Tara was amazing. What a fantastic waitress the best waitress we've had year to date. We've been to numerous restaurants this year, but Tara was the best Her customer service her attention to detail her promptness. Everything was great about her. When you go to the restaurant, please ask for Tara to be your server.. Luis, the manager was phenomenal. Checked on us numerous times service was impeccable restaurant is clean. Food was hot. Everything was great thank you so much. We will return.

RA always provides a decent experience, but nothing I would call exceptional. Our waitress, however, was genuinely one of the kindest servers I've ever had. She was frequently checking in, and took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. The service here really stood out for going above and beyond. The food itself was solid, but not what I'd consider great, especially given the prices compared to other sushi spots I personally prefer. The caveat to this is that the portion sizes are pretty reasonable.

Stopped in for some crab fried rice, but unfortunately, it was just not good. Flavors were all wrong. It actually tasted weird. That's my best description. My blushing geisha cocktail was ok and service was pretty good, hence the 3 star review, but can't say I'll be back to this Ra or any other Ra anytime soon!

Taven was an incredible server and the food was absolutely amazing! The environment was clean, the food came out extremely fast, and honestly the prices are quite reasonable for the serving sizes!

Loved the food and ambience! Service was a little slow to start and we waited 20 min before flagging someone down to serve our table, but once we got out server it was a great experience. The food came out quickly, it was so fresh and some of the best of this cuisine I've had. Definitely worth stepping in and trying :)

We come to Ra from time to time for a quick lunch. I do love the lunch options here. My husband and I love the bento boxes.the server was great and prompt. Pricing is unbeatable for casual lunch. Ambiance is okay. This location is a bit old and needs refreshed but is always clean.

I've been to a lot of sushi restaurants, but RA is definitely one of my favorites. Everything is made to order, so you're always getting it fresh. If you go, you have to try the RAckin' Roll it's super crunchy, flavorful, and easily one of the best things on the menu. I also tried some of my mom's ramen, which didn't impress me. (not flavorful) The hibachi plates are good but not worth $45 for just rice and meat. The service was fine -- nothing to complain about, but nothing that really stood out either. They have great happy hour deals so I'd definitely recommend going then to sample a few different rolls or drinks.

LOVEEEEEE! Thanks to the bartender Brandon for treating me well and taking care of me! Sangria was delicious and sushi was so good. I didn't take pictures of my salmon nigiri or Las Vegas roll. But it's because I was so hungry and scarfed it down omg. The restaurant is open and big the theme is red and asian. Fitting for the vibe. This RA is nice, I'd come here again :-)

3.5 but rounding up because of the service. Stopped in on a Monday with a friend and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was happy hour all day. The menu is extensive and offers items ranging from hibachi to sushi and more. I ordered a HH California roll, chashu ramen, and we split the chili ponzu yellowtail roll. The yellowtail roll was definitely my favorite although I did feel like it could use a bit more yellowtail on top. The California roll was fine and the ramen was better than I was expecting. While it wasn't the best I've ever had, the noodles and egg were great and the pork and broth were decent. I usually avoid RA Sushi because it's on the more expensive side for average sushi. The area where I was seated wasn't super clean with trash under the table. However, service was very good and I did enjoy my food, it was just on the pricier side for the quality. I'd definitely come back on a Monday again for happy hour!

Great sevice from the bartender, absolute miss on the deli meat thin sliced ahi tuna appetizer... for $16 with ice tea and tip i walked out hungry and mad at my lunch! $24 was the final total I have decided this unimpressive "upscale" sushi bar is no longer where either would like to spend my money or hungry lunches...

We pretty much go twice a month for Monday Happy Hour & it doesn't disappoint! We absolutely love the menu & liked everything we have tried so far! The service is good, waiter was attentive. I love sitting outside or inside, absolutely love the lighting inside though. I got my family to sign up for the rewards for their birthdays too. We definitely will be coming back!

