    Bun bo hue dac biet

We stopped by Ha Noi Corner around 10 AM and were seated right away, which already set such a peaceful tone for the morning. The moment the food arrived, it honestly felt like a little taste of home. The bún chả was outstanding. The meatballs were the perfect size, flat, not round, just the way they should be. It's such a small detail, but it makes the dish feel so authentic. The presentation was beautiful too, the kind that makes you pause for a second before digging in. The bún bò Huế brought me straight back to Southern Vietnam. The broth had that familiar warmth and depth, and the pork feet were unbelievably tender. Every bite felt comforting, like something made with real care. Portions were huge, and we left completely full and happy. What really made the experience special was the staff. They were extremely polite, gentle in the way they spoke, and genuinely welcoming. It's the kind of hospitality that stays with you long after the meal. This place doesn't just serve food, it serves memories. A perfect spot for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese flavors with heart.

Great little restaurant in the heart of Garden Grove. Literally situated on the corner of the strip mall. Ample parking. Restaurant is clean, spacious, and bright. Service is quick and friendly. Although our drinks came out after our food did, we just figured our drinks just took extra time to be made. No biggie. Authentic northern Vietnamese style food. My mom ordered canh bun, I had bun dau mam tom, and my husband ordered the com bo luc lac. Everything came out quick and was beautifully plated. The flavors were very fresh and not disappointing. My mam tom was pungent as expected but not too pungent. Everyone was very happy with their food. My mom ordered a hot vietnamese coffee, husband ordered Thai tea, and my girls shared an Oreo shake. They all said it was delicious. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Nice restaurant with standard Vietnamese food. We were really impressed by the massive summer rolls, stuffed with fresh vegetables and super filling. I liked the decor of the restaurant, reminiscent of the streets of Vietnam. Staff was nice and food came out quickly. Good food, nothing super special.

That famous dish that Obama and Bourdain ate is here (bun cha Hanoi) if you were curious or know you love it and have been searching high and low around OC to find it. Food here is made fresh down to even the sauce for your goi con (fresh spring rolls). If you're a fish fan, try the cha ca Thanh long but just know the sauce is pungent. If you can get past that, it's ridiculously delicious with the noodles and fresh aromatic herbs and vegetables. Place is modern. Good parking. Service is a little slow which is why I didn't give all stars but with some effort you can flag someone down to help you. They're a small business run with a small staff so if you keep that in mind, you'll see they're doing their best and are very kind.

We were totally jonesing for some legit Northern Vietnamese eats, so we hit up this spot on a whim. Man, it's been ages since I've rolled into a Vietnamese joint--seriously, no clue what I was walking into. I walked inside and I just realized I have been here a long time ago, but things seem to be so much different. I wonder if they change management .. And yeah, since I'm always whipping stuff up in my own kitchen, I'm like a total food snob when dining out, picking apart every little thing! But props to this place: it's squeaky clean, all lit up and vibey with cool decor, and he's got tons of space to chill. Parking? Piece of cake--big ol' lot out front, no BS circling for a spot. We snagged the bún chả Hà Nội and bún riêu. Not gonna lie, it wasn't knock-your-socks-off amazing, but solid AF with some decent flavor punches. I'll def swing by again and scope out one of their drier dishes, see if it hits different. My waiter was pretty honest when I asked him about a few dishes and if he would recommend it, he told me what he didn't like and what he really like at this place so I took his advice .. I felt like he was very attentive and honest . Overall, I felt like it is a little bit better because this time then the last time I was here . The food was a little bit better and definitely better service.

They have very good cha ca Ha Noi and other great dishes . If you can eat mam and can stand the smell of fermented sauce then this is as authentic as it gets .

I love Southern California for a lot of reasons and one of them is the abundance of delicious food that will make your day so happy and bring you so much joy. Ha Noi Corner is one of those gems - another restaurant I wish I could eat at way more regularly/was in the city that I lived in. I would come back here specifically for the banh cuon and the bun dau mam tom. It was so so good. The salted egg yolk snails were fun but the snails didn't absorb as much of the salted egg yolk flavor but I still enjoyed it. Such a delicious meal.

This was the first time I have ever gone to this place. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavors that the plates had to offer. My favorite thing was the chicken wing appetizer. It was very savory and crispy and the dipping sauce was perfect for it. I believe it was priced around maybe $15 the soup here was also very good we ordered bun bo hue. most places have more flavor than this location however, I don't really have much complaints about it because it was still really good. The flavor profile was just a little bit more mute than I'm used to. I ordered a rice plate and the meat was seasoned very well. it's also very tender and not dry at all. everything here was very reasonably apprised and I would definitely come back again. The service was great. The parking is easy to navigate and the food was very yummy. The interior of the restaurant was very clean. I honestly have no complaints at all.

Walked by this restaurant and decided to try. We ordered a chicken rice dish to go...thinking it's the red rice but it's not. Chicken is good and crispy but rice is plain. The sauce that comes with it is too sweet. We also got a Thai green tea with cheese foam which is good but wish it was less sweet. Overall, this place is decent but not the best.

