkers and I came here for lunch and we all loved it. The food was delicious, the decor was super cute, and the service was on point. I will for sure be visiting again and trying something new on the menu.
Was in the area for a movie premier & decided to try Quotes as I have seen them on IG many times. Arrived about 9pm on a Sunday night and everything was really good. Plenty of parking. Hostess greated us with a smile. The ambience is really nice, not too bright not too dark. Playlist was great, R&B! Nice Bar, tables, booths and cocktails tables. Our waitress Cheyenne was really nice and patient. I ordered the Creole Catfish & my friend ordered Honey Garlic wings. Both were great. Catfish and wings were fried really well. Honey garlic sauce was so good. Dirty rice and creole sauce was just ok. Really enjoyed our visit. I would definitely return to try more dishes and and a drink as the drink menu was extensive.

I visited for Sunday Brunch with a girlfriend. If you couldn't guess by the name Quotes Willowbrook is literally attached to Willowbrook Mall next to Nordstroms Rack. With that said parking is obviously ample but for a little walk to the entrance. Upon arrival, I was surprised to it was packed to the max inside because the Saints were playing. The energy was high despite the score lol. The overall look of this restaurant is very luxurious with its bold gold accents and plenty of eye-catching design details. In the back, there is a decorated floral wall to take pics and the DJ was set up in the corner. Good looking crowd with lots of eye candy for yall single folks. The bar is massive with seating all around it but no hooks to hang your bag (sad face). There are tons of seating arrangements and dining tables plus a huge private room on the second level with direct access to its own private outdoor patio. I can't wait to check that area out next time. Definitely looks like a great spot to host a party in the future. We stood in line indoors for about 10 minutes before we made it to the hostess stand. They don't take reservations on Sunday so we could only get on the list and wait the estimated 30 minutes but that was fine. It was super hot out so waiting without shade wasn't an option. The patio didn't have any covers over the tables and the only covered area outside had bar-height tables with no chairs. I was a little disappointed that no one offered to move any of the empty chairs out there for us but I didn't want to press. We were both wearing heels and wanted to sit pretty so we walked around the bar and immediately found two seats. The Bartenders were friendly and greeted us despite being busy. Unfortunately, they did not have the cold brew for the Espresso Martini ( my fav) and the Smoked Peach Old Fashion I ordered couldn't be smoked because the hand torches were out of butane (rolls eyes). I'm a stickler for presentation so that was a little letdown but it was strong and delicious so I digress. My friend started taking pictures of her lemon drop martini then noticed a small gnat in it before she could take a sip and they were really nice about re-making it quickly. I kept checking the reservation status link the hostess texted but the signal was really bad inside so I couldn't see an update. About 20 minutes later the game ended, the Second Line did a huge send-off and tables started to clear out. After another 30 minutes, I walked to the hostess stand to make sure I didn't miss their notification and to see where we were on the list. We were 4 tables back. I asked if we could move to one of the several open tables behind us but was told no. 30 minutes later and now contemplating ordering my third drink, I definitely needed to nibble on something if you know what I'm saying lol. We asked the bartender about the tables and she promptly talked to someone in the back and finally got us seated. I'm pretty patient but didn't anticipate almost two hours to get seated. We quickly put in orders for another round of Smoking Lemon Drop Martinis and order of Firecracker Shrimp while deciding on our entrees. The server warned us it might take a while because the kitchen was busy. Our drinks arrived pretty quickly that time and the Server also took our food orders. The appetizer took a little over 30 minutes to arrive and to our surprise, there were two orders instead of one but we didn't say anything because we were starving. The shrimp were definitely giving jumbo and I could have honestly been satisfied with just that. I really enjoyed both sauces that came with it. The red one tasted like a mix of cocktail sauce with Louisiana hot sauce and the other was like a spicy mayo remoulade. Kinda reminded me of the shrimp app at UKB. We savored every bite. When our food arrived we were also very pleased with the presentation, portions, and flavors. The catfish was breaded very well and crispy. The grits were seasoned, thick, and creamy. I would give them 5 stars just for the food alone. I hate to say it but dammit it was worth the wait. After we boxed up our food we started chatting with a beauty at the next table and invited her to join us. She surprisingly knew the owner and he came over to sit and chat with us for a while. We've met before through a mutual friend years ago so that was cool to get re-acquainted. Then the DJ came by and we chopped it up with him for also. I arrived around 3 PM and didn't leave until like 9 PM. What started as Brunch (they sever Brunch all day Sunday by the way) turned into dinner. I'd be remiss if I didn't say the ambiance, staff, music, and lovely company didn't keep me entertained the entire time. Maybe with a reservation, the experience would be different. Despite a few hiccups with unavailable items and the wait time, I would definitely come back. This is hands down the nicest spot I've been to on the NW side. read more

