I love it there! It has been a wonderful experience each time I go here and ever since I've moved to west Seattle, I love recommending this place. The staff here are so kind and always let any new customers know where their food is sourced. The space is open and breezy during the summer and it's such a bright and welcoming space. I love the food here too! It's on the pricier end of food, but I've never left feeling unsatisfied or still wanting more food. It's a wonderful time!

We live all of the dishes here but especially the bolognese. The service has ways been quick, friendly and helpful. This is a nicer place, a bit more expensive. Great for special occasions. Reservations recommended but if you're OK with the bar, a great spot to slip in.

The bolognese subbed with a different type of pasta because they were out of strozzapretti. To die for!

My husband and I are the parents of two young children with special needs. Needless to say, we don't get out much, but last night we paid (dearly) for a babysitter, drove all the way from Marysville, and went out on a long overdue date night. My husband chose Raccolto to surprise me with because the menu has so many of my favorite things. It did not disappoint! A blonde woman greeted us at the podium. She looked straight down her nose at my husband and me. I don't think she smiled even once. But that was the only sour note of the evening. Once the General Manager, Hunter, started taking care of us, we were treated like royalty. The oyster starter was perfection, the champagne mignonette the perfect accoutrement. Next was the pasta course. I ordered the bolognese, my husband ordered the braised rabbit dish. Hunter explained that they were out of the Strozzapretti pasta that bolognese is usually served with but that it could be paired with another pasta shape of my choosing. I asked for and took Hunter's recommendation which I believe was cavatappi, though it wasn't on the menu. Both dishes were delicious and very generously portioned, but we agreed that the bolognese was the winning dish between the two. It was rich and delicious, meaty but not overpowered by sometimes strong taste of lamb. I devoured it. I only wish we'd had some table bread to mop up the delectable sauce. Halfway through our pasta dishes, to my carb-loving heart's delight, we were offered a complimentary dish of the cacio e pepe! What a treat! And the generosity didn't end there--Hunter was incredibly generous with the complimentary pours of wine that he said would need to be thrown out at the end of the night if the bottles weren't finished. We were feeling indulgent so we also ordered main courses as well. I ordered the scallops and hubby got the osso buco . By this point I was so stuffed from all the pasta that I didn't mind in the least when Hunter regretfully informed me that they had run out of scallops. But to make up for the inconvenience, we were given another order of the oysters and the tuna crudo on the house. Did I mention how wonderful the oysters are? The tuna was wonderful too. It was the perfect light finish to an incredibly rich and satisfying meal. My husband's osso buco arrived and it was a revelation. We've had (and made) the variations of the dish made with traditional lamb and even beef shank many times. Pork shank was a first. And the SAUCE!!! I wanted to lick the plate clean. In short, this was the most perfect meal we've had in a decade, since before the children came along and we had the disposable income to enjoy fine dining at Michelin-rated restaurants rather than Red Robin or Applebees. Thank you Raccolto and especially Hunter for reminding us that what a sublime dining experience could be.

Pretty restaurant with healthy looking plants. Moderate noise level. Still able to have a conversation. Service was slow but very friendly. I was just a party of one but my meal took almost 2 hours. It was Seattle restaurant week so $50 dinner for 3 courses. I loved that you get to sample all four appetizers. (They forgot to give me the asparagus but let me take it home for later.) You choose an entree and dessert from a short list (see attached picture of the options). Good food but not remarkable. I had the rigatoni. The pasta was undercooked so they re-cooked it. The dish had nice fresh peas and dill and lots of cute little mushrooms but it was lacking in flavor. Maybe the optional egg (for $2) would have helped. The lemon (1/2) tart had a nice zing. The other half was a cream tart like panna cotta with a crust. Worth a try when you want a relaxed evening.

The pork chop

had a strong charcoal flavor , very dominant. You could really taste the grill. Personally, I didn't enjoy it, but you might like it if that's your thing.

We were able to get seating at the bar, which is very limited, to dine in for their happy hour. They have appetizers and 2 pasta entrees on their happy hour. These are great deals and ways to try some of their items for a discounted rate. Their food was great but I wasn't blown away. The portions are great and I think the noodles/pasta itself was cooked perfectly!

This place was sooooo good! We got lucky and had 5pm reservations and happened to fall in their happy hour time frame. $75 for what would have cost us $150 easily. But I would've paid $150 for it in a heartbeat. Homemade pesto pasta and burrata was amazing. My cocktail cost more than the pasta! We will definitely be back and are checking out other restaurants owned by the same people too.

A couple hours later, I checked again and there was 1 cancellation. I am SO glad we had the opportunity to try this place. It's small, so would be difficult for large parties. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable. The food was INCREDIBLE. Like close your eyes, and feel all the emotions while you're eating incredible. There was not a single dish I didn't enjoy. I would love to return and try the option where you get to try every antipasto, primo, and second on the menu for $122/person. Can't wait to come back to Seattle just for this!

