BEST TAKE OUT EVER for shelter-in-place! Fabulous high quality food for take out during the Coronavirus shut down. Love this neighborhood bistro's can-do attitude. French wine bottles 1/5 off / they even included free ice cream (French Vanilla bean, which was delicious!). This food makes other take out feel like a step below. Disclaimer: I'm from out of town and have only been here once. I had an amazing experience here! I visited REVE with a party of four. We had reservations. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS. They're an amazing little restaurant, but it's really hard to be a walk in. Parking here is terrible, they have a shared parking lot, it's very small. We parked across the street. The facility is cozy (small), and well designed. Make sure you dress up for this joint ;) everything is really proper. The four stars? They're there because the food was good. I had a chicken dish (the whole menu is in French, I felt left out), my husband a venison, our friends had steak. Everything was beautifully plated, but lacked something. We all felt that it was really good, but there was no "wow" factor. I would definitely recommend this place, I would return. read more

Very cute ambiance. Great service from the waitress that had a fun and outgoing personality. She recommended the Pommes Fritz -French fries - and they were very good. They might have been the best item. Had the special soup- butternut squash. It was lacking in flavor. Perhaps needed some salt and pepper? Main course was scallops and risotto. I found the scallops to be a little tough, overcooked and small. The dessert was good, but very small in relationship to the price you pay. We planned on splitting a dessert, and that was barely possible. The bill for 5 people was $400. I would say for a "bistro" it is overpriced. I don't think any of us would return. read more

Inside seating is a bit too cozy so if you prefer not to hear your neighbors' conversation, sit outside. Must order the cheese puffs. They are to die for! we've been coming here since it opened two years ago and have never been disappointed. definitely French bistro style, true-to-form. they change menus with the seasons, which is great. cheese puffs and bone marrow are great starters. mussels were just okay, a few unopened which is sloppy. they shouldn't have been in the pot. the coq au vin is superb, really flavorful. we've also had the venison and beef cheeks which we loved nice wine list with good options by the glass. outdoor seating, tented with heaters in the winter really love this place! read more

Perfect wedding anniversary dinner thanks to Rêve's professional service and excellent kitchen. We had Puget Sound oysters (creamy and sweet, as promised), foie gras, and the generously portioned sweetbread main. A glass of blancs de blancs Champagne with the oysters and a lovely bottle of cabernet franc (Chinon) with dinner. Espresso and baba au rhum to finish (would have liked a little more rum flavor and rhubarb zing in the latter, otherwise the meal was perfect as far as we were concerned). The friendly staff successfully endeavored to make us happy, in a very natural way. The other diners obviously enjoyed and lingered over their meals, as well -- service was attentive, but no one was rushed. Lovely seating outside in the tent (heated to keep it warm). I see one reviewer complained about the plastic tent, but that's exactly how they do it on Paris sidewalks for outdoor dining during chilly months! We look forward to our next meal! read more

We visited Reve last night for the first time and it was a fantastic visit. We were seated in the outdoor area, which was covered and heated so we were very comfortable. Our server Arlene was incredible, great energy, very familiar with the menu, and helped us pick a bottle of wine with the exact flavor profile I wanted without pressuring an upsell. The food was divine, we skipped the traditional appetizers (no escargot or onion soup this time, but next time for sure) and instead got the charcuterie board and mushroom tart. The chicken mousse on the charcuterie was so good I almost licked the dish. Both apps are a must-try. The venison and sweetbreads we had as entrees were both cooked perfectly and the accompanying sauces were delicious. The chocolate mousse and port for dessert capped off a wonderful date night. The food was traditional French cooking with a modern twist and the service via Sal was impeccable. I work in the hospitality industry and I can not say how lovely this experience was! Once you're inside, the room is nicer than the strip mall exterior suggests. Decor is generic Francophile, just a skosh classier than the Paris casino in Vegas. Tables are too close together, it's noisy, and the service is friendly if a little slow and unfocused. And the food is amazing. We had the sweetbreads and the scallops, the house salad, and two deserts to close it out: poached pear and chocolate pot du creme. Top shelf bistro food all the way, quality ingredients, no errors in execution. A very tasty meal indeed. Portions are good, prices fair - about $50 each plus drinks. Wine list is short but thoughtful, and the bar served up a solid Negroni. Three stars overall, bumping it up a star for the kitchen. read more

This is a small French bistro with a very nice atmosphere inside and also outdoor dining. Upon arriving, the hostess showed us to a table by the kitchen. We asked if she had anything else available and she showed us to a table next to the bathroom. We spotted another table by the window set up for two and asked if we could be seated there. She responded that she was going to seat three people there. So we opted for the lesser of two evils and chose the table by the kitchen. She never did seat three at the table by the window but instead she sat another couple. Wonder why she would not give us the table? The food is all right, nothing special. We ordered the steak and frites. The steak was a ribeye and was the thinnest ribeye that I have ever seen. The chef must be a master butcher to slice this thing so thin. At least it was tasty. The fries were excellent. The meal is not bad here, but the food and atmosphere is not very French. Still it is not a bad place to go for a neighborhood meal. read more

