I love it there! It has been a wonderful experience each time I go here and ever since I've moved to west Seattle, I love recommending this place. The staff here are so kind and always let any new customers know where their food is sourced. The space is open and breezy during the summer and it's such a bright and welcoming space. I love the food here too! It's on the pricier end of food, but I've never left feeling unsatisfied or still wanting more food. It's a wonderful time!

We live all of the dishes here but especially the bolognese. The service has ways been quick, friendly and helpful. This is a nicer place, a bit more expensive. Great for special occasions. Reservations recommended but if you're OK with the bar, a great spot to slip in.

The bolognese subbed with a different type of pasta because they were out of strozzapretti. To die for!

My husband and I are the parents of two young children with special needs. Needless to say, we don't get out much, but last night we paid (dearly) for a babysitter, drove all the way from Marysville, and went out on a long overdue date night. My husband chose Raccolto to surprise me with because the menu has so many of my favorite things. It did not disappoint! A blonde woman greeted us at the podium. She looked straight down her nose at my husband and me. I don't think she smiled even once. But that was the only sour note of the evening. Once the General Manager, Hunter, started taking care of us, we were treated like royalty. The oyster starter was perfection, the champagne mignonette the perfect accoutrement. Next was the pasta course. I ordered the bolognese, my husband ordered the braised rabbit dish. Hunter explained that they were out of the Strozzapretti pasta that bolognese is usually served with but that it could be paired with another pasta shape of my choosing. I asked for and took Hunter's recommendation which I believe was cavatappi, though it wasn't on the menu. Both dishes were delicious and very generously portioned, but we agreed that the bolognese was the winning dish between the two. It was rich and delicious, meaty but not overpowered by sometimes strong taste of lamb. I devoured it. I only wish we'd had some table bread to mop up the delectable sauce. Halfway through our pasta dishes, to my carb-loving heart's delight, we were offered a complimentary dish of the cacio e pepe! What a treat! And the generosity didn't end there--Hunter was incredibly generous with the complimentary pours of wine that he said would need to be thrown out at the end of the night if the bottles weren't finished. We were feeling indulgent so we also ordered main courses as well. I ordered the scallops and hubby got the osso buco . By this point I was so stuffed from all the pasta that I didn't mind in the least when Hunter regretfully informed me that they had run out of scallops. But to make up for the inconvenience, we were given another order of the oysters and the tuna crudo on the house. Did I mention how wonderful the oysters are? The tuna was wonderful too. It was the perfect light finish to an incredibly rich and satisfying meal. My husband's osso buco arrived and it was a revelation. We've had (and made) the variations of the dish made with traditional lamb and even beef shank many times. Pork shank was a first. And the SAUCE!!! I wanted to lick the plate clean. In short, this was the most perfect meal we've had in a decade, since before the children came along and we had the disposable income to enjoy fine dining at Michelin-rated restaurants rather than Red Robin or Applebees. Thank you Raccolto and especially Hunter for reminding us that what a sublime dining experience could be.

Pretty restaurant with healthy looking plants. Moderate noise level. Still able to have a conversation. Service was slow but very friendly. I was just a party of one but my meal took almost 2 hours. It was Seattle restaurant week so $50 dinner for 3 courses. I loved that you get to sample all four appetizers. (They forgot to give me the asparagus but let me take it home for later.) You choose an entree and dessert from a short list (see attached picture of the options). Good food but not remarkable. I had the rigatoni. The pasta was undercooked so they re-cooked it. The dish had nice fresh peas and dill and lots of cute little mushrooms but it was lacking in flavor. Maybe the optional egg (for $2) would have helped. The lemon (1/2) tart had a nice zing. The other half was a cream tart like panna cotta with a crust. Worth a try when you want a relaxed evening.

    The pork chop

had a strong charcoal flavor , very dominant. You could really taste the grill. Personally, I didn't enjoy it, but you might like it if that's your thing.

We were able to get seating at the bar, which is very limited, to dine in for their happy hour. They have appetizers and 2 pasta entrees on their happy hour. These are great deals and ways to try some of their items for a discounted rate. Their food was great but I wasn't blown away. The portions are great and I think the noodles/pasta itself was cooked perfectly!

This place was sooooo good! We got lucky and had 5pm reservations and happened to fall in their happy hour time frame. $75 for what would have cost us $150 easily. But I would've paid $150 for it in a heartbeat. Homemade pesto pasta and burrata was amazing. My cocktail cost more than the pasta! We will definitely be back and are checking out other restaurants owned by the same people too.

