Stumbled upon this spot on Yelp and knew I had to come because I LOVE crispy pork belly! We came on a Sunday afternoon and were lucky enough to find a table in the corner (seating is pretty minimal, but we were adamant about eating there to be able to enjoy it fresh.) We ordered the combo platter with both the crispy pork and grilled beef to get the best of both worlds and we were in heaven. We loved both, but were so impressed by the crisp of the pork that we'll probably just do an entire tray of the pork next time. $22 for the giant portion was a steal -- definitely thought we would have leftovers, but ended up crushing the entire thing lol. Decent crispy pork. The skin is perfectly crispy and the pork was tender and flavorful. I also tried the rice paper salad which is a first for me. Interesting chewy texture and overall not bad. The box size was way more than enough so I'm glad I didn't opt for the tray size. I was told it won't be good after an hour because the rice paper will get sticky. The grilled beef was a bit dryer than i expected and would've liked. The fish sauce helped, but was just ok. Definitely recommend the crispy pork tho. Lots of people coming in for to-go orders. For the price, it is definitely a great deal for sure but if you are into the quality then I would say it's not quite there yet. The roast pork is not definitely pork belly, more of the ham/leg of the pig so just more meat, a layer of fat and the skin...pork belly is layers of both meat and fat with skin. The skin is crispy for sure but it's dry and abit salty of mixed spices. And the meat is dry when bite into it and flavorless. The Bo la lop was overpowered of the flavor and somewhat dry instead of juicy and natural flavor of the fat and herbs. Both sauce are good but with the meats, it just abit off. I know, I'm love these dishes and abit picky on it, but just my point of view. The place is small but clean and service is good and fast.