Even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy during our visit, our server was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, which made communication a bit challenging. One nice touch was the complimentary bread service, which came with a generous amount of butter. We started with the artichokes from the seasonal menu. I was expecting them to be served warm or roasted, but they arrived cold, which was admittedly a misunderstanding on my part. The accompanying sauce was excellent though and definitely saved the dish for me. We also ordered the tajarin al ragù, one of the restaurant's signature dishes. Unfortunately, this was where my expectations and experience diverged. The pasta felt under-seasoned to me, and the noodles seemed overcooked. Rather than the silky texture I was hoping for, I found myself eating what felt like clumps of dough. It was a dish I really wanted to love given its reputation, but it just didn't click for me. We weren't looking for a heavy dinner, so we only ordered a couple of items. It's entirely possible we came on an off night or simply didn't choose the restaurant's strongest dishes. I'd be open to giving Cascina Spinasse another try in the future, but this visit left me feeling a bit underwhelmed compared to the hype.

You walk in and order at a self-service kiosk, and there are plenty of options to customize your pasta. You can choose from different pasta types and sauces, which makes it easy to build exactly what you want. We ordered the short rib pasta and the carbonara, along with a cannoli for dessert. After ordering, you seat yourself and they call your name when the food is ready. We had no problem finding a table for two. There seemed to be a lot of takeout orders coming through. Both pastas tasted fresh and were cooked al dente, just as advertised. The carbonara was creamy and flavorful. The short rib itself was good, but the pasta and sauce were a bit separated, so the pasta didn't absorb as much flavor as I expected. The cannoli was very filling and had a hint or orange in it. Overall, it's a good spot if you're looking for quick, customizable pasta. Just keep in mind that it's more of a fast-casual place rather than a full sit-down service restaurant.

But trust me when I say they transformed this space into something really beautiful. If you ever went to the old salad bar back in the day, you would never recognize it now. It looks great! My sister brought me here for my birthday dinner because I had my heart set on Italian, and she delivered. From the moment we sat down the service was wonderful. I genuinely felt taken care of the whole evening. For dinner I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo, which is my go-to at any Italian spot, and it did not disappoint. The portions are generous too, which I always appreciate. I also had a Greek salad and enjoyed every bite. My sister's only note was that the anchovies in her Caesar were pretty bold, but honestly, a traditional Caesar has anchovies in it. That's kind of the point! I ordered the tiramisu to go and I am so glad I did. It is my favorite Italian dessert and this one hit the spot. Yum!! Overall it was a really lovely birthday dinner. Let me tell you, Lupo is high on my list of "Best 'Za In Seattle", and it will be on yours as well. The waiter told us something about how they're "fancy pizza but not stuck up" (not a direct quote), which fits right in with Seattle gastronomic philosophy. It's worth trying to get here early in the night, because it can be difficult to get a seat. And you want to have some time to sit down and enjoy this pizza. Make sure you wear your best sitting pants though, because you're in for a meal that will make you progressively adjust the belt loops as time goes on. I'm sure that there are plenty of top notch pizzas across the menu here, but the Caesar salad may have been a best-in-class item. The dressing was perfectly balanced with just enough anchovy taste, and there was exactly enough of it on every bite. Instead of having croutons in the salad, they had a heaping portion of toasted breadcrumbs that made each bite so much more interesting. Caesar himself would be proud. All of the pizzas sounded great, but I was pretty sure that they would be able to execute on a cacio e pepe flawlessly here, and I wasn't disappointed. The initial bite was everything that I could have hoped for. But I would make sure that you demolish this pizza promptly - it's not one that's great as leftovers. I think that is the case for most pizza of this style anyways. I am ridiculously excited about coming back to Lupo in the future to try more pizzas. The tiramisu is a very good dessert with a nice strong espresso flavor and not too much sweetness. I tried to order the fettuccine de mare, listed at $29 (no extra fees on Toast), but they told me it would be $43. That already didn't make sense. Then the server says, "We actually have 50% off happy hour until 11, come in and dine." So I came in. Ordered a drink, escargot, and a steak medium rare. The escargot came out fine. Then... nothing. 39 minutes later (at 10:45pm), the server asks if I'm waiting on anything else. Yes... my steak. She goes to check, disappears, and then comes back with something that honestly felt DISTESPECTFUL. The steak looked like scraps. Uneven, mismatched chunks, all different sizes, with burnt, crispy edges and covered in sauce like they were trying to hide it. It didn't look like a single cut of meat it looked like pieces from multiple steaks thrown together. The plating was sloppy, and the side looked like an afterthought. I didn't take a bite. I looked through it and said, "This looks like pieces from different steaks." She told me she watched them cut it... then immediately followed that by saying she saw them put it under a heat lamp to reheat. So which is it? I work in the food industry. I'm not going to be gaslit over a plate like that. She offered to refire it, but at that point it was almost 11 and they were closing. I paid for my drink and left. Honestly, I wouldn't have been upset if they had just told me the kitchen was closing when I called. But don't invite me in, forget my order, and then serve something like this and try to pass it off like it's normal. Just be honest.
