I was just looking for a good DIM SUM place to order Togo and take home to share with my mom but, I didn't expect it to be THIS GOOD!!! So I guess we should never judge a book by its cover ;) HAR GOW: 10/10 Star of the show! WOW, this is Monterey Park quality dim sum. Tastes great especially on the first day! SHUMAI: 9/10 It was nice and thick! And juicy. I think it would have tasted way better on the first day since I refrigerated over night. SHRIMP BEAN CURD: 10/10 This one was really tasty too! I re-heated in the toaster oven. SHRIMP RICE ROLLS: 10/10 I really like the texture! BBQ pork buns & sweet buns: 8/10 It was pretty good! SHRIMP DUMPLING: 10/10 Loved this one too with the green wrapping. SERVICE: B+ Didn't get a greeting but, they did pack the Dim Sum up really nicely. They were also very generous on giving the sauces and wrapping up the sauces nicely too! AMBIANCE: 8/10 Lots of tables to sit at! I highly recommend this place!!! ROCK ON CRYSTAL DUMPLINGS!!!!

I needed a snack and decided to stop by here. Crystal Dumplings is a casual dim sum spot where you just pick up and go. There is a couple of tables if you want to eat there. Crystal Dumplings is located in a plaza so there are some parking. I ended up getting the Pork shrimp shumai, Shrimp dumplings, and Spicy dumplings in chili sauce. My favorite was the spicy dumplings in chili sauce. I love the sauce. It wasn't spicy. I would try to eat this dish right away because it can get salty with the sauce sitting too long with the dumplings. The Shumai and the shrimp dumplings were average. It did come a bit cold but I'm not sure if I came later in the afternoon. Overall, if you just want to pick up a couple of dim sum items this is your place.

We were satisfied with our quick lunch here. Shu mai is chunky, filling and tasty. Pork bun bread is soft and sweet and complements well with the piping hot pork filling. No complaints with the shrimp har gow - also bigger than the usual serving. Too bad they were out of my favorite sticky rice. Service was friendly and fast and generous with condiments! No frills dimsum for a quick lunch - will definitely return!

I have come by a few times for this location and I really enjoy the quality of the dim sum here. Parking is a bit of a struggle but I am able to find a spot eventually. I usually get the siu mai, chicken feet, sticky rice, and it is delicious! It's affordable as well which I love! The ambiance inside is nice where you can have a seat as well. The service is fast and the staff are nice here! Highly recommend if you're craving some dim sum!

A pleasant and relaxing setting for casual dim sum. The service is courteous. The dim sums selections are limited but they have all the basics. The quality is decent and reasonably priced. Tip: it does take about 15 minutes or more to get the food, since they are steamed when ordered.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance. The music and dim lighting adds a good atmosphere and aesthetic. The menu is simple to understand and the prices are reasonable. The staff who assisted us is friendly and pleasant. The shrimp dumplings we ordered are plumpy and delicious

Coming back for more delicious food. Love this place! This time trying the shumai and stewed chicken feet

We needed a quick morning bite and stumbled in this little gem. We were greeted immediately by a very nice lady. We ordered two fried rice, shrimp rice noodles and mushroom bao bun. If we had more time, we would've ordered more of the classic dim sum but we were in a hurry. The food came out pretty quick. I love the artwork and decor representing the street food and classic dim sum. Friendly staff and solid flavors make this a great dine-in or grab-and-go option!

Decided to give this place a try since i love the idea of fast, quick dimsum. The store is clean. Customer service is nice and welcoming. Food is good until it isnt. Pork XLB is decent, a little bit salty, overpriced i would say. Almost 18$ for 10pc Shrimp Rice Rolls are okay, overcooked so the rice rolls turned soggy and gamey. Chicken feet is okay, lack of flavors And oh boy the star of the day, the questionable Fried Shrimp Beancurd rolls. Smells good, looks weird and bravely took a bite and it was so bad. Im not sure if i would come here again. Order #23 of 5/14.

Service was good and food came out fast! Very fun interior with seating. Perfect spot to satisfy a quick craving.

Oopsie - ate one dumpling from each plate before taking photo Left to right - shrimp ha gow, pork siumai, sweet soft tofu

Place is clean and has cute decor. Selection is small and food comes out fast (it's dim sum so it's already steamed). I ordered the pork siumai and shrimp ha gow and their sweet soft tofu. Flavor is spot on and authentic. Tofu needed more ginger syrup. Value was okay. Wish they had more choices.