I met my girlfriends for brunch at 11:30am. We did not leave until 3:30pm. The ambiance os nice, The food was delicious. We had chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, cheesecake, bbq cauliflower and coffee. We laughed and reminisced. Now, the service was a little slow. The server reminded us several time that there are no free refills on coffee (LOL). The resturant is cashless. You can only pay via the app. We will definitely visit again. We also met the owner and toured the private space. This is a nice place. read more

Came here a couple of times and got the fried chicken and greens both times lol. The first time I had the Quotes soul food platter, and the second time I got the pecan praline waffles and chicken. You do have the option of flavors for your wings which is nice, in which I got the Cajun fried and a side of greens. Let me tell you about those greens though - I could literally eat a whole bowl full (large preferably). They are really flavorful and not salty at all. You get nice pieces of turkey meat in there too. The food is always good, and I truly love the smoking strawberry martini - they don't miss on that at all. My husband had the smoking peach old fashion (it's a sipper) our first trip and the mimosa the second trip - he liked his as well. There's been a dj playing both visits, all the latest hits and some throwbacks as well which keeps the vibes nice. I do like that there's a nice patio for outdoor eating - on a sunny day I'm sure it's nice outside. My only hang up is that the food takes A- LONG-TIME. Both times we visited we've waited about 30-40 minutes for our food. When you come in hungry that feels like a lifetime. Of course there are no appetizers or bread to snack on while you wait which would be nice to kill the time. I'm not quite sure why it takes so long and hopefully they can improve that. I was visiting from out of town and stopped in for brunch with a party of 5. We sat immediately because it wasn't busy. The server greeted us pretty quickly and bought us water. After that, the service was very slow, and that's the only reason I didn't give this place a 5. The food was excellent. Our table had oxtail empanadas, firecracker shrimp, lemon pepper wings, 24k wings, french fries, and a quesidilla. It all was delicious! It took us quite a while to get our alcoholic beverages and to get the check at the end. read more

The newest addition to Willowbrook is a gem! This restaurant is perfect for a date or a business lunch. The food is excellent, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere will leave you wanting more! I had lunch there and was not disappointed. The waitress knew the details about each menu item. Came around 1PM for a friends bday brunch. She made reservations ahead or time so we were only able to be seated when about half the party was present. The establishment is nice and it didn't seem too packed when we got here but I saw two couples leave as there appeared to be a bit of wait for seating for them. Our waiter, Sunny was off the chain! She handled our entire party of like 15 by herself and did it with the best attitude! She was very pleasant, always let us know the status of our food and drinks and was pretty good and getting everyone's orders correct. There is a DJ that plays music which some find to be pretty loud but I didn't mind it since it created the vibe of Sunday Funday brunch. So on the the food and service. We had two tables and I noticed that the first table was able to order their drinks and appetizers and it came out before my table was even able to put it in our drink orders. Not sure what that was about but I imagine it was because Sunny was working by herself so they should've probably gotten her some help since she had such a big party but she did amazing for flying solo. I ordered a lemon drop but added henny and strawberry and it was delicious!!! All the ladies in our group were throwing the drinks back! For my meal I got the chicken and waffles meal. I just got regular waffles which were nothing fantastic to me but I got the chicken with the hot buffalo sauce and it was delicious. I also had the spinach artichoke dip with the cauliflower pita bread and bay behh, let's just say I'm going to order that Everytime! I think some items are a little overpriced but that's just my opinion. Overall I enjoyed my experience. I know this is a newer restaurant/bar in town and sown do the reviews I saw weren't the greatest but I feel like they have a lot of potential so give them a try for yourself! read more