3 stars because they celebrate Veterans! The food took over an hour so definitely don't arrive super hungry. The person who was assigned to our table was great despite the wait. She apologized several times and we knew this was absolutely not her fault and tipped her the largest amount possible on the card reader device since she had an amazing attitude despite dealing with many frustrated tables. The food is subpar at best. The meal below is the filet mignon and shrimp which comes to about 56$ with tax. I would probably have paid 10$ max due to the quality and quantity of meat. They do have a decent happy hour which might be worth the price!

The food was great but we definitely could have been treated better. The host had an awkward vibe to her and after a while it seemed like the server was avoiding us even though we were spending a lot there. He claimed they were out of ribeye steak and we also couldn't get a wagu steak by it self. Basically the high ticket menu items they were "out of." The final order we put in took over half an hour so we requested the server and host to just cancel it, we were done. Our request was aknowledged, however instead of bringing us the check, the server returned with the missing roll suddenly although we had already canceled and were waiting to leave. He obviously wasn't listening and it was clear the roll had been done for quite some time. During our visit we caught numerous staff whispering and staring at us throughout service, kind of creepy. Clearly someone didn't want us there, likely a manager who felt some way about us. Wouldn't be surprised if our server was advised by his superior to cut us off. Could have easily had a $200 tip but that will never happen, as we wont be coming back. read more

I 10000% recommend this place, my mother brought me here as a surprise and the service was wonderful, we had Keiko as our server and she was so nice. The food was amazing too. I had the "Ra" wesome roll, and ramen and nothing was too over powering, the flavors blended well, the owner was the sweetest, and the ambiance and furniture was sooo pretty omg. I have been going to RA Sushi in Mesa for about 6 years. I walked in last week and Michelle without missing a step placed an extra hot Sake on the table and said "do you want me to order for you?" I play professional golf and this game will just beat you into the ground emotionally. Michelle sensed that and took matters into her own hands I simply cannot say enough about the Customer Service as of late. This Management Team is on the ball however you cannot teach the skills that Michelle has. I never take the time to do these silly surveys but I felt the need to do so in this case. First off I've been to this location many times and have never had a bad service experience. Last night when I visited it was fantastic had a great date night on my day off. Taylor was our server at the sushi bar (which I rarely sit at) restaurant wasn't busy so several options for seating just thought sushi bar would be fun, and that it was Manny and Max were the sushi chefs for the evening. Service was quick, professional and all around enjoyable. (I say this as I am a restaurant professional myself) food came out in a timely manner and correctly. All 3 of my interactions with the team members was encouraging and made us want to stay and order more food. However my only complaint would be about the manager. He appeared behind the sushi line 3 separate times and never spoke to me and my dining guest not any other of the maybe 8 tables in the restaurant, tbh never saw him on the actual floor. It was quite disappointing to see this as I too manage restaurants. Could've had 5 stars... but the 4 are earned and deserved by your service team FOH and BOH not management. All in all Taylor, Manny, and Max made my experience wonderful and I will be back for them and their service! read more

I would like to start off by thanking mark, and the general manager and also the waitress who helped me that night, I had came in just to have a regular meal and I ended up mixing the sauce with the to-go box didn't close it all the way in my food fell everywhere after I got out of my lift from coming home, they were very generous to look into the situation for me I had provided photos and proof and he then followed up with me and Christmas Eve letting me know that he is still looking into the situation I then decided to come in on Christmas Day just because I also don't have any family for Christmas so it was going to be a pretty nice time to have sushi and have a nice relaxation for my Christmas day now I get to go home with the sushi being on the house and the generosity that was shared was overwhelming, thank you so much for providing this type of customer care and I definitely will be coming back for more rock and roll and more edema beans than you! read more