Very cute little dumpling place! Service was fine and the prices are pretty good! not super expensive which was nice :-)! the only thing is the dumplings are okay, I really liked the chive and shrimp but the "spicy wonton" was not very spicy and it was okay, the tofu did not have any ginger like in the pictures and was from a store haha so not homemade but decent. the bok chot was good! id come back for a little bite:-)!

Crystal Dumplings is a solid spot for a fast casual dim sum experience! This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots that could fill up fast depending on the day and time you can come. I would definitely recommend coming here earlier in the day as some of their more popular items could sell out. Inside, they have about 5-6 tables for seating and some amazing artwork paying homage to traditional dim sum and street food. For their menu, they have a great selection of all the dim sum staples! I came with some fam for brunch and we got a spread of the Pork & Shrimp Siumai, Shrimp Har Gow, Spicy Wontons, BBQ Pork Buns, Chicken Mushroom Buns, Salted Egg Yolk Buns, Stewed Beef Tripe, and Pork Soup Dumplings. Overall, everything we had was delicious and tasted just as good as the dim sum carts. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. This spot is definitely a great option for those looking for a fast casual dining vibe or even just to grab and go!

Kevin, Tuân, and Trieu answered all our questions clearly and helped us achieve our dream wedding. I am Vietnamese, and my husband is not, so they made accommodations to find menu items that would serve a multicultural guest list. The prices were very fair and transparent, and the 9 course menu was delicious. White Palace also decorated the restaurant for us and provided meaningful special touches like a champagne tower, special effects for the first dance, and a decorated sweetheart table. The restaurant and their staff made us feel valued and made our wedding shine. While doing wedding research, other venues had hidden charges while White Palace was all inclusive and reasonable. My only suggestion is that they should slice thinner cake slices. They sliced large slices so some of my guests did not receive cake while the guests who got cake didn't finish theirs. I would gladly recommend White Palace to anyone who is planning a wedding.

The…read moredim sum at Seafood Cove2 is totally overrated and the crowd there made it very stressful so I used to come here, Seafood Paradise for dim sum in a relaxed atmosphere. In December 2023 my sister who lives in HB harbor claimed this resto was too far for her but finally decided to have a big Christmas Birthday party and invited 30, 40 people, the manager was not there and my usual server was not there either so I asked and was shocked at the news although I expected it, the new owner told me he had closed on the purchase that day and would change the name to White palace but he would keep the chef and the manager David but that was not the case. To me the best Chinese restaurants were Furiwa and Seafood Paradise. It was sad they failed to understand that w today economy dominated by social medias and if they do not follow the trend, they would be out of business, I told David the manager but he was so confused about what I was talking about. Bad restaurants that spent money on social medias thrived beyond comprehension. My sister ordered the usual wedding menu, 10 courses w lobster, steamed fish, etc..I knew immediately it was a new chef, the lobster was flavorless, almost every course was bland but many people I know have hay fever and with severe sneezing sometimes they lose their sense of taste on top of being born w less taste buds, it can be a curse to have too many taste buds as I was skinny all my life from not being able to enjoy eating till I started cruising when in the old days, cruise ship chefs were of Michelin caliber. My sister threw another big bash on Chinese/VN new year 2-10-2024, again 10 courses dinner and again everything was bland, there was not even enough salt in the food. I made no comment when asked bc everybody seemed to like it so who was I to say anything and I wanted to support the new owner, the service was great so that was a plus. I came by many times for dim sum and was disappointed the menu was limited, my favorite items were no longer offered. On 1-18-2026 my cousin had a big party, she is the Cai Luong singer and impresario, if my count was correct there were 20 tables, 200 attendants and many performers. Unfortunately for $60 to $75 pp, they could only offered 5 courses as they had to pay the performers. Needless to say, I could only eat the walnut shrimp and fried fish, the fried rice was not at all edible, what were they thinking? no salt, very little egg, I sure did not get fat!. I think 3 stars are generous as I was frustrated w the meal, I had no idea what the lead singer was singing/screaming about so loud in Saigonese! Lol! The dude was a VN version of Liberace!. I was there to keep up w long lost relatives, I sadly found out one had just died and I was not able to find out what happened bc the sound system was not functioning properly, it was blasting so loud, I was almost deaf in both ears! It was impossible to know what all the performers were saying. The manager if you read this please fix it, I have no idea how any wedding can take place w zero sound system unless it just went kaput on that one day. I'll tell my cousin to check on this before booking here again. I can't believe they also bought another restaurant on Edinger, Santa Ana, maybe it's just me but I don't like the all white chairs and table, I worked all my life in hospital and I'm not a fan of all white furniture, The old Seafood paradise had beautiful romantic looking pink flowers, table cloth and beautiful comfortable chairs. I'm glad they seem to be doing great, good for them, I'm not going back here but I plan to go to their 2nd resto. Unfortunately HB and Little Saigon do not have very good Chinese restaurants, I miss Hong Kong and all the 5 stars hotel ayce buffets in, I'm looking forward to my VN trip w all the good food unfortunately Yelp has no presence in VN. My camera always eats first, I have about 10,000 pictures of food in my IPhone from all my cruises and trips around the world, I enjoy looking and relive all my culinary experience. Pl come back for my future review of the White palace #2.