Juicy and plump, they are from Jack Bailey's farm and especially and only for Salty's restaurant, I was told. Then prime rib. Nice medium rare and tender. We came by on a Sunday late afternoon for what we thought would be a quick dinner, and it ended up being such a lovely meal. We ordered the pad thai, pad kee mao, banh xeo, and the mango trout. Even though the restaurant was fairly busy, everything came out in a timely manner and tasted so fresh and thoughtfully prepared. One thing I really appreciated was how flavorful and tender the meats were in each dish. You could tell the proteins were marinated and cared for before being added in, instead of just tossed into a noodle dish as an afterthought like I've experienced at other places. It made such a difference. The mango trout was such a standout. The trout was a great size, and the mango was firm, crunchy, and fresh, which I absolutely loved. The banh xeo was also delicious: thin, crispy, and served with fresh herbs that weren't wilted at all. The nuoc mam was perfect too, not overly sweet, light, balanced, and just right with the banh xeo. Portions were generous, and we ended up taking food home because we couldn't finish everything. That is always a good problem to have. Most of all, I really want to mention how welcoming the service was. Lynda took such great care of us and made the whole experience feel warm and personal. You can tell this is a place with heart behind it, and I truly hope more people in the neighborhood give it a try. It's not easy running a small business, especially in a beautiful but busy area like Alki, and restaurants like this deserve to be supported. We'll definitely be back. The exception was our vegan friend, who had a vegan version of midori, their vegetable omakase. The menu said the omakase would take about two hours, but it ended up taking three hours since there was a lot of waiting between items. The quality of the fish varied--the shrimp was good, but the uni and salmon did not seem as fresh. The cooked dishes were good though, and I appreciated the interesting combinations like pickles + geoduck and ice cream + furikake popcorn. The cooked salmon was nice and soft, just barely cooked through. It was great that this omakase place is vegan-friendly, but unfortunately, my friend was not a fan of most of her food. But we all liked the soup that came before dessert! I actually really enjoyed the black cod miso soup they served; it was very rich in umami. I appreciate that this restaurant uses sustainably-sourced seafood, which contributes to the higher price, but I unfortunately still didn't find the meal to be worth the high price tag, especially given the slow service. The server was nice and filled our water pretty frequently, but the estimate of how long dinner would take was too inaccurate. We were also confused about how we got six pieces of each type of oshizushi (the cube-like sushi) to split among four people

We were looking for a different food experience beyond hotdogs. I was impressed. The family is Lebanese and the father was the inspiration for the food. When I came to k ow the place and the owners, the mother was active in the restaurant. She introduced me to Lebanese oregano (Za'atar) and gave me some to grow. The two sisters have always been nice, but Nadia and Sonya are simple beautiful humans that go Out of your way to ensure you have a great experience. Their wait staff are very good and you hardly know they are present as they quietly bring food and remove plates with quiet excellence. I have always felt warm and cared for each time I have eaten at Phoenecia and have been friends with the owners for about 15 years. I have friends that have food establishments but have not come close to Phoenecia. Burrata is a tricky one for me. To soft and it is like water and bland to a cheese with a very light flavor to begin with and too firm and it can have the texture of mozzarella. The shell of this was perfect and allowed me to enjoy it with the toasted bread. The warmed olives are a great way to start the meal. There is a hint of chili oil and decorated with arugula. I am not a fan of kale, however, the manner in which this salad is made with shredded kale, and a tangy dressing with toasted spiced garbanzo beans with Kalamata olives, blue cheese covered with thier lemon basil vinaigrette was just wonderful. The spicy shrimp strike an interring balance between the slices that are used and heat from the spices. I could eat this dish all night. There just never seems to be enough u til you remember that you still have another appetizer in the main course ahead of you. The saffron chicken linguini was amazing. The saffron flavor was intoxicating and I loved every fork full, leaving the sauce and bread as an additional treat together. I had a small tast of the gnocchi with lamb sausage in truffle oil and found it to be heavenly. I finished the meal With a Turkish affogato and enjoyed every sip and the melted vanilla ice cream simply added to the richness of the flavor. They have come up with a novel idea to recycle bottles that had whisky and use them for water. The shape adds a lovely decorative note to the table not expected. Phoenecia will always be a place like home for me.

To start I got the "Mediterranean G&T" - gin & tonic and what came out was a gin & tonic about as fancy the restaurant - a stem glass with a huge piney herb hanging out of it. The drink hit. My date got the "Pretty in Pink" which is small, but not in the alcohol percent dept. she said it was good. We shared some small plates - she raved about the Saffron chicken, and I recommended the roasted cauliflower. The Saffron chicken are short cuts accompanied by saffron sauce and some pitas to eat if off of. These sauce for sure is really good, I even put some on the cauliflower. My only complaint is some of the bites of I found to be too salty. The Cauliflower was also good, nicely seasoned but the cuts were huge and tough, I think it would be better presented with the florets. The service was good but the prices for what we got was a bit steep. The "small plates" and drinks came over $70. They were good, but not THAT good. Still the ambience, service and food for what it was along with a varied Mediterranean menu is good. I'd say Phoenecia is about a 3.5-4.