Went tonight for happy hour. There was two other couples in there. The floor was disgusting. It needed to be vacuumed. So bad. Our table even had a napkin folded under it to make sure it didn't tilt. We did notice that the guy making sushi did not have gloves on, we have been to this place a couple of times and it was always good. I don't know what happened. We won't be back. It was so dirty. The sushi was even made different that we normally order. We had the garlic edamame, and it had too much oil in it so none of the garlic sauce stuck to the edamame. Overall bad experience.. the only reason I gave it two stars is because our waitress was very nice and attentive. There was only one waitress helping. As people were coming in, they were waiting by the door, and there was no one there to greet them. I don't know where everyone was. read more

We had a fantastic dinner! We came in around 6pm on Sunday night and there was no wait, which is crazy, because it's Happy Hour on Sundays after 3pm! We got some great apps and rolls on Happy Hour prices! Kako Nicole was our Server and she was on top of everything. She kept our waters full and recommended a roll that was really good and it was on Happy Hour! She was friendly and fast! My girlfriend and I went to grab an early lunch, Robin was awesome in recommending what to eat! She recommended the scallop dynamite roll with the seared tuna, which we would definitely order again. Food was undercooked, cold (should have been hot) and the shrimp tempura roll was cold and squishy. Horrible! I don't think it even had shrimp in it. Last time I will be taken. This place has a wide selection of delicious food. We started off our meal with an order of spring rolls and an order of California Rolls. The California roll was fresh and tasty. The spring rolls had a crispy wrap and a soft filling. We then had ramen. I had the "Ra"men and my mom had the chasu (sp) ramen. Both were delicious! The drinks were great as well. The server and hostess were attentive and polite. They took great care of us while we were there. The restaurant was clean and well kept. Very disappointed unfortunately. Came for lunch with my daughter and nephew. Charged prices higher than what was on the menu. Ended up with a bill over $80 for 2 lunch menu items and a seaweed salad for my daughter. Food was ok. Bathrooms were really gross: black mold in and around toilets, smelled like urine. This was my first time eating at ra sushi It was amazing the food was great. It is definitely in my top 3 places to eat in the USA. What was really the best thing about it was the service it was impeccable our waitress was amazing and just by stopping by the table to check on us either because sometimes it's like your server just stops by and peppers you so that you can see they are coming by. This waitress stopped by at the exact moment that you needed something her personal was perfect. She was so good at her job. When I eat there again I will request her, her name is Emma and she deserves a raise she was amazing at describing the food and just an all around delight. The food was fantastic, the service was amazing, and the prices were reasonable you can't ask for more then that. I give it a 10 all around an absolute must. read more

I was allowed a taste and concluded this was an order well made. Unlike most Mexican food outings I ordered a birria burrito instead of carnitas. Wow, this burrito was truly impressive and so plentiful that I took half home in my eat-later bag. So, this being our third seating at Zona Cantina + Cocina we were yet again impressed and will return another day. Get there if you're able.

Then from there they have a mini snack station with lemon water and plum juice to snack on if there was a wait. There were several various birthday balloons and signs for several seated booths. We were given wet wipes, hair ties, aprons. The tables come with a little stacked swivel shelves for putting more food so it won't crowd the tables. There was a station for making the sauces as well as rice porridge and some fruits. And there was a dessert station too. They offer all you can eat for $37 for set A or $47 for set B which is the premium. We selected the $37 AYCE. We chose mushroom and tomato soup base enjoyed pork belly, beef brisket, basa fish, Napa cabbage, enoki, corn, bean curd, and more. They have 3 options for Bogo free of the milk tea. A few staff came over to sing happy birthday and give a cheese cake slice. Staff were friendly and helpful. I was so full and would happily come back again.

