This is my second review of Lucky Tea and I just have to say when you have so many Boba choices at Westfield Valley Fair to choose from, Lucky Tea is in my opinion top shelf! Great service and very customer oriented! Very reasonable pricing compared to some of the other Boba shops there!

My favorite boba shop in the bay! If you're a coffee lover you don't want to miss this. I moved from SoCal where mocha (my go to boba was commonly an option in almost every boba shop i went to) ever since moving to the Bay Area it hasn't been easy finding a Mocha based boba drink, most shops just offer tea based bobas. Then I found Lucky Tea! Where they blend delicious coffee drinks that taste similar if not better than some of my favorite mocha drinks. Recently I tried their Lucky Vietnamese Frappuccino and that really stood out the me. So yummy and the honey boba is a must! Service has been pretty fast they have multiple ordering tablets. There is also a nice wall to take a photo op.

We were parked at this wing and upon walking in, VF is insanely busy. I have not been here in years. We just had a delicious lunch but h really needed a cold drink! Lucky Teas right there. You order on tablet, and wait to be called. Your order is then made by the workers and then your order/name is called when it's ready. I had a jasmine tea with cream, $8.50 with a tip. Overall ok. Nothing special. I guess I'm underwhelmed and the price is making it as much. Is it because I'm at the mall. Clean stand with 2 workers that I can see. The tea was ok. I actually really liked the lid, great concept.

Cure and delicious! Mango, orange, lime fruit tea.

Yummy tea at Lucky Tea! Visiting from out of town and while in the mall saw this cute spot. I was craving something fresh and the cashier helped pick me out a fruit tea. It was delicious! Mango and orange with a green tea base. She was super sweet and friendly and my tea was soo good. Will def come back anytime we are in the area!

Did some shopping and naturally got a little parched. My sister in law and I decided to make a stop here. I ordered the passion fruit green tea with boba. The tea was fine but I was not a fan of the boba. It was extremely soft and felt it didn't add anything to the drink. My SIL also didn't enjoy her drink and regretted we didn't go somewhere else.

K9. Rose Jasmine Green Tea with Aloe Vera--and bits of paper :(
    Lindsay L.

KEEP WALKING. If you're thinking about getting a drink here, don't do it. There's a reason this place never has a line, and unfortunately, it's because it's not good. I got the rose green tea, less sweet, with aloe vera. My "Not-So-Lucky Tea" had rose petals in it, but it tasted like pieces of paper, and overall it tasted awful. The tea itself was bad, the aloe vera wasn't fresh, and drinking what tasted like bits of paper in my drink was honestly just disgusting. Yuck! There are so many better boba options at Valley Fair. And you only have to walk a minute or two away. Skip Lucky Tea!

Ordered on a Wednesday evening and there was no line. The employee mentioned that it would be easier to look at the menu using the tablet. We ordered one of the limeade teas with lychee jelly and the coffee creama. The limeade tea was good, but it felt like it had less tea because of what's inside. The employee was super nice and the drinks came quickly. Cute spot on a second floor corner.

Fast service. We didn't have to wait that long. Cute little corner area. We enjoyed anything fruity and with the popping bubbles!

    Mimi L.

Tried it the first time and my drink was ok. Ordered a four season fruity drink (fruits and green tea) without ice and sugar. It was still too sweet for my taste. Green milk tea tasted bitter with regular sugar. Located next to mall entrance and the shop has constant flow of traffic. Friendly and courteous service. Will still give them a try.

B3. Sun Moon Lake Black Milk Tea
    Alyssa P.

Love stopping by here to get bubble tea if I'm at the mall. They have a strong tea flavor base which I always enjoy. My go to here is the Sun Moon Lake Black Milk Tea. The standard 50% sweet is good for me when I include boba. If I get it without, I'd up the sweetness a bit. There's options for a self serve kiosk or you can order at the front. They also keep togo bags and drink holders on the side for you to do it yourself too which is nice.

Dubai chocolates are really saturating the market these days and if I'm being honest, some of the versions just aren't any good. However, knowing that the baked goods here are a great quality and based upon the look of itself I decided to give it a try. Wow! This was a perfect balance of chocolate and pistachio, made with real ingredients. The cookie had both taste a slight crunch and a moistness in the interior. Really lovely little coffee shop that leans into that industrial warehouse vibe in the best way…read more The coffee was great--I ended up trying both on-tap cold brews on the day we went because I didn't realize that buying a bag of whole bean coffee came with a free coffee drink. With some coffees a second cup will give me a stomach ache (especially since I drink my cold brews black and bitter like my soul), but I had no problems with their cold brews! I also got the vegan stonefruit scone (baked by Sweet Dragon) and while a little on the dry side (common with scones), paired extremely well with the coffee and had good flavor. Husband got a cappuccino and a strawberry mini pie and was extremely pleased with his order. The service is friendly, but some things may have been new on the day we went. They almost forgot my cold brew until we asked at the counter, as well as stating that they didn't have anything to heat up my husband's strawberry pie (which seems odd, since a little toaster oven seems like a simple fix for that), but apparently it was fantastic at room temperature anyway. Seating was absolutely full when we got there and we were lucky to snag a table as another couple left, so it seems like a popular Saturday morning spot. Several folks were working on laptops, and it seems like a kid-friendly place. The decor is a clean and modern/trendy industrial style, which works well for the space, and the windows provide nice daylight. Overall, a good coffee shop and I am really happy to see vegan pastry options! My husband is getting into pinball, which was part of the motivation to come out and try Chromatic, so I am sure we'll be back again next time he wants to hit up Slingshot (in the same building), and I look forward to the coffee and treats!

The seating area is quite limited for the large crowd it attracts, making the atmosphere inside feel a bit chaotic at peak times. Fortunately, the baristas are super polite and work fast, keeping the long lines moving efficiently. The coffee menu and the retail bean selection are both impressive. I decided to try a dulce de leche coffee. While I was expecting a strong caramel profile of dulce de leche, the flavor turned out to be fairly subtle rather than prominent. It added a significant sweetness, but without knowing the order beforehand, identifying the exact flavor would have been tough. That said, the coffee itself was still refreshing The high quality of the coffee bean really shone through, delivering a rich aroma and the ideal caffeine kick for a breezy morning. Great coffee beans and fast service make it worth dropping in, even if the indoor seating situation is a bit tight.

The espresso is solid. Today I tried the seasonal Melo Belo. It's an iced banana latte with a coconut cream on top. The banana flavor is subtle and not too sweet. That's my preference when I have coffee, but I think most would actually benefit from asking for extra banana syrup. The coconut foam is also subtly sweet, and actually has a slight saltiness that helps the drink feel well-balanced. This drink was definitely a treat.