This is an outstanding neighborhood gem. The outdoor seating is our preferred spot (heated in the winter and covered in the warm months). They have excellent authentic French cuisine and the mussels and seasonal featured specials are always a treat. The waist staff is outstanding, Sophie is wonderful and knows her wine selections. Make sure you get a starter and follow through to dessert and an after dinner drink, it's a whole night experience if you want to get the full flavor of the place. I went here last night with my wife, and loved it. It was simple French food executed perfectly. It really hit the spot. And, they actually used salt, which I thought was nice. I did not try any of the wine, but they seemed to have a nice selection of affordable French options. One stylistic note: I ordered the mushroom risotto with shaved black truffles. Normally, I would have expected them to shave the truffles at the table. Instead, they brought the dish out with the truffles already on top. Missed opportunity, but it tasted fabulous. We ordered the fois gras torchon and pate apps (both were exceptional). I had a French onion soup and risotto. My wife ordered the moules frites. Absolutely everything was executed perfectly. I guess my summary is that the food here punches above its weight. You can go to a much fancier and more expensive restaurant and not get food that is materially better than this. It has a rustic atmosphere and is very lowkey. So, maybe that's what you are giving up. Loved this place and will definitely be coming back. read more

Since it's rocky opening 1.5 years ago, Reve has really gotten it's "A"game on. On a nice summer evening, the patio is the place to be. If the wind comes up, heaters are available. The French chef and his wife, Laura, are the owners, efficiently running the show. Everything but the bread is made in-house completely from scratch. The attention to quality shows. The floral plates with a colorful peacock design evoke the French countryside. The blue checked tablecloths give the patio a friendly casual feel. The menu changes with the seasons. We enjoyed pate served with crusty bread, duck just the way we like it, and sweet breads, an item not often seen on menus any more. Half a carafe of wine was sufficient for two, priced reasonably, and on Tuesdays, all bottles of wine are reduced in price to give patrons the opportunity to try something new. Indoor dining boasts a dozen or more tables plus there are a few seats at the bar. Diners all around us enjoyed their repast. Reservations are necessary as Reve has become a very popular restaurant...and for good reason. The food is excellent! read more

It is a totally relaxing place to have dinner and the staff are so friendly and helpful you cannot help but feel at home with the whole experience . Everything from the food to the massive wine list to the service was just impeccable!! We came here for the first time to celebrate our 8 year Wedding Anniversary, which we mentioned to the server. Not only did he put a candle in our dessert but he even wrote out a 'happy anniversary' card and had some of other wait staff sign it!!! Ok onto food!! Everything was pretty much amazing!! Start off with the Goûgeres!! They were little cheesey-carby blobs of goodness!! The Onion Soup (which we split and they were nice enough to put in two bowls! ) was delicious, molten, gooey goodness!! Very rich in flavor but wasn't oily. You didn't feel like your mouth was covered in fat. Paired that with the Reve Salade which came with an olive tapenade; crisp, fresh and wonderful. We split the duck for our main and I would say it was the most perfectly cooked duck I've ever had in my life. I'm not much of a duck person but Rêve made me change my mind. Cooked medium it was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Paired with a veggie succotash and house made chips. Peach tarte for dessert! Just amazing!! We also had the most wonderful bottle of a Granache Syrah but sadly I do not remember what it was. All in all it was amazing and Rêve I can't thank you enough for making our wedding anniversary one to remember! read more

This was my second visit to REVE, and I will definitely be a repeat customer! My first experience wasn't great, and now I think it was just an off night. Tonight the service and food was beyond excellent! The soup du jour was a cup of chilled roasted pepper and tomato deliciousness. Our sever brought wine pairings that only enhanced the food. He was attentive, but not overbearing and spoke so fondly of the owners. He clearly values and enjoys his REVE family. Next, the salad with figs, cheese, and ham, was the most perfect salad I've ever eaten. Seriously. I'd eat it everyday. Perfection. And then came steak frites... holy *~'! The food at Reve was as good as it gets. Four of us went this past Saturday night for a birthday dinner. We started with oysters and finished with lemon meringue tart. The service was super mediocre. The food was downright bad. French puffs as starters smelled funny. The coq au vin - was really tasteless. While the chicken was tender, the mushrooms, the sauce and the onions were plain blah. The mashed potatoes were bland . The wine selection is good, their desserts not at all impressive, stay away from the tart de jour. our friends enjoyed the steak here, call it saving grace.