Called at 11:13....was told it would take 10 mins.... It's not even busy rn. 11:42 and still waiting on my TO GO order.

Only thing good about this place is the food. Called to order to go and like the other reviews stated they laggg and don't respect your time. I called at 11:13 and was told it would be 10 mins. Got at the restaurant 11:30 and still waiting on my food (it's now 11:41 as I'm writing this). The lady at the counter said she's gonna wrap up my food BUT IS CURRENTLY WALKING AROUND THE RESTURANT. So annoying and disrespectful.

The waiters were funny and service was good. Cute place to grab pho and good price point, most things are under $20.

I always come here for Bun Dau Mam Tom, I would say this is the best in Santa Ana so far.

We ordered bun dau Mam Tom because it is so good, and we ended up order 2 of them. If anyone still don't know where to eat in Santa Ana, give this restaurant a try. it will not let u down. Trust

I called to order at 10:49AM and I was still waiting for my food at 11:42AM! Guess what? The food was already out but the waitress did not have time to wrap it for me?! I had to remind her 3 times and the 3rd time I had to shout out loud so other people looked at me and so she took it seriously. It was not her fault entirely. Why can't the people in the kitchen come out and help? Why can't she offer a drink or at least a water while I wait so long? I was the only To-Go there. And To-Go customers are customers too! I felt for her working by herself but now the popcorn chicken was all cold and chewy. Everything else is cold too! The food are for my kids and my 80+ yo parents. This is not acceptable. Please plan everything accordingly or hire more people!

yes we do accept credit cards.

Do both locations currently have outdoor dining?

I know for sure the one on Chapman and Brookhurst (by ChuzeFitness) is offering outdoor dining!

No more due to the Pandemic :-(

    Is the bun rieu good?

    It's decent but as a Hanoi-ese, I wouldn't say it's super authentic.

Fast service and friendly customer service?

Yes, they are friendly enough and the service is fast. It's a fast casual sit down restaurant.

Agreed! My dad is very selective with his dishes and he said this was one of the best bun cha ha noi he's tasted around here. Just a warning, the sauce can be a bit oily but still very tasty :)

Got the dry seafood noodles, beef stew noodles and deep fried dumplings. The dumplings were alright, it's basically deep fried wonton with pork and shrimp. My usual dry seafood noodles was scrumptious and side soup was packed with lots of seafood. I typically add a load of red vinegar to give a good tang. The beef stew was also really good and meat was tender except the tendon, there's 3 level of spicy however level 1 mild is still very spicy especially for people who don't usually eat spicy.

Mai Phat still exceeded them! It has since become our go-to lunch spot, as well as a local favorite for my wife's family. They specialize in egg noodles - served either dry (with broth and main protein on the side) or wet like a conventional soup bowl. My personal go-to is the dry mì sủi cảo - egg noodles with sliced / ground pork, huge wonton dumplings, a shrimp cracker, and broth on the side. The wontons come in a super rich and delicious sauce that I actually got scolded for pouring over my noodles lol. The light and clear broth is very refreshing and well-seasoned. Excellent mix of perfectly balanced flavors from every component. Add chili crisp for extra oomph. My wife loves the mì gà quay - fried chicken leg & thigh with the signature egg noodles. This is honestly one of the most perfectly seasoned and cooked fried chicken I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of fried chicken. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive Highly recommend Mai Phat for hearty, expertly crafted, and relatively guilt free Vietnamese comfort food

This is a type of life where you eat and leave as quickly because it's a no-frills no ambience type of place. That's fine with me except it was pretty hot. They charge you a dollar for a little tiny paper cup of water. I ordered the number one since this is their specialty or what they're known for. My mom had the bun thit nuong cha gio. My noodle soup had a good amount of crab pieces and shrimp. It seemed like there was not a lot of noodles though. I thought the broth was a little bland. I guess I'm just not a big fan of this type of soup. If there is a next time, I'll try the bun rieu. My mother was not that crazy about her dish. She said she didn't really like the egg rolls that much. For the price, the wait and the taste of the food, I likely will not be returning when there are so many other places in the area. Here what we tried: Ngheu Hap Thai (Thai Style Clams) - the clams were big and the broth is very flavorful! My mom really enjoyed it! Mi Vit Tiem (Duck Noodle Soup) - absolutely love the broth! So clean and herbal like! The noodle texture is interesting, as it is not your usual egg noodles. Not sure if I like it over the traditional egg noodles. Still a good dish! Banh Canh Tom Cua (Vietnamese Crab & Shrimp Udon) - there were so much crabs and shrimps in the bowl. The broth is good, just a little bland and needed to add some fish sauce. Mi Sui Cao (Wonton Dried Noodles) - love the wonton and the fried shrimp crunchy thing. The seasoning is really, but I don't think I like the noodles they used. Sup Cua (Vietnamese Crab Soup) - so much toppings in the soup! Love the century's egg!
