One of my faaaavorite boba places in the bay, I wish they were located closer (but also not really because I'd be there literally everyday LOL). Location: - located in a little stall inside Westfield Valley Fair in SJ, it's on the second floor and the closest parking is probably by Nordstrom. It's also kind of close to Ramen Nagi and the theater inside the mall. Parking could be a problem on weekends since the mall is usually packed, but there are several parking structures around Valley Fair. Service: - could be hit or miss, but generally the employees are super nice and patient. The first few times I was here I couldn't decide what drinks to get, and the employees were helpful in recommending some drinks and patient with me as I chose one. They do take Apple Pay, card and cash, not sure about any other forms of payment. You order and pay on the left side, and pick up your drink on the left side with the order number. You can see them making it while you wait! They allow for ice and sweetness adjustments, besides the smoothie drinks. Drinks are pretty average priced in my opinion; I feel like most places around the bay area price their drinks around $5-7 nowadays. Boba is getting quite expensive. Drinks: - Lavender Milk Tea - my absolute favorite drink from here. One time, I got one before getting Ramen Nagi and after I was done eating at Ramen Nagi I was like I NEED another lavender milk tea. So there's that. 10/10. I always do 50% ice and regular sweet. The lavender doesn't taste artificial or powdery at all, which is a great bonus. It just smells really refreshing and isn't too sweet. I also always add boba! It's a golden color :) - Golden Jinxuan Oolong Milk Tea - not bad! 8/10. Not my favorite compared to the Lavender obviously, but the oolong has a strong tea flavor. I love places that use brewed tea. There must be at least a dozen tea/boba spots in this mall and every single one had a line, save for this one which was more of a scattered line than an actual one. Minus one star for not having any kind of organization or social distancing practices in place. Yes, I know that things are slowly opening up and all, but there should still be some way to know where the line is formed instead of asking everyone in the area if they are in line. Ordering is simple enough, although they need a bigger menu since the one they have on display is tiny and near the registers. They do have another menu next the cashiers, but I like to order already knowing what I want instead of taking up more time from the cashier and from other customers as well. We got the Medium size Iced Lavendar Milk Tea, 25% sweetness and 30% ice with a salted cold foam and a Large Iced Pineapple Queen of Hearts Mojito with 30% ice (temperature, size, sweetness level cannot be changed on this one drink). We placed and received our order within 15 minutes and that was with other customers already in front of us. Queen of Hearts Mojito was fine and I enjoyed the pineapple substitution, however my sister commented that hers was still too sweet for her taste and that she was glad that she had gotten the lowest possible sweetness level. The service was slow, even though we were the only ones in line, and they work very helpful in explaining the different teas, like they couldn't be bothered. Assam black milk tea with 50 sugar is my little cup of heaven. Their pearls here are clear which is different than all other boba shops, but it doesn't mean anything bad. As a matter of fact, their pearls always seem to be the perfect consistency here. My kids also enjoy the rabbit cutouts that you can add to your straws. My husband and younger daughter really enjoy their peach citrus tea. It's really refreshing on a hot day. I will be coming back for more drinks when I'm in the area, but due to its location being inside Valley Fair mall, I wouldn't venture out of my way to come here since we have so many bubble tea shops in the bay area. read more

Got this less sweet and found it to be not too sweet at all which was good. Found the drink easy to drink, but half way through started reminding me of those tropical air fresheners. They also claimed that they were out of boba for the day, it was only noon. $5.50 for their Fruit Flavored Teas. Sunny Day - part of their Cloud Smoothie series, flavor is a blue citrus Calpico. Got this at 50% sweetness and found the drink to be way too icy, subtly tasting like Calpico and a touch sweet. The touches of whipped cream "clouds" are cute, but didn't find them to add anything to the drink. By the time I had reached halfway through the ice, I ended up trashing the flavorless ice slush. Not worth $6.25 by any means. Service is lacking, the line moves slowly and waiting for drinks took a while. I would say it took about 10-15 minutes to get our drinks. Price is on the higher end and does not reflect the quality of their product. Their branding is good, but what good are the aesthetics when quality is lacking? Finally got the opportunity to try Rabbit Rabbit inside Valley Fair. It's located on the second floor around and it's a stand in the middle of the mall. My go-to milk tea order is earl grey so I was happy to see that they had an earl grey option. I got this at 25% sweetness and was actually pleasantly surprised. The tea flavor really came through and it wasn't grainy or artificial tasting. It tasted pretty authentic and I liked it at it's reduced sugar level. The boba pearls here aren't black like you might expect. They're actually clear, but they are chewy and taste the same as the black ones. My friend got the Iron Buddha and I tried a sip at it's normal sweetness level. This was a tea flavor that is definitely more unique and traditional tasting. If you're a tea connoisseur, you may enjoy this one. It is about $6 for boba, which can be hit or miss for some people. I've definitely been to really good boba places that charge about $6, but I've also been to places that charge a lot less for boba too. For the quality here, I don't think it's a horrible price. After reading my post, if you still want to drink their milk tea, then please advise them do not but a DEAD FLY (or whatever insects in your drink). Look at my photos, that was a huge big fly, drowning at the bottom of my drink with other topings. I literally sucked it in my mouth and bit it without knowing. Then realise what a werid topping I just ate. There is a photo of the leg of the dead fly that I bit out of my mouth... (yes, please laugh, since I cannot forget at all the feeling of how crunchy it was.) I paid 3 drinks plus tips for almost $20. Not about money, but I would really paid them $200 to undo the feeling of the fly in my mouth. I am right now so frustrated. Finally a good boba place in the mall! I was excited to hear a more genuine place opened in Valley Fair and I was able to try it last weekend. It's located in the middle of the mall, not near the food court. It's on the more remodeled side so everything looks really spacious and bright. I heard there were long lines but when we arrived around 1pm on Saturday there were only 2 parties ahead of us. After reading reviews, Iron Buddha seemed to be the most popular so we decided to try the Iron Buddha Milk Tea and Golden Jinxuan Milk Tea. Both of these were Oolong Teas. I personally like the Iron Buddha more because there was a stronger tea taste. The Golden Jinxuan just tasted like milk. Their boba was also clear boba! I liked their boba a lot. On Sunday we came to the mall again so we decided to try their fruit teas. The signature fresh fruit was really sweet and they told us to do 50% sweetness. But it was still really sweet so I would suggest maybe 25%. I got the Lychee green tea and it came with Lychee jelly. They said this would be pretty sweet too so I got 25% sweet.