When this visit first started, I was honestly very disappointed. There were several moments during the ordering process that negatively affected our experience. I was repeatedly interrupted while ordering, my request to use the same soup base in two sections of the four-part pot for my child was denied, and after choosing the All You Can Eat option, I was immediately warned about leftover penalties before we had even started ordering. Those interactions made me feel more like I was being monitored than welcomed, which was very different from the level of hospitality I expected from Haidilao. Instead of ignoring my concerns, the dining room manager, Evi, took the time to listen to everything I had to say. I explained my entire experience, including my disappointment from a previous visit when I ordered a Zootopia promotion but was never told about or given the promotional gift. Evi was patient, professional, and genuinely wanted to understand why I was unhappy. More importantly, the management acknowledged my feedback and told me they would review and improve these issues. They also generously comped our entire meal, which I appreciated--not because I wanted free food, but because it showed they took customer feedback seriously. After those initial issues, the rest of our meal was excellent. The food quality was great, and the service for the remainder of the visit was attentive, friendly, and exactly what I had hoped for when coming to Haidilao. Nobody gets everything right every time. What matters to me is how a business responds when something goes wrong. In this case, they listened instead of arguing, took responsibility instead of making excuses, and made a sincere effort to make things right. Because of that attitude, I'm happy to update my review to 5 stars. I truly hope the improvements we discussed become part of the experience for every future customer, because that's the Haidilao reputation people come here expecting.

Wow, just had an absolutely phenomenal experience at RA Sushi in Mesa, and a massive part of that was thanks to our incredible server, Logan! From the moment we were seated, Logan was so warm and genuinely friendly, making us feel like valued guests right away. Their welcoming smile set the perfect tone for our evening. Logan was also incredibly knowledgeable and efficient. They patiently answered all our questions with a smile and made sure we understood everything we were ordering. Throughout our meal, Logan was consistently attentive and on-the-ball, always checking in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive. Our drinks were never empty, and our table was kept impeccably clean. You could tell they were truly invested in ensuring we had a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. It has been a long time since I ordered here but my car is kind of on the fritz and in the shop, so I ordered the other day and it's pretty good and I ordered it again today and it was pretty good they've changed their $22 to shimmy from I don't know some Thin slices of garbage to some lovely choices beautiful yellowtail my Sami Abby sweet shrimp raw octopus plus all the others that were there before I have to tell you the quality and the quantity or improved and I feel like I'm jinxing it because seriously without a car right now starving I had food that was so delicious my choice of food and I'm not overly full but I am very satisfied I also got a spicy tuna roll can't complain about that of course Postmates prices are ludicrous but hey I don't have a car Beggars can't be choosers hey you raw you've upped your game 2 3 and 1/2 everyone else has three from all the bras that are still open some closed you're up to three and a half stars now congratulations keep trying keep improving it's silly to make a bunch of money given a food and then going to business like your Tempe business so Keep On Keepin On I like the fact that you don't overly put rice all over the spicy tuna roll just keep doing it but Postmates needs to up their game so you can put down fresh wasabi spicy mayo without having to call the store after ordering but that's not on you free stars from this particularly unhappy customer in the past about time how many years has it been read more

