We have their Signature Plan maintenance program for these two locations. On an annual routine maintenance for our rental property A/C unit. There was some question about a possible system leak of refrigerant. Nick performed an extensive series of leak tests and found none leaks. He did what we've come to expect from Brower, i.e. be honest on the performance of our HVAC and don't try to upsell us on expensive repairs or replacement until it is truly necessary. After researching options in the area, I chose CD & Power because they seemed like the most professional and reputable choice -- even though their quotes came in at more than double what competitors were charging. Given that this is something I only do once a year, I wanted it done right. Unfortunately, both generators started leaking oil after the service. The backup generator leaked so badly that it shut itself down while running -- a serious problem for an off-grid home that depends on it. The RV generator was leaking as well, and I hadn't even run it yet. To their credit, CD & Power did respond and sent someone out to address the issues. The same technician came back, tightened the oil filters, and cleaned up some of the oil. However, he left a significant oil stain on my epoxy floor -- something that would have been simple to clean up while he was there. It felt like a detail that a truly professional service would have taken care of without being asked. When you're paying a significant premium for a service, you expect the job to be done right the first time -- and when it isn't, you expect the follow-up to be thorough. I really expected more on both counts.