The end result? Reasonable prices, warm service, and very tasty food. Like so many Chinese restaurants, the name and theme is inherently confusing. Up until last year, the place was Harbor Garden and it's rebranded to Noodle Star ever since. The Chinese name ("川粵" aka "Chuan Yue") would imply there is a Sichuan + Cantonese component to the offerings, despite the words "teppanyaki" and handmade noodles (手工麵) noted on the exterior as well as on signs on the interior. Typically any restaurant that dabbles in multiple regional Chinese variations (Sichuan, Cantonese, Shanghainese, Lanzhou, etc.) is a huge flight risk. Surprisingly, it all worked out. All of my orders were from different regions of the country, starting with a Cantonese beef chow fun (乾炒牛河) that was delightfully smokey from the wok hei (#1) and the noodles and beef were silky and smooth. While the noodles aren't as wide as I would have liked, they were still 100% workable in the dish. The Taiwanese style popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞) was wonderfully fried and the chicken was still juicy on the inside. Their napa cabbage + shrimp + pork steamed dumplings (白菜豬肉蝦水餃) were pillowy soft and steamed perfectly. They were plump and not too doughy; which is very appropo for a northern Chinese dish. The biggest surprise may have come from the soup dumplings (小籠包), which had just the right amount of soup and a very delicate dumpling skin that was downright excellent. The service was kind, attentive, and very bilingual with Mandarin and English. Prices might feel high to non-Cali folks, but the spectrum is very much on the Socal average. (#2). Bathrooms were mostly clean and the seating options were plentiful; solid for large and small group action. Parking can be tough on the weekends since it's a strip mall. I already know that I'll be back. If I was able to order 4 regions and they all came out excellent (#3), I can only imagine how excellent the rest of the house special group of dishes will be. __________ (#1) "Essence of the wok" -- it's a thing. (#2) At $15-19 for most dishes. (#3) Did we get lucky?

The only one that disappointed us were the soup dumplings, which fell apart because they stuck to the bottom. Also there just wasn't very much soup in them to begin with. Both of our favs were the baby ribs, which were so soft and flavorful. The fried shrimp balls were also good and were made to order so they were super crispy and fresh! But their food is still great most of the time. I now just get to go and eat at home or eat somewhere else so I don't have to deal with their service. I like the new update and the modern look of the restaurant but I feel that it's taking away. It's warmth. It feels a little more clinic-y if that makes sense. I'll probably update again if anything changes or if a family member is dying to go here. I just get really upset thinking about how I have two aunts in my last example that we've gone ands server. Who's been there for ages treats you different based on I guess your tipping and to me that's a put off. He is also very crass, and his jokes are kind of gross. The owner does try and go around. But the last time I've gone, she kinda just sat there. My last experience while in the restaurant was that there were maybe four or five tables of people about 2 to 4 in each table. And this was after dim sum time so there are no carts going around. And even though their staff was pretty full service was so slow. The food was kind of extra greasy and it gave a lot of us. Bad stomach aches. I still debate how bad I want dim sum when I have to go here. But at least their dim sum is still great! I really hope that the place does turn around because when I drive by I see how empty it's gotten and it makes me sad that my favorite place is not doing as well. Cross fingers!