It had been many years since I last visited RA Sushi, but my husband surprised me with a lunch date, and I'm so glad he did! We ordered the Viva Las Vegas Rolls paired with iced tea, and everything was absolutely delicious. The tea was so fresh and flavorful--you could tell it was brewed with care. The sushi itself was a delightful twist on the classic Las Vegas rolls we're used to. They had a perfect hint of spice and were beautifully presented, making the experience both tasty and visually appealing. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. The manager greeted us with a warm "Happy New Year" as soon as we walked in, and his kindness didn't stop there. He came to our table, offered to take a souvenir photo of us, and then printed it out in an adorable little frame for us to keep. It's rare to find such a thoughtful and personalized touch these days, and it truly made our visit special. I only go to RA during happy hour. If I went there other times and had to pay full price for their sushi, it wouldn't warrant 5 stars. But during happy hour it sure does. Their appetizers are delicious. We usually get the stuffed wontons. Very good. I love their miso soup, and there's always an edamame on our table. We've tried most of the rolls I think. The rainbow roll is great, and the Las Vegas roll is the pinnacle of sushi making. Get one of those. It'll change your life. The ambiance here is great too, as long as you're ok with a little noise. The red and black motif is really quite beautiful, and the crowd (not to mention the service staff) usually has some very nice looking people, men and women. I will say, the only thing I ever got at RA that I didn't love was the spicy tuna roll. Maybe I'm just not a huge fan of spicy tuna, but it tasted like a bell pepper factory had exploded in my face. I came in tonight to have dinner with my mom. It was our first time in, our server Krysti gave us edamame on the house for coming in for the 1st time which was a nice treat. The crunchy shrimp temp roll was our favorite. All the staff was really attentive so I don't know why the table across from us stormed out after waiting only 5 minutes. There appeared to be only 2 servers and a few tables came in at the same time we happen to be sitting near the host stand so it was hard to not notice. The manager Mark came up to make sure we were taken care and that we weren't having to wait for anything. I think this had to do with that rude table that refused drinks from the host in the 1st 2 minutes of seating and stormed out. But we were more than happy with the service provided. Second time at this location, first was 5 stars great experience! This second time was not so great! We were ignored the first 20 minutes of being sat, when the waitress stopped catering to a group of young girls she finally came to our table, I ordered the surf an turf, (I did not like it at all) I did plan on letting the waitress know it had a weird taste but again she never came back!! Not once did she ask how our meal was! I did have a viva Las Vegas roll that I enjoyed but I still paid for the food I barely touched!! I had to flag the waitress down to pay the bill! At the other table she waited while they each paid, with my table she just put this card machine on the table and walked away without info on what to do!!! I should have just left but karma!!! Ok so the have okay rolls but i think the service kind of sucks. I went there for my birthday. The service took forever. Even though there were only about 4 other parties in the entire restaurant. The worst of everything you can imagine. I looked around, and noticed people getting fried / cooked rolls, I eas sushi, sashimi, if you want some sort of cooked stuff with fake crab, and don't mind bad service. then by all means stop here, if you want real sushi please keep searching! Horrible experience from the start. Food was cold, service was terrible and no one seems to know what they are doing. I spent over 2 hours for a meal that should have taken 45 minutes. I have been coming for years and will never be back. I have tried three times hoping maybe it was just an "off day." Every time the experience gets worse. I hope management gets it together and makes the necessary changes! read more

I would have never imagined the level of poor service and garbage sushi rolls I received at RA sushi tonight. What a huge disappointment! We went here to celebrate my birthday and just poor service, and even the sushi wasn't par for what you should expect at RA. Sad to say, RA is off my sushi list for the foreseeable future. Bad service, poor quality food is not a reason to return. read more

I had Kayla as my server and man oh man may I just say... she was a RA'ck star! She put her whole heart and soul into making sure we had the most spectacular experience. She was not only super attentive but funny as hell! Did I mention her good looks? 10/10 would recommend. I will definitely be returning just to get served by her again. read more

My girlfriends and I just had dinner at RA on Val Vista and Baseline. The food was great and our server Alec was amazing. He was extremely nice and always made sure we had what we needed. Additionally, his manager came by and also asked how we were doing. The food was great, the food was delicious and the staff was amazing. read more

RA is a staple in the East valley! We love coming here for reverse and the friendly service always makes us feel welcome no matter what time we show up! Kayla is our favorite by far she's always funny and friendly and she makes us feel like we're hanging out with an old friend! Would definitely always recommend this place!!! read more

I have no words for what amazing service I received at this location today. Alyssa was incredible. She was so attentive and sweet. I never had to ask twice for anything. We were in town visiting for a Muay Thai competition and we decided to go to RA Sushi as a pregame celebration. Everything was phenomenal from start to finish, but especially our server Alexa! She had everything out so quickly and had such a sweet and welcoming vibe. New favorite sushi spot! read more

We enjoyed having dinner at this location tonight, the food was unbelievable. But even better than that was the service, especially the manager who made sure everyone felt welcome and was just beyond friendly. The miso soup is to die for. It was very clean and nice.
