We moved to SDCE 6 years ago, and we thought that Ramona Lisa was pretty good. They had good coupons that helped feed our family of 5. Our most recent experiences have been very dissappointing. Skimpy toppings, poor taste, and the delivery guy smells like cigarettes. Plus, the prices have gone up, and quality/quantity has gone down. First tried to call in order couldn't understand the guy that answered. He put me on hold.....8 minutes later.... I hung up and tried back..line was busy for another 10 minutes. This place isn't so busy they can't take care of customers.. after ordering finally when I get there 45 minutes later..1 guy eating in the restaurant... I give the guy behind the counter my name and he says he forgot to make my order!!!! What it's a Wednesday at 12:30 in the estates nobody around and you forgot to make my order, seriously:-( so I am sitting here waiting another 15 minutes giving them my review. This is one of probably 5 total eateries with in the Country Estates. The service is "ehhh" and inside is pretty sad, but the food is actually pretty good. I enjoy their calzones quite a bit I must say, and you can get thing just about however you want, but if this restaurant were in just about any other location it probably wouldn't do very well. If you happen to be in the Estates and don't want to drive to "town" for food or make food yourself, this place and the Mexican food place next door are pretty decent. We used to love this place. Not sure what happened. We ordered a pizza for delivery and it showed up 2hrs later (said it would take one hour). They said we could get a free pizza next time we called. I have only ordered from this spot twice since new to the area since 2012 and tonight was the last night. Ordered their family deal pizza , wings and 2 liter. Pizza was amateur like what my wife and 2 year old daughter made for me a few weeks ago for fun. Wings tasted like a 12 pack of foster farm wings boiled then mixed with Franks hot sauce. It was better with the old owners. It tastes like dominos now. Not good. We spent 48$ on an extra large pizza and 20 wings and they didn't even give us all the wings, it was missing some. We didn't notice until we got home with the food. If I'm going to spend that kind of money on some pizza n wings, it better be right and taste good. The wings tasted old and over cooked as well. Whenever I go here the food is pretty good, but tonight it was bad. I ordered pasta with extra cheese and butter and they gave me extra extra butter instead. The bowl that it was in was practically half way filled with butter and so much that it leaked into the plastic carry out bag. Moved to Ramona back in October and we've ordered from here 3 times so far. Twice were carry-outs and once for delivery. All three times we've had no complaints. We've tried a different pizza each time. The Chicken Alfredo has been our favorite! We've tried a few different sides, which all have been great! The first time we ordered garlic twists, they weren't that great, but the second time was better. Not sure if it was lack of garlic/butter sauce or what. This pizza is decent (albeit extremely cheesy) everything else is unbelievably disgusting. My mozzarella sticks last night were hard n cooked in dirty oil and gross. The first time I tried it they were frozen inside. Now, I'm 31 years old. Never in my life have I tasted rotten pasta until last night. The fettuccine noodles tasted like it was cooked in rotten milk. I don't know how else to explain it but it tasted so spoiled n nasty; the plain noodles. The texture of them were also so cheap. The chicken in the chicken parm looked like grey soggy meat. I spend 30$ and threw it all away. I only order there when I'm very desperate. Next time I'll stick to pizza they do that okay. read more

I have been a longtime loyal customer to Ra-Mona Lisa's. I've love this little local pizza shop, especially since they brought the manager Steve in. The pizza and all the food is absolutely delicious. I probably order delivery at least three times a week. The drivers are always pleasant and nice, I've never had a problem with any of them. Always respectful and polite. Going in to pick up your food is the same experience of friendliness. Really nice staff and great food. This use to be my fave place to get a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Not anymore. They also use to have it in a lunch special, not anymore. Went to go split a lunch which has sandwich, fries and a salad and we ended up not getting that as we agreed to a 12" sub and didn't think anything of it until it came and no salad or fries but that was our fault I guess for not scanning the menu better. The meat tasted weird and very little of it on there and barely any onions, peppers and I didn't even taste any shrooms but my mom found one piece of one and to take the cake, this sandwich was $12.99. Totally bummed that my new found yummy place for philly has turned to icky blah. I will say this, I always give a place another try and will have to try a pizza to see if that's any better but I'll have to think long and hard. read more

Yummm... New Owner(s) is Steve and group... at the neighbor store "Country Village Store - Beer Wine & Spirits". Steve is such a WONDERFUL community guy and business owner, so when we heard that he bought Ra-mona Lisa's, thought we should try it again. WOW, what a difference!!! We ordered the 14" Four Cheese Pizza; Sm Antipasto Salad and they said 50 minutes ... okay, that's fine. Our order arrived in 35 minutes. Just two of us for dinner and we easily could have feed 4 with both the 14" pizza and sm salad. The pizza crust was perfect, the flavor was perfect and the salad was fresh with tons of meat and goodies... we have leftovers. Thanks Steve and Ra-mona Lisa's group for saving our local (SDCE/Ramona) and convenient pizza/Italian food restaurant. Anxious to try the other things on the menu!!! read more

For the most part the food is excellent, the Chicago style pizza is a family favorite at my house. However there are off-nights and the food will not be a good, not awful, just not as good. Customer service is bad, I have called in and the phone was busy for over an hour, I have been put on hold and after ten minutes, I hung up. Oct 15 2013, I called in ordered the 14.99 coupon special as with i always use for delivery. got the peparonni pizza easy sauce for delivery. she didnt tell me my total. i gave her my card over the phone. total $30.00. I told her but i have the coupon. she snapped its for pick up only we changed the website. ( I GOT THESE COUPONS LAST WEEK) I told her i would pick it up. i got the void and re charged it on my card i was mad already because of attitudes and the lack of attention on the phone. i went home opened the pizza box. I had a lg pizza no sauce and cheese only. I called in and they asked what do you want me to do about it. I took the pizza back and the girl said i only heard you say cheese. i told her that she repeated the order ans i clarifyed it 3 times with her. the guy was in back saying im not making another one. the othet guy slipped one into the oven and after i stood there 20 minutes the girl took the otherone i had brought back off the top of the oven opened the box and told the guy (who didnt want to make me another one) throw some peparonni on it and sprinkle a little cheese on it and reheat it. i took the pizza home (after an arguement about a new one) I opened the box picked up a slice and the new cheese and peparonni fell off. the pizza had no flavor and the crust was waffer thin.(it was like taking a med dough and streching it out to an extra large. on a scale of 0 - 10 0 being worse they get -00. I my self am in the pizza business up in Los Angeles and i have never seen service like this anywhere. Horrible, horrible service! We have lived in the Estates for a few years now. We have gone there a few times. The food is Okay, not the best quality. But recently within the past 6 months, their service is increasingly horrible! They are rude when you call, they hang up on you & rude at pick up. They messed up our order and didn't care to fix it. They told us drive the items back & they would refund your money for that item. This was a huge inconvenience to us. And No apology or sincere gesture from them for their mistake at all. So in addition to their mediocre food and their horrible customer service and lack of accuracy, we will never waste our money there again! They seriously need new Management!!! Ordered beer as advertised in a " frosty mug" but we were told to get a bottle out of refrigerator. Asked for a glass of chianti... Three employees there did not know what it was even though it was on the menu! I finally pointed out a bottle on the shelf and then they reluctantly opened it!