Ever since they've updated their team (a lot of people dipped because the establishment and management "suck") the quality of the food and drinks has definitely declined. There use to be personality and life with the waiters and waitresses too and that has also faded. Went in for my normal dish (chops and cheese) and while I normally would give grace, one chop was soft and one was hard (I ordered medium well) giving me the impression that there way the food is cooked now has changed too. The bartenders also are not good quality anymore. read more

We had Mercedes as our server for our first time here and the experience was great! She had such inviting energy and made sure we were checked on. The drinks were very refreshing, we had the Southern Belles. For our entrees, we had a chicken & waffles as well as catfish and grits. All of it was so so good. Also, we came in on a Wednesday afternoon so I do think that added to the experience as it wasn't as busy We'll be back as there were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try !!! read more
I had the opportunity to hold my Birthday brunch at this establishment. The reservation process was seamless. I called and they were able to reserve my selected amount of people. I had to put a credit card to hold but they didn't charge. We arrived on the day. My party was promptly seated. We were sitting by the dj.. music was VERY loud couldn't hold a conversation with my guest but what do you expect... Still a good vibe. I ordered the French 75 and Shrimp and grits with an added piece of catfish. The food was decent. Not great but okay with great size portions. The catfish had an overbearing fishy taste. Towards the end, the service became slower and slower At the end we paid and left BUT we were chased down by who I assume to be the manager saying that some in my group didn't pay. We had to explain that she paid in cash but it was simply embarrassing to say the least because he was yelling from their patio to the parking lot. My guest didn't deserve the mishap especially over their mistake. Won't return. read more

Decided to try this place out since it's not far for me and black owned. Had a reservation for 6:45PM for 3. Soon as we got there we seated. It wasn't too busy. The atmosphere was very chill and relaxing. The music was pretty good. Good mix of rap and Rnb songs. Looked very clean, not sure if he was the manager or not but a guy checked on us a couple times and even cleared our plates. Very nice. Everyone who brought the food out was very nice and engaging. Very beautiful people working there. TVs at the bar so might be a cool place to go to watch games. Food. The food was pretty good and the drinks. My only complaint was the wait time seemed long. I ordered the Captains Platter (catfish, shrimp, dirty rice and broccolini). The rice was cool. Everything else was hot. My wife had greens and they were cold too but not as cold as my rice. Came here for the first time to meet a "friend." Upon entering, we were told by the hostess that they had tables but there would be a 15-20 minute wait before anyone could come to place drink orders or greet us upon being seated. Uhhhhh ok. We opted for the bar area. Bartenders were nice, drinks were HELLA STRONG (in a good way) would definitely visit again for food or when the music is not blaring so loudly you can't even remember your thoughts. I'll start by saying the staff is very helpful and welcoming. It's located in the parking lot of Willowbrook mall near the Nordstrom Rack, so plenty of parking. I was here on a Sunday and it wasn't too packed. Upon entering I choose a seat and the waitress was over rather quickly. She did a good job at taking my order and addressing my needs. I wasn't pleased looking at the menu and everything is á la carte(wings $15 + fries $7 = $22) I understand inflation but DAMN. The wings weren't breaded so they are pretty small for the price. There is a dj who does a good job at keeping the energy high. I may come back for a drink but never again for the food. read more

It's still new of course so not surprised the service was a little slow . Seating was very close to each other and with many empty tables it took about 5 mins to seat . Now unless you ask you wouldn't know the happy hour hours (3pm-7pm) the pricing is a little much but the drink was really good and strong for the $8 happy hour price - I had the pineapple mojito! Our waiter was great and let us know a little bit about the place , the vibe is great with the live Dj. The fried catfish and grits was pretty good as well, they get a 10/10 on the Gouda grits! I really wanted to like this place! I understand it's a new establishment so naturally, they have kinks to work out. Unfortunately, the service made it less desirable. We sat 20 minutes without a waiter acknowledging us, so we ended up moving to the bar where most people were sitting. Even after we moved, the service was still slow & had to get the attention of other servers to place our orders. This was early brunch hours with no crowd, only a few large parties. We noticed 2 other couples sat where we originally were seated & they never got acknowledged - so they left. The food is decent. I got the chicken & waffles at a good price. The chicken was great, but the waffles were tough...weird. My boyfriend got the catfish & shrimp platter. We had 2 drinks (Smoked Old Fashion & a Hibiscus) which were really good.
